The White House has vowed no dust, no dollars for Iran as Donald Trump reveals the US and Iran are closing in on a memorandum of understanding that would get oil flowing again while allowing 30 days for nuclear negotiations. The president posted, "The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes." And here was a secretary of state, Marco Rubio. They would rather invest in Hezbollah.

They would rather invest in the rapists and the murderers of Hamas. They would rather invest in those groups than they do in their own people. That's what Iran invests in and that's what the world that's what you should be asking me about. That's what the BBC should be covering and that's what these other media outlets should be covering is how evil these people are in Iran and the damage they've done to people all over the world. Joining me now is former White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley. Hogan, great to have you back on the show. Thanks for joining me. So, clearly progress has been made. Not quite a done deal yet. How do you read where things are at?

Well, I've talked to a lot of people over at the White House. It seems they're about 95% of the way there. But only Donald Trump could bring us to the precipice of peace in the Middle East. Yet again, Iran obviously the large the world's largest state sponsor of terror, the death and destruction they've caused in the last several decades. Well documented. Marco Rubio pointed that out and chastised a reporter rightly so for not focusing on the real issues here. with Donald Trump smartly bringing them to the table and saying you're not getting a thing from us until you give us a whole bunch. You've got to open up the straits. That relieves a lot of the

pressure globally. Of course, here in America as well, we need your enriched uranium as well. That seems to be kind of step one of the process. And step two is giving over that nuclear material. And then and only then is there a chance or an opportunity to get those sanctions relieved that have been crippling Iran for a while. Yeah, look, absolutely. We're hoping to get to that point. The world is watching. Um the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, he posted, "President Trump and I agreed that any final agreement with Iran must eliminate the nuclear danger. That means dismantling Iran's nuclear enrichment sites and removing its enriched nuclear material from its territory." President Trump also reaffirmed Israel's right to defend

itself against threats on every front, including Lebanon. Hogan, I mean, there have been a lot of critics about where things are at now with the negotiations. There have been some saying, "Well, unless there is a ground invasion, the regime will never be eliminated." Is that a fair assessment? No. Uh, listen, Donald Trump was president before, and everyone said the moves he made over there would bring about World War II. The whole thing was going to fall in catastrophe. You can't move the American embassy uh to Jerusalem. That would send the whole

region into a tail spin. You can't recognize the Golan Heights. that would make everyone, you know, fire off weapons. None of those things happened. He looked around the room and said, "You guys have been doing this the same old way, the same old people making the same old mistakes. We're going to do things differently." And then he brought about peace. This instance is no different. The world for a long time, past presidents, both Republican and Democrats here in America, have been talking about preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. It's only Donald Trump who said, "You know what?

We've been talking about it. Let's prevent them from getting that weapon." And he's done so. The military strikes were so uh systematic, were so surgical. But then he turned around and stopped the straight uh you moving the oil back and forth for Iran, crippling their economy. Uh you what is it? 14 billion dollars a month that they don't have anymore. This is a really smart move by the president settling not just uh America here and making our lives and our way of life safe. Uh it's for the world as well. Many people around the globe understand that Iran can't get a nuclear weapon. It's only Donald Trump has done something about it. I look I agree. I mean he's not just doing this

for America. He's doing this for the West in general because the world will be safer once Iran is rided of its nuclear arsenal. and I just feel like a lot of world leaders, particularly on the West, Australia, the UK, they have not come to the table on this and they've conducted themselves just absolutely appallingly and not helped their key ally. It's been uh dreadful. So, yes, I agree. Good on Donald Trump. You know, and you know that's kind of one of the core functions of an ally there. There are some moral similarities you should probably have an with an ally to some degree. Yes, there are also intelligence sharing, information

sharing. We do that as well. But one of the main pillars of being an ally to America or anybody else is when they come calling, you answer the call. And like you just said, so many who have been ringing their hands about Iran and wanting something done, Trump does it. And as allies to America, they're not coming forward to help. This is the crunch time. This is when we need you and you're not there. And someone like Donald Trump, he doesn't forget that kind of stuff. No. No, he definitely does not. I mean, we've seen him really snub the UK. He's made comments about Australia, too. He uh he doesn't, God forbid, the shoe was on the other foot, and we needed the United States for example. Um Hogan,

it's been revealed that first daughter Ivanka Trump. Now, she was the target of an assassination plot by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps trained terrorist. It was a twisted plot to avenge the president, taking out his mentor. This Iraqi national uh was allegedly targeting Trump's family in response to the killing of Iranian military chief Kasim Solamani in a US drone strike in Baghdad 6 years ago. You know, Hogan, I guess it just goes to the point again that the seriousness of the threat of Iran, not just in Tyran itself, but also on American home soil. All over the world, there were hits put out on several members of the administration the first time around. I was on a train when Donald Trump was no longer present going from Washington

DC to New York. It's called the Asella Corridor. You were on the Asella train. And someone came up to me and said, "Hey, it's great to see you. We had so much fun working together." And I said, "Sure, great to see you." And then I thought to myself, I wonder why his name has come up in my mind recently. And I went and looked up online and realized he was one of the ones that Iran had put a hit out on. Now, I stood up and walked about four cars back because I was like, "Hold on. I don't want anything to happen and be around it." But then you kind of realize what's going on here. These are real threats to real people and they have been occurring now for quite some time to the Trump administration. And as Donald Trump

says, when you try to do things, people hate you. When you try to fix things, people attack you. His family is not off limits either. And that is disgusting. It is deplorable. It is absolutely dangerous. And I'm friends with Ivanka. I worked with the first administration. I'm friends with Jared. We text a lot. This is really, really not shocking, but is extremely sad and quite frankly really scary, too. This is why it just goes to show that people hellbent on death and destruction have to be dealt with in brutal ways or they will unleash that brutality onto you.

Yeah, it's absolutely frightening and it should worry all Americans that this sort of thing is happening on home soil.
