Exploring the Giant Claw in Subnautica 2

Exploring the Giant Claw in Subnautica 2

Markiplier continues his Subnautica 2 adventure, building lockers and exploring the ocean depths. He encounters alien structures, deciphers mysterious messages, and faces the dangers of the deep. The episode ends with the current early access story progression, leaving him eager for future updates.

INSIDE THE GREAT JAW | Subnautica 2 - Part 13. | Transcript:

Hello everybody. My name is Markiplier and welcome back to Subnotica. It's time to literally make more lockers because we don't have enough to put names on anymore. I only have two over there. So, I have to make more. And I think it makes sense to put them on the outside wall here because there's no Never mind. Must be placed inside a base. Well, I guess I'll just go spend more time making more base so that I can have more lockers. Unless I put them. Oh, I'm so smart. God damn, I'm smart. Holy hell, I'm so smart. If I put these ass to ass, I should be able to make Let's see. Actually, I feel like you could be a little more spac. I feel like it's fine. Yeah. Well, actually, that's that's probably

No. Okay, we're doing it like this. No one will ever know that it's not an efficient use of space. It will be hidden perfectly. Even though it's not quite enough there, it's fine. This is all good. This is good. Okay, I have more lockers. Now I will be able to do the thing that I said to do, which is to put more names on here where I had the tab open. Mr. Diamond says, "I love how Mark gracefully dodges all the fishes just to ram his tadpole into the nearest wall and take more damage than he would have otherwise." Well, thank you. Thank you, Mr. Diamond.

I never would have made that connection before, and frankly, I still don't want to make that connection now. Alfie, Alfie, Alfie, Alfie, Alfie says, "Still waiting for you to enter that giant clam mark. I can't get all your alfies in here, so I'm just going to call you Alfie. Alfie, Alfie. You're going to be waiting for a long time. I don't think we ever need to do that. It's It's all good. Thomas JCG 7086. Mark has done more damage to his tadpole than any creature thus far. I think that last episode proves that there are some rather violent animals out there in the ocean and they need to be addressed.

It's not entirely my fault. Let's see. Azy bread says, "Did I hear boss music? Chica's arfs come menacingly closer." Does that mean Chica is the boss here? Is that is it this? Because I believe I'm in charge. And also if you know Jacob took over the channel, I think we can all agree it would not videos would be even less predictable than they have been thus far. At Freed says Mark names his bases like I name my documents in a way that I'm never going to remember what it was. I remember. I remember because base ah is the first one starting with the first letter.

It's not logical. This is not helping me. And this one's named base, oh no, which is two words, and therefore it's base two. And then base I'm going to die is going to be the third one. Caitlyn Miller says, uh, waiting for a little starfish to suck out all the power from the seaothth when he isn't looking. Well, now I'm going to be looking and now I'm not going to have to worry about that because I'm definitely cognizant of the things going on around me. Never forget Jeffrey, Billy, Sam Wise, and Marshall. Oh my god, I forgot. What were they like drones that followed you around? Oh my god, I forgot about Jeffrey, Billy, Sam Wise, and Marshall. But the names are so stuck. Moby Thick.

Thank you, Moby Thick. Also, great name. Wow. Jeffrey, Billy, Samos, and Marshall. Were they just the drones that they built things, right? They built things. Why do I think, man? Oh, it's been so long. God, I can't even remember that one hour of silence occasionally broken by Hello everybody. My name is Mark. is that? Hello everybody. My name is Markiplier. They are Hello everybody. My name is Markiplier. It's not even me saying it right. It's not even me saying Okay. pioneers preferring to die in

toxic delirium rather than tumor riddled agony. Yeah, Mark would know something about both of those. Okay, I've had a tumor and I don't think I've ever had toxic delirium so I don't know what you're referring to. Also, god damn it, it's night now. Frick. Let's see. Realis 214. Man, how do you manage to get a good posture while you play games all day? Mine is ruined and I don't know how to fix it. I don't think my posture is good at all. In fact, I was doing a standing desk for a very long time and then what happens is you get lazy one day. You set it to sit mode and then you never put it back into walk mode. Talk mode. No, stand mode. Never seen a man so brave. 3714. What happened?

The I got the Look, everyone goes through things, you know. We got you got is being brave doesn't mean not being afraid goo. It just means you're able to face your fears. And I think that I'm the bravest ever because I faced my big strong fears and I face my fears every day that I play this game. And just because I'm looking now to put my slippies on doesn't mean that I'm not brave. I am brave and I'm not defensive about it. End of discussion, I think. Anyway, I got all the things that I need. Wait, that was all the names. Okay, so I'm full up on names here, but I have a little bit extra storage, so that'll do for now. All right, I need to put back on my wings. Do I No, I have

the wings. Okay. All right. I'm going to do one more thing before I go. I'm going to grab a power cell and I'm going to grab a battery because occasionally I don't have those. I'm going to grab some water. Uh, and then some food. I'm going to eat one now. Put the rest in the storage cuz that's a Never mind. Storage is full. I forgot about that. All right. Well, I'm just I'm still going to go to the Angel Co and I'm going to do the things that I set out to do. Here we go. Hello everybody. My name is Mark.

Oh, I forgot that was here. What the Why is that still there? Fine. It's fine. It's very fine. Ignore that. Okay. So, the power plant that we're going to repair. This enormous electrical power plant is a hybrid methane hydroelectric design. Analysis suggested has been refitted and redesigned several times. Originally a hydroelectric turbine powered by hot water from the Titan rock board below. Redesigned to burn methane. Note liquid methane storage tanks in large intake exhaust stacks. Generates electricity compatible with Axom power grid at peak output capable of powering a major city.

All methane burning components apparently sabotaged circa 250 years ago. Plant abandoned. The plant could be returned to operation if key components are replaced in the heat pipe is reconnected to the Titan rock bore below. Critical component of the Axim power plant code cameum by pioneers. Before its sudden destruction, this turbine captured hot water flow to turn the generator. Original turbine replaced more by more advanced alloy upgrades approximately 300 years ago coincides with switch to methane burning power. Turbine destroyed by thermite fire 250 years ago. Probable sabotage. Fabricating new turbine blades

in place of the builder tool will require huge amounts of manganese alloys. If repaired, turbine could be linked to the Titan rock board below and power plant restored. All right. I wonder what sabotaged it cuz that's the question, right? No, I don't need a Why did you just What? What is wrong with you? I don't need that. But I do need the various materials here. I'm going to put you in there and you in there for now. Get all these out. Not the water. At least I can start the repair. I'll grab more out when I have them.

Oh, never mind. We're done. Power plant overhaul complete. Bloom cleared. Ready for restart. Damn. All right, we're ready for restart. That was so much faster than it should have been. For all the amazing resources that I put into this thing, I feel like that was just too quick. I was expecting some finesse, some pizzazz, you know? Actually, I'm going to point this in the right direction so that when I hop out of here, I can don't have to I don't miss a thing. I bet this is going to be quite the show. I bet it's going to be spectacular. Seeing this thing light up is going to be incredible. Nion unbelievable. Even what do you mean? Huh? What the Oh, what do you mean? Use Okay. All right. Use. All right. Okay.

All right. Are we good? Can we use it now? Huh? Oh, are there three other things to this? Oh, no. No, they're not. Power online. Turbine rotating. Output and steady. Power restored. hold on. Wait. Don't do anything. The alien observatory nearby. Entering the structure will give you a strong salvage claim. Oh, a salvage claim. That mean it could be mine? Oh, it's mine. I'm claiming it. No one can take it from me. This is mine. I think this is where I'm supposed to go. It's all lit up and looks cool. It's mine.

Everybody else is dead. This belongs to me. Nobody can make a claim against this. I'm I'm clearly the only one that can have a logical I did all the work. I did all of the work. Therefore, I should be the one to reap the rewards. Huh? Is this the observatory? Is this it? Is this the observatory? What do you mean? Where am I going? What am I missing? What am I doing? Huh? Come on, man. Come on. Give me something. Is that it? That's not it, is it? Is that it? Is that the thing? You said local nearby. Something nearby. You said something about nearby. All I heard was money. I could hear the dollar signs in the

coins. I could hear them going kaching in my brain. So, I'm only assuming that there's got to be something good here for me. You said claim. It's like a gold rush, right? I just got to be the first one there. What's this say? New methane fire. Uh-huh. Okay. I'm guessing this isn't an observation tower. This is just This is an exhaust, right? Ow. Why did that happen? Could it be the thing by my base? Maybe that was it. That was definitely it. That had to have been it. Yeah. For sure. It must have gone back and it must have powered up the thing that I've been by this whole time that I haven't been able to go into. But now

that it's on, I can go in there and claim it for my own. Right. Is it this thing? Is this a thing? Is this the observatory? It looks observational. Entrance. Me in. You. In. Me. You. Let me in. I claim you. Oh, Come on, man. This looks observational. Come on, man. Where is it? Where are you? Let me scan. Let me scan you. Come here, you. Let me scan Ouch.

Okay. All right. I know. I can hear people yelling at me from the future. I can hear the yelling from the future. I can hear them yelling and I have missed something. Let me look at what did you just say? Activity at the alien observatory nearby. Detecting activity at the alien observatory nearby. Entering the structure will give you a strong salvage claim. All right. This seems like Oh, yes. Ow. Yes. I knew I was in the right place.

Uh, crack carorum. Methane fire. Old curious. Oh, today Carakorum burns methane to power Xanadoo. New telescopes are better. This old tower stands as a museum. Oh, scan. Axiom door. Sure. Axiom door. TBD. Oh, no. All right. Uh, guess I'm getting close to the end. Just blast through. Yeah. And if we're lucky, Nahima kills us and fills our bioeds with concrete before the tailings get to us. This is the history. We can't blow it up. They do take good care of the exterior. What if the electrical system still works? We could hook up our own generator. Unless you can find me a wiring diagram.

We'd fry the whole system. You ever see a metal fire underwater? What if there are wiring diagrams, instructions right in front of us, and we just can't see them? Did your hot springs tell you about this? Actually, she might be right. The Axoms see with a combination of solar and polarized light. Some of their writing might be invisible to us. We'd need to modify our scanners to look for it or our eyes. All right, let's ask Sophie if we can try out her super scanner. PDA, activate the base camp waypoint. Sing. Drop a recording here in case we get reset.

Well, that's a very handy recording, but I already I probably should have I think I was supposed to find this way before and then I didn't. But that's okay. No living thing has disturbed this place in more than two centuries. The observatory's water is enriched by oxygen bubblers. Please do not become accustomed to this convenience. I feel like that's directed at me specifically and I feel insulted by it. But hey, it's from what you know the AI is saying there, it doesn't seem like any of my people had a chance to get there. Okay, binary star system. We got

the gas giant there that we're seeing. I'm guessing the green planet is where we are right now. There's a purple planet over there. H This is a map of the local solar system and nearby stars including a pulsar matching to transg known pulsar database estimating distance from Earth. Results deferred. Please consult your knowetic advisor. Uh, something classified. Something I'm not supposed to know about. Long ago, fire users called Ardiacs built a telescope at Kyakorum to spy on the world tree at Xanadu. Uh-huh. See death. After the zero year, when the daughter fell from space, all Axom fled to deep water. The telescope was destroyed.

In the year 500 pi, braze magi brave magi and vopards returned to Kakorum. They rebuilt this observatory to study the erratic messenger. Uhhuh. Go on. Okay. I'm I think these are guiding me up. And I think I'm supposed to swim up, but I'm curious if there's anything down first. No, nothing down. So, I'm guessing I go up. Ooh, big fish got in here. How'd the fish get in here? Use. Should I? Yeah, why not? Oh, architects, we beg your aid. The world trees are dying. Their angels cry out to us. The trees roots feed the world and the world feeds the trees. Each requires

other as we require you. But the roots are rotting. The nuclear heart dims. There is hope. Cross the great trench to Xanador. Find the Veps. The tre's chains may live in them. Find the Veps. Renew this tree. Beware. Crypttors slumber beneath the trees. They fear you. We leave them to your mercy. Analyzing message. Huh? The Axom language refers to the Titan class life form on the horizon as a world tree. There is an alien hibernation crypt below the world tree. Fresh intake. Site status unknown. Oh, thank you for playing. You can continue to explore, build, and enjoy the world, but you have reached the end of the current early access story and

progression. We want to thank you for playing and hope that you will join our open development process as we continue to add to the game in the future. Your support means everything and we know we make the best games possible with your feedback. Ah, it's over. Everybody panic. Everybody scream. Everybody run. Run for the hills. Power of bio concrete grown on an electroformed metal frame. The electrical system is designed to receive external power. Conclusion. The builders also constructed a power plant nearby assigning alien species designation from TSF Alist. Builders designated. Axom. That is a lot of really important information that I probably should have scanned a long time ago to get an understanding of exactly what I was

supposed to do from the very beginning. So, I'd know that this observatory was tied into everything and then I would be able to find a way to power it and that would have made logical progressive sense uh to what I was doing prior to this. Long story short, I should have known that's what I was doing instead of stumbling like an idiot into there. Okay. All right. So that is the end of the progression, but that is not the end of Subnotica 2 because there are much like in the original Subnotica going to be a lot of updates that go to this game throughout it. And what's interesting what's interesting right now is how much more there was when Subnotica first released as opposed to when Subnotica 2 first released. And I

have to guess that Subnotica Below Zero has been completed at this point. Or at least I hope so. I wouldn't hope that they just abandon it. Um, even if I kind of abandoned playing it, that's different when the developers do that. What I love about what's happening here is how much there is to do, how much there is to explore. And I kind of did pick a good spot for my base over in this side of the town. Um, but there's one thing that I haven't done yet that uh that I think is probably important that I do. And now, you know, uh, now that we're here, you know, it's kind of like a might as well situation. So, I should do that. What is that, you might ask? Well, you know, there's uh, welcome aboard.

There's a thing around, you know. Did I put that in the back here? Stop. All right. There's something back towards the other bases that I haven't gone to just yet. And that might have been what that one comment in the last episodes was saying about the inventory upgrades that I haven't exped. The thing pooped. Does that mean they're up above? I think that I would look up more and be able to see him a bit better or at least more often. Oh, is it turning nighttime again? God damn it. How do I always go out at night? Where did it go? Oh man, I don't know where it went. Hate it. It's fine. It's not that bad. I'll just stick to low. I'll just go low and then I'll be able to get all the way over there. No

problem. So, there's one other thing that I have not done yet. And this Oh, freak. Please don't. Okay, we're fine. I don't think it's coming after me. It's definitely not coming after me. Even though the music is getting louder, it's definitely not coming after me. Okay, it's definitely not coming after me. Hey, wait. Why does that look like the thing that I'm going for? Doesn't this look like Huh. Interesting. That's concerning. Oh. Oh, this is what I was looking for. Oh, no. This already is that. Oh. Oh, it was so much closer than I thought it was.

Okay, well that's good. Heat warning. Yeah, I know. Why? I'm out of here. Stupid going out at night. Me doing the thing where I always do that stupidness. Okay. So, by all, you know, the practical reasoning that I have in my mind, what I'm going toward is the giant clam thing. And in all honesty, it's probably not that spooky. I built it up in my head because when I first started playing this game, I still had a very big fear of everything unknown in here. And I still kind of do, but it's all a little better now because now I've kind of grown accustomed to everything. And Oh, you're dead.

The remains of large crustaceian and coral dome. The crab may have used this dome as a portable shelter, and yet it's dead. So, I'm guessing that shelter didn't work. Oh, more. Okay. It's like a graveyard of these things. It's not a good sign. Oh. Oh, it's another one. God, why are they all dead? How did I come across this dead zone of crabs? That's weird. I don't think they put out an update. Yeah, all these are like cracked open. It's not like they're eaten. They're just dead. Okay, never mind. There's a bunch of pieces of legs here. Okay, maybe some of them were eaten.

Yeah, actually, you know, they seem pretty. This is what How did I get Where am I? How did I get to the nightmare graveyard? I have gone through this ocean quite a few times. They haven't put out an update. How did I miss the graveyard? Why are all these dead? And why is it night? Why must it be night? Okay, I think dawn is breaking. I don't know how I missed that. Okay. But I think over to the left here, due west, is the thing that I'm looking for, which is the thing that I've missed in the past. Well, not missed. Kind of hard to miss it, but I've intentionally avoided for reasons that should be very obvious.

Actually, I am missing it. How the hell am I missing it? I'm very close to my base. Where is this thing? Oh. Oh, it's right in front of me. Oh, it's Oh, it's literally right in front of me. Of course it is. Okay. Okay. I'm not scared of you. You're just a big clam. It's nothing to be afraid of. You're just a big clam. And that's not scary. That's perfectly fine. Just cuz I'm go I'm doing everything to avoid going in there right away doesn't mean that you're scary. You're fine. Did a big clam. So what if it

closed with me in it? So what? So what about that? Can it please be day? Could it please just be day? Why is it so long at night? I'm just going to wait here. I'm wait for a day. I'm going to wait for day. Okay, I'm going to scan it. Scanning the great jaw. Let's learn about it before we wait for a day. Okay. All right. Great jaw. Tenatively meamia sudakna. Great clam that bites you. Okay. An enormous omnivorous clam with a d with dangerous defensive feeding strategy. Like earthly by valves, the great jaws body consists of two mineral

shells connected by powerful adductor muscles. The clam's main body, including its digestive organs, heart and gills, rest inside the shells. The mantle, the same body that forms the outer skin of a squid, secretes a matrix of bioplastics on which the hard calcium carbonate shell grows. The enormous size of the adult great jaw shell may take decades or centuries to achieve. The interior of the mantle is lined with motion sensitive eyes. Closure reflex. When the tendons of the adductor muscles are disturbed, the shell closes. The shells close, trapping prey inside. The jaws then secrete do demoic acid neurotoxin.

Projected symptoms, nerve damage, short-term memory loss and death. The Great Jaws interior is lined with tiny coral polyps which feed on sunlight with photosynthetic bacteria. The majority of the Great Jaws food probably comes from photosynthesis. The Great Jaw bioaccumulates lithium during its growth. Nodules are expelled by the clam's body to prevent nerve interference. Recommend retrieval. The scanned index specimen is relatively young. No upper size limit can be established. Critical source of lithium, but dangerous to dive. Good thing I found lithium in other spots besides this. Holy hell.

All right. Well, I asked for day and it's day. So, let's going in with this. I'm not going in by myself. I'm just going to lose my sea moth if it closes. It's not going to close. It would never close. Those eyes, they're definitely not looking at me. Holy Are its eyes looking at me? Oh my god. Horrible. Are those eyes? Are those the motion sensitive eyes that I just heard about in my narration? Well, there's something in there, so we'll go. All right. Portable oxygen generator. That sounds so useful. Only one of two. Oh man. Oh god. Something in there. Let's just start cutting. I'm going in. Jesus Christ. Holy Don't kill my boat. Get back.

Woo. Okay. All right. I can deal with that. That I can deal with. I thought it was going to close much faster than that. I thought that was going to be much quicker. So, apparently this is a young one. This is a small one. Just an itty bitty baby. So, it's eyes are closed is the thing right now. It's like a freaking bank robbery. Look at all this lithium. Wow, that's great. Holy Oh god, look at the eyes. They are looking at me. Well, that was cool though. I still I'm glad that they put lithium in other spots in the game, but honestly, they shouldn't have. And that's saying someone who was very afraid of this thing. They shouldn't

have because it was so much it would be so much more interesting if the only place to get lithium is in this thing cuz at the very least I would have experienced that first. Like it would have been later on been like, "Okay, it's not as scary as it was." But, you know, still. All right, I'm going to go down here. By the way, this is another area where I was kind of avoiding. It had something that was like shunting straight down and I hated that. But now that I have my diving ability, I am curious what's down. Oh, I hate it. Like if there's anything down here worth exploring or seeing what actually is at the bottom of this kind of sheer. It just keeps going. What is that? Hey, I

saw a diagram of that. Literally, when it was when I was doing the presentation, it was like a diagram of that. So, that's the Whoa. Okay. All right. So, we got a thing here. So, there is something down here. Oh, hello little pieces of of Axiom Tech. Oh, weird. That's what Whoa. What? What the hell? Okay. I don't know what this area is. And I don't know why that was set up in that way. And that just keeps going down. And I can't get that deep yet. But there's there's weird plates that are put here as if for walking. Or maybe it's just a pure coincidence that it's draped that way. Okay. Yeah. And freaky music, of course, because why wouldn't there be freaky music right here? I

don't think it turned night, by the way. I think it's just that dark down here. Very strange. It's kind of like all this is fragmented. Like even this has been ripped apart and then there's that's jammed in here. So maybe this was a route and then there's a piece of ship that came crashing down in this area and cracked through it. Maybe seems to what's being suggested here. So, like even though this seems conveniently draped, I'm guessing actually it's more that it's just got smashed. I don't know if I'm supposed to be able to find anything down here. I cannot see. I'm going to do a dumb thing. I'm going stay right here and I'm going to try to go down by hand.

Oh, I do see glowing down there. Holy I see glowing. Weird. Okay, I'm going to grab a battery because I'm going to need that. Maybe I Maybe that's why there's the portable oxygen generator is a thing. What is What even is that portable oxygen generator? Titanium and lithium. Requires a battery to function. Okay. Um well, I know where to get titanium and lithium. All right. It doesn't take much. And I have extra batteries. I'm going to go up cuz I think that's exactly what this is for. is to go down here because it has to be I mean if I didn't have the depth module I wouldn't even be able to get as far as I have been going right now and it just sucks up light because of the thick silt. So I just need a little

bit of lithium and I need a little bit titanium and I should be able to go there pretty quickly. Damn, that's low. Damn, that's deep. Holy I did not realize how deep I was. So, let me go back into the great jaw. I'm going to get that and I'm going to explore down there because this might be the last little secret the game has right now. I also don't know where I'm supposed to build this. Like, when I build it, what do I do? Carry it with me? I guess it must be something that I carry because there's no other way really to deal with what I'm dealing with, right? There's some lithium right there. Bam.

Give me the lithium. Oh, did you not wake up from that? Really? That's hilarious. Okay, I got enough. All right. I don't know how this is going to work, but I'm going to uh going to build this right here. I did it. No power. Seek fresh water intake. Okay. Can I put power into it there? Ah, I see. Okay. So, what am I going to do? Oh, can I not? Oh, I thought I could put it on the back of this. Okay, that's not very much oxygen, actually. Hold on. Okay, I'm going to deconstruct this because I'm not where I need to be just yet. And then I'm going to go down low. And then I'm going to build it down towards the bottom so that I can make a

quick jump down. This better be worth it because I am not happy going down this far. If it's going to be the last episode until the next update, I guess I got to face my fears. I just don't know what's going on with the rock growth. You know, it's got these organic shapes to it that look suspiciously like eyeballs. They said there was no upper limit to the size of those clams. And the interior is lined with motion sensitive eyes. There's no way. There's no way this is all one big clam, right? It must I mean, they also said something about like it's all crab all the way down.

Everything kind of reverts to crab. That's both true in the Earth's ocean and also on here with the world tree kind of being crabesque. Look, I don't like it either, guys. But that's the kind of conclusion here is everything is alive, you know? That's the whole thing. Oh, off. Hate that. Okay, inhale. I'm inhaling. Oh, I'm out of water. God damn it. Good thing I packed extra. All right.

Here we go. I hate it, but here we go. You know what? Actually, I should I'm going to get my oxygen in my tadpole because that also is a portable oxygen generator. And then I'll carry this down, but I'm going to be quick about it. Hate that. Yep. It's awful. It's awful down here. Yep. I knew it. It's awful. Okay, there's some kind of cable going down that platform. It's kind of out in the middle of nothingness, but all right. At least this light might be pieces of ship. I hate that I can't see below me. This Wait. Whoa. It's the thing. It's the beginning. This is the beginning area. Holy This is it. This is the beginning.

This is where I escaped from. Oh my god, I'm back. Holy I'm back. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Why are we shaking? What was that all that? Why are we shaking? We're back. Holy This is the area. I missed the first kit somehow. Oh, hello again. Hi. Hello again. Ah, someone must have come back and put you there. You will make it. That's why you're the queue. Yeah. Okay. Thank you. That's not very helpful. Interesting. So, is there anything deeper than this?

I think it is funny. Why is it shaking? Is it shaking just because the cinematic still had it shaking when we were going through this before? Probably. Oh god. You can go even farther down. I don't like that. Okay. I can't see. Please. Please see. Want to be able to see. I'm going to go down a bit. Oh my god. No, I'm not. No. that. I'm going to find a wall and then I'm going to follow the wall down. I'm going to just go down 600 700 m down. Oh god, it just keeps going. Okay, it just keeps going. Okay, there's a wall.

Okay. All right. It's a little more visible here, but pretty far down. Don't like Oh. Oh, it won't let me go down. Okay. I hit a wall. I literally can't go down any further than that. Hate it. I hate it. I hate all of it. I don't think I have the passive thing where I go faster if I'm next to walls anymore, which is a shame, but oh well. I'm I'm going to lose I think I've lost where my thing was. My little oxygen generator. Pretty sure I just lost that. Don't know where that went. Okay. Yep. I lost it somehow. I've lost it. How the hell did I lose it? You got to be kidding me. Oh, there it is. Oh my god.

Come on, guy. Make more oxygen. What's wrong with you? Make more. I need to slurp more, please. So weird. And also, I can't believe it's still shaking from the cinematic. Okay. All right. I don't know if there's anything else actually. Whoa. I did I miss that? That's right. I did see a dude. I saw like a dude. Print terminated by Barrow Trauma. Oh, Barrerow Trauma. Huh. Yeah, I can see that. Well, this has been so fun to see this again and be in this horrible darkness, this all consuming darkness of nothingness. But uh yeah, I can

definitely see how this was a big thing that crashed through here and caused a bunch of damage to the root system of the world tree. But I don't think there's anything left for us here or anything that's like a goodie we can get. There are some cables that kind of drape down that seem like they might hint towards something, but I don't think it's actually anything that I can use. So, I'm going to head back. And this oxygen generator sucks. Not like my beautiful Deadpool. Drop that. Take the battery out. Deconstruct you. You don't even deserve to exist. All right, let's get out of here. Can't see a thing. Well, that was horrible.

Um, glad we did that. I would think that there would be a reason to go down there again, but from what I can tell given that it went back and I it still looked like it was shaking from the cinematic. Probably in the future there will be a reason to go down there, like there's something special, but I don't think it's there just yet because it does seem like you get the oxygen generator and you could technically swim all the way down there if you really wanted to or really needed to before you would be able to get like the seaothth and the depth module to go down there even further and faster. But for now, it seems like that is sufficient. And it's night, of course, it is. It's always night here,

man. I haven't been out near the surface in a very long time. Like legitimately, I've been down in the deep for so long. I feel almost like I've gone crazy. Feel like I've almost lost it. But no, no, I'm fine. I'm actually quite healthy mentally. Mentally very healthy. Extremely healthy, actually. Wow. I really got to say they knocked it out of the park with this. They really did. Oh, distance from Earth. That's right. I needed to know that. I see that your PDA has referred you to me concerning our distance from Earth. Are you prepared for our difficult conversation?

Remember that 40,000 lives are counting on you. Yes, I'm How difficult could this conversation be? I have complete access to your psychological profile, and I am certain you want the truth. You know that you are not on Zura. Therefore, you have deduced that you are not 14 light years from the nearest phase gate. Your PDA identified the pulsar in the axim or area ory as PSRK1745 2856. It is near the galactic core 20,000 light years from home. We have traveled further than any human beings in history. There is no possibility of rescue or return. The civilization we build here will not reconnect with humanity for at least twice the length

of recorded human history. Adding further analysis to your PDA datab bank. Okay, well that wasn't so difficult. We'll just never see Earth ever again. That's all right. The blue circle of this galactic map contains the total extent of human space flight. Although phase gates have permitted faster than light travel the ships can which construct new phase gates are limited by the speed of light. The maximum size of transg space is therefore determined by the number of years humanity has possessed dark matter ion drives. The red point indicates your current position in the galaxy. You are near the pulsar PSR K1745 2856 just rimward of the globular cruster Jorgovski 2 at the base of the Milky Ways Norma arm. You

have traveled further than any human being in history. The blue circle will not contact the red point for approximately 20,000 years. It may help to think of this as four times the length of recorded human history. This rules out both rescue by a follow-up mission and self-rescue by Neptune rocket. The Cicada mission is now effectively a separate civilization. The only possibility of rescue or return lies in whatever phenomena brought the Cicada to Proteius. That is a good question. What the hell did that? What the hell done did that? How did we get here in the first place is an excellent question. But that is a question that's going to have to wait for whenever this series returns. And now I feel like an for taking too long in between

it because I was like really close to getting to this. I had only two episodes left, but travel is what travel does. I've been doing a lot of travel. Oh my goodness. I've been uh in between a lot of things. But it's been good. Obviously, life has been extremely busy since the movie released. It was extremely busy before and now it's getting busy and complicated and there's a whole bunch of different things in the works. Like cloak is back.

Um that's relaunched which was great. That was a long time coming. There was a lot of work that went into making that happen. Uh and now that it's fully launched, it's becoming more self-sufficient. There's a lot I mean if you've been following on Cloak on all the socials, you'll see uh how it's transformed. You'll get answers to exactly what was going on in between the times. But yeah, it's um I don't know. I've been I've had a chance to meet with people and companies and brands that I I didn't have a chance to before. I've been trying desperately to get a Ghost Pro GoPro sponsorship uh for a while now. Uh and that's that's kind of been fun by itself, just like chasing that down. I went to Formlabs, like I might

have mentioned, and that was a fun trip. I even got to it was so funny. I got this shot uh while I was there with the new Mission One um because, you know, I like filming pretty things. And so they have this thing called the blast, right? They have this fuse blast, right? And it's just meant for cleaning off 3D prints from their SLS. Um and because when you do it, it's it'sining powder. So it pushes powder, puts a layer of powder on there, they use the lasers to burn the part as it's going to be made anyway. So when it comes out, it's in a big powder brick. So you need to kind of excavate it like you're you're doing an archaeological dig and then you put it in the blast to finish

it off, right, for the whole process. And I've been filming things with my GoPro while I was there and I was like, "Hey, can I chuck this in?" They were like, "Oh, won't it damage it?" And I'm like, it's the whole point of this thing. Like they were so worried about me damaging the camera and I was just like just let me chuck it in. Just I let me The whole thing of this is like yeah I wouldn't put my red camera in there and let it tumble around, but the whole point of this is to be able to get a shot from things like this. Uh and it totally fine. The act actually the uh the GoPro was 100% okay. Uh survived. I even put it into their um their sift system. I put it inside the sift and it

was in there as like dust was being blasted everywhere. Uh it was super hot in there and it was just like but that was the whole point is like I could get in there and bury it in there and get it super dirty and mess it up and still get a really pretty shot at the end of it. Um and I got a really pretty shot and it was funny because I came out of it and it was like I've never seen anything. We've never gotten a shot like that before and it's like yeah that's the whole thing. I want to be able to get cool shots for this. So, it's it's funny to be able to have these conversations and just kind of take a YouTube attitude to some of these things and also be able to do something that I wouldn't have been able to done

before. So, yeah, my former engineering background is kind of tickling these days. Making things is really fun and seeing where um yeah, where things are going to go from here is just kind of an exciting adventure. There's a lot of new horizons and new challenges that I didn't think I would have the chance to tackle or even know that would even be a possibility. Um, and yeah, it's just, you know, I wouldn't be able to do anything that I'm doing right now without you guys and the chance that you gave me to be able to put the movie out there and the conversations and doors that's opened. I know it was a long time there where I was saying like the plan the doors you know got to open

the door and um yeah the door is now actually open so I don't think I've properly taken the time to talk to you about that about the fact that it has opened finally this thing I've kind of been dreaming for years it's here And I don't know, it's it's like also what I knew would happen is be a little antilimactic, but yeah, it worked, right? Like the plan actually worked. I it worked so well and now other people are getting cool opportunities and I'm able to help other people who want to direct and I'm I'm able to connect things together and I'm able to imagine, you know, bigger things happening in the future and I'm able to be kind of at the center of a lot of it as much as I want to be and that's just

really cool. It's really cool. I don't think I ever imagined that I'd be in a position like this years ago when I started doing all this. I kind of wanted to maybe in a distant way. I kind of wanted to, but you know, once you're in it, you realize how complex all of it really is. But it's manageable. You know, it's complex but manageable. So long as you take it step by step and you kind of break down all the problems and you solve each one at a time, like it's really manageable. And that's that's really cool.

Same with stuff like this. It's like you know even this game I've been playing a lot of factorial because similar way finally I can look at it from an objective standpoint of being like well if I just solve one system at a time and then I try to optimize what I'm doing. It's like I don't know. It scratches part of my brain I didn't think I could even remotely you know appreciate and yeah it's just it's really cool and thank you seriously thank you for I don't know being here the whole time being with me on the adventure cuz it is an adventure and it's not even close to over yet and someday it'll be over of course like nothing lasts forever wounds and all that. Uh, but I don't know. I

I might have said this before, I might have not, but it's like there's a new mountain to climb and that's all I've really wanted. And I've been climbing it for a while and I get here and I know that I'm not even at the top of it yet. And that's just fun. It's just very, very fun. I'm very grateful. And, you know, there's a lot of cool stuff that I can't wait to get into. So, thank you. And thank you for watching this. And thank you for being here. And uh I will get back to this as soon as there is a content update. I will play it again. But until then, thank you all so much for watching. And as always, I will see you in the next video. Bye-bye.
