Hi foodies and welcome back to the channel. I'm Celine. I'm David. And today we're going to do another cooking challenge. This time the cooking challenge will come with a twist. What twist? Yep, a twist. David and I will be given 20 minutes to prepare a dish of each other's cuisine. At the end of 20 minutes, we'll present our dishes to each other. The one with the better tasting dish wins the challenge. But here comes the twist. Before cooking, we each blind draw a side effect. Side effects and instructions we'll have to follow while we're cooking. Meanwhile, the opponent will guess what the other

person's side effect is. If they guess correctly, they'll get to choose whether to add a side effect to their opponent or remove one of their own side effects. If they guess wrongly, they'll have to pick up another side effect. And if they fail to perform their side effect, an additional side effect will be dealt as punishment. And with that, let the challenge begin. So David, what will I be making for you today? Well, since I'm mixed, you're going to be making a Filipino and Indian dish. Adobo and prata. Okay, okay, I'm up for it. Meanwhile, since I'm clearly Chinese, you'll be making one of my favorites.

This is difficult. That's the point. It's a challenge, you know. I'm here to win. We'll see about that. All right, time to see what our first side effect is. I'll go first. Got it. So secretive. What you get? I don't know. I know what yours is. What? Looking ugly. Baby, go. Okay, adobo. First off, I have some chicken here, so I'm just going to start chopping them up first. Okay, I need to lie myself. Chop 1/3 of cabbage. Hey, where did the water go? It's very nice to see you struggling, huh?

No, I'm not. What do you mean? Hey handsome, can you help me with this? Hey good looking. Don't distract me, huh, please. Hmm. What a hot day, huh? Hot day? We're in an air conditioned room. Slice 1 kg of chicken into cubes. Oh wow, you cut so well. I've never seen you do such a fine job before. You're as sharp as a knife, my man. Oh, me. I am slicing my chicken, so I need to slice 1 kg worth. pork ground pork Ah, hotter. What is his side effect? Is David's side effect just that he says hot every few seconds?

David's side effect What? Now is your turn to add more. What I wanted to do was peel the potatoes. Quickly, peel the potatoes before the producer comes. I know what to guess. Anyways, back to the um What? Ha, we're in the same boat, miss. Let me guess, HICCUP TOGETHER. CORRECT. YES, I'M FREE AGAIN. BUT I CAN ONLY DO THE ONE SIDE EFFECT. That's my side effect. Oh, yeah. So, until I guess one of your side effects, you're still chained to me.

Hello darkness, my old friend. Oh, but anyways, right? Since I guessed it correct, I'll add one to her. So, I added the pork and the cabbage. So, I need to add the dry ingredients. Oh, yeah, it's a hot day. Oh, it's a hot What could it be? Oh, it's a hot day. I don't know what his side effect is, but it's quite funny. What is your side effect? Can you give me a hint? Oh, it's a hot day. Oh, my ears. No. I think you have the same side effect as him.

Wait. Who is David? Wait, I've been doing it, you know? Wow, from my mind. Suddenly, you're very slow, eh? I'm trying my best, you know. Oh, really? Is that an accent? Yeah, following your accent. Are you really following mine, or could it be a new side effect you just got? I don't know. I know, he has to speak in an accent. Okay, fine. Let's remove the handcuffs. Oh, thank you, Jesus. Oh, all our praises are Oh, it feels so good to be out of handcuffs. Okay, I'm just finishing up my cutting of the potatoes.

Why you got to do this to me? I know. She likes to make funny faces. Yes! I remove my accent. Now I can speak in David language. Now I'm going to dissolve a double mix into the water, and then we will let it simmer and marinate. All righty, so I'm done. Now I need to put some filling to the center of dumpling skin. So, David. Oh, what are you up to today, huh? I should have used the timer on the phone. No, no, no, I just ask you. I just ask I'm so tired, huh. Where's the measuring cup?

Stop asking me, huh. I need some scissors. I heard that. This sound effect IS TO BARK. [screaming] ALL RIGHT, TIME FOR MY DUMPLING SKIN. WOOF. OH, look at that. Wow, David, that's a really nice dumpling. Thank you. Hello. Okay, time to marinate. So, I'm just going to add everything in. pinch the edges together and to seal. What's cooking, good looking? Woof. Is this sound effect to make animal noises after every sentence? All right, my marinate is marinating. As it's marinating, I'm going to get ready my prata.

I know. She do 67. Unfortunately, we don't have time to make prata from scratch, so we're just going to use this. What is it? David, David, David. You don't pay what? What is that? That's a dumpling. You look so fine, but that dumpling ain't fine. you mean? Woof. Okay, so my marinate is done, so we're going to start cooking it. Huh? oof. Are we doing well? Uh with me. Are you singing? Is that your side effect?

Maybe. His side effect is singing sentences. Hey, what's she doing, man? At the very least, the chicken is cooked. It might not taste the best, but it's good, you know? It's good. Celine. I'm supposed to use this to boil. Why do you use all the pots and pans? Now Well, I need to use it first. Here's how the cooking's been going so far. And with that, I think my adobo is done. Go on, David. Why is it so boiling? Oh, no. Okay, we excited to boil, and then we'll put in the dumplings, and it shouldn't take too long. Okay, so make sure that it is starting to boil. Okay, hear it, the rumble.

All I hear is your roaring voice. Yes, just drop it in. Okay. Pop it in. I think for now, just pull out these. [screaming] OKAY, IT'S FLOATING. OKAY, OKAY, I NEED TO PLAY THIS OUT. FLOATING. SORRY, there's no way. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I got MY PRATA HERE. CELINE, NO. OKAY, I'M DONE. WE WILL CLEAN THE table and will get back to you shortly. Later. Forget it. Yes, Celine didn't clean. I'm the one that cleaned everything.

No, I did some cleaning, too. So yeah, we are done. Look at mine. All I did was just follow the instructions. I present to you my dumpling. How about yours? We have a classic adobo chicken with some diced potatoes. So, it's like a Filipino prata dish. Swap time. Okay, we shall go for the safer one first. This one. The dumplings, eh? All right, let's give it a dip. And What? Is it very bland? Is it salty? Is it perfecto? I think David, the only way is for you to try yourself.

Got a little bite in there. Good. Not bad. Yeah. It's like good and at the same time exceptionally chewy. No. Time for your dish. Okay, let me try the sauce first, huh? Mhm. First is ALWAYS THE SAUCE. WOW! THAT PACKS A PUNCH, MAN. HONESTLY, where is that? Cannot come out of my mouth. The flavor is so strong I can taste the salt FROM THE OCEAN, MAN. Imagine adobo concentrate. Let me try. You what? It's nice. Like it's legit good.

Oh, hold on. Oh, yeah. FEEL THE PRATA. NICE. WOW! AND WITH THAT, THE CHALLENGE COMES TO AN END. And honestly, I think we did quite well considering our circumstances. huh? I think we cannot decide who is the winner here because both of our dishes are actually quite good. So, moochies, that means we need your help.
