Give me $13 and25 minutes and I'll give you dinner for four that absolutely does not taste like it cost 13 bucks. Rich, delicious Japanese curried beef with potatoes and carrots and ginger and garlic. Oh, some cabbage in there. Oh my, will this be fantastic. And you know, one of the things I say all the time is use uh other people's condiments. And in this case, we're doing that. We're using a pack of the Japanese curry blocks. Doesn't have to be this type. I mean, there's different ones out there. I'm just saying you keep one of these on your pantry and you go from regular everyday dinner time to exotic. Well, okay. Maybe exotic is too much. Exotic would be eating leopard or something, right? That would be exotic.

And by the way, I'd never eat a leopard. Leopard smashburgers. I'd never leopard smashburgers. I'd never hunt the leopard. What's the point? The point is this little package will make a ton of difference in your life. Oh, sure you have ground beef all the time, but will it taste like this? No. Do you have to worry about adding thickening BS and stuff? No, it doesn't. For it's all built in. Here's how it goes down. We brown some beef and then you're basically done. How great is that? Here's how we start. Zip of oil in the pan and a pound of ground beef. Let's just get this in. And don't touch it. You can season it though. And just leave it. Okay. If you need to do something, you can do this.

Just push it down. By the way, the goal for this video was 10 bucks and 25 minutes. I got close. 13. And you want to know why it's 13 and not 10? Because the [__] ground beef is so expensive right now. I'm using the national average of $6.92 a pound. I'm sure there's some of you out there that will remember when ground beef was 30 cents a pound. I don't know. I'm making that up, but I'm sure it was 30 cents a pound at one point. So, still 13 bucks for people. That's um $425 a person. And it's hearty and it's delicious and it will make you happy AF. All right. Now you can mess around with this. Move it. There. That's what you want.

Now break it up. Just keep cooking until it's at the point where most of the pink is gone. I'm okay with that. And now we put in the following. Diced onion, diced carrot, diced potato. Hey, there you go. Somebody wasn't using their knife very well today. Okay, mix. Give this five minutes. All right, here we go. Next in, make a little spot. And in goes some garlic, minced, and some ginger chopped. Give that 30 seconds. I know this looks a little bland right now, doesn't it? It's okay. After 30 seconds, stir it through. And now it's time for broth. Well, you got to cook the vegetables for God's sakes. And I'm going with combination of chicken and beef broth. Yes, could be just beef broth if you wanted, but I

find that beef broth just gets a little intense. And the chicken lightens it up just a little bit and that makes me happy. But you do you. So now get it to a little simmer. And when it's there, cover it up. Say goodbye for 8 minutes. But don't let it boil crazy. Keep it at that little gentle simmer. And we look like this. Nice. Okay, time to add something. The potatoes and the carrots are almost there. We're going to give it another five minutes, but we're also going to add a couple handfuls of shredded cabbage. I'm making a mess here. One quick stir. Get everybody covered. Not just delicious, but now good for you. All these vegetables. All right, four or five minutes. I'm back.

block time. That's looking good. Let's turn this down to low. One stir. I promise you, it's going to get much better looking. And here's what you have inside. These guys. And they look like that. So, we're going to just break up all the blocks, put them in, and stir. They're going to melt now. The color is going to change. The consistency is going to change. Everything, you can already see it happening before your eyes. We're going to help it along with two things right now. Little shot of soy. And for a little zip of tanginess, a little worsher. All right. Four minutes and we're there. Keep your stirring. You want to make sure that the curry blocks completely melt in and add

all the deliciousness that they have promised. And it's a lot, I'm telling you. All right, we're there. Let's plate. We start with some fresh rice, of course, and this. Okay, I know I said four people. Honestly, S might even be six. Last but not least, a green onion. Voila. Or whatever they would say. Hey, Japan. Well, let's go, baby. Let's go. Oh my. Oh my goodness. Warm. I used a block that said medium hot. It's not medium hot. It's basically mild. So if you don't have a tolerance, you might as well go for it. The curry powder, there's sort of cumin notes.

There's cardaman. I don't know. This is just one of the most satisfying little dishes ever. And I honestly I think maybe six people. 13 bucks for four to six people. That's whack. Okay, thanks for hanging out. Look, we know shit's expensive, but we're here to help you not feel the pain so much. and in under 30 minutes. Please, please
