it is about that time when the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit is already over and along with it we know a lot of things just snowball then it becomes this competition of which phone will be first with the new chip and for the longest time OnePlus is one of the major players the OnePlus 12 proved to be hands down one of the best smartphones of 2024 and all without breaking the bank then we had the OnePlus 12r which proved the year old specs should be priced for a broader demographic it's really left a ton of us curious as to what to expect for later 2024 early 2025 and it's about that time I'm how with pocket now and it's time for another Deep dive this time OnePlus 13 if you're asking yourself what'll
happen with the OnePlus 13r and even the OnePlus open 2 let's just say that's uh all story for another video as uh right now we have a lot of ground to cover just with the flagship when it comes to design the OnePlus 13 seems pretty familiar at least on these images I mean it looks a lot like the OnePlus 12 but uh with some small tweaks one of the main changes is the placement of the flashh and the repositioning of the Hasselblad H logo which now stands out more on the back of the phone the back also has the sort of grainy texture giving it more of a unique look compared to other smartphones and unlike recent OnePlus models that feature curved edges this one goes back to Flat metal edges
all this being said though we did he of some probable major changes from other sources so just keep this Leak with a grain of salt I mean hey this could just be an image leaked of the OnePlus 13r for all we know now one of the more interesting rumors about the OnePlus 13's design is its possibility of debuting with a micro quad curve panel this means that the phone screen should have a gentle curve on all four sides creating a more immersive edge-free experience however this uh wouldn't be an extreme waterfall display as we saw from Huawei doing the same thing where the screen curves sharply over the edges instead it would uh have more subtle curves which might strike a balance
between Aesthetics and practicality digital chat station recently added more details about the screen suggesting that the OnePlus 13 might feature a straight screen with a micro curved glass cover design U this would imply that uh while the display itself remains flat the glass covering the screen would have slight curves on all four edges this design Choice could give the phone a more symmetrical and seamless look with almost no visible bezels making the display stand out a bit more let's just say if this is true the OnePlus 13 might offer one of the most attractive designs of its class though yeah let's wait on the implementation OnePlus China president Lee G Lewis and sorry if I

Snapdragon chipset it is now confirmed that it will sport the Snapdragon 8 Elite that just got announced a few days ago and just as a reminder this new chip brings a second generation oryan CPU that hints to this being the most powerful chip out there even outperforming Apple's a18 Pro the latest chip is manufactured on tsmc's 3 nanom n3e process which offers a significant performance upgrade make sure you watch our separate Deep dive on qual comp's new chip to learn more about it spefic specifications Now battery life and charging speeds have always been a major OnePlus offering as well and it seems that the OnePlus 13 will be no exception according to previous leaks from yogish prar the phone will have a 5400 mAh
battery with 100 wat charging similar to the OnePlus 12 but that being said digital chat station has hinted to the possibility of this OnePlus 13 skipping wireless charging in favor of packing a larger 6,000 mAh battery which would offer even longer battery life though hold it right there don't just worry updates to that rumor claim that we might actually get those 6,000 milliamp hours in addition to 50 wat wireless charging which is insane heck we even hear 6500 Mah hours at this point so stay tuned now as for the camera system early rumors suggested the OnePlus 13 should feature the same camera sensors of the OnePlus 12 which was a 50 megap main 64 megapixel 3x periscopic camera
and 48 megapix ultrawide but newer leaks H to all three cameras of this new OnePlus 13 being upgraded to a 50 megapixel larger sensor set just like we get on the Oppo fex series I guess and we even hear of the Sony IMX 882 attached to the project so we'll see how that goes now in addition to the hardware improvements OnePlus is also likely to introduce its own AI powered features both Oppo and OnePlus have announced that Google's AI powered Gemini model will be integrated into their phone in later 2024 even if uh yeah Gemini still need some work last but not least let's talk about pricing and availability OnePlus has been inconsistent with its pricing strategy in recent years the OnePlus 12 was
priced similar to the base model of the Galaxy s24 so it's possible that the OnePlus 13 will be priced around the same range it's really hard to predict with these new rumors of this phone being far more than an iteration particularly when it comes to materials Now launch is expected earlier than expected By the Way digital chat station on WBO suggested that it will happen before China's Single Day Festival on November 11th 2024 singles day is the largest shopping event in China making it pretty logical and then a global launch probably around December 2024 early 2025 but uh we'll see how things play out as uh yeah things could change over time to conclude let's just say
