I'm going be honest with all of you. I got chills right now just thinking about this game. The last Ronin just got announced and let me tell you, I'm a massive fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the fact that they're basing this game around the Last Ronin comics. Got to tell you, I am uh I got goosebumps right now. Anyways, about to watch the trailer with all of you and then react to it. I want to thank Paramount Games. They are sponsoring this video. I put their official website in the very top of the description. It's the last.com. Very simple, right? You can sign up right now to kind of get updates about the game leading up to the actual launch. But anyways, let's go ahead and check out this trailer. Here we go.
All right. So, I'm kind of deep dive into, I guess, my initial thoughts, impressions, what I hope to actually see in the game, all that stuff. But I guess if you haven't read the comics, spoiler warning. I'm going to get into all that stuff, so be ready. I think what gave me chills was that ending, that Heroes in a Half Shell Slow Down, that original theme song. That's a legendary song, by the way. It's just so good. So, the game was just announced at the Summer Games Fest, and I want to just kind of like think about what type of game it may be based off of what Platinum Games has already created, right? The three games they showed in the actual trailer were Ninja Gaiden 4, Near Automa, and also
Bayonetta. Right. If I had to pick one of those, I want the game to kind of be more liked than the other. I would go Near. That action RPG route I think would be really cool for this game. Except like Ninja Gaiden 4. I mean, if we're being honest, that's a very punishing game to say the least, right? Got the flashy combat, hacken slash, fast-pac. Bandetta is kind of the same though, right? You got the combos, juggling enemies, flashy and stylish. I think Near is like the route I would go. I mean, just a semi-openw world action RPG. I would love that. What I find unique about this game is the fact that usually most Ninja Turtle games are a
four turtle setup where you can alternate between each one. This is one Ninja Turtle. It's just the last Ronin. Lot darker, more mature. Probably the darkest TMNT game we're ever going to get, right? Which I think is a good thing because the story itself is that. I feel like one thing they could do is have different fighting stances or styles based off of like the weapons you're using. You could also have a play where it maybe shows flashbacks of the other turtles. So, you're kind of using those weapons through storytelling in a way. That could be kind of nice. Or you could have like you get different weapons and learn more through like an action RPG style learning curve, right?
Those are just my thoughts. I mean, I'm no like game developer, but I feel like that'd be kind of a cool way to go about it. I'm sure they have a much better idea than what I'm coming up with. I feel like one thing they could also do to kind of help you like learn different weapons, you know, since Mikey's the only one left. He's the last Ronin essentially, but you got the Leonardo and Casey Jones fighting alongside of each other like through flashbacks since Leo, Raphael, and Donatella are all dead. I mean, you could kind of have like their own missions based off of how they actually ended essentially like a combo of weapon learning and storytelling. I think one character that's going to be a big part of the
game, and this is my guess, I feel like April. I mean, she did help Mikey out a lot during the actual comics, so I feel like they got to have her in the game somewhere, right? And she could also talk about like the other turtles and have a lot of callbacks to that. It just be a really nice way to kind of have the story progress and show like how Mikey went from funny, optimistic, you know, the glue of the family type thing to depressed, angry, isolated, haunted by all of his memories, too. The setting for the game, obviously, we're going to go with like a futuristic New York cyberpunk influence style look, I guess. And there's like that one scene where it show like the newspaper said Foot takes
over city. Meaning the Foot Clan controls much of the city. So it's a lot more of a darker tone revenge story lone warrior narrative style game. Less comedy, more serious if you would. Could also have flashbacks of like Master Splinter. Maybe Shredder as well as like a partial antagonist even though he's not really the antagonist for The Last Ronin in general. Although a certain someone related to him definitely is. They sent me the hardcover graphic novel which I read that I want to say back in like 2024 maybe. So I believe it's been out for a few years. But the comics I think started in what 2020 went all the way to like 2022. If they break it up
how the comics are broken up. I'm wondering if that could be like a storytelling play, right? Unless they're basing this like loosely off the last one. And I'm guessing it's going to be very similar to the actual comics and all that. We'll see. They could also have like some side content for the lost years. You just never know. Anyways, that's all I got for now. Thank you all for watching. Again, check that link in the description, the last ronin.com. I'm excited for this game. I cannot wait to see what it looks like. My goodness. All right. Love you all, fam. Likes, views, all that means a lot. I'll catch you next time. Much love and take it easy.
Peace.
