Since the paint I applied yesterday has dried, today I will assemble this It doesn't fit What happend? It's either that the bracket is bent or that the wood is a bit too thick. This side will be the bottom surface I want to place this carbonized cork board just like this I will attach this wood piece that supports the cork board using these metal fittings
I will attach this wood piece on the side to prevent the cork board, which will be installed inside, from bulging I have assembled it this far without considering how to attach this wood piece After careful consideration, I have decided to attach the wood piece by drilling holes into it and inserting dowels It's almost complete. This side will be the back. This is the sides This is the front It's chaos here I'm gonna clean up first then continue assembling
This was originally designed with a bottom panel of this style placed on the bottom, according to the original blueprint. I started assembling it after some time had passed since the design phase, but I changed the design without thinking deeply about why the original design had that particular style for the bottom panel. As a result. I have ended up with this assembled product I added this wood pieces The original intention was to place the bottom panel diagonally at this corner to support the cork board installed on the side.
Choosing an easier option without considering such factors has resulted in the cork board being unsupported in its current position That's why I added this wood pieces Please be careful when doing DIY projects to avoid mistakes like this This compost bin is designed to be built without cutting the cork board to fit specific sizes However, some cutting may be necessary, so I'm gonna cut and fit the cork board accordingly Perfect the project is about 80% finished I am planning to make a top cover later, but for now, I will try using it in its current state.
I am going to fill this with soil now. There are no specific requirements for the type of soil, so I will go buy some now Alright, let's call it a day for now then As I said before, I am planning to make a top cover later since this wooden deck has a roof and is protected from the rain, it should be okay to use it without the top board for now
In a few months, I plan to make a lid for this compost bin that is easy to open and close, possibly with the use of dampers. That's it for today. Bye!
