Friends, welcome to this edition of Outdoor Gear Review. I hope you are well. I'm happy to let everyone know that the cold camping season is almost here. And this year I plan to spend a lot of time camping with a folding bed in the cold season. I recently talked about a new product from OneTigris. This is a double-sided mat that is placed on a cot. On the one hand, it cools when it's warm outside. And on the other hand, it warms you up when it's cool or cold. This is a very interesting product. I have already started testing it, mostly in warm conditions. The cooling side works without a doubt. Thanks to the fabric, it gives the skin a pleasant feeling of coolness.

The cooling side, without a doubt, works perfectly. But I have questions about the warming side, because to me it looks like a fleece blanket. And yes, it will help a little when you're on a folding bed, but not too much. This is where product comes to the rescue. This is a Nightfall cot mat. And I believe it was designed to be used with a double-sided mattress. I looked at the OneTigris website. I studied both products. There is no mention that these two products can be used together. So I wonder if this is actually possible. In this issue, we not only take a look at this Nightfall mat, but we also pair it with a reversible mattress. In case you don't know, there are generally two things people don't

like about camping with folding beds. Firstly, they can be uncomfortable, and secondly, they can be cold. That's why you need such a product. It adds comfort to the cot and at the same time keeps you warm when you lie on it. Here it is, the Nightfall mat. There is a handle on this side so we can pull out the mat. There is a delay on this side. We have instructions, a repair kit, the mat itself, and two elastic compression straps. Here is the valve that allows you to inflate and deflate this mat system. When we talk about this mat system, we mean that when you lie on it, you are supported not only by air, but also by foam. There are several levels here, so you can see this stopper.

It prevents air from escaping. Now look at this side. This allows air to pass through it. So to inflate this, you put this here, and now you can blow air in. And then you have this, which opens the mat. If the mattress is full of air, this will allow it to escape. When it is compressed and you open it, the mat starts to inflate. As you all can see, it didn't take much effort to completely inflate it. It inflated itself about 50-60%. When it is fully inflated, what you see in front of you is the top side. And this is the bottom one. Turning to the top side, you can see elastic straps at the corners. They allow you to secure the mat to the cot so that it doesn't move around when you lie on it. That's how, friends, the Nightfall cape attaches to the clamshell. And as

you can see, it holds it in place perfectly. Before I lie down on it and we check the comfort, let's quickly go through the specifications. When fully inflated and spread out on the cot, it is 73 inches long, 25.6 inches wide, and 1.2 inches thick. When folded, it is 14.6 inches long and 6.3 inches wide. It has an R- value of 4.1 and is rated for 10°F. At 10°F, it blocks 90% of the cold passing through it. Regarding materials, the top uses 30-denier stretch polyester. Inside there is a layer of TPU film. Underneath it is a layer of solid foam. Next is another layer of TPU foam, and the bottom material is 190T polyester. The weight of this mat is 2.6 pounds, and the retail price of the mattress is about $60.

Now that we've figured that out, let's answer a very important question. Is 1.2 inches of cushioning enough to make a clamshell more comfortable? Without a doubt, the answer is yes. This is much more convenient. It's just wide enough so that your hands don't rest on the bars. If you press hard, of course, you can feel them, but when you lie down, you can't. It's much more comfortable than just on a folding bed. Not only because of depreciation, but also because of the materials themselves. They are very pleasant to the skin. Oh yes. This is a really noticeable difference. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it would work, because 3 centimeters of filler is not much. But yes, it really improves comfort on the cot. Now, friends, let's try that

dual-purpose mattress for a folding bed. Let's see how it works with this mat. We now have a second mattress installed on this system and it fits perfectly. Straps at the corners, straps that cover the structure. There is one last test left. We need to lie down on it. Let's see what it feels like. A. It's very, very convenient. Not only do you have the cushioning from the first mat, but you also have this second layer fleece material. And undoubtedly, it is convenient. And undoubtedly, it warms you up a bit. I feel the higher R-value of that mat in addition to this cover on top. And that really matters. How noticeable it is in the cold, I have no idea. Unfortunately, this is impossible to determine except by testing in cold weather. We

know that Nightfall's R-rating is 4.1. We don't know exactly what the second layer adds. Without a doubt, there are benefits, but what exactly? We'll have to test it and see for ourselves. The most interesting thing about this set is that OneTigris doesn't mention using all three components together, although it would be worth it because it's a great system. The mat itself holds up well on the cot. Then you can put on a second layer, and it won't move either. You saw me jumping on it, spinning, wiggling, and everything stays in place. I wonder why OneTigris doesn't promote this as a comprehensive system. Of course, I don't work for OneTigris. I purchased each of these components with my

own money, but to me this system is obvious. This is a system I'm looking forward to testing when it starts to get colder in the mountains. Before we wrap up this episode, let's summarize my impressions of the Nightfall mat. It is the perfect size for your regular standard clamshell. And yes, it will fit almost any clamshell from any brand, as long as the dimensions match. I know what you're thinking: what are the exact dimensions? The fact is that 99.9% of travel cots on the market have almost the same dimensions with a difference of an inch or two.

Luckily, you have these elastic straps. This means you can attach it to almost anything. Of course, I mean standard-sized single folding beds. I don't mean the elongated or extra wide options. As for comfort, so far so good. I still need to test it, but I can already say that it is significantly better than the clamshell itself. The quality of this product looks very, very good. As for pumping, it's very simple. Deflation should be just as easy. The valve system here is very successful. It is simple and has a well-thought-out design. The price of the Nightfall mat is well worth it, especially considering what you get. Regarding using the entire kit, it's worth noting that the price is excellent, isn't it?

The clamshell itself is quite inexpensive. This rug, Nightfall, is also inexpensive. The universal mat that we put on top also costs a little. With this set, you can sleep comfortably on a cot in both warm and cool, if not cold, conditions. Of course, I have a lot of tests ahead of me, and I will definitely take them. My full review of this entire kit will be out soon. So subscribe to the channel so you don't miss my test results and reviews. It's worth noting that I purchased the cot, the mat, and everything else with my own money. This channel has no hidden goals. I'm not here to sell products, I'm here to share information, and that's it. If you appreciate this approach, please

give it a like, as this is a rarity on YouTube, where most channels push products from sponsors and companies. I don't do that. I've never done that. I will never do that, and I would rather close the channel than go for it. I am not a salesman and I don't want to be one. Through my channel, I want to provide information so that you can make your own decisions. So again, if you like this approach, please give it a like. This helps the channel a lot. Ultimately, I really like this set. It looks very, very promising. I can't wait for it to get colder so I can start testing all of this thoroughly. Until next time, friends, take care of yourself. God bless you. Strength and honor. See you later.
