This is the new Allegris first class suite and it's going to be our home for the next 8 hours as we travel from Munich to New York. Allegra First was debuted earlier this year and it's one of the newest first class seats in the sky. This brand new cabin seats three to four passengers. Let me explain. There are two suites by the windows and a giant suite in the middle that Lutansza calls the Sweet Plus, which can be private or shared by two people. In this video, we're going to be trying out Suite Plus, which includes a full floor toseeiling closing door, a couch that converts into a double bed.
I can stretch my legs and arms out as far as possible, and they still don't touch the sides. Maybe the biggest TV that exists on an airplane, and an extra bench that allows for a restaurant style dining experience. So, we have romantic. I love it. So, join us as we test out one of the best first class experiences in the sky and attempt to make the most of this once in a-lifetime flight. We stayed in an airport hotel last night, so we are starting this adventure with a walk over to terminal 2, which is where the first class check-in is.
Well, we have a confession. We just went and checked in the business and first class section when we could have come to this private room. That's just for first class. Doesn't matter. We have to wait in a line. It just feels like I'm missing out on something. If you want the full experience, this is it. Wow. This feels special. It does not get much easier than that. We made it through in about 2 minutes thanks to the uh private first class security. And now we are taking what might be an extra trek over to the satellite terminal. There are multiple first class lounges here in Munich, but
in all my research, I've heard that the one in the satellite terminal is the best. So that's where we're heading now. And we'll have about an hour before we board. Maximizing time in the lounge. Vlog number six. This is about to be the best week ever. Level six. It's a little bit of a buzz kill. Here we go. This is better. Oh, that's a good one. Thank you. Oh, it's beautiful.
German pretzels hanging from an antler. The colors of the rainbow and vegetables. We have vegetarian kiche, kiche, lurine, vegetable curry, cilantro bowl. All things that would just be so perfect with a glass of wine. We've been seated at the restaurant. Wow, it just got so quiet in here. Don't want to disturb everyone. Keep talking. They've taken our drink orders and instead of trying to indulge in all of this, we're going to save ourselves for what's on the menu. We have a special menu with seasonal highlights as well as this massive menu that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we can order whichever one we want. A whole vegetarian and vegan section of the menu. French fries. Might have to get
those. So, most lounges have a buffet, and this one is definitely better than almost any buffet you'll find in any other lounge in the world. But what usually sets a first class lounge apart from a typical lounge is that they have a formal dining area, which is definitely how we're spending our 45 minutes that we have left until our flight. Lounge experience is 12 out of 10 so far. Our lovely waiter came over to our table and said, "I've cleared off a table for you. Right by the window, there's a much better view." So, here we are. Best seat in the house. We're overlooking all the planes. It's a gorgeous day.
It's like AP cabin with Michelin star food. We have a whole plane ride ahead of us with more good food. So, we tried to limit ourselves to two dishes each. I'm starting with this gorgeous miso soup that comes with rice, lime, and cilantro. And how beautiful is this peach carpacio? Insane. I feel like Carrie gives very generous reviews to food. So, when something is actually the best I've ever had, I need to confirm. We spent a lot of time in Thailand. We've had a lot of good soups. That might be the best soup I've ever had. I don't lie. Incredible start to our culinary journey that we're going to be on for the next several hours. If you find yourself flying first class out of Munich, do yourself a favor and
get to the airport five or 6 hours early instead of the two like we did because we did not have enough time to do that lounge justice. They also have the nap rooms like the one in Frankfurt. They have the shower rooms. Another uh massively overlooked perk to the first class lounge is that they actually have private immigration. So, we came into the lounge. We dropped our passports off. They got processed while we were in the lounge and then we just grabbed them on the way out and we've already gone through immigration. I didn't even realize it was happening. Also, this might be the best Luanza lounge duck that we've ever gotten. We don't keep many souvenirs from our travels, but um as most of you may know,
we did get a house earlier this year and um all the tons of ducks are sitting in our bathroom. So, I'm very excited to add this one to our collection. The backstory had something to do with there being a bathtub in the lounge and they started putting rubber ducks by the bathtub and people started stealing the rubber ducks. So then they just started giving people the rubber ducks and now it's kind of like their signature. We're just walking through the airport with our ducks. You should just be able to show them your rubber duck and they'll let you know. It's happening.
Can the people get a little dance or what? Uh, it's been 10 years since we started this channel, but we had this idea that every day we traveled, we were going to play the same song. So, it was like, "Wow, Karen, are back on the road. They're traveling." And then we That was a horrible idea and a very annoying song. We are currently taking the uh chain. This is insane. What the heck? The cabin crew is laughing at Cara's reaction to the seat. Welcome to seats 1, D, and E. Two seats, one room, one couch, middle of the plane.
There we go. We get bored sitting on that side. Come sit on this side. You know, if we get in a little argument, just get as far away as I can from him. Good afternoon. Welcome. Thank you. Are you the captain? I'm the captain. Wow. So cool to meet you. Very nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. Hello. Hi. That is definitely a first. The captain has never come out and introduced himself to us before. Then Anita came over and said, "I'm going to bring you a fresh challenge. Do you want it to be hot or cold? I don't think I've ever had that option before.
Cheers, Lonza." Wow. Wo. Not a champagne connoisseur, but it is yummy. Oh, these are good. memory foam slippers and jammies. Um, I do remember I was a little disappointed with my jammies when I flew the first class product. Thank you. Now is probably a good time to mention that we have flown the old Lufansza first. So throughout this video, I'm sure we'll be doing some comparison between the old first class and the new Electrus, which if you can't already tell just from these two sideby-side comparisons, this is way better. I will say I have never once been disappointed with Luanza first class. The service has always been amazing. The food and wine has always been amazing. But there were
eight seats in the old configuration. And especially for first class, there was a big lack of privacy. Like there was this small privacy screen that came up that kept you from being able to like see the passengers directly to your left, but like the whole cabin was just wide open. So, we've gone from one of the most open first class concepts to definitely like top three most private cabins that are flying through the sky right now. Also, they just said boarding complete, which means that there is no one in the seat beside us. So, this flight is going to feel even more private. We were some of the first to board because that's a perk of being in first class. So, every single person had to walk by our cabin.
Are you about to reenact this? Yeah. So, this is what's happened like a hundred times. I'm just trying not to look. I'm like, but it's very special that we get to be in here and just know that we don't take a single second of this experience for granted. Like, I'm not sleeping. Mark my words. Cut to Cara sleeping now. No, I'm not doing it. It's never too early for slippers. It's like a real seat belt, like in a car. Oh, it's nice that the bottom part you can adjust so it's not tight. This is a bit suffocating though. Well, it's just so new, you know. So, first class on the A350 only consists of four seats. You have the one to the left of us, which is empty. This
one can hold one or two people, and then one more seat to our right. So, I haven't seen if anybody's over there. Not. We could go this whole flight and never know because this is a full wall, but we'll peek and see if we're the only ones. treasure. Real quick, we want to say a big thank you to Incogn, not only for being the sponsor of today's video, but also for helping us delete a ton of our personal information off of the internet. Have you ever tried googling yourself? I was going to say don't, but maybe do. It is scary how much information is out there. So, I did this and almost exactly 2 years ago, I ended up signing up for Incogn, which is basically like a cleanup crew for your data online. They
go out, they find all these data brokers that have your information, and then they send them a fancy legal email that requires them to take your information off their site and stop sharing it with other people. So, this is my incogn dashboard. And over the last 2 years, they have removed almost 2,000 personal records of me and my personal information from the internet. Having all of your personal information floating around out there makes it so much easier for bad people to do bad things to you. Like these are extreme examples, but our address was floating around out there on the internet. So like somebody could have come and found us. If you have too much personal information out there, somebody might be
able to take out a loan in your name. I've heard a lot of horror stories, but I think something that all of us deal with every day are spam emails and those super annoying robot spam calls. And more of those are going to happen if you're information is freely available out there on the internet. So basically, the more of it you can have removed, the better. Incogn has also recently released their unlimited plan, which means if you find any of your data out there on a website that's outside of this data broker network that Incogn tracks, you can just grab that link, send it to them, and then they will manually have it removed for you. So, if you want less of your personal information floating around out there on
the internet, you should definitely sign up for Incogn. You can use the link in the description below, which is incogn.com/caraandnate. And if you use our link, you're going to get 60% off an annual plan. Or you can just use code Karen Nate at checkout. I actually have a little 3minut video that's a full tour of the suite. We are officially in the air. We're playing with all the controls in the seat to figure out how this thing works. And uh check this out. You're coming closer to us. That's with the button that I'm pushing to bring the footrest up to a more comfortable place. Wow, that comes out forever. It's still going.
Is that a good distance for you? Bring it back just like a hair. Bring it in. Nice. So, because this is a couch and it can be made for one or two people, it doesn't have like the exact same stuff on each side. So, this is the extent of my tray table over here. Within five minutes of taking off, we've already been served our am boo. We have a grilled eel with apple, radish, and soy. Also seems to have this like noodly looking blanket on top of it. I definitely thought it came with a little plastic sanitary cover over it, but apparently it's edible. I don't love you, but I loved everything else that was on it. You may be wondering where my necklace came from.
This is which is how the Bavarian people say October. It's like a decorated gingerbread. Kind of feels too pretty to eat. The flashing the party lights. Okay. Like, oh, everything is Oh, no. Yeah. I mean, there's clearly just a glitch. We're having some uh technical difficulties with the light in our suite and they've tried turning it off and back on, and every time they turn it back on, it turns a bunch of colors. It feels like a disco in here. It's still not working. And for example, you've been dying together.
Yes. Romantic. I love it. More October Fest napkins. Before the caviar comes and before we get too far into this flight, I wanted to explain that this for us is a very special flight for a few different reasons. Like obviously we're in Luata first. That would be special any day. But less than 72 hours ago, I just finished the hardest physical challenge of my entire life, which was running 108 miles through three different countries, which included not sleeping for over 50 hours. So, this is a bit of a celebration for finishing that. Even the recovery part is uncomfortable. I love that you're wearing your finisher vest while you're recovering with your name and your time on it. And the best part about all that is the
science shows that after a hard effort like that, your body is still burning 5,000 calories a day, even if you're not doing anything. So, I feel like a lot of times during these flights, I'm just like getting so full. I'm trying to make the most of it, but I can't eat all the food. And today, I can definitely eat all the food. Also, as if that wasn't special enough, this flight is taking us to JFK, but from there, we're connecting to Toronto to go to some of our best friends wedding. Cara is going to be officiating her first wedding ever. I'm not nervous at all. Ooh, wet. Yes, this one definitely.
Thank you. Do you want to tell them what you have planned for the wedding? I know it's been a surprise and it feels wrong to say out loud, but in the middle of Amnc's wedding ceremony, I've decided that I'm doing a rap is going to bust out into a freestyle rap as the officient. It's going to be a lot of fun. For those of you who have been following along with the channel and are into our personal life in addition to this first class flight, if you want to stick around to the end, we are going to take you all the way to the wedding. I can't promise how much we're going to film, but um we will at least uh show some highlights. So, stick around for that if you're interested.
You should definitely stick around. I think it's going to be amazing. But for now, we're celebrating that. Wow. Wa! Baby, that's the focus. When we booked this flight, we had no idea there was an Oktoberfest celebration going on on the plane, but the theme just keeps continuing. Typically, they just serve the caviar with all the normal topping, but during this season, they're doing a special edition of caviar where they put this layer of potatoes. I think she called it potato. Groki, grki. They basically put caviar on top of ash, like straight out of Cracked Barrel. Ashbro. Also, fun fact, the very first time I ever had caviar was on Luke Tons of First Class a few years ago. I feel like I just took a bite of the ocean.
Want to have a tea? Well, also she brought us this lovely olive oil. Okay, I've just gotten to know. Yeah, we are officially the only ones in first class today. This is the first time this has ever happened. No wonder we're getting so much attention. Can we just flash back to where I was 72 hours ago? Those challenges make moments like this so much sweeter. Proud of you. We definitely need a pretzel. Wow. I went a bit heavy on the appetizers. This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen on an airplane. In case there's somebody watching this video that doesn't know, Lufansza is a German airline, so it's only appropriate that
we get a traditional German pretzel. We actually went to Oktoberfest in Munich in 2016. We switched to a red wine to go with our next course. And red wine from Porto on an airplane will always remind me of my first Luanza first class. It was the middle of the night. Everyone in first class was sleeping except for me. And my flight attendant was awesome. A lot like Anita. She was having so much fun. I ordered a red wine and I couldn't decide which one I wanted. And she was like, "Would you like to taste all of them? We can do a tasting." So me and this girl do a full on red wine tasting. I had full pores all the way across my train. And honestly, I remember the French Bordeaux being my favorite. And I don't think
I've had one since that I liked as much as I did that day. I'm wondering if this is the same one. Course number three, we have pumpkin soup and we still have romaine. Does look really good. Incredible. The main course has officially arrived. Glazed bread dumpling with wild mushroom cream sauce, stewed leak, and sauteed mushrooms. Presentation is 10 out of 10. I'm going to dig into the dumpling first. OMG. Yum. It's the best I've ever had. I didn't think we ordered dessert, but she just rolled around an entire cart full of cheese and sweet things. We're
finishing off strong with raspberries and berry cream. Up until this point, I felt like I was in a calorie deficit and I had this like insatiable hunger. Like no matter how much I ate, I couldn't be full for more than 5 minutes. But I think this Bavarian cream and raspberries has officially filled that hole in my stomach. We had two meals in the lounge. The nuts, the moosh bouge, the caviar, starters, soup, mane, and dessert. And the pretzel pretzels, bread in the lounge. We're at like at least 10 courses. That's what it took to finally fill me up. The UTV race was such a whirlwind and in a way we didn't talk for 48 hours. Like I would see him at the aid stations, but we didn't really get to communicate much outside of like what's next you need?
How are you? How's your body? Do you need icy hot like it was just so crazy and then he would just disappear into the mountains and I would just go to the next spot where I got to talk to him again. And so this flight we've just been unpacking so many things that happened. and I had a million questions and this is just the first time we've been able to sit down and really talk about what he just accomplished. I still can't wrap my mind around it. I feel like I would have just fallen dead 30 m in if I can make it to 30. That's pretending I can run 30 m. You're stronger than you think.
I'm just so proud of them. Bathroom door. I felt like the flight attendant looked at me kind of funny when I walked back here. I think it might be because I'm still wearing my cookie necklace. First things first, dam time. Very cute top. Love the buttons. Came with this scarf thingy. Maybe this is a German thing. I don't hate it. Pretty nice toilet seat. I know that's a weird thing to point out, but it looks good. Doubles as a seat. There's a full length mirror if you want to check your fit. Fresh rose petals. How lovely. But most importantly, look at all of these products. We've got deodorant spray, facial spray, hand lotion, face cream. Oh, I think I just
flushed the toilet on accident. And now we can finally open our amenity kit. Let's see what we have here. I love amenity kits. You only knew how many of these I've saved in my cabinet at home. It's hilarious. We've got very long navy socks, hydrating cream. Oh yeah, nice. Unscented. Next, we have the ultimate soothing cream eye mask if we do decide to sleep. Earplugs in this cute little container. Always love mini brush. Shoe horn. This always makes me laugh. Do people still use these? Like for real. These are the little headphone ear covers. You don't want to touch other people's ears. A peppermint. And lastly,
a toothbrush. I actually need to use this right now. I think my teeth might be a little red from the wine. Never thought I'd be brushing my teeth and putting it on the internet, but here we are. Ready? Time for a room tour. Capture a few glasses of wine. Am I wearing this right? Before we put our seats down into a bed, let me give you a quick tour around. This technically is a seat because it has two seat belts. So if you just knew everyone in first class were having a little first class party, all four of you could sit here safely. This is basically the only option for having a meal is having this huge table out. The only problem I see with that is Nate and I usually like
to relax and watch a movie while we're eating. However, if someone's sitting on this side and the TV's behind us, that's not really possible. But we had so much to talk about and we were filming this video. So, that wasn't a problem on this flight, but I don't know. Any other time I might be kind of sad. Speaking of the TV, though, I think this might be the largest TV we've ever had in an airplane. Only to be rivaled by Eddie Hod's Residence, but that's just in a category all its own. So, it's huge is what I'm saying. Here in the corner, we have the classic livea rose. I've just decided to make this my little decoration area. I have my ducky and my necklace cookie nut that she brought us.
Beneath these seats is some very sneaky storage. We have our huge backpacks in here. They could easily fit like a typical carry-on suitcase, but if you have more than two bags, there's actually a deceivingly huge closet. There's obviously some hangers where we put our clothes. This part goes so deep. Like, look how far my arm goes down in here. You can fit a lot of stuff as long as it's about this wide. And there's a huge mirror. Moving on to the main seats. I'll start with my side. I would say this is the premium side if I had to choose one. Starting here, we have a little storage booth with a USBC and an outlet. On top, there's technically a wireless charging area, but it was kind
of finicky. It was like going on and off, so I just went ahead and plugged my phone in. Under the armrest, there is more storage with a USBC and a USB. And this tablet does pretty much anything you would need. You can take it out of the wall like this. And you can click on entertainment and pick from all of the movies and shows that they have. And the coolest part is you just hit one button and whatever's on your tablet shows up on the huge screen. Some might look at this as a con, but if you're sitting with someone and you want to watch something on the big screen, you have to watch the same thing. This is actually great for us, but I can see how this could be a problem for other people. I almost
forgot. The actual best feature of this seat that you control with the tablet is with a click of a button, you can control the temperature of your seat individually. This is an amazing feature we've never had before. But the fact that we can separately control our temperatures is huge. And the best part is if I wanted to lie all the way flat, but Nate still wanted to sit up, that's fine. I can sit like this. He can sit however he wants and we're both happy. Oh, this is just like a recliner option. Like you're not lying all the way down. You're just living your best life and getting sleepy. Let me go.
Oh, waiting light. And best of all, closing doors. They're not really like hard doors. They're just kind of curtains that magnet together. Very satisfying to do that. They are full floor to ceiling closing doors. Yeah. Like it's not Emirates game changer suite or Emirates first class where it's just shiny, flashy, gold, sparkly, but it's classy luxury, not flashy luxury. To me, this feels like you're inside a nice modern hotel. I love how almost everything inside these suites is made of wall. that doesn't necessarily sound the fanciest, but when you're on an airplane, it kind of dampens the sound all around you. And I feel like this is the quietest cabin that I've ever been
in. It's a very calming interior. And now we're going to see what the bed setup is like. I believe this is one of three first class seats in the sky that has a true double bed. We've flown the other two, which was Eddie Hod, the residence, which has a completely private bedroom, which is out of this world. That's in a category all its own. And then the other is Singapore first class suites. What I loved about that flight was you kind of had your own experience. Like you had this recliner thing that could swivel all over and like you could both watch your own movies on your own TV. But then when it was time to go to sleep, they made up a double bed in the middle. But this is the third and final true like
double bed in the sky. Should I do a bed test? Yeah, it might be kind of hard. It's a plane. 3 2 1 Softer than expected. This is so cozy. The blankets and the sheets are so soft. I am obsessed with this little bedroom. It's actually huge. We have a bedroom on a plane. So, they brought us this super thick duvet. There's about an inch cushion that they've laid over top of the seat. Super cozy pillows. We are going to spend a few hours relaxing until we get to New York. Trying really, really hard not to go to sleep.
The bummer is these lights are still broken, which means they're on the whole time no matter what. I don't know if the camera's doing justice just how much room we have. Like, look, I can stretch my legs and arms out as far as possible and they still don't touch the sides. This might be the most expensive bed we've ever paid for. Might be. Stay away. Cheers to 108 miles. Oh, what a sad day. Quick uh peek into the new Algra business class. That's interesting.
Thank you so much. You're welcome. Not sleeping on the flight sounded like a great idea when we were on it, but now that my body thinks it's almost 2:00 in the morning sounding like uh less of a good idea. Oh, that's a heavy one. Oh, nice. All right. About to miss our flight running to the other. Okay, we made it to New York. Um, big difference. Oh, we are in New Jersey. Actually, was amazing. Gets a 10 out of 10 rating from me. People giving that middle seat a hard time, but if you're with somebody you love, I couldn't think of a better place to fly across the Atlantic. The food was amazing. The flight attendants were amazing. I do wish the vibe lights would have worked, but besides that, I can't complain. Now we have um maybe 10
minutes to get to the check-in for our next flight. It was a separate flight that we booked flying con United. Um and if we don't make it there, it's going to get a little stressful for the wedding, you know. Mhm. My legs were not ready for this. Hey, we made it. Back to real life. Look at this. Boom. Back on our couch. Back to the couch. We got a big screen. I'm sure that may arrive with champagne any minute for sure. You are wearing your pajamas, which I love. So much leg room. Like basically this is pretty much Lato first. So tired. No regrets.
All right. From here, we're flying to Toronto. Once we land in Toronto, we're sleeping at the airport. Then tomorrow morning we're picking up a rental car and driving up to Aan and Beck. So, uh, Lyn is here and, uh, we'll see you at the wedding. What's happening? I'm getting my first tattoo at a wedding, but I didn't make a pick. Well, I got to pick from plat. This is something I've always wanted, but I'm super indecisive and I don't have anything that I'm just obsessed with enough. But this is a great story. I'm obsessed with it. It's finally ending. All right. No turning back. I'm so ready. Bro, what is your wife doing?
This is your fault. Wait, this isn't permanent, right, Sam? How's it feel, Katie? It doesn't hurt at all. Like, she's gentle, isn't she? Honestly. Yeah. This is on my arm. I can't believe this is my arm. I just so you know like I did my one of You know what's funny? It could say something like we wish you could have been there but unfortunately uh yeah and Beck had a silent disco party and a tattoo artist at their wedding. I still love my tattoo. Beck and I got matching ones. Aan got like
four. I kid you not. It was the best weekend of my life. Getting to officiate their wedding was such an honor. I still can't believe that they trusted me with their ceremony. Thankfully, AM and Beck are very easy to love. So, it wasn't too difficult. Of course, the sunshine's coming out now when I'm talking about them. And my wrap went pretty well, if I do say so myself. I want to share everything with you. It was the best day ever. Seriously. But I don't want to spoil anything because Aman and Beck are posting their own beautiful movie of the whole thing and we're both going to have to wait for that to come out. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video and we'll see you in the next one.
Love you.
