Alright, let's move on to Notre Dame vs. BYU. Finally, Notre Dame plays against a team we want to see, from whom we will learn something. Maybe, we'll see. The bets are not entirely safe. It's a 10.5 point advantage for Notre Dame in their visit to Provo. Um, Game Day will be there. It's an important event. There is a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding this confrontation. We've covered Notre Dame week after week. We 've seen them tick off everything on their list of improvements, things they need to perfect as the season progresses, as this helps them get to Miami in a few weeks, right? In other words, from a calendar point of view, everything is perfectly set up for them. What I questioned most, and I

think we all did, about Notre Dame at the start of the season was the running game after losing two first-round running backs. There were ups and downs during the first month of the season, but that's Jonas for you. He's the one. In the last two weeks, we have seen him achieve record-breaking performances. He is a first-year student. Mike Denbrock told me when I was there in August: "The rookie has something special, Bryson has it." That's an incredible compliment, but we're looking into it . You see the speed, the explosiveness, and the total yardage he is capable of contributing. He needs to have the ball more often. He needs to receive the ball earlier, but I think they have the player in the running back position

who intimidates teams. Um, they have a lot of different receivers that CJ Carr feels comfortable with, several guys who can be the number one player in any game. The defense is excellent at all three levels. Um, and CJ Carr has incredible command and control of this offense. He looks ready for the professional level right now, as we are. So, in my opinion, I don't think BYU can achieve much offensively. In the last two years, that has been their limiting factor. Are they explosive enough on offense? Are they productive enough offensively against good teams and elite defenses? We saw it twice last year against Texas Tech. The offense couldn't do anything. Notre Dame has a great defense. I think life will be

difficult without LJ Martin, their best runner. I know their offense did a lot last week against Iowa State, but I don't think it will look the same against Notre Dame. I simply don't see BYU keeping up the pace in this game. I have more faith in Notre Dame's offense against a good defense than the other way around Yes, I totally agree with you. There's going to be a disparity of talent on the field, and that's not all. We see a less talented team win every week, but that certainly favors Notre Dame. I do n't think BYU is going to be able to score much at all. That applies as much to what I think of Notre Dame's defense as it does to what I think of BYU's offense. But there is that scenario where Notre Dame faces a

defensive line like the one they saw against Wisconsin, for example, where they really couldn't establish the running game. Like what you saw a little bit against Michigan State, where those guys played hard and physical, even though they're not that good, right? It took them a little while to find their rhythm in that game. Yes, it took them about halfway, right?, in both games. Yes. So, is BYU structured on its defensive line to force CJ Stroud into situations where he 's an obvious pass, so BYU can cover a bit and make it harder for him to shoot those windows, even though he might make them all? I'm not saying he can't do it

. But we saw last year that against some of the best defenses, he perhaps had a little more difficulty in his game. I think that would be the only thing that would make me hesitate. But I simply don't feel that way. I think Notre Dame is that good. That's what it boils down to for me. Me too. I think we're both going with Notre Dame to cover the 10.5 points. And I'll just add something to your point about CJ Carr. Those were also his first two games as a starter. TRUE. Well, I mean, even when they played against Pitt last year, it was kind of ugly, you know? It was like. I mean, I'm not worried about CJ Carr. But yeah, I would like someone to push him a little to learn more about him.

Listen, this is what we wanted to see. They're going to be away from home. So how does that affect things? The environment will also play a role. The environment, right? So, as a quarterback, he likes to call the plays at the line of scrimmage. You need to make sure you can do all of that. You mentioned Walton, like when you take a freshman on a trip, again, as if you were going to learn something. So, I'm not saying it's as obvious as we're making it seem, right? In other words, BYU is a good football team. It's just that we have a very high opinion of Notre Dame. Absolutely, and the atmosphere will be amazing even though, you know, there won't be much alcohol. There's a lot of sugar. There's a

lot of caffeine. He's one of the best. It's a great crowd, a great atmosphere. I was surprised when I learned that caffeine was a big deal there, like, I know they love energy drinks. So much soda all over the state of Utah.
