So, we're coming down to the wire in this treehouse brew house. We're getting the windows in. We've got the railings going on. We've got painting and staining to do still. Heck, we're putting a bathroom in this thing. This is the pee hole, the poo hole. But the most important thing is the bar. This is a brewery in the trees. And Kevin, the client, wants me to go look at a bar that he's got stored on the property. Who knows? He collects a lot of stuff. Yeah, this is cool. I think this would fit beautifully. But the problem is we don't have a bar top. I might just call up my Amish buddies and see maybe we could work out something and get a nice little bar top. So I called Robert, you know, he
was one of the Amish guys that helped us. And uh turns out his dad's got a sawmill, so it's perfect. Got this bar top I need. We've got three barrels that are cut in half that create the base of this thing, but I need to get a top on it. Okay. So, what I'm looking for in the bar top is a pine. I'm going to go 2 in thick. This one's perfect. How we going to get this thing over there? So, you could drive this thing. Yeah. In the Amish culture, as long as you don't own it, you're allowed to drive it. Really? All right. Yeah. Robert deafly goes over, grabs that log.
Piece of cake. And then he teaches me how to use the saw. I'm looking for two wide planks, rustic live edge that will put together and create the bar top. Look at that. This is going to be beautiful. Yeah, it is. So, once we found our pieces, Robert and I brought them back to the job. We cut them to the right size, married them together, sanded them down. I love the live edge where you saw these logs. You keep one of the edges as it is in nature. It just seems like that's the style you want to have in a bar top, especially in a treehouse. It looks good. This thing's going to look good in there, I think. You have a beer with us when we get this thing done?
Nope. Amish don't drink. And uh plus, I'm underage. Well, I was just testing you. And you passed. So, the mooneyies are coming later today. Robert and I had to rush back with the new bar top just in time to install it with the rest of the bar. This thing weighs about 500 lb. You all right, Robert? Yep. Got that baby in. Yep. Got it. I think we're ready for business. Hello, gentlemen. Today is the hugest day of the whole building project because the beer making equipment comes to the house.
We're going to try and put that up there, right? Exactly. Yeah. I mean, believe it or not, a brewery up in the trees. I mean, pretty interesting. We brewed in different situations and different places. Um, we actually brew in our parking lot at our store once a year, but never a treehouse. It's a 30- gallallon system. We put it all together at the shop, fired it, made sure everything was up and running. So, we're ready to just bring it on up and get it set up for you.
Is that very heavy? It's probably a couple hundred pounds. We're going to have to manhandle it a little bit. And there you go. Did I get the light one? It's safe. I promise. I'm feeling good. Got to go slow. Good. I'm good. Got it. Yep. I got it. Okay. The system that we put in here today would really be a nice uh pilot system for a micro brew. It's a real brewery. There's a 30-galon brewery right there.
Oh yeah. Now it's rolling. Okay. So, you're set up. It's completely ready to run. You're going to make me look like a hero here. I mean, look at that. Well, I think you're already the hero here. Since we're in the woods, we thought we would go with a rustic log cabin feel on the inside. So, I called in the interior designer Desperado. Tori, she comes with a whole team OF PEOPLE. WOW, you did an amazing job. It's mayhem in the treehouse right now. We've got furniture going in.
We've got shelves. Good, good, good. We've got all kinds of decorations going in. Anybody order a bearhead in here? Yes. Loving it. Man, when Tori the Tornado shows up, things happen. And I'm so excited. This is perfect. Coming together. It's really coming together. It's a brewery. It's a functional, beautiful, comfortable, warm brewery. I've got one more thing for you to do. Can you help me hang this sign down here? No doubt. It's heavy. We figured we need a sign to just anchor this thing. I mean, this has been a dream forever. When you really make a sign, I mean, a concrete sign and
you hang it. This dream is real. We got it done. I know. Thank you. About time. What an opportunity for me to just come out of Seattle and be in the middle of Amish country working with these really talented carpenters. Thanks a lot. I really loved working with you. Oh, you're welcome. I love working with Pete. He's always a fun character to be around. Always makes me laugh. Can I get a job? Job? Really? Do you own any tools? Big days here. I'm I'm really proud of this project. I'm beyond excited. I want to see how the drawings and Pete's hard work transitions into the final piece of the puzzle.
Hey, Pete, I hope you didn't screw this up. I'm excited. I can't wait to show it off to the mooneyies and see what they think. Don't look. I'm not going to Eyes down. Okay, here you go. Wow, Pete. Oh my god, it's unbelievable. It looks so happy. It does. It's a happy place. It's a happy house. When I first looked up and saw it, it was almost like a flying barn. It fits in so naturally with the property. It had all the nostalgic feel of the countryside.
I love the window. That's unbelievable. Isn't that beautiful window? The big window in the front is just amazing. It's so prominent. It makes the whole treehouse. Before we go up, let me just show you something here real quick. Treehouse Brewing Company. That's it. It's icing. It's all Look at that. That is an awesome sign. It's all coming real. This process, this project, this business is all finally starting. That's the company going. To see them hug each other, I knew that it was a special moment for them. Here it goes. This is it. Look at that. We're going to do it. It just feels like things are coming together. It was awesome. I'll never forget that moment.
We've talked about this for years. Yeah. Now it's coming real. It is. Well, let's go inside. You want to go inside? Absolutely. Come on. Follow me. Now, you could have a line of elephants walk up these stairs and out there and pack the place. It's heavy duty. So, you could never put too many people in this place. You could never put too many people. This is last. Traditionally, I think of going into a treehouse going up a ladder or stairs or something like that. But to have that long entrance way, it's like beckoning, like a welcome.
Look how high we are. Hey you guys. Oh, easy there. Boys will be boys. Wow. This is fantastic. So, here is your drinking deck. I mean, look at the view here. Huh? It's gorgeous. Oh my. Right over valley. It's beautiful. The deck is pressuret treated. So, low maintenance. Low maintenance is my thing. Yeah. After you, please. This is amazing. Oh my god. This is fantastic. This barrel bar, it seems appropriate. So, I got this bar top together with one of your Amish buddies. You know, we ended up going to the sawmill and we put
the thing together and we Oh, did you cut this from a log? Yeah. Oh, wow. That's exciting. It was just really a pleasure working with these guys. I mean, this is so cool. We've got some great carvings. A beautiful carved bear. Now, look at this. Here we are. your brewery. It was awesome. It was set up perfectly for a small batch brewing system where we can experiment with beers, hone in on recipes. I mean, holy smokes. I can't help but just come up and hug it. This is amazing. You know, we've got your beer. Look at that.
I love it. Oh, yeah. How about that? Looks awesome. Isn't that beautiful? Looks like the treehouse. And it is this very treehouse. I mean, how about that? Is that cool? It's outstanding. Do you think we should maybe pull one? See what happens. Let's do it. Okay, here we go. I love this tap. Look at that little treehouse. That's awesome. There you are. That's awesome. I like it. Wow. Quinn, I'm afraid, you know, you're gonna have to show me some ID. This is the first Treehouse Brewing Company beer being had in a treehouse.
It's really starting a new phase of our life and ending the phase of talking and dreaming about it. Treehouse Brewing Company and Pete Nelson. That's nice. Thank you. The Trios Brewing Company has found a home where we are going to make some awesome tasting beer.
