You know our next guest from her part-time work in law enforcement on Reno 911 and now co-starring alongside me and an incredible cast on our funny and charming show The Four Seasons. How was the night out with Mike? It was good. Yeah, and I know you guys were hoping that it would be something more, but I'm glad it didn't go any further. Your bras in that bagel bag? Oh, Danny, why didn't I take his number? He was so nice. Why did I say no? I'm such a stupid idiot.
No, honey, you're not. SEASON 2 IS STREAMING NOW ON NETFLIX. PLEASE WELCOME MY CO-STAR KERRI KENNEY SILVER. MY DEAR LORD, you look good. like a fever dream of some kind. It's a fever dream? Why? Because you saw Niecy Nash bets back there? No, I have to tell you something. It's interesting that, you know, Niecy and I have such a connection, but yet they didn't have us together on camera at all tonight because this is breaking news.
Have you ever seen the two of us together ever? No, because we're THE SAME PERSON. IT'S TRUE. IT LOOKS LIKE I DON'T have any boobies, but I just inflate them when I become Niecy. I love the inflation. do it at the end. Okay. It's a party trick, right? trick. Oh, it's a party. Well, Mike, how was the morning? Because, you know, usually I see you on our mornings when we're going to set and we have our own thing that we talk about. We have our thing. The whole cast has our thing that we talk about. we're in our most of us are in our 50s and so We say that we say we are of a certain age.
Yes. We've hit that age. We are of a certain age. But what's our conversation first day? We talk about elimination. Or did you poop? Did you poop yet? Did If you're of a certain age, this is a very important conversation. And it's always the most important one of the day. You're like, "Did you poop? Am I going to poop? What did you do to poop?" When do you think I might be ABLE TO POOP? WE EVEN pull tarot cards. Yeah. It we really do. It's really wild. It's It's wild and yet it isn't wild. It's like, "Why isn't everyone talking about this all the time?"
Well, but listen, don't you remember our parents talked about it all the time. And I And it was annoying. I was like, "Why are you talking about trying to get a poop?" It's okay to talk about for some reason when you're two and when you're of a certain age. But in between it's gross. Everybody poops. You heard it right here, you guys. about it. They should write a book about it. Okay, goodbye everybody. CARRIE, I HAVE THIS has been a dream job working with you, truly. We're now we'll be moving into our season 3, WHICH IS GREAT.
WHICH IS AWESOME. BUT I JUST LOVE LIKE THE idea that we get to travel the world together, you know what I mean? We get to travel, we get to go to places like you I don't know. Where do we go? We went to New Jersey. We got to go to New Jersey together. But we did go to Italy. We did. Oh my god, we went to Italy, which is a dream in itself, but I have to tell you the funny thing. Somebody said to me like, "What was the most memorable part of Italy?" Yeah. And you might think, "Oh, it was the cathedrals. It was the Christmas markets. The shopping." For me, the single most memorable part of that was
us walking into the Christmas market. I don't I don't you've seen Four Seasons, but there's a scene where we walk into a Christmas market and there are 500 witches that have my face. And you didn't know that the production designers was going TO DO THAT. IS MY FACE because they 3D scanned it. Did you know that there would be so many? We went on set and there was like hundreds of them. Hundreds of them and now I have hundreds of them at my home. It's my Christmas is so creepy now. I MEAN IT'S NOT NARCISSISTIC because I look horrible. But I love it. I love it so much.
I know. [snorts] Oh my god, we had the best time. We had the best But I would say I would do this show in a basement. No offense to Dayton, Ohio, but in Dayton, Ohio I would do this show with you anywhere because it feels like theater. It feels like it feels when we all get together like play. And we're so lucky. Oh, come on, Netflix. Don't end it at four seasons cuz it's called The Four Seasons. Four more seasons. I love it. You know what? I did um after I have this one scene that went viral of me with the wine glass and I realized I was like, wait a minute, this seems familiar. I remember somebody doing this. And then I was like, wait a
minute. Kerri Kenney-Silver has a scene similar to this in Reno 911. I do. Check it out. I'll drink this and my mood will change as follows. Quiet rage. Mostly rude. Flirty, still rude. And finally, I return to me being adorable. Let the journey begin. Now wait. And White wakes me up. Blue calms me down. Orange keeps the demons from dancing ALL AROUND. ISN'T IT WILD? RIGHT, BUT YOU CUT OFF THE BEST PART.
WHAT WAS THE BEST PART? APROPOS TO OUR CONVERSATION, which I say, "And white I take so that I don't get diarrhea IN MY PANTS." WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THAT? THAT'S BRILLIANT. I'M A LADY. YOU'RE A LADY. EXACTLY. OKAY. of people think I'm like Dame Judi Dench. Go on. Do will there be another season of Reno 911 because Niecy Nash-Betts is back there. You can make it happen, I think. Niecy Nash-Betts is the reason we ever happen again. We keep happening Really?
Yeah, because Niecy. Niecy wants to do it. Yeah, but when Niecy wants to do something, and by the way, I'm one of the show creators, but when Niecy wants to do something, we were on a red carpet one time. She was ahead of me. So, you know, someone's asking her questions and then I come along, and then they ask me similar questions. Niecy went, and then I went, and the interviewer said, "So, I hear you're doing Reno again." And I turned to Niecy and she just went, AND GUESS WHAT? WE DID. YEAH, SO I WILL NEVER say never with that show. Never say never. Do you get recognized more for Four Seasons or Reno 911?
Yeah, [snorts] I mean, Four Seasons has opened up Reno 911 is still was still quite underground. Is still. It's still sort of in the know kind of show, I think. it. They ride hard for it. They do. We're so lucky. We're so lucky to have that kind of And I can see them coming at me. Usually, they're wearing like a ripped up concert t-shirt and, you know, Chucks, but they're of a certain age. And uh but it the beauty in with the Four Seasons, people come up to me everywhere now. It's so fun to be on a show that has that much, you know, attention and with you know, gods um who people are interested in, but I'm not great at it because I love speaking to everyone in public, and I always have,
but my family knows it's dangerous because I don't have a good memory, and I think I know everybody. Like, this was about 10 years ago. I was in the grocery store by our house, and I saw my friend Nick Kroll. There's Nick Kroll, he's my friend, I know him. Mhm. So, I thought, I'm going to do a bit, and I'm going to creep up behind him while he's bending down and looking at flowers, and I'm going to go in this really, really weird voice, "Get the begonias." Great good bit. Nick didn't think so. He turned around and had the most confused look on his face, and I was like, "My friend Nick is hurting because normally this would be very funny to him. So, what I will do is I will now follow him about the store
doing my best to make him laugh. So, at every turn, I would say, "So, what are you buying?" And he'd say, "Pasta." AND I'D GO, "PASTA?" NOTHING WAS WORKING. Even great bits like that. So, then I said to him, "What are you buying the flowers for?" And he said, "Well." Now, at this time Nick was dating Amy Poehler, a mutual friend. Okay. And he said, "Well, my wife just opened a flower shop here." So, I said, "Your wife?" You're like deep into the bit.
Still getting nothing from my friend Nick Kroll, who I know very well. We check out. I go out to my car, and as I'm getting in my car, I look at the car next to me, and there is a car full of children and a woman I do not know. Nick Kroll's getting into the car, and I realize not only is that not Nick Kroll, but that's Josh Molina from the TV, who I DO NOT KNOW. I HAVE NEVER MET AND to this day I still have not met. So, Josh, THAT WAS ME. AND I HOPE YOUR WIFE LIKES THE BEGONIAS. Let me tell you something. The thing that I as I've got to know you and I've got to know you very well is that you're
not only an extraordinary comedic actress, but you're a beautiful dramatic actress. I think you can do anything, truly. Thank you. I agree. Watch. I'm going to cry. No, you're you're quite beautiful. Thank you. I can't take a compliment. You know that. I mean, this guy who like what? What am I doing here? What am I doing on a show with this? Uh because we love each other and I think you're talented and you have such a big heart. going to take it in. Take just take it in. a moment of silence.
Just take it in. But, you also come from a I want to talk about your dad for a second. You come from this institution. He's a legendary voice actor. That's right. You know, a lot of people in the '70s as young women, their parents might not say, "Hey, comedy's a great idea for you." Because it just wasn't a thing really with women at that time. There were some select standouts, but it wasn't really a career that most people could aspire to as a woman at that time. Didn't seem feasible. But, my father was and is a cartoon bird. Perhaps you've heard of him. He's Kuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
Thank you. GOODNIGHT. IS HE STILL DOING VOCAL VOICE WORK? YES, he is. He's Skittles taste the RAINBOW GUY. WAIT, WHAT? YES, HE WAS Lionel Lord of the Thundercats. Yes. Yes, he was Lionel Lord of the Thundercats. He's like the guy. And so, when I said I want to do this, my dad's like, "I'm a cartoon bird. Like, go do whatever you want." You're a descendant of a cartoon bird. That's right, a very successful cartoon bird. what? Thank you, Keri. Season 2 of The Four Seasons IS STREAMING ON NETFLIX.
THANK YOU FOR COMING. I LOVE YOU. OH, I LOVE YOU. WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK WITH THE Roots and I.
