Spring is in the air, people. And let me tell you, tortoises are happy. Now, you know what, folks? It takes a lot of work to keep this camp running and looking good. So, uh, today I'm just rolling around it. And it's a nice part of the day. It's the golden hour. You know, I love the golden hour. And we're just going to trim some things. And what are you done already? Anyway, we're going to trim. Look for some critters. just have a good time getting some work done. You got more work to do, actually. Get back over there.

Okay, friends. So, as you can see, I've got my clippers. It's my favorite thing to do. I absolutely I don't know what it is. I actually enjoy kind of cruising around, trimming things up. Especially enjoy it more that I have our kabotas. The RTVX1130 is incredibly helpful in this endeavor, as you can imagine. And look at this gal. She is coming over here. She wants some attention. Hello, young lady. Don't you just love tortoises? Don't you just love them? They come on over. They're very inquisitive. They're like, "What are you doing here? Are

you going to feed me, Dad? Tomorrow is feeding day, but you might get a cactus surprise. Let's go ahead and do that." I mean, who can resist the cuteness that are the radiated tortoises here when they are coming over wanting a little attention? They want some food is what they want. But who am I to deny my kids something tasty like some of these cactus here? We'll try and get a few. We're trying to let this grow back. This is one of the plants you don't like to trim. you kind of keep it growing wild so that you can pluck off some and you could just chuck it out for the children's.

Thank you to all our loyal Patreon members out there who have helped to create an amazing reptile community online with us. This week's shout out goes to Amy Bruner. Plus, this will keep them out of my hair while I'm actually Come on. Look down. Hey, you missed it. Look down. There you go. You got that one and you got that one. Cool. So, anyway, what I'm doing is just simple, just I'm not going too crazy, but this particular fern is looking a little haggarded. So, I'm going to go ahead get to work. We're going to trim some things down. We're going to feed some

tortoises. Just have a good time. Work doesn't need to be miserable. It can be a nice relaxing endeavor. In fact, have you ever heard of blue zones, people? Blue zones are places in the world where people live well into their hundreds. There's one in Yor Belalinda, California, I believe. There's some in Japan. There's a couple There's one in Costa Rica. Uh there is some in Europe. There's one or two in Europe and uh other parts of Asia and Africa. Now, blue zones are good because people have a purpose. They work with their hands and bodies, but they don't really

destroy their bodies. They build fences. They do what I'm doing. and they kind of just kind of, you know, have meaningful, purposeful jobs. They have uh purposeful lives and they have family and friends and they eat healthy. And blue zones uh are pretty amazing. So, I like to delude myself into thinking that Camp Cannon is a blue zone. I don't know. But it does give me purpose. I enjoy it. I'm going to get out here and uh trim this fern and stop prattling on about blue zones. Okay. Okay, here we go. Oh, look. There's my wife. She's She's teaching young minds. She's waving at

us. She's actually tutoring. So, if you guys need some Spanish lessons, let me know. I got just the lady who can do it for you. All right, let me get this fern going. I'll see you guys in a minute. Happy. Hey. So, that's a pretty big pile of brush, but there's a whole another pile way on the other side of the property. Good thing is the X1130. It's got this lever and you could just lift it up and dump it out. This makes life so much more easy here on the farm.

How about it? All right, let's get back to work. Okay, let's give it to the scatas, otherwise known as the reptilian garbage disposal. The weed eaters lit literally. There you go, guys. Hap to it. Perfect time of day. Here's big mama. Somebody they girls are getting bread. You can tell cuz they got a lot of scuff marks on them. Look at that. The male's been chalking them up. Holy smokes. Here comes Hercules now. But look at

that. They'll just go through this before dark. And uh they're going to be very, very happy. Look at that, kids. Oh, I love it. Ah, it's so gratifying to see the tortoises eating weeds right from your own yard. You just get to work. Look at this guy motoring over. Come here, Herk. Look at him motoring over. Come on, man. He went four-wheeling. Switched into four-wheel low. Got up and over that. A little rock crawling, trunk crawling, actually. All right. I'm happy because they are happy. When they are happy, I'm happy. Ah, look at that. You going to sniff? Come over

here, man. We'll uh get Hercules over here and he'll get all up in here with the gals and trim this down. And then I'll come back tomorrow and I'll get rid of the vines, the bare vines. But, um, yeah, man. And it's just awesome. It's one of my favorite things in the world, just feeding these guys natural foods, making them happy. Um, I don't know. I don't know what to tell you. It's a beautiful evening. It was about 95° today, but now temperatures in the low 80s and uh you can really get a lot done. You know what I'm saying? See, there's locate something or other. I don't

know. Amazon. Okay. Uh, where to go to next? I don't know. Just follow your nose as Gandalf says. Oh, I just thought of something. I just saw I remembered something. I dropped a utensil that's going to come in handy. Let me see if it's right here. Got to be careful. You know, things fly off the uh carts. Where is it? There it is. That's what I was looking for. Little knife. I got an idea, friends. I always know where my knives are. Drives Kate nuts. All right.

Okay, just making sure my clippers are still in here. Remind me when I was a young lad. Dukes of hazarding it. No speed limit on the camp. Let's get some banana leaves. All right. Look at these kids waiting over here for me. Some late to bed. Get some food here. Come on. There's Cersei. And that's Buddy. Hey, Nazy. Come here, bub.

Come on. Anyhow, we got everything done just in the nick of time. Sun's just going down over the horizon and uh I'm loving it, man. Just a perfect evening. A perfect evening to get a few things done, to hang out, uh be one with nature by mangling it, you know, trimming it. Anyhow, it's a lot of fun. I'm just kind of looking to see if there's any other little edibles here for these guys. But no, alas, there are not. Guys, are you not seeing this? They may not be hungry. Who knows? I've never known a tortoise not to be hungry. Look at that. Look at that good stuff.

Get all up in there. If he just If we can just kind of get him started, he'll eat until sundown. Come on. Look what I got, Nazi. Come here, big boy. Look at how big he's gotten. You know, sometimes it amazes me. I'll look at him and I think, "Holy smokes, he was just a little hatchling when I got him." And here he is now. Come on, bub. Come on, dud. Let's go. Over there. I hear something. Oh, there's there's Socrates. Come on over here, buddy. Anyway, friends, I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know if they're going to eat or not, but I

know the work is done and I can relax. Yes, that's what I do every day, all day without fail. Making things better for these animals. Okay. Well, uh, you know, it's like waiting for a pot to boil. It's not going to happen. But I'll tell you what will happen. We'll be back on another video soon.
