Our First Time Flying BUSINESS CLASS on Lufthansa! ✈️ Was It Worth It?? (Food & Flight Review). | Transcript:

Uh, my favorite part of first class, the hot towel. Am I doing this right? You can put Eric in business class, but you can't take the economy out of them. It's got a nice uh smell on the nose. It's got a smell on the nose. Wow. My nose smelled it and my mouth tasted it. And they're both saying, "Oh yeah, we're going." Oh. Oh yeah. Bye-bye. See you. My god. You are completely flat officially. But it's like a ride that I had to pay a lot of money for.

Good morning, adventures. once again from the airport here in Austin. Could you tell by our green swivel chairs? We love these chairs. Yeah, this is our new jam. Now, if you guys caught our last video, you know that we took a quick local trip to Idaho and it was an absolute blast. Completely stunning scenery. But we decided we're going to head back out. And this time, we are going to head a lot further than Idaho. We're going a whole heck of a lot further. We're going to Croatia.

You said that as if you didn't believe yourself. I know. I can't believe it. We're actually going actually. So, you may or may not remember this, but Croatia was one of the first countries we went to about 10 years ago or so when we started traveling. But last time, all we saw was Drovnneck. And this time, we are on a mission to see so much more. But first, we got to get there. And you guys know that we recently took our very first business class flight. Well, we are about to take our second business class flight. We're going to do it again because we feel like we didn't really do it right the first time. We were just too excited. We didn't hardly take advantage of the free drinks. We didn't

sleep on it. Now, don't get me wrong, we had a blast on that flight, but we got more points racked up now. So, we are going to try it again. And just FYI, we paid out of pocket for both these flights. This video isn't sponsored or anything like that. I got so jet-lagged last time, but this time my goal is to not get jetlagged. I need to sleep on this flight. Okay. How long is it? It's 9ish 10 hours almost. 10 hours. That gives me 2 or 3 hours to goof around, enjoy business class, maybe catch a movie, and then catch some Z's.

I'm so bad at sleeping on planes, though, you guys. Even if I'm laying down, I don't know if I'm going to sleep, but I'm going to try. Dang it. At the very least, we're not going to have sore butts. right, it's happening. We are boarding. I think we're right back here. It's time to see what Luanza Business Class is all about. I think we're going to like it. Uh I guess I can already see what it's about. Yes, confirmed. Like it. Love it. Home sweet home. This doesn't look so bad, huh?

No. Look, I can stand up completely underneath here. This is a lot better than last time because if you guys remember, we had a big divider between us. So, it really wasn't that cool. No, it kind of sucked. We were kind of angled away from each other with a partition in the middle. So, we didn't even really get to interact. Yeah. But now we get to hang out, hold hands, we can even smooch if you want to. Ooh, we're not going to be doing that. Oh, I mean, we're not going to be doing that.

We'll save that for after the flight. That's for our other channel. Well, I'm already in love with it. I mean, so much room, so much storage. Oh, I love the big screen, too. Fancy. Oh, what is that all about? Why? Well, all the other first class people are going to hate us. You can 100% tell that we are not first class people. Also, we keep saying first class. Get over it. We're going to say that it's business class. Whatever. They're all the same to us. Yeah, last time we kept saying first class when it's business class, but we're just used to saying that.

It's fine. It's all fancy. real fast. Of course, right when you get on, they give you a little sparkling wine and the most adorable little bag of peanuts. I love it. And this is fancy. This is like a mission control center. Peep. I cannot wait to figure out what it does. Okay, but I think we got to get ourselves settled in and then we'll give you a full tour once we take the tour and figure it all out. We will soon leave the stand and be on our way. Please fasten your seat belts now. Let's hold on tight.

Well, we are officially in the air. And watching the takeoff of an airplane like this never gets old because it just seems so heavy. It seems like it's impossible that it's going to lift off the ground. And lo and behold, it just goes. And it's actually much smoother than the smaller planes, I think. So, you guys already saw we have this giant screen in front of us. And we noticed that when you turn on an angle, you can't see the screen anymore. So, that's pretty awesome. It gives you privacy even though you're sitting right next to somebody. It's perfect for those awkward moments where nudity just suddenly appears in a movie. The seat is obviously much more comfortable than what you would get back in economy. It's

got this adjustable headrest. Then over to the side, you have a fancy little reading light that you can turn on and off. There's all these little hidden compartments. Like over here to the side of the armrest, I found a little headphone compartment. Since the screen is so far away from you, you actually open up your armrest here, and there's a handy remote that pops out. Oh, and check it out. This black thing in the middle actually acts as a mouse. So, that's how you control the screen. Uh, my favorite part of first class, the hot towel. Am I doing this right? Oh, I thought you were going to say your favorite part, looking like a complete dodo.

Well, that's just typical for me. But, uh, what are you supposed to do with this? Probably wipe your hands or something. Yeah. Getting ready for the meal. Are you telling me they're fitting to serve me a first class business class meal? Not first class. Yes, they are. And it should be pretty dang fancy. That's my kind of business right there.

Well, this has been a pretty rad experience so far. Our attendant came by and took our order. You choose a first course. They have a salad, a main course, and dessert. For our first course, I went with the beef carpacio. They gave us a beautiful little salad on the side. And Eric went with the ratatouille. I don't know that we know what carpacio or ratatouille are, but we did it. This does not look like you're on a plane, does it? No, it doesn't at all. It looks like I went to some upscale dining restaurant. That's nice. And they do not let your drinks go dry here. They come around and they're like,

"Can we get you anything else? Can we top you off?" Also, fun fact about the wine here. Apparently, they work with a team to curate the wine list because when you're up at this elevation and with this low humidity, it affects the way wine tastes. So, all of these wines are supposed to taste perfect at this elevation and this humidity level. Things you never knew. So, that's what you're paying for when you get business class, like Somalier Airline experience. Ooh, it's got a nice uh smell on the nose. It's got a smell on the nose. Mhm. Wow. My nose smelled it and my mouth tasted it. And they're both saying, "Oh, yeah.

Look at this adorable little salt shaker." Look, they have a little protector on top of it. Peel that off. Then you pour your salt. How cute. This is what we have been waiting for. The main course. Eric got marcapone ravioli with there's like mushrooms in there, rustic tomato sauce. I think I won though. I got brazed short ribs. It comes with carrots, broccolini, mashed potatoes, and of course the sauce. It's aukco sauce on top. You got the oabuko and the gabagul. Yeah. All this from a slice of gabagul.

You guys, we watched the Sopranos. If you have not done that yet, what are you waiting for? It's fantastic. But you'll hear a lot about Azabuko and Gaboo, which is the best one. Yeah. Well, that's delicious. Confirmed. The sauce is super savory. The meat is It could be a little less cooked or a little less well done, but I mean, we're on an airplane. The flavors though are great. They have got those down.

Let's see what uh airline uh ravioli is all about. It's pretty flavorful. I'll give them that. It's pretty delicious. It's very tomatoey, but you can see it's just slightly kind of overcooked a little bit or over reheated maybe. But see, that's the thing. It's like for an airline, pretty dang good. But Eric in business class, but you can't take the economy out of him. I will forever be economy. Everybody here knows it. I'm really enjoying this little fantasy land we're in, though. The drinks are flowing. I've got delicious food. They really cater to you here. Like, he knows my name. He remembers the drink. They are so nice.

It's pretty great. Dessert has been served. My dessert. Eric's is still coming. You got quite an appetite after all that Gabbul and Osabuko, whatever you had. Just kidding. We're sharing all this stuff. But oh my gosh, you brought out a tray and was like, "What do you want?" And we said, "We'll have it all, please." So, we have a cheese and fruit tray, couple little fruit bowls, and then we have a brownie with I think some like fresh cream on the side. That was a really aggressive bite. I'm so excited. We don't normally eat dessert, so this is an extra treat.

Is it any good? Oh, it's delicious. Tastes dark chocolatey, not too sweet. Mhm. Perfect. Y'all, the cheese is absolutely fantastic. just bursting with flavor. The brownie was delicious. Alison already ate all our fruit, so obviously that was really good. Guys, they put taheen on it and there's lime. Oh, transported back to Mexico. The bread was some of the best bread I've ever had. The butter was delicious. Like everything has just been the best that I've ever had on a plane. That's for sure. On a plane for sure.

Well, before we knew it, night had fallen. We opened the window shade. It was just these beautiful magenta blue tones outside. Yeah. And we saw a lightning storm, which is so cool when you're up above it. But as you can see, they have shut off all the lights. And I guess that means it's bedtime. So, we're going to try to get some sleep, I think. Yeah. I think we have like six and a half hours. Not quite tired yet. Maybe watch a little movie and then hopefully doze off.

Yeah. I reckon if we get 3 or 4 hours of sleep, that could do the trick. I'll call it a win. And so far, my legs don't hurt, my butt doesn't hurt, it's so much more comfortable in every single way. Should I assume the position? Yeah, assume it. Okay. Where does it go? How far down does this thing go? This far down. It's still going. Bye-bye. You're ready for almost backwards.

Well, good morning y'all. How did you sleep? Oh, I don't know. I don't know that I did sleep. Mostly I just rolled around in the chair a lot. I definitely slept an hour or two at least. I mean, I don't know where the time went, but it felt like I was just laying there rolling around thinking the whole time. So, you might be able to lay flat. It might be business class, but still, I can't sleep very well on planes. But anyways, the service here is still on point. The minute he saw I was awake, his eyes lit up and he was like, "Would you like anything?"

Oh, sorry. Thank you. As I was saying that, he brought some orange juice. Pulled out Allison's tray for her. It's very nice. The breakfast is just some bacon and eggs. It looks about typical what you would expect on an airplane, I suppose. Comes with this nice little bowl with some cheese, a pickle, and some meat. And then, of course, the bread basket. You get to choose your bread as you do with every single meal. I'll miss all these free meals. You'll miss this cuz our next flight's going to be back in economy.

Oh, yeah. and flying back to the States. We're in economy again. For some reason, it was very affordable to upgrade this flight. The other one was like $5,000 a person. Enjoy it while it last. Yes. For the next I think we have 55 minutes left. So, the egg is actually pretty delicious. It's got some spinach underneath there. It's nice and fluffy. The bacon is the weakest link. Like, look at that. It's just kind of a pile of meat mush. You can't really fry bacon up in an airplane.

I guess not. But that would be sweet if they could. I mean, it may not look all that appetizing, but at least the flavor is all right. Welcome to the Ryan Mine Airport of Frankfurt, ladies and gentlemen. No good time in Frankfurt. It's 9:35 a.m. Okay, things got a little frantic here. Um, we thought we had all this time to catch our next flight and it turns out we had to go through customs twice and go back through security and we had to go to a different terminal al together. So, we've been running around.

I'm sweating. And of course, now we are at the back of the line. Back of the line for our next flight. We didn't have onward travel booked. So Allison was sitting there scrambling while everyone was lining up to book a ticket so that we can get into Croatia. Sometimes they get a little suspicious if you don't have something booked out of the country that you're in. So, you know, little tips that we forget cuz we don't travel internationally as much anymore. But we got it. We're good. We made it just in time. Man, we were trying to like go find a lounge to sit and chill. We would have missed this flight. Oopsie.

Well, either way, Croatia, here we come. Yeah. No, it is. It's all fine. It's all good. Back to economy. It's going to be great. We have arrived. And y'all, we are barely hanging in there. Oh yeah, we're tired, y'all. It's 6:30 split time, which is where we are in Croatia, by the way. I don't think we ever said that. No, I think we got a little too delirious. But we are in Split, Croatia. And what are we doing here? We didn't say that either. We're going on a dang expedition, y'all, with National Geographic. So, they do these expeditions all over the world. And

they're just starting this route here in Croatia. We are going to see so much and by water, which is one of our favorite ways to explore a country. It's a much smaller ship. It's actually like an expedition style ship. So, it doesn't look like a cruise ship. I think there are only 100 passengers on this. Uh whereas what was the how many people were on the cruise? He went on thousands. Thousands of people. So, it's going to be very intimate, very cool. Lots of architecture, beautiful sightes, delicious food, wine, all the things. But, as you can see, we have given up on life today. We got room service. We're in our pajamas in bed.

Yeah. Watching a movie. We're watching Fight or Flight with Josh Hartnett. So far, can recommend it. It's great. Glad our flight was not like this though. And we're feeling okay actually. But I'm pointing the camera at her because she just looked at me and said, "Man, you look rough." Right before I started this clip. So we You keep feeling like if you guys have never done international travel or just stayed up for 25 plus hours, you get these waves where you're like, "Oh, I feel great." And then all of a sudden you're like, "I'm dead." So currently in the dead zone, but that's okay. It's almost about 8:00 and that's when we're going to go to bed. Got to beat that jet lag, baby.

I know. But that flight was so much fun. The food was so yummy. I mean, we just had a blast. Yeah. Being fancy first class, I mean, business class people. If only they knew this is what I was going to become. They would have been like, "Please go back to economy." Epic start to our European adventures. We'll be at you tomorrow. Okay. Goodbye, adventures. We'll see you on the road.
