We've been to Calgary many times before, but this time we decided to put together a fun kid-oriented itinerary. Now that we have a toddler, we like to plan activities that are suitable for a young family and that we know our daughter will enjoy. So in this video, we'll share five fun places to visit with young children, including a zoo, farms, and a really cool library. Plus, we'll show you where we stayed in the city and what we ate. This is our guide to traveling to Calgary with kids. First we visited "Greenery", located south of Calgary in Foothills County. It is a 36-acre active learning park, playground, and farm. There are themed climbing areas, slides, ziplines, trampolines and even mini-golf. So there is something to keep

the kids busy here. Our daughter is still a little too young for some of the games and large climbing areas, but she really enjoyed seeing the farm animals up close. The goat pen was a real hit with her and her cousin, and we could have spent most of our visit there. In addition to the goats, there were also miniature ponies, geese, chickens, and a pig. For us, the animals were definitely the highlight, and it was so nice to see the little ones enjoying this part of the park together. Let's go, Two. Do you want two people? I didn't really know what to expect. You said we were going to some small farm. I think, well, it's more like a theme park.

I know. So it came as a surprise. This is a very big place. There are a lot of visitors here. I don't know. Is there any special event today? A It's Saturday and we barely got to see everything, but it's been a good experience so far and I think she'll enjoy petting the animals the most. Greetings. So, this is what we're going to do. Are you biting your fork? My God. Well, friends, today is a day on the farm. We are in the "Greenery" south of Calgary and we got all the cousins together for a fun day outdoors. Now we are visiting all the animals. The kids are running around and having a great time. But yes, this is a super cool activity if you have young children.

Is this fun? Look at the goat. Is your cousin feeding the goat This is a pig. This is an animal. Look, it's a pig. I see a pig. Piggy. A real pig. The pig is playing with a ball. Wow. Well, that was really fun. The main event, of course, was when Aurelia saw a piglet for the first time. The piglet is her favorite animal, I do n't know, probably for a year now. She is almost two years old, but she simply adores piglets. And her first complete sentence was: "I see a pig." And so it was. And then she finally saw the piglet. You have to pedal, pedal, pedal, pedal. IN! travel for free, right?

Yes. Hello, little traveler. Okay. So, Sam's lunch order. When we're in Calgary, you want I definitely want, no, I need a house by myself. I don't think Calgary has been declared the capital of Canada itself, but maybe I'll unofficially call it that. When we're here, we like to come home alone. There are so many different options here, and, well, you just have to go to Chinatown, find the restaurant of your choice, and enjoy it as much as possible. That's what we're here for. And Malecha is with us. Oh, this will be your first home alone, little girl. Yes, this is an exciting moment. And we haven't.I don't think I've eaten at home by myself since last year. And that was before she was born. So, a lot of time has passed One of our

favorite places to eat at home in Calgary's Chinatown is You and Me. We've been here a few times, so we ordered a bunch of our favorite dishes. Okay, now that our baby is asleep, we can finally enjoy the house alone. There were. We tried to feed her family ourselves. She wanted something different. Instead, she ate chopsticks. In any case, she is asleep after being lulled to sleep. I'm eating one of my favorite dishes. This is a BBQ pork bun. Takes me back to Hong Kong. Brings me back to Tim Ho Wan. Even before I tried Tim Ho Van as a backpacker. So delicious. Here is such a puff pastry outer layer. And inside is meat, sweet meat, which I

simply adore. This is one of my favorites all this food to the fullest. Time to fill our stomachs. I eat rice with beef in a lotus leaf. The tea is wonderful. So, we need it for digestion. Aha. Yes. Another thing I like here is look at this. Rotating table. Yes. This allows us to easily share food. Perfectly. This is great. I love shrimp. every time we eat dim-sum. I really like ha-gao. I have n't even turned it over for everyone to see yet. And I also like rice rolls with shrimp. I think I ate most of it myself. You know, this is my favorite. So, I want to take

We took a bun with custard. I adore her. This is sweet. Mm. And we, yes, ended up taking six pieces. So, we take advantage of the fact that our child is sleeping. Next, we visited the When we were here last time, our daughter wasn't there yet, so we were completely focused on the architecture. This time we explored the children's library, full of reading nooks, play areas, and tons of books. Aurelia is in her "dinosaur" age now, so she was fascinated by toy dinosaurs. And we also managed to quickly read a few books together between games. So, if you're visiting Calgary with kids, this is a great place to consider, especially if you

need to get away from the elements. There is a place for games, lots of interesting reading material, and even a feeding room for families with babies. Potty time for the chicks. Chickens are going potty. Following. Further. Look at this. We have an avid reader here. Short attention span. We are at the Calgary Central Library and there is a great children's section with age-appropriate books, toys and games. And Ray is so fun. She's probably looked through a dozen books since we've been here. Today is Sunday, so it's a little busier and a little noisier. There are a lot of families here, so you might hear some screaming and crying, but the

kids are having fun, and that's the main thing. So yes, it's a really good place for kids. This is over. We are finished. Take the next one. Tyrannosaurus. Sam, do you know the name of this? Dinosaur. Dad drinks bubble tea. Aha. This is for you. Thanks for letting me take one first. We will change soon. I'm almost done. Another book. Where During our trip to Calgary, we stayed at the Residence by Marriott in the Downtown Beltline area. We chose a studio with a large king-size bed. And the best thing was that breakfast was included in the price. So, here's a tour of

our room. I want to quickly show you where we left off. I booked the Residence Inn by Marriott, on the Beltline, here in Calgary. I chose it because it seemed to me the friendliest for families with children. First, as soon as you enter, you see a wonderful mini- kitchen, so you can cook your own food if you need to, which is very convenient with a toddler. We have a refrigerator. There is a freezer. There is a dishwasher. Here's a small hob, so we can cook something to eat. Microwave, toaster, kettle. Here is the coffee maker. So we are fully equipped with everything we need.

There is also a nice little dining area that can also serve as a small office. There is space for four people here. Next, we have a full living room with a seating area. Again, a convenient big- screen TV. And we have a large king- size bed, which is very comfortable for us, because the baby will sleep in the middle between us. Next, the door leads to the bathroom. Again, a very nice, bright, spacious bathroom, shower, and there is also a small cloakroom where we can leave our luggage. We can, you know, hang clothes, use the shelves, drawers, and everything else. So I am very, very happy with my choice. I think I made a good choice and we will have a great time here.

Another great place to visit with kids is Princess Island Park, located on the Bow River, near downtown Calgary. There are walking paths, picnic areas, and a playground, making it a great place to take a break from sightseeing and let the little ones play. We visited in early fall and the late afternoon light was simply incredible. Everything around had a soft golden glow, and the leaves around them were changing color. People were cycling and walking, others were rafting down the Bo River, and many were just relaxing and enjoying the space. There were even a few food trucks near the Peace Bridge. So we stopped for a quick bite to eat. So, the plan for this afternoon

is to enjoy a sunset walk along the Bo River and visit Princes Island Park. But we got a little hungry and saw a food truck. So we savor poutine. I share with the little one. She really likes gravy and cheese. You.you and the little one are enjoying themselves. Oh, yes. I'm still digesting the dim sum and bubble tea. I'm ready for dinner. You two enjoy yourselves. Yes, it is very, very hot here. OK. Here are our two. We reached Princes Island Park. Time to let her run. Release the kraken. To release energy. After that, it will be ready. Let 's go, girl.

Greetings. Thank you for my vacation. This is wonderful. Nice view of the plane. Another great activity for kids is the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. The zoo is divided into different zones. So for this visit we focused on Wild Canada, Destination Africa, and the Butterfly Garden. Since there is so much to explore, my advice for visiting the zoo with kids is to choose a few of the most interesting areas and leave yourself plenty of time to enjoy them. There is a lot of walking here, so our stroller was simply indispensable. Well

, guys. Today is zoo day with the cousins. We all gathered together. We plan to spend the whole day here, looking at all the animals. They have different ecosystems here, habitats. And right now we've just entered "Wild Canada." So we'll be looking at typical Canadian animals. I'm sure there will be bears, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats. We'll show you, these are goats. Hey, Lucy, want to take a look? Oh, I see a yawn. Oh, toys. Wow. So here we have the paw prints of a polar bear. just put my foot up for scale. Look at this. Wow, so big.

OK. So, we are now entering the Cool, guys. Look, Elijah. I see a giraffe. Look. Wow. Do you see her? I see a giraffe. She is cleaning. Look. Am-am-am-am-am- am-am. He is preening his feathers. Oh, he's climbing up the log. Oho. He is leaving. I want them there. So, it was a very successful visit to the zoo. Yes, it couldn't have been better. We arrived at 10 am. The temperature is almost 30 degrees now. It's already a little after the first. So we were there for almost four hours. We met with both of your sisters. All the cousins came and we saw so many different

animals. As for Aurelia's favorites, they were the penguins at the very end. Oh, yes. When we went inside to cool off a bit, she was thrilled. Her face was shining. You couldn't stop singing to them. So it was such a fun walk. And what I really like about the Calgary Zoo is that it is conservation-oriented. Over the years, I have seen different zoos in different parts of the world, and I can say that Calgary does it well. It's a beautiful environment, a beautiful space for all the animals. And, well, it was a lot of fun. And it was wonderful to watch the emotions of the children, who were completely delighted with all the animals they saw. So, finally, we visited Butterfield Acres, a children's farm on the northwest outskirts of Calgary. This is a

place where little ones can get up close and personal with farm animals: from goats and sheep to rabbits, llamas, and ponies. Are Thank you. Thanks for the straw. Thank you. She finished. She likes it very much. No, don't eat my bag. They chew. They are chewing on my bag. Lama. My pajamas. This llama is not wearing pajamas. Is she leaving? Just stand where it's dry. Well, friends, today is another day on the farm. We are visiting Butterfield Acres again with all the cousins and cousins.

It's like a petting zoo where children can get up close and personal with all the animals. So, goats, piglets, rabbits, we saw ponies. I mean, there's a little bit of everything. The children are delighted, as are we, watching them have fun. So we'll share a little bit of that with you. Aha. Of all the things we did in the Calgary area with the kids, this place was definitely the least touristy, the most interactive, and maybe even the most fun. We visited it on a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded. Another nice thing is that in addition to petting the animals, the kids got pretty dirty here. We all said that as soon as we got home, laundry day would be waiting for us.

Oh yes. There is a lot of dirt here, but I think it was the best experience, especially for Aurelia, who was able to see the animals up close. It was the best experience she had so far. Not just on this trip, but throughout her life. And it was a lot of fun. The pace here is so calm. Oh, now you're leaving. Okay, go to your mom. little goats and piglets were a real highlight. There's something special about watching your little one discover these animals in real life. You can also take a tractor-drawn cart ride to the back pasture, which is what we did. Although our girls slept through that part, it must have been quite exhausting getting to know all these animals. Some practical tips for families. Strollers are allowed, but the trails

are a mix of gravel, grass, and dirt, so sturdy wheels are needed. You can also bring your own snacks or lunch to enjoy in the picnic areas. And this is our guide to Calgary with kids. We hope this video gave you some ideas for things to do in the city. This is definitely not our last visit here.
