The world's shortest woman is Jyoti Amge. Standing at just 2 ft 1 in, Jyoti holds the Guinness World Record for the world's shortest woman. Now, I first became aware of Jyoti just a few weeks back when a video of her appeared on my For You page. And I was like, "Damn, she's short." Even shorter than my pal Jake, and he's really short. So, I did some digging on YouTube, and that's when I came across a plethora of Jyoti videos. To say the least, I was immediately fascinated by this 2 ft 1 in tall woman with her big smile. And that's when I
had some thoughts. Where is Jyoti from? What's her story? And would she be interested in seeing some magic? Well, here is what I know so far. She was born in India in a place called Nagpur in the year of 1993. So, yes, the world's shortest woman is 10 years older than me, but I'm 4 ft taller, so I guess we're even. I don't know. To talk of Jyoti's family life, she lives with her two parents and four sisters. And it was following Amge's 18th birthday on the 16th of December 2011 when she was officially declared the world's shortest living woman by the Guinness World Records. Ah, sorry, I just needed a drink there. That was a mouthful. All right, cheers.
Now that the world's shortest woman was introduced to the world, And as if by overnight, Jyoti was a viral sensation with millions of adoring fans all over the world. Not only the world's shortest woman, but Jyoti is also an actress appearing in series like American Horror Story and Big Boss to name a few. And the most compelling star of all is not is she the world's shortest woman as of right now, but she's actually the shortest woman to ever exist. Now at this point of the video, you're probably thinking two things. Number one, Dan has way too much time on his hands. And number two, when do we get to the point where you meet Jyoti? Well, I was getting to that. I reached out to
Jyoti's team to see if she'd be interested in seeing some magic and to my surprise, she was in. Next thing I knew, I was boarding a train. Traveling from my hometown of Manchester all the way to London to meet the legend herself. I have now arrived in London. Somebody from Jyoti's team has just sent their live location to which we'll be meeting them in a few minutes from now. Guys, this whole thing honestly couldn't have worked out better because Jyoti is actually from India. It turned out that today she was in London doing a trip. So, it's all worked out perfectly. Taxi.
Okay, good news. I'm moments away from meeting Jyoti. To be honest, I feel like every single video I've seen with Jyoti is heavily predicated on her height. And obviously that makes complete sense. I mean, after all, she is indeed the world's smallest woman. But I don't want to make it all about that. My goal today is to simply show Jyoti some magic, give her a good time, and who knows if everything goes swimmingly, I could end up becoming friends with the world's shortest woman. Do you think that's a possibility? No, mate. You have no faith in me. It had all come down to this. I was super nervous. What if Jyoti didn't like me? Or even worse, the magic. But before I knew it. Hi Jyoti, nice to meet you. I'm Dan. Today
Jyoti, I'm going to be showing you some magic. Have you ever seen magic before? No, you haven't. Yes. I guess you have. Fair enough. Easy crowd. Thank you very much. I have here a Rubik's Cube. All you've got to do, take the cube and you just go like that. At first, Jyoti seemed a little suspicious, but maybe this card trick would win her over. Okay, Jyoti, I'm going to give the card a shuffle like this. And could you do me a favor? Just pick any card you want. Just pick one. Cool. Okay, show the camera. Could you sign your name on the card? So, we have Jyoti's six of diamonds. I'll put it in your hand. Put your hand on top. Cool.
I'll use the next card, the 10 of diamonds. I'm going to write my name on this card. Uh we're going to put Dan, d a n. Dan, that's my name. Dan, you'll remember that one. Watch the 10 of diamonds. All I'm going to do, Jyoti, is I'm going to tap it. And I now have your card. So, if I've got your card, what's in your hand? I'm going to put the six in the middle. We'll shuffle. And that should be uh Jyoti's six of diamonds. Thank you. I'm even getting a round of applause from the audience. Thank you. Can I borrow one of your rings for just a moment? Cool. Okay, here's what I'll do. This is Jyoti's ring. For how long have you had this ring?
10 years. So, it's an old ring. So, here's what I'll do. I'll take your ring, Jyoti. I'm going to pass it to you, but before I do, look inside of my pocket, inside of my wallet. So, your ring is uh your ring is now gone. You can hold on to that. It was really nice to meet you guys. I'll see you I'm I'm joking. I wouldn't do that to you. Look, Jyoti, I've actually got a gift for you cuz this is our first time meeting. Inside of my wallet, inside the zipper compartment, undo it for me. Inside of an envelope. Now, Jyoti, before you open this envelope, make sure it's closed. Open the envelope for me, Jyoti.
Yes, is that your ring? And the best part is because we're friends, I'm going to let you keep that ring. Did you like that? Yeah. Yeah, no problem. There we go. What is this? It's tape. Perfect. Okay, look, I'm going to take the tape. I'm going to wrap it around my fingers like this. Do want to go ahead? Go ahead. Make sure I'm tied up. One more for safety. I'll make sure I'm nicely tied up. All right, watch this. Jyoti, could you make sure there's no way that I can escape? Is that pretty tight? Yeah, tight. Now, we'll try this. Could you pass me a chair? Awesome.
Bring it over. Cool. All right, Jyoti, watch this very carefully. I'm going to do this on the count of three. Three, two, and if we just do that, I actually go through the chair. My fingers go straight through. Do you see that? Now, don't worry. I am a professional, so I will escape. Watch this. technical difficulties. Tell you what, I have brought something I'll be able to cut myself out just in case this went wrong. So, I'll try and Oh, no. Okay. All right. Uh Okay, Jyoti, believe it or not, this puzzle right here is impossible. You don't like you believe me. Look a little skeptical. Okay, I'll tell you why this puzzle is impossible. If I take my finger and knock this puzzle over, that
action right there, Jyoti, is literally impossible. Just try and knock it over for me. Go ahead. Try again. You see, if you notice, the more you try, Wait. See if it stands up. That would be a miracle in itself. Wait. Wait. I think Jyoti is a magician. It's just landing in her direction. I'm not too sure how I actually knocked it over. It just sort of happened. Call the word stop. Remember this card. Don't show me, and then show the camera. All right, place it back. I promise I didn't look. She's got me. She's sharp at that. It was crazy how big Jyoti made the cards look because she also has the record for
the world's shortest hands. I place it back. Now, remember that card, and I'm going to have you pick another card. Call the word stop. Again. Stop. Jack of diamonds. Jyoti, once again, I want you to sign your name on this card. I'll hold it for you. Teamwork makes the dream work. I'll take the Jack. I'll put it in the middle. Put out your hand. I'll take the eight of spades. Now, Jyoti, this is very important. Tap the pen on the card and say the word change and it will change into your card.
Is that your card, yeah? Tap the card again and say the word change. You see, this time I didn't change the card. I changed the pen. Take the lid off. Open it. Is that your card? Eight of diamonds. There we go. The world's shortest woman is impressed. And if you are impressed as well, then like this video right now. I have brought you the world's shortest woman. What more could you want from me? So, like the video now and enjoy what is next. All right, Jyoti, so I never come empty-handed. I've actually brought you a little bit of a gift. On my neck, I
have a chain and this is a coin with two holes going through the coin. Cool. I'll take the coin. And if I get it at the right angle, What did she say? It's not on the chain. Yeah. There we go. Have a look at it. That's my gift for you. Can I put it on? It's a bit big, but there we go. That's my gift. You can keep that as a little souvenir. We have an orange juice and we have a small glass. Now, watch this very closely. We'll take the orange juice. You see, the large glass actually fits into the small glass. Do you like orange juice?
No. Well, my people, I vocalized the point that I wanted to make the world's shortest woman's day by showing her some magic. But, truth be told, she's actually the person who made my day with her big smile and fantastic energy. It really has been a pleasure performing for the world's shortest woman. My hope now is that through the universal language of magic, a short friendship has hopefully been made. And I don't mean short as in because of a height, I mean in which the time we spent together was short. Not to get confused with Anyways, world's shortest woman, I'm just going to call you Jyoti from now on.
Your life will get 200,000 times better if you tap the video on the screen right now. I don't make the rules, I just follow them.
