Every night, Jim Kramer has managed to stand before a camera and be wrong on 99.9% of his market predictions. Every night, he is wrong. What the hell is he hiding? What dark supernatural powers grant him foresight so diametrically incorrect to reality, it can be used to see into the future? Anyways, here's some tech news. Microsoft Paint has an unintended new feature, a serious vulnerability that could allow remote code execution without any user interaction. And while Microsoft issued a patch, auto updates may not be delivering it. Paint may not be good at supporting vector graphics, but it apparently is good as an attack vector with the exploit being rated an 8.1 out of 10. Thankfully, Microsoft
says you need to be at least a level 90 sweaty hacker dude to actually pull this off. And no known attacks so far have actually used this bug. But in theory, it could let attackers hack a PC through a network without needing a password, an account, or a gullible click happy user to deceive. Now, a patch was released already, not through Windows Update, but through the Microsoft Store in October. However, CISA admins on Reddit and a new report from Windows latest found the store isn't actually offering it even with auto updates on. So, check Paint's version in settings against the one on screen. And prepare for even more bugs
like this to surface as OpenAI just announced the release of the new GPT6 cyber model, which is vetted for security researchers. They say it already flagged 948 potential Linux kernel issues. And at this rate, AI will find bugs faster than Microsoft can write them. Meta, Google, and Tik Tok have all sued California to block a law set to ban addictive social media features for teens because of course they would. I'm not sure why we thought they would just take it. We've seen how these people drink water. The bill AB1709 passed the state legislature without a single no vote and is supposed to take effect on January 1st. The law specifically targets addictive platform features like autoplay and personalized feeds for any users under the age of 16.
If platforms don't give up those features, they instead have to delete the underage accounts or face fines up to $50,000 per kid. That's a lot of money. Obviously, these companies aren't fans of the legislation, and their well-funded lawyers are now arguing that actually, based on a 2024 Supreme Court case, how platforms curate and rank posts can potentially count as protected editorial speech. Do they have to autoplay the videos, though? Is that that's part of my speech? Though, courts haven't settled whether that covers addictive personalized feeds. A Tik Tok spokesperson, however, specifically stated that the bill is a blatantly unconstitutional restriction on free
expression. You know what else is a blatantly unconstitutional restriction on free expression? Dentists putting their whole hand in your mouth and then asking how your weekend is. What have I split? What do you want me to How is trick-or-treating? What do you I don't know if you've noticed, but the development of Switch 2 emulators has exploded in the two weeks since the conso's first jailbreak was found. Within one week, new emulators were capable of booting Switch 2 exclusives like Mario Kart World, and progress has only accelerated thanks to AI coding tools and similarities in hardware and software between the first and second
Switches. Things have gone so fast that the Ocarina of Time remake was working on PC before the game even launched on the console itself yesterday. It's running on an emulator called Liy and by the time this video comes out, probably a million other forks of that and other emulators. An initial performance was a bit rough with frame rates bouncing between 15 and 30 FPS, but updates and even more forks have the game now running pretty smoothly in certain areas. Videos have popped up showing it working on a variety of hardware from RTX 3070 and 4070s to AMD's RX960. There are now so many new emulator forks being made with AI assistants that people are setting up AI agents to monitor fork
tracker pages and integrate new fixes into their own forks. It's full-on emulation psychosis out there. And if that wasn't enough, there are already reports that the remake is running on a jailbroken PS5 and a Mac, too, that we just saw before we started filming. What is this? A cutlery drawer? That's a whole lot of forks. I can only imagine Nintendo seeing all this happen is just losing their minds thinking about all the paperwork they'll have to do when they sue so many people's asses. Me, I'm thinking you should learn about our sponsor. Jawa, if there's one thing this good Midwestern gal loves, it's a good deal. Don't you know? Well, butter my biscuit. Do I have a deal for you? can trust them because they've correctly predicted nine of the last five recessions just like Michael Bur. The enough phone is hoping there's still a market for small smartphones. There is. It's me. The compact phone just launched a Kickstarter. It's roughly the size of an iPhone 13 mini, packs mid-range specs, a removable battery, and a choice between standard Android and the more minimal Odyssey OS starring Matt Damon. The cheapest you could get the phone was $400, but I think that super early bird reward tier sold out. And as of recording, the Kickstarter is a bit more than halfway to its goal. Looks like it's time to once again ask that age-old
question, does size really matter? AMD just had its biggest quarter ever, and gamers, yeah, you guys weren't really the reason for it. Uh AMD's revenue hit a record 13.4 billion due to data center sales nearly doubling versus the same quarter last year. While AMD's PC and gaming chips as a whole were down only 8% year-over-year, the gaming part, which includes console chips and Radeon graphics cards, dropped over 40%. And it's all your fault. Not because things are way more expensive. AMD even made a bold claim that they expect their Q4 revenue to reach around 17 billion, which would put them ahead of Intel for the first time in history. Something that Intel might deem a learning opportunity, which is CORPORATE LINGO
FOR NO, THAT'S NOT FREAKING FAIR, MAN. OW. WHY? This sucks, dude. Six pallets of Nvidia hardware worth about $1.4 million vanished while being shipped from Oakland to Texas. Now, the thieves reportedly used a truck posing as a legitimate transport company before disappearing off the radar. And who's to say they weren't abducted by aliens? I feel like we don't ask that question as often as we used to. Disappeared off the radar. Anyway, this apparent heist follows the theft of some RTX 5090 pallets in Brazil. So stealing Nvidia stuff is a bit of a fad right now. The California robbers were reportedly posing as the real food transportation company that was responsible for moving
the hardware. Which begs the question, why was Nvidia moving their hardware with a food transportation company? Is Sam Oldman actually eating all the RAM? Is that why he wants it? He's hungry. Get him a snack. Somebody help. Say, speaking of hunger, Wendy's is serving up an unexpectedly ambitious 15-hour RPG called Wendy Quest, where players battle bosses to unlock realworld food rewards like free burgers, fries, nuggies, and of course, Frosties. I think we're finally going to find out where the beef is. Players redeem their reward codes in the Wendy's app, and the game is free on Steam and mobile. People are shocked by
how competently made this game looks, but I'm not. After all, Wendy's is always saying quality is our recipe. I bet Dave Thomas would love this RPG. And Tesla will be winding down Cyber Truck production at its Texas Gigafactory around mid 2027. Elon took to Twitter to share the news, explaining it's to make room for more Cyber Cavs. But as some outlets point out, the Cybert trucks only selling at about a quarter of the line's capacity. Tesla built that line for 250,000 trucks a year and has sold an estimated 70,000 total since starting deliveries in late 2023. We'd like to take a few seconds to send off the Cybert truck with Dishonor. Please keep talking during this moment.
Come back Monday for more tech news and try not to cry that it's over. Hate that it actually ever happened in the first place. Oh, okay. And remember kids, don't listen to Jim Kramer for Okay, I can't wait this. We can't give financial advice.
