At this point, to deny Israel committing war crimes is like denying the law of gravity. The citizen army, which is a representative sample of Israeli Jewish society, is committing a genocide. special representative for sexual violence in conflict. That's the technical title. And she lent credibility to the claim that Hamas had committed rape and sexual violence on October 7th. In fact, if you look closely at the evidence, there is no material evidence that Hamas had committed rape and other forms of sexual violence. She eventually effectively became an instrument of Israeli propaganda used to justify the genocide. I think that Israel is among the most polled populations on God's Earth. And so, they're constantly polled on everything. And there was a standard question was probably around every 2 weeks in Israel. Namely, the question
was very simple. Do you think Israel has used too much force in Gaza? among Israeli Jews, roughly 5% consistently said too much force. 95% said the right amount of force or too little force. Of those 95%, 40% said too little force. There was another poll taken later. The question was are there any innocents in Gaza? 64% of all Israelis said no. I do have a problem with the people who executed the genocide. Israel has a citizen army. The citizen army which is a representative sample of Israeli Jewish society is committing a genocide. This is a national project. It's the whole nation that's implicated in that genocide. And speaking as a person of Jewish descent, no Jew would ever have said about the Nazi regime,
our quarrel is only with the government. My parents, I don't praise it, but I also don't condemn it. They loathed every German. They hated Germans. I never denied them. I didn't agree with them, but I never denied them that right to hate all Germans. And it's also for the victims of what has unfolded. It's actually a very distasteful statement because it's it's as if to say you are anti-Semitic if you feel any animus towards the people who destroyed 97% of your schools. People tell me the biggest shift was because of Tik Tok. Just those images emanating from Gaza what Israel was doing that seemed to have had a huge impact I'm told. So the public opinion has shifted and it's shifted in ways which you have to say are kind of
astonishing. About the poll showed that between 30 and 40% of American Jews believe that Israel committed a genocide in Gaza. Shifts in public opinion are an important step. You have to turn that public opinion into a political force. So in order to defeat that concentrated power you have to organize. Your constituency was sufficiently organized that Ed Miliband whatever his personal sentiments and I can't read his heart he felt the need to adjust. The primary importance of his statement was he said that the UK is aligning itself with international law henceforth under this government. International law is going
to be our policy. However, he went on to say if the ICJ the International Court of Justice if it finds that Israel committed genocide we will support that decision and we will demand accountability. Well, that was a surprise. No Western government to my knowledge has even come close to saying that Israel committed genocide. That Ed Miliband in his speech he described the conditions in Gaza as of now right now. He described it and I hope I'm being exact I think I am. He described the conditions as atrocious. He described the conditions as horrific. He described the conditions as unspeakable and force the law. That's it.
