You know, I'm watching a movie, it starts with this political ad, and, listen, it works. I watch this movie and think: I don't know if he was thinking about a real political career, but I believe him. Have you ever considered running for office? Oh, no, no. I really wanted to start the film in a way that made the commercial look as realistic as possible. Not like a Hollywood production, but as if you're sitting on YouTube, and suddenly there's another political video. I felt like starting the movie with that would set the right tone, and it turned out to be a lot of fun because I was running around the city, pretending to be running for mayor, meeting people and shaking hands. It was great because a lot of people said, "Oh,

of course, I'll vote for you." And I thought, " This is just incredible I really think that if you decided to get involved in this, you would succeed. You would have succeeded. Well, of course, there was a time, I remember, when people would ask, "Well, why do you consider yourself qualified to be mayor?" It seems like no one is asking this question anymore. No, you would be fine. It's like: do you want to perform in the circus? Come in.

Can you juggle? We take everyone. But this movie is really similar to the movies I grew up watching in the 90s, kind of adult thrillers. What did you watch or what inspired you while working on this film? You know, I usually have pretty specific sources of influence. I definitely wanted to achieve a truly " cinematic" look. In fact, I transferred the film to film and then back to create this effect. What is the 90s for you is the 70s for me. I remember these great movies from the '70s that were, you know, so much more complicated, you know? But at the same time, the film had to remain modern and sharp, and the viewer had to be in constant tension. I think the most important thing is

to keep the viewer hooked, like a fishing line, it has to be taut. You know, you can't let it sag. You just lose them, you know, and I need to stay connected to the audience. I hope that if we keep the tension up, the viewer won't be able to stop. We want to know what will happen next, then there is a chance to uncover interesting topics: are we truly moral people, or are we simply looking after our own interests, justifying it. We all live in a kind of show world now. We speak out on Instagram, or if you're a politician, you broadcast it to the world, and a lot of that is about marriage. This is a deep and dark story about what happens if you really tell that person everything about yourself? Things you don't like, things you worry about, or maybe you're

ashamed of. Is it possible to build such a marriage? It has to feel real, so I had great partners like Carrie, Stephen, Diana and Louis who helped me write the film, and I said, "Listen, we have to be brave. This has to be a movie that breaks the rules. You watch this movie and think, "Oh, I didn't expect them to say that." "I never thought that something like that could be shown in a film." You know, you have to do everything to make the viewer feel: "Okay, I recognize the truth in this, not a cinematic version of life." But at the same time, it should be dynamic, exciting, and urgent. So I'm proud of this film.

I love him. I can't wait for people to see it. Yes, I like him. He is very good. By the way, about sincerity: you said that the children are very frank with you. Why are they still making fun of you now? Today they made fun of me: " Why did you say it was me?" Who said that about.I replied: "No, I didn't say that, how old I am." "Do you know how many children you have that age?" I replied, "I can't win. I have to ask. but they were right about that. But I'm like, "Well, that was funny." I meant you're actually funny.

You know, it's like when someone makes fun of you, but it's so witty that you're even proud. You think: "Yes, they tricked me, but how aptly." "It's funny, you know." Okay, yes. I even want to give him a high five for that. Yes, I like it. I mean, the joy of life is being around children as they grow, watching them change and become adults. This is incredible.
