Get ready to defend your favorite K-pop songs. Today we're ranking some of the biggest K-pop songs of all time. Finding out if artists are iconic or deeply offensive. I have a lot of opinions. I know a lot about K-pop. Chinese was my intro to K-pop for those who know K-pop. Oh, that song. Oh, song. That's a band. Queen band. Before I get your review and your tier list, if you had to show one K-pop song to someone who's never heard of K-pop before, what would you choose? What would be the gateway drug? Lucifer by Shinyu Lucifer. I actually don't know Korean, by the way. I just hear songs so often I can phonetically sound like I speak. That's crazy. You know what? If you get the cadence, like, you're good.

Like I can't see myself being at a club and they play it and then I'm not like jump into it. Also, I feel like K-pop is very visual like that. One of my least favorite. God's with you. One of your least favorites. But the thing is, see E hey for me straight has one of their best songs. Maniac that was fun though. I like that. What's the rope review? I would give that one a four out of five because I had fun and they're fun to watch. God's Menu is the one of their first like bigger songs. So I have to give it Flower. So for sure out of five. Three out of five. Three out of five cuz it's just not it's in terms of straight. It's not on my playlist. If it's on, I'm excited and I'm happy, but I'm not the one putting it on. That was fun. I give it a fun.
I'm happy with A. I totally God's Menu is a great song. I'm fine with A. Okay. City. I love her. S tier. Right. It's always The visuals are so good. They're so good. They ate cooked up. I hope they spend more millions because it's so good on the eye. She's she was my favorite from Blackpink. Well, cuz the d she's like one of the best dancer. She's the main dancer of the group. Yeah. And she's the rapper, right, of uh the group, dude. Lisa, I could stare at on mute, bro. I could put it with and it just elevates it with the music.

That man know That man knows how to rap. He knows how to produce. This is a great song. It gets me hype. I still produced it.

Is it surprising that this one's so big? The dance is fun and cute. So it's that's not that shocking because if the thing is a big part of K-pop culture as well is dance covers. So the song may not be that great but if the dance is really fun game over. It's going to be every cuz it's like gnarly with like cat's eye. Right. One more time. So where does this lie on the list here?
Um I'm I You want to do D and put something? Yeah. Oh. So now that you've heard a few of these songs, what do you think K-pop does better than American pop? Visuals. dancing like we don't have a lot I feel like American culture like back in the day like in the '9s it was very dance heavily influenced but now we've lost that but K-pop kind of has all that I feel like America is really good with individualistic things and having an individual taste and sound and body of work and blah while K-pop is still similar to that I guess the culture of Korea it's good with community so like they're good at building fan bases and catering
to those fan bases and making those fan bases care about stuff and making you feel like you care about. Like it's so much better at that. Oh my god. Growl. You was kicked it back, girl. Junior, but like that was one of the songs that brought me back to K-pop. So, I have to give her flowers as well. Four out of five. I don't listen to her as much anymore, but like Miss Your Mama. You want to put that at high B? I was going to go A low key. I'm happy with B as well. Hi, B. Okay. Hi, B. drama scenario ego I LOVE THIS [screaming] SONG. Fun fact for you, this song got so insanely catchy that Korean elementary schools banned the song because students couldn't stop singing it.
They don't have this song in most karaoke spots anymore. Really? I know. Because when I was in Korea, I looked for it because it's one of the only Korean songs I can fully sing. And they and it was banned. Is this like the freeird of K-pop? It's there's the two of my favorite Korean songs is Love Scenario and Ring Dingdong by Shine. And I can't find them. I couldn't find them in anywhere. There's a span of time where they have to study for like really important tests and they like there's there's a list of songs that are banned because it's just no one's going to get any.
Kids don't have that. We do have a few actually like Free Bird. it like in Guitar Center. You're not allowed to play Freeird on guitar. So here's the problem with this song. The visuals, the performance, the fashion, the lore, the choreography, the fan culture, all of it. Yes. But what's the, if you had to pick one, what's the core, the root of it? What I think makes it important is the fan culture. cuz like it's a very different experience talking about music you like with non-Kpop people and K-pop people and I think it really separates it. I saw it and then this is what happened. You said one of your eyes glazed and started going the other direction.
