He invited me down to see him shoot the movie or the video, rock my world. And when you go see him, man, you pull in covered tents and stuff, you just pull your whole car in it. So come in there and he got this trailer. He travels with these trailers that he make up and he had so much money he loved like Disney and kids stuff. And that's the only thing usually trip me out about him.
You 50, what the hell are we doing? What is, so I walked in his trailer, he said, have a seat. And you know, he always talked like he was whispering. That's the other thing that was a big difference between me and Mike. I'm Mike, what's up man? Hey Steve, how you doing? You know when he left? And so we sitting there, he said, grab a seat, grab a seat. And I'm sitting down. I went, wow. Because everything he got was made for his kids and stuff like toys. So he had a phototop table in the trailer, but the chairs was mushroom caps.
You five. That's cool. You grown man, about two 40. You sat down on that mushroom cap, you know, about four, five minutes in this mushroom cap. Starting to work his way now. Now I'm sitting over here, I'm going, this is the most uncomfortable seat. And I don't know what he was doing. And was sitting up there. And then these kids ran by this, this boy and this girl. And the kids was dressed like, so I thought, you know, they were shooting a video or something. Little boy had on a purple jumpsuit with some lace and them pilgrim shoes with the buckles on it.
The little girl had one of them hoop skirts on. So Mike come up, I said, Mike, who? The little white kids keep running through your table? He said, white kids, where they came out the back. I say, daddy, go right there. He said, those are my kids. Hey man. You know, for your Michael Jackson jokes and moves, man used to hang with him all the time. I, I gotta ask you, man, how'd you and Mike become friends in the first place?
- I did this joke, the one you talking about on Def Jam, Michael Jackson on Crack. And somebody had told me that was one of Michael's favorite jokes. Yeah, he had a healthy sense of humor by himself, you know? Yeah. So I had wrote the script and Michael was interested in the script. So he had flown us out to Florida and this was like a hotel. And I done stayed in foes when I got there. You understand me When I got there, Michael got of money. He bought out 20 floors of the hotel, so you couldn't find out where he was. So when security took us in there, Michael opened the door.
He had a piece of tape on his nose. I looked at the tape, I'm like, Hey man, what's that on your nose? He ain't even flinch. He's like, I got allergies, man. Come on in. So one of the most brilliant human beings haven't met the he make you wanna fight people for him. Yeah. You know what I mean? Because he was just love his, his whole persona is just love when you are around him. It's like you just feel love. It's like this is an angelic energy. Yeah. But yeah, he was a cool dude, man. And I went to court with him when he got all them problems, you know, because he was looking for friends at the time.
He was like, Eddie, nobody would go to court with me, you know? And it is, it's unjust on so forth, you know? I was like, man, all right. My grandfather's voice played in my head.
