All right, let's check in with Chloe Carlson for your next weather. Chloe, what are we looking at for today? Hey, well, good morning, Amanda and Rachel. Good conditions for today. It's going to be a gorgeous day. We got a little bit of a cloudy start for us, and then that sunshine coming on a little bit later this morning. So, a little bit cloud cover, but not too long. We got sunshine if you want to head to the beach today. Next 4 hours for Irvine, we are looking to be in the 60s this morning, mid-60s, 70s as you get into the 11:00 hour. Now, I'm talking about that cloud cover, so let's take a live look outside because it's a gorgeous view of downtown Los Angeles this morning. What a beautiful city that we

live in. Is that right? Morning clouds this morning, how long are they sticking around? Well, let me show you. I'll bring up this map here showing you the future cloud cast for our cloud cover this morning, and you'll notice [clears throat] not really a deep marine layer, not really spreading that far inland. You'll notice over portions of LA County into Orange County, but you'll notice take a look at that timestamp at the bottom of your screen. By the 11:00 hour, most of Southern California looking pretty clear. So, I know a lot of times, I think it was last weekend, the clouds were sticking around our coastal cities for most of the day, not the case today. We'll see that sunshine as you get into late morning. So, good for

those activities outside because it'll be warm, but not as hot as we have been seeing. So, great for your outdoor activities today. So, go out and enjoy all that beautiful Southern California sunshine. So, I want to bring in this and show you another thing that we are going to be seeing today are those cooler conditions, right? So, we got marine layer back, cooler conditions, gusty winds. I'll get to the winds in a moment, me just show you what we're seeing as far as highs. As we look inland Santa Clarita, you'll get to the 80s today, but for portions of Ventura County, Simi Valley, looking 77 for the high today, low 70s along the coast side, 67 for the high in Malibu. Now, follow me south here, 74 for the high in

Long Beach today, 79 there in Glendora, 80s for the IE in Ontario. Ontario will be in the low 70s here in Orange County. So, I about why we're seeing those cooler conditions, so let me bring up this uh map here just to show you what's happening in our upper atmosphere. We have this low pressure system to the north of us bringing rain to the Pacific Northwest. It's going to stick around through most of next week, so those cooler conditions, cooler, uh are going to be sticking around through most of next week. Now, the final storyline for us is going to be those winds. We're seeing some gusty winds this morning. We'll pick up as it gets to this afternoon. So, I want to bring in one more map here and just show you a couple of things that we're

watching. A red flag warning, this is going to be for portions of Kern County up into our high desert communities. So, uh this is going to go through this evening. Why we have gusty winds on top of that, low relative humidity for places like Kern County, less than 35%. Now, Justin, zoom in here for me and show me for places like Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley. This is near Joshua Tree. We're seeing that relative humidity down to less than 10%. So, that's a concern. As you look here, too, Justin zooming in, thank you so much. We're also seeing San Gorgonio Pass. We do have a wind advisory for that area. So, if you are in the Inland Empire, Riverside County, traveling the San Gorgonio Pass, it's one of those usual

suspects. Traveling the 10 there, we see those gusty winds. So, I want to give you a closer look at that and just show you what we're seeing as far as those winds. That future cast here, you'll notice uh light conditions for us here along the coastline. As you look to our desert communities, though, as it gets to this afternoon, wind gusts 30, 40 mph, even some areas, isolated areas, getting up to 50 mph. So, that's why that wind advisory is in place today. Next 7 days for the LA/OC metro area, you'll notice we're in the 70s this weekend, staying in the 70s through next week. For those of you in the valleys, you're going to be in the 70s this weekend, back to 80s come Monday, high

70s through the middle of our work week next week. And then for those of you in the Inland Empire, low 80s today. We're going to be staying in the low 80s through most of next week, high 80s and some sunshine by next Friday. Amanda, Rachel, sending it back to you.
