My friends, welcome to this episode of outdoor gear reviews. I hope you are well. The other day I noticed that Fire-Maple had released a brand new cooking system designed for those who simply love to cook while camping. This is the Vulcan Dual Blaze multi-fuel camping pan. And again, it's from Fire-Maple. Here is a bag to store this burner. And I'll tell you what, let's open it up for a second. Let me show you all what this burner is. This storage bag has two handles so you can easily carry it with you. You have a two-way zipper that allows you to open it completely. On this side you have a mesh pocket for storage. And here you have a
fuel storage compartment for fuel. Then you have this mesh compartment to store the additional components that come with the kit. The first component is the burner itself. Here we have a propane adapter. Here we have a hook for hanging. Here we have a triangular pallet. And a rectangular pallet. And here are three legs that allow you to install this stove at a raised level. As you can see, three legs fit inside this cover, which looks more like a series of sleeves. Again, you have three of them. Each of these legs can be adjusted to four sections. And there Let's take them all to level four. This will be the highest level.
Now let's attach them to the stove using the legs. They slide into place and also lock in place. Once you have secured the legs, you can install the triangular tray in place. From there, my friends, you can attach a rectangular tray to the side. And you can put it on almost any side you want. These two hooks actually hook onto the leg system, locking it in place. It is important to know that you can place the pallet, as well as the fuel can holder, anywhere. Also, you don't have to use this if you don't want to, and I'll explain why in a moment. Right now I have a tray on the side, a rectangular tray in the middle, and a hanging hook here on the side. What you see here are two controls for this stove and two igniters. This is because
in this stove we have two heat sources, two valves, two igniters. They are composed like this. Enabled. Disabled. One lighter. Lighter two. Looking at the top of the stove, we have a built-in windscreen. Pot racks one, two, three and four. They are designed for larger pots and pans. As you can see here, here and there, we have smaller pot stands for smaller pots, kettles, etc. Interestingly, we have four preheat tubes, and then we have the main burner head in the center and the secondary ring on the outside. This lighter right here will light the head. This one here will light the outer ring. This stove is designed to
work on isobutane, but it comes with a propane adapter. And for this boiling test, we'll use propane. I'm really curious to see how quickly this stove will boil water. And this is thanks to the declared BTU power. And we'll talk about that a little later. Now let's boil the water. It took 4 minutes and 27 seconds to boil two glasses of water. Overall, this result is not bad. Overall, I can't say I'm impressed with this result, because when it comes to the claimed BTU output of this stove, you would expect it to be much faster. Ultimately, maximum boiling time doesn't really matter much, not in the real world. But again,
going back to what the company claims in terms of BTU power, I expected much more. By the way, the company claims that when the fuel canister is standing upright, it will produce 20,500 BTUs. With the gas canister inverted, this figure reaches 51,000 BTU. I don't know if this number refers to isobutane or propane. I understand what you're thinking. The problem is that I didn't turn the gas can upside down. Well, it takes 5 minutes for the preheat tubes to warm up before you can actually flip the gas can. It didn't even take 5 minutes for the water to boil. With that said, there's no point in running the stove for 5 minutes, then flipping it over, and then turning on the water, because you would n't do that in the real world, and I'm not going to
do that in this test. We used stoves with lower BTU power, which showed better results in terms of maximum boiling time. And again, friends, boil time doesn't really matter much, but I expected more even from 20,500 BTUs. Here's what I'll tell you, let's continue with the statistics on this stove. The body of the oven itself, which can be used with these legs or alone on a table, is 6.1 inches tall and 13.6 inches wide. The legs are fully adjustable from 22 to 32 inches. The maximum width when unfolded is 13.8 inches and the height is 32 inches. As for the folded dimensions, they are 16 inches wide, 14 inches deep, and the storage bag is 8 inches tall. As for materials, they
combine stainless steel, aluminum, copper, silicone, rubber, ceramics, and ABS plastic. The load capacity of the stove is 44 pounds, and the weight of the stove itself with legs is 11 pounds. As for the price, at the time of filming the retail price was 250, on Amazon it was 225. And now, friends, let's talk about my impressions of the stove. In terms of quality, everything looks great here. This is a very well made oven. Everything is made perfectly. There are no problems. The design, finish, and equipment are all very impressive. As for the setup, it is very, very simple. As for fuel versatility, it is very impressive. Isobutane, propane, and if you want, you can even use butane. However, you will have to purchase your own
butane adapter. As for fuel, you can maintain it on this stove in any way that is convenient for you. The hose is long enough so that you can place your gas cylinder on the triangular platform below. But let 's say you use isobutane. You can use this hook on the side to support your gas cylinder. You can hang it on him. Or at the bottom of the stove you can flip the cylinder over and slide it into place, which is really cool. Thanks to the valves, the resistance is sufficient to feel a quality product. Not too tight, not too loose. Also, the igniters seem to work very well. The overall performance of this oven is good, but nothing special. This is not an extremely powerful oven. On paper it sounds very good, but in practice it is not.
However, it will undoubtedly do its job. One thing I'm interested in is using this on multiple trips, especially when it's windy, even windier than it is now, although it's a bit windy today. We have a built-in windscreen and I'm curious to see how well it will work on a few trips. As for the preheat tubes, that's a nice feature, but the problem is that you have to run this stove for 5 minutes before it gets hot enough for you to invert the fuel. 5 minutes is a very long time. It should be noted that preheating tubes do not replace a good old-fashioned regulator. The regulator will give you a consistent level of performance from the start, and it doesn't matter if it's cold or you're running out of fuel.
Again, preheating tubes are good. Of course, there is a time and place when this makes sense. If you are cooking something that requires high heat, then you may need to flip the fuel can and get more output. But again, you'll have to work for 5 minutes before you can do it. The plate itself is strong enough, right? You won't have any problems with falling or anything like that. The trays well support not only cups, pans, pots, but also fuel cans. As for the pot holders, we again have two sets: an outer layer and an inner layer.
This will give you huge versatility in terms of the size of cookware you use. Pots, cups, frying pans, kettles, frying pans, etc. I should point out to everyone that the overall height of this slab is good. This is enough for most people. You won't have to slouch and cook low. It's tall enough for you to stand here and stir. In other words, you don't have to worry about hurting your back while using it. The storage bag is a good size and good quality. Speaking of quality, when you receive this stove, it will be one of the best packaged products you have ever seen. Premium unboxing, unlike anything I've ever seen before. Everything is well protected. She is super- super beautiful. And it should be,
considering the price. The retail price is $250. And for such a stove, in my opinion, this is fair. This is significantly cheaper than similar plates. You can very easily spend a lot of money on these types of stoves. ? Well, that's up to you. As for me, no, because that's not my style when I go hiking. When I go camping, I don't want to cook much. I do all this at home every day, every night. When I go hiking, I want everything to be very, very simple. But that's my style. Your style may be different. When you go camping, you may want to do a lot of cooking. And if so, then this is a serious oven that can offer you a lot of versatile possibilities. With that being said, this is just a preview.
I've done one boiling test, and I definitely need to do a few more tests, which I plan to do over the next three to four months. You will see this stove on several of my upcoming truck camping adventures in the future. So stay tuned for updates. These are my thoughts, everyone. Be sure to comment below and share your thoughts. What do you think about this stove system? Is it worth $250 to you Speak up in the comments. But this is a typo.
