Now at this hour as we take a live look outside from our camera at the Wararf. Now that the storms are gone though, the question is how's the rest of the week looking? Meteorologist Mike Thomas tracking it for us. Are we out of this? Yeah, we're out of this and much better conditions as we work our way into the second half of the week. So today and we warned you, you know, starting on Monday that today was the day and once we get beyond this afternoon, things are going to be much better. a live look out across the area where things have a quieter look with all these rain showers and thunderstorms moving out of town.
Now, I've rewound the radar here 12 hours and we'll take you through uh that loop here showing you that was when the storms went through. I'll let it play through one more time. You can see even this morning started off with some clouds, some rain showers, but then we cleared right there and that clearing allowed us to destabilize. There's the front coming on through and with it some of those powerful showers and thunderstorms that did a decent amount of damage across the DC area and I'll show you all the reports in just a moment. Tonight, a quieter radar picture. All that light blue just sort of the radar beam getting bounced around by some of the higher humidity values
that we have out there. Some patchy fog. We won't rule it out tonight. As far as rain showers and thunderstorms all over the eastern shore now beaches getting a few more raindrops, but things are settling up out to the east of town there. every little blip you see on your map, either reports of uh trees down, branches down, or hail reports across the DC area. And if you eye over here on the Eastern Shore, there is one reports of yes, a tornado that was confirmed already from the National Weather Service out in Talbot County near the town of Trap, Maryland, just down to the south and west. And in fact, this tornado was captured on video actually crossing over Route 50 for a period of
time and going on by. No rating given to that just yet, but they did confirm from the videos that went out with it uh that it did indeed touch the ground. As we look outside for uh futurecast or we look beyond on futurecast, we'll show you tomorrow morning should be a sunnier start. Now, wave of low pressure still rotating to the north. So, in the afternoon, a passing sprinkle or shower can't be ruled out. Not expecting anything like today. Of course, things should then settle up into Wednesday night and Thursday looks drier and more sunfilled across the DC area. Tomorrow, not a bad day at all, though. Aside from that passing shower, should be a good amount of sunshine. Temperatures in the
middle 80s. Humidity falling. By August, though, which starts this weekend, we're warming things up again. We'll talk more about that coming up in just a few minutes. Shireen. Sorry.
