Attempting a World Record: Visiting All 472 NYC Subway Stations in 22 Hours

Two friends attempt to break the world record for visiting all 472 New York City subway stations in under 22 hours, covering 660 miles of track. The challenge begins at midnight in Rockaway and involves navigating trains, buses, and sprints between stations. Despite setbacks like delays and exhaustion, they push through, ultimately falling short but gaining a memorable experience. The video highlights the physical and mental toll of the attempt, with moments of humor and reflection.

We Tried Visiting 472 NYC Subway Stations in 22 Hours (World Record Attempt). | Transcript:

Today we are going to be attempting what may be our wildest challenge yet. Go, go, go, go. Spotted our first wildlife in the subway. We are going to try to set a world record to be the fastest people to visit every subway station in New York. We will be attempting to travel 660 mi of track and stop at all 472 stations. But we won't be attempting this record alone. This entire adventure is happening because of a random email I received from a guy on the internet. It basically said, "Hey, I figured out a way to break the world record to visit all the subway stations as quickly as possible. Do you want to do it with me?"

I had never heard of this before. And it sounded completely crazy. So, of course, it got an immediate yes for me. So, later tonight, we are going to be spending 22 hours riding the New York subway with a random guy that we've never met from the internet. Also, when I originally said yes to this, I didn't realize it was actually a thing, but it turns out there's an entire Wikipedia page devoted to breaking this record. So, if everything goes as planned tonight, our names will go down in the Wikipedia history books down here at the bottom of the page. This is definitely another 50/50 challenge. There are so many things that could go wrong over the course of 22 hours. I actually think

this challenge has the highest potential for failure of anything that we've attempted yet. But, as usual, whether we succeed or fail, we're hitting the upload button. Hey, how do we get stuck on this ramp? The fastest sprint yet. Leave the bottle behind. This might be our first uh true mistake of the day. It is currently 700 p.m. which means the challenge officially starts in 7 hours. We're going to go try to get a couple hours of sleep and then head to the starting point. Join us for what could be the most interesting night of our entire life.

This is what a man questioning all of his life decisions looks like. Who knows what we're going to see riding the New York subway for 22 hours. Good morning, night, whatever time it is. Managed to get a couple hours of sleep. Checking a coffee, a backpack full of snacks ready. It's almost go time. Do I have everything? Phone, subway card, chapstick. Here we go. What are we doing? Where do we go? Where am I? One of the stranger moments of my life.

Finishing my midnight coffee followed by midnight pizza. But I have a feeling tonight's going to get even weirder from here. Please use your seat belt for your safety. We now have a 1hour ride to Rockaway where this adventure officially begins. All right, we made it. He said, "Look for the pink beanie." Also, I was thinking on this car ride over here, if this guy wanted to kill us, this was a pretty good plan to get us out into the middle of nowhere at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. That would be what kills me.

Saying yes to a ridiculous adventure with a random stranger. The first of many taps. This may be a problem. See a pink beanie. This is going to be so interesting. What's up, dude? Oh, you came ready. Let's go, Jay. Oh my god. You're so prepared. That one's for you. All right, here we go. Better. We've got the schedule. Print it. Yeah. Laminate it. Jay's not messing around. If you're a serial killer, you've really sold it. That's everything you need, dude. Nice to meet you.

Sorry. I was getting on with you. I think Jay and I are going to get along. Priorities. What do you think our chances of actually doing this are? 66. No, I think 85%. All right. If all goes well, realistically, 22 hours 12 minutes. He's dialed in. Let's do it. So, remind me. Have you done this before? Yes. In New York? Yes. What happened last time? 5 minutes left. Guy jumps on the train tracks, stops me. 5 minutes from being on 14th Street. No. Like on the tracks. 14. I was 5 minutes from beating the record. I was one stop away and the guy jumped on the tracks.

Yeah, right. 100% 100%. What happens in the Bronx? Three buses, six train transfers, seven connections and traffic. You're a brave man. I did the end this one by myself. The only person was crazy enough because uh what is it? What time is it now? 1:21 in Switzerland, which means in Switzerland. You are flying on a plane 5 hours ago. So, just so you know, you in Switzerland. All right. So, um, we were supposed to start this adventure at 158, but they've just opened a bridge, which is already delaying a train. So, before we've even

started, we're already having to make some adjustments. Yes, but that's going to be all day. And I warned him about this. Okay. And I'm trying to Hey, we're here for the adventure. We're just trusting you. Full trust. No. Yeah, exactly. Here we go. My first ultra this size. Yep. Thank you. I sacrificed my foot. God, we're on. Welcome. This is going to be our life for the next 21 hours. 22 hours. Let's go. I think it's How is it? 25 22 hours 10 minutes. I'm amped right now. We're doing it. I'm ready. Starting lines always make me really emotional if I cry. Got to get my watch up.

Oh, get ready. And take the time stamp photo. Okay. So, there's this app called Timestamp. I'm not sure how it's different from just taking a photo that already has the metadata, but this one shows you the metadata. It shows you on the photo, which is actually really cool. So, this is proof that we are in the train. That's the train station we're at. It was taken September 9th at 2:20 a.m. in New York. Rockaway Park. It even has the train station on it. Nice. Now, you take the photo. Did you start your timer, Car? Yeah, I got it. We'll do it.

Timer. Yeah, timer. We're going. All right. Set. Go. So, we're documenting this in about 10 different ways because the plan is to submit all the evidence to Guinness after this is all over to get the official Guinness World Record. But, we'll see. That way, we have an official. Appreciate it, man. One stop down. We have the official witness signature for Guinness. What an adventure. Wow. Station number two. We're just taking them off. So, I don't know the plans for the day, but I do know the first couple hours are like here, over to here, back up, down, over into Manhattan, and that's about as much as I

know. Okay, before we get too far into the challenge, we have three rules that we have to follow today. First is we have to visit all 472 metro stations. Second, for a station to count, the train doors have to open and close. We don't actually have to get out. Just the doors opening and closing counts as a stop. And last, but not least, only public transport is allowed. So, we will have to transfer in and out of stations, but we're not allowed to take taxis. We're not allowed to take Ubers. We can only take public buses or run.

Jay is a stand up comedian on the side, so I think there will be a lot of laughing throughout this channel. Thank you. All right, get out. We're We're going somewhere else. Three or four stations down and we have our first transfer. Just follow the pink beanie. We just follow the paint, baby, and everything's going to be fine. I think we have a 10 minute hold. 15 minutes. You should tell us that stuff before you get off the train. So, you should be able to go this get on that one right away and go.

Feels like we're going the way we just came from. We are. Okay. We have to get to here. We've got about 30. It's a 31m minute train ride that we have to do magically in 27 minutes. If we don't, we got to stop there until the cows come home. And we just we can either start from scratch and cry. I'll go get drinks. So, we just stayed on the same train at Rockaway station. Now, we're riding back in the other direction. So, that is 11 stops down, 461 stops to go. We are just over 1 hour in. We just stopped at Aqueduct North Conway. Kind of smells like move in here. And we were told this was one of the nice retreats. So this should be really All right. Transfer number three. The first tight one.

Yes. Close one. 3:35. We just made it to Ozone Park. We're out of schedule. We're about to turn around and head back to Rockway Boulevard. One of the luckiest people. So, we just saw on the board that we have 46 stops until we get to 207th Street, which means that we are knocking out 10% of the stops on this single ride. Maybe the most restful part of the entire trip. And since it's uh 3:50 in the morning, might take a little advantage of that and uh take a short nap. Okay, we've officially entered Manhattan. Car is carrying the tape through this section, taking the photos of each of the stops, saving our energy

for the rest of the trip. So, basically what's going on is I just found out that we have a 20 minute delay up here where we were going to transfer over into uh inward. It's a 20 minute delay on the engine back down to 96. What the delay is because we are still going. This is a lot to process by the morning. Sounds like you're speaking another language. Yeah. 2 hours and 40 minutes in. Breaking into the snacks. We had our first couple uncomfortable situations. One guy ran onto the train screaming without a shirt on. Sounds a little jarring. And then another guy just came through saying

aggressively asking for money for coffee, which I can kind of relate to. All right, it's 5:20 in the morning. We just made it to 207, which means we've officially marked off the entire blue line and we're sprinting for the next train. Jay is surprisingly fast, 3 hours in. This is our first time leaving the train station, which means that we just rode 3 hours on the subway for a grand total of $2.60. I will say for riding the subway between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., we saw a lot less weird stuff than I thought we would. We still got a lot of hours left.

You see the station? Yeah. We made it to the 207 station on the red line. But the question is, do we miss the train? Going the right way. Wow, that was exhilarating. I went from dead asleep to sprinting through the rocks. We made it to 242, which is the top of the one line. Now we head back down all the way to 96th Street and then transfer from there and go up to 148th Street. I did that 6:03 in the morning and it's crazy how full the train is set up at this point. Could be the part of town we're in, but we've been basically alone all morning.

Should make things more interesting. All right, from here we ride from uh 96 up to 148. Everything can go wrong and everything will go wrong, but with Nate's luck, we will be fine. It's light outside. Thank God. Yeah, she's not. Wow. Beautiful. Welcome to the Bron. Wonder where J's from. Still from the back. All right, we officially made it through the first night. Now we have about a half mile little jog from 148th to 155th. Get our steps in.

I think this is my first time ever in the Bronx. Beautiful morning. Funk you up. with 6 minutes to spare. Just spotted our first wildlife in the subway. Our first rat just ran out of the rail. It's hiding right now. About this big. We're going to start a rat count. Stay tuned. See how many rats we can see in 22 hours. Go. Okay, we have officially made it to the top of the Dline. From here, we're going to attempt to catch a bus over to the top of the four line so we can start riding back down. It looks like we need to go Banebridge. It says not in service. Hold on. We got to take Mine says 712.

712. We take the B34. So, we should cross over there. At one point, I was just a follower, but now I'm contributing. We got off at 710. We may have lost a little time, but we found the bus. 7:24 in the morning. Running our first bus of the trip. Celebrating with some M&Ms. I use hand sanitizer. I've used it at least 30 times already today. Really is like an ultramarathon running, planning out our snacks and our calories. No aid stations, though. Good morning. Real quick, Nate is currently 70 mi into a

240 mile race here in Moab. You heard me correctly, 240 mi. I'm here crowing in the van along the course, but I can only see him at certain locations. So, the last time I saw him was at mile 16 and I'm not going to see him again until late tonight. Last night there was a huge thunderstorm in the desert, which is crazy. But I was trying to go to sleep and the van was literally shaking from the wind and Nate was out there all by himself in the cold in the mountains with not very many clothes on his back. Needless to say, I was freaking out a little bit. Still kind of am if I'm being honest. But thankfully, I brought this entire box of AGZ because I kind of anticipated this. This crazy subway

video is sponsored by AG1, but AGZ is their brand new product that Nate and I have really enjoyed incorporating into our nightly routine lately. Az is basically a nighttime hot chocolate that helps you wind down at night naturally. So, there's no melatonin in here, but it just supports your natural sleep cycle and melatonin production. Last night, I made some. I drank it in bed and I actually miraculously fell asleep. It really helps me and I enjoy the taste and I enjoy just the routine of it in general. The ingredients in here that help you wind down and get restful sleep are really clean and amazing. There's vitamin B6, magnesium, altheanine, lots of calming herbs and antioxidants, and

my personal favorite, ashwagandha root. So, if you have trouble falling asleep at night due to stress or anxiousness or any other reason, I highly recommend AGZ. It's been great. They have three different flavors. My favorite now is berry, which is surprising cuz I'm not usually into that. They're all good. I've tried them all and I highly recommend it. So, if you want to give AGZ a try, you can scan the QR code here on the screen or if you click our link in the description below, you'll get a free frother with your first purchase of AGZ. And it's a really good frother. It has a lid on it. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for listening. Back to New York.

All right, 5 hours and 10 minutes in and we are finally about to get our first bathroom break. All right, bathroom break. Out of everything that could have possibly gone wrong today, nothing's gone wrong yet. Not being able to go to the bathroom was probably my biggest concern. So to get a bathroom break 5 hours in, I'm feeling pretty good about things. That's why I was like, I've looked at the train like I know the bathroom I would want. Thank goodness for those extra 6 minutes. Nice work. I like this train. Yeah. Feel like we really accomplished something there.

Yeah, we could. All right, we are currently transferring at 149th Street here. We're going to get on and ride up to the top of the two line. Jay, are we on pace? I have no idea yet. We're going to find out. I'm 99% sure we're on pace. We haven't missed anything. So if this is our train then we should be on pace. It's questionable. You still have to go back down to Morris. Yeah. Because then go up from here. This train all to ourselves cuckoo. We're only 6 hours in.

This is the last song on this train. Everyone, please. We have officially made it to the top of the two climb. I think we made the right decision getting on here. I think we're going to miss the bus. I can guarantee we're going to miss the bus. No. All right. So, we got off at Reed Avenue and we are attempting to make the bus that's going to take us to the top of the green line. I know that's not what it's called, but we nailed it with 4 minutes to spare. So, this bus is going to take us 16 minutes to the East Chester Dyer AB station. So, we've officially made it to the top of the five line. From here, we're going to ride a few stops down to Morris Park, then hop on another bus over to the six line. All right, we made it to Morris Park.

I just laugh at how crazy this is. We're seeing like the most random neighborhoods in New York. How did my life lead me to this? You married me. All right, if all goes to plan, that is the last bus that we'll get off. Taking shortcuts. What a timing. Wow. Could not get any better than that. All right, we are officially 7 hours and 13 minutes into the challenge and we are on our last line in the Brock. So, I think we have 18 stations from here and then we'll be completely done with the

Brock. So, that'll be a huge section to mark off. It's time to break out the energy drinks. Really need that energy drink to get in. 125th Street. So, officially crossed back into Manhattan. We almost getting on it and then we almost No. Do you know what just happened? That just turned into an express train. It was going to be skipping station so we had to jump off at the last second. Oh my. and wait for the next one. I was telling him it's like they just do that. So, we just randomly jumped off here at 86 Street and we're waiting for the next local train.

And we're back. I spilled some chocolate milk crazy 1 hour financial district and we have 1 hour to do it in. This is the part where I just uh follow Jay. So, we are getting off at the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall exit, which means we have officially completed the sixth line and apparently jumping off the train. All right, we just rode one station to Fton and now we're going somewhere else. hopping on the Okay, so we just talked off the World Trade Center Station, which is on the Blue Line that I thought we finished earlier, but apparently wasn't open then. So, we just circle back to grab that. And now we're heading to Park Place. While we got a few minutes to wait, I wanted to ask you, uh-oh.

How did you get into this? I asked Nate if he wanted to do it. That's No, that's literally But you've done DC before, right? No, no, I did DC. Basically, I wanted to promote my book, which didn't work well in DC, and it didn't work well in New York, and I was like, I failed miserably in New York. So, I leached out to the only crazy people who would be willing to do it, and that was you guys. How is this connected to your book? It's not yet. But it's all about my life journeys, and this is one of them. So, but right now, the train is coming. That would be cool. just rushed in. But that would have been good timing

Oh, tragic. We just had our first deer miss of the day. Those doors that closed on us for the train that we needed. So, that's going to add 5 minutes. I just All right, we just connected in Chambers. Now we're heading down to South Berry. We'll knock back off a few more stops on the way. I have no idea how All right, we've come up for air at South. I think this is where all the tourists come to get on the boats that go to uh the Statue of Liberty. And now we're connecting to the South Fairy White Hall to get on the

yellow line and start heading uptown again all the way to Time Square. For your viewing pleasure, bathroom break number two of the day. Ridiculous things that we document on this channel. Nice. 9 hours and 20 minutes. Nearly halfway time wise, and I think we're past halfway distance. Not really sure how that works out, but right made it time square. Unfortunately, we don't have any time to go up and see all the billboards because the mission continues. We just finished half a map. We are not even 12 hours in and we only have the back half.

No, I'm not even kidding you. Less than half the subway train. We may get 17 hours. Yeah, we're No, I'm not even kidding you. I love the enthusiasm train. Oh, cludged sacrifice his arm for the mission. So, we've walked from Burough Hall over to the Court Street station and we have hit the exact 10hour mark. All right, rat number two. Yeah, I'm going to use this whole bottle today. What is this bright light? All right, so we're currently walking from the Hoy street station to the Hoy Schumah station. So 3 minutes outside, stretch

the legs, get a little fresh air, and back down we go into the darkness. I have officially broken my first sweat of the trip. Yes. In case anyone was wondering, the subway stations are not AC. Okay, from here we're heading all the way up to Gine to Fort Square. Really feels like we're making some progress. 10 out of 10, actually. Yes. Wow. Clutch. We would have had to wait 12 minutes. That was so fast. I had to get my card. I ran down there and I was like, I don't see him disappeared.

I get your card, dude. That was so fast. Nice work. No, it had 10 bucks on it. Nice. I sacrificed an arm that time. The doors on the subway are actually pretty gentle. All right, we are 8 minutes shy of the 11 hour mark, which means that hopefully we're halfway because the record is 22 hours and 10 minutes. This is all a lot more fluid than I expected. So, we don't really know exactly where we should be at what time. So, if you're confused about whether we're on pace to break the record or not, so are we. We're just going as fast as we can. That was fun. I was like, I'm not playing tricks.

All right, so we just rode the seven all the way back through Manhattan all the way to Hudson Yards. Now we're getting back on the train heading the opposite direction back to Time Square to connect to where we need to go next. Back in Time Square, We made it and we got to enjoy the jumping for about 10 seconds. Don't get behind the speed of light. How did we get stuck on this ramp? I'm going to be honest even I'm a little confused at this point at exactly what we're doing and what we've hit and what we haven't hit. But hopefully the graphic that is on the screen is helping to check these off because I have no

clue how many stations we've actually been to at this point. Okay, this is all starting to feel a bit ridiculous, but we have made it to Roosevelt Avenue and now we're jumping on the F train and heading back in opposite directions to knock off some stations that we missed. I would love to mention that we've asked a few like locals or train attendants or police officers to confirm we're going away a couple times when we're going and every single person we talked to has been nothing but nice, helpful, pleasant. I got a feeling New York sometimes feels like there's a stigma that they're rude and you know always rushing and not super friendly, but we've experienced All right, we made it to Brian Park. We are looking for the Q or the some other one M maybe.

Let's go. Look at this mural. Look quickly, though, cuz we've only got one minute. All right. Thank you, dude. Where's the Oh, here we go. Thanks, man. Have a great day. All right, we made it to the end of the Q line. We're doing great. Keep it up, everybody. We've gone across the track. Robin back on the train ride back down the queue line because we still need to mark off the end line. But now that means we've got to take the queue all the way back to 47th then get on the end and then ride the end back to 49th all the way to Atoria

and then the end all the way to Atoria which I have not found on the map yet but hopefully it makes sense in this graphic to you. Crash again. I need to like go outside and then get some. And this is the time in the video after we've been doing this for 14 almost 15 hours. This is when I start to wonder if this is the most boring video we've ever made. Oh wow, my brain is not working. 12 and 1/2 hours. One of the most unique and potentially repetitive. I thought this whole video we were just going to be seeing completely crazy things. like just crazy people on the subway doing weird stuff and there has been very

little of that and anything that has been weird has been very uncomfortable to film. Shout out to Beehive. This is who we use for daily drop. As far as cleanliness goes on these trains, I would say they're cleaner than I expected to be. I mean, it's no like Tokyo like I'm not like, "Wow, it's so clean." I just expected it to be really, really grumpy at least at some point. There have been no extreme cases. That being said, I'm still using a whole lot of hand sanitizer and I left my liquid band-aid on my new tattoo just in case. Didn't really want to take that off before this adventure. She just wanted to figure out how to work in that. She had a new tattoo.

You watched till the end of our last video, then you know the tattoo. The outside world. It's so beautiful. We've been underground for so long. Sunshine. Wow, that feels so beautiful on my skin. That's cool. All right, proof that we made it to the end of the end line. Now we turn around and go back to the seven. We got to go. We made it back to Queensboro. We're connecting to the seven. And now this train is going to take us all the way to the end of seven, which is Flushings. I think it has an S on it.

This train is currently full of really cute kids all the way. I can't imagine riding a train to and from actually old cuz I think they're all high schoolers. We're serious. It could be fail. Don't lose your life. Stay alive. I would do anything for that big salad and plate of dumplings right now. We have officially made it to Flushing, which does not have an S on it. We're heading back down the seven to 74th Street. Yes. So, I'm posting Instagram stories live like while we're doing this and so many people are asking what if you have to go to the bathroom, which is a valid question. And I knew it would be hard,

but it actually is almost impossible to find a bathroom in the station without having to exit and scan back in. And we just had willing to take that risk. But this one had a bathroom. The sad part is I didn't even have to go because we brought one water bottle each out of my fear of having to go to the bathroom. all the water today and that's what I have left for the rest of the night. Like I was scared I was going to have to give up on the challenge and be like fine. I had to leave go without me. But deep down I kind of wanted that to happen so I can just go get a coffee and enjoy the rest of the day. And then I have bathroom water. Okay.

I'm the smart guy on the bathroom. Jay was brave enough to fill up his bottle in the bathroom and we just couldn't get ourselves into it. He's getting close. should be. Go, go, go, go, go. All right, we made it to 74th Street. From here, we connect to the F or the Mline to continue east. Getting close. Also, it is 4:30 in the afternoon. You can definitely tell rush hour is beginning. Welcome to Jamaica. We have a bob sled.

People say, you know, can't believe Jamaica. Now we have about 17. Now we turn around and go back to Q Gardens. This is the first time in the whole trip at 5 p.m. that I've been able to wrap my head around us actually doing this. I'm feeling like we actually have a chance. I hope so. And like I need a snack. This is the last stop. All right, we made it to Jamaica Center. From here, we have to find the J train. Made it. So, you're telling me there's a chance? Yeah. Don't lose the pink beanie. We made it to Broadway Junction and from here we are connecting to the L train to start heading south.

Quick, ready to go. Nice. One thing that I probably should have filled you in on sooner is that we're using the Omni card today. And the cool thing about this card is after you pay for seven rides with it, you get a week for free. Unlimited rides for a week. Seven rides cost $34, which is how much we paid for this entire day of riding the metro. 24 hours of fun. So fun. It has actually been really nice because we just don't even have to think about it. We just and walk in. We don't have to like pay for, you know, A to B and like know where exactly where we're going, which is good because we don't have time for that.

It is actually crazy how cheap it is to ride the New York subway. We rode for 3 hours this morning before we had to exit and you only pay when you exit and re-enter. So that entire 3 hours cost $2.90. All right, we made it to Rockway Parkway, which is the end of the Line. So, now we stay on this train, head back to where we just came from. We are almost exactly 16 hours in, which calls for our last lukewarm energy drink. We just hopped off the Line. Now we're quickly making our way over to the three. All right. From here we are heading to new line at the end of the three.

Yes. Quick tip. If anybody else does this world record event, I'd bring like a book or some headphones and download some movies on your phone. We've done a lot of sitting around and scrolling Instagram. But one thing I'm very excited about is travel trivia tasting with our friend here. We look forward to it every week. Made it to New Lot. Now we uh head back in the opposite direction. New lights. Actually, that one does have an S on it. We are not going to lie. Earlier we were thinking that there was no way this was going to be possible to break.

Jay has been crunching some numbers coming up. say this. If I'm being completely honest, I haven't known since the moment we started whether or not this was actually possible or the entire time whether or not we were on track to break this. We're having a good time. We should Okay, we're having a good time. When we get done with Franklin Avenue, we literally have to basically look at that avenue and go to the first train. Southbound, northbound, I don't care. Yeah, I think that's the trip we're trying to make. There's no way you got it. Let's go. Lightning speed, baby.

Never seen it run that fast. We may have a casualty, though. Oh, no. One's gone. I don't know. Oh dear. Sacrifice for the record. We made it to flat push, which is the end of the five. And now we transfer over to the tube. Right. We have made it to Atlantic Avenue. Believe we're going for the Q train here, but at this point, we'll take what we can get. We have just shy of 5 hours to beat this record. It feels like we don't have that much more to go, but the parts that we do have left uh look pretty inefficient. So, it's definitely up in the air. Q. 1 minute.

Q. Go. Sprint. We got one minute. We really need to make this. Go. The fastest spray yet. Leave the bottle behind. Let's go. My bottle. Yes. Yeah. You all sit. Let it go. I think that's the fastest ride. That was an all out. Potentially unnecessary 40 yard dash now that we're sitting on the train and it hasn't left yet. Hey, did we get off one too early? Yeah, we did. We just blew, guys. My fault. Well, this was our uh first, I think, actual mistake of the day.

There's nothing we can do. We just got off one station too early at Botanic Garden instead of riding up to Park Place. I was feeling pretty good that we had given it our best shot, and if it was meant to be, it was meant to be. But this one kind of hurts, especially uh 17 hours in. All right, 8 minutes behind, but we are back in business. Almost 18 hours in. Best train's back. We're heading back. We're going to jump on the queue. Spirits are pretty low right now if I'm being honest, but we're still going to give it a go.

Okay. From here, we take the queue all the way down to Coney Island. Coney Island sounds fun. Never been there before. Is that where Coney Dogs come? Can we Google Do Coney Dogs come to Coney Island? I can't get a record. I apologize for that. I think you guys record. I know we can get 20. I have no chance in heck. That is up to y'all. I feel like we got to go for 24 hours, right? Yeah. Up to y'all. We have to keep going. I know for a fact that we cannot get the record and I'm so the world record is feeling pretty hopeless at this point.

It's questionable. Whether or not we can even do it in 24 hours. We don't normally quit things. What? I mean, we can do it. I mean, but I've never been so tempted. This is what a man questioning all of his life decisions looks like. So, yes, what are we doing? Hey, you can't see Tony Island. Yeah. No, wow. I'm so glad we did this here. Just go take a look at this. This is incredible. Wow. They didn't even light up the fair as well.

We failed to accept that. I just knew it was a waste of time that you guys came out here for 24 hours, but that's up all the time. What I would really love to happen right now is for a whole line to just be closed down so it was impossible to finish so we can just throw in the towel and be done with this, but me not have to make the decision to quit. Is this us over here? This is the first 50/50 chance episode that we're uploading in the belly, which might be a good thing because I feel like people are starting to not believe that. I don't know where today I don't know what happened.

We had one mistake, but besides that, it felt like the only issue we had is very simple is we dropped the Jay thinks the route was wrong and that we should have done Cody earlier because now the trains here are running slower. They're only every 20 minutes. I don't know that I've said anything good yet. I feel like I'm still trying to process that this isn't happening. I am. Wow. What a wild hours. The problem is ending this challenge and not completing it. No, no, no. Let me and I will do this again. Me and you. We haven't lost ourselves for 20 days.

Me and you not care enough. No, no, no. You're out. It was all your fault. No, not you. The problem with not completing this is I don't like leaving things unfinished. So, I feel like I need to come back to do this again. But honestly, that is the last thing in the world I want to do. Yeah. Nate, I'm going to be there guys. If you call me, I will do it again with you. Nate from the future. Here we are back in the van getting ready for our next big adventure. But I felt like I owed you a bit of a debrief before we ended this video because at this point you're probably wondering how did you go from

being 2 hours ahead of world record pace to missing one train that was going to delay you by 8 minutes and then having no chance of beating the world record. Um that's a question that we're still asking ourselves if I'm being completely honest. We may get 17 hours. But what I will say is 19 hours into this journey was truly the first time I could look at the subway map and wrap my head around what we had done, what we still had left to do, and come to my own realization that there was no possible way that we were going to beat this world record or for that matter even finish hitting all the subway stations in under who knows 30,

40 hours. But like we said at the beginning of the video, this was a 50/50 chance. And no matter what happened, the video was getting uploaded. So hopefully you enjoyed following along with the journey, even though we were nowhere close to succeeding. Great story though. Hopefully. Looking back, this might have been a 9010 chance with a 90% chance of failure. This is the first world record that we've ever tried to beat. And as it turns out, beating a world record is really hard. Will we be back to try this again? I'm going to leave that up to you. Do you want to see us try it again? Or was one video of us riding the subway more than enough to last a lifetime? If this video gets 100,000 likes, we will try again. Thanks. But please don't hit the like button. All

right, see you in the next one.
