Friends, welcome to this edition of The Outdoor Gear Review. My name is Luke. I hope you are all right. A few weeks ago, maybe a month ago, I was reviewing a new line of tents. It was a two-person tent from OneTigris called Bastion. The Bastion tent line includes two different models. There's the two-seater, which we've already seen, and there's also a four-seater version. Initially, only a two-seater version was on sale. So I purchased it and did a preliminary review. He is currently undergoing testing. A few weeks later, a four-seater version appeared, and that's what this issue is about.
There is something about this tent that you are all very interested in. After I published a review of the two-seater version, I can't count how many emails and messages I received about the four-seater version. Since you are the main ones on this channel, I bought this tent, and here we are today Friends, let's take a look at the four-person Bastion tent and find out how it differs from the two-person one. If you decide to purchase this tent, here is what you will get. First, we have a storage bag. It has one zipper on top and two carrying handles. There are installation instructions on the inside of the bag. The tent itself comes with a compression strap with a buckle, which is of fairly high quality
We have an awning, inner part, poles, as well as stakes and guy ropes. Before covering the tent with an awning, let's talk about the inside and measure it. What immediately strikes you is how big this tent is. The two-person tent was tall but not very long. With this tent, things are completely different. It is very tall, very long and very wide. The installation process is pretty simple so far. It is important to remember that the black arches are the main frame, and the brown ones are for the doors. The brown arcs are indeed shorter. The next thing you'll notice about this tent is that it has two doors and two vents. There is a mesh on each door and in each ventilation hole, and fabric inside. As you can see, the doors here are simply huge.
You can easily get into this tent and just as easily get out. The tent itself is not tall enough to stand in, but it is very easy to get in and out of. It is worth noting that there are mesh pockets on the doors where you can roll up the fabric so that it does not get in the way. As you can see, I unzipped it, revealing this mesh. Imagine being in a tent in warm weather- what a wonderful airflow there would be inside. And that's just one door. On the other side there is another door and more mesh. With the vents and open fabric, we have a lot of mesh again. But look at this.
We also have access to the vent on the awning to open and close it. Inside the tent you have access to four mesh pockets around the perimeter. Two of them are at the top. Again, there is access to two vents, and there is also a hook for hanging things. Now let's measure this tent. First the height. The height is approximately 61.5 inches (about 156 cm). This is in the center. As for the length, 92 inches, which is equal to 7 feet 8 inches (about 234 cm). So, if you are a tall person, this tent is for you.
The width is 82.5 inches (about 210 cm). It is very easy to put an awning on a tent. You level the door, throw it on, fasten it, secure the door with pegs, actually pull it tight-and you're done. There are safety flaps on the doors that close the zippers. There are also safety valves above the vents. We have four stretch areas, and a storage pocket near each entrance. So, if you unbutton the door, you can hide it in this pocket. You know, friends, One Tigris did some real research when creating this tent. I really like its design. One thing that immediately catches your eye is the door.
The edge of the awning extends further than the bottom of the inner tent, which means that when you open it in the rain, the water runs off to the ground and almost nothing gets inside. This, my friends, is a very smart design decision. Before I share my thoughts and impressions of this tent, let's quickly review the main features. Again, there are two different versions in this line of tents: a two-person and a four-person. The two-seater version is designed for three seasons, while the four-seater is more suitable for winter. In other words, it is a four-
season tent. Fortunately, thanks to this design, it can be used all year round. There is a lot of mesh inside the tent, and the awning is well-stretched, so there should be excellent air circulation inside. We'll talk about that a little later. Continuing with the specifications: according to OneTigris, this is a four-person tent. Four people-at least three-are quite comfortable. This confirms what most people know about tents and capacity. A single tent is for one person, a double tent is for one person, a triple tent is for two people, a quadruple tent is for three people, and so on. As for color options, there are
none. He is only one. This tent is predominantly dark green in color with brown accents. There is also a yellow inner tent inside. When folded, it is a fairly large tent. Its dimensions are: 54 cm by 24 cm by 20 cm. As for the materials: inner tent made of 75D polyester, mesh made of 20D polyester, outer tent made of 20D nylon. YKK zippers and aluminum arcs with a diameter of 10.2 mm are used. In other words, they are very thick. The kit also includes aluminum pegs. The waterproofness of this tent is 3000 mm. Tent weight-6.1 kg. And you get all this for a retail price of $250. The kit includes a storage bag, inner tent, awning, four poles, 14 pegs, four stretchers, two door covers, and a compression strap with buckle.
Now that we've gone over the specs, let's move on to my impressions of this tent. Again, the installation process is not that complicated. You can definitely handle this, and nothing should hold you back. As for the quality of this tent, it is exceptional. This is a very well-made tent: no protruding threads, all seams are taped. I don't see any problems with this tent at all. In other words, the design is really, really good. Next, of course, is the big tent. Unfortunately, you can't stand up tall in it, but it's very easy to get in and out of, and when you lie down, there's plenty of room in this tent Three people can comfortably fit here, and in extreme cases, four.
Personally, I would like to use it either alone or with one person. You can put two bedroom rugs and still have room for two chairs and a table. As for the design, I like absolutely everything about this tent. I have no complaints or claims. This is a very well thought out tent. It has ventilation holes that can be opened and closed from the inside. The awning is away from the hull, which means condensation will be less of a problem. By the way, there's a lot of mesh here, which provides great airflow if you need it. But let's say it got cold, right? You can close the tent, block the air flow and keep the heat in. At the same time, we have a lot of space in each of the vestibules. The most important
peg attachment points are fully adjustable, which is a good thing. And there are plenty of pockets inside to organize your gear, should you decide to use them. As for weight, given the size of the tent, there are no problems. It's actually quite light. At the same time, the folded size is quite acceptable. It is not too big. Most people will be able to easily carry this tent from the car to the campsite and set it up. Another thing I like about this tent is the color scheme; At least for my taste, I like the way it looks. He looks very, very good. As for the price, $250 for it is quite reasonable in my opinion, provided there are no problems with waterproofing.
This is something I will check out as soon as the rain stops. Again, we have two weeks of dry weather ahead of us, so unfortunately it will have to wait a bit before I can test it for waterproofing. But know that waterproof testing is coming soon . As for my review of this tent, I'm done. OneTigris did a fantastic job with this tent. Again, provided there are no issues with waterproofing. So, you've heard my opinion about this tent. I'm curious, what do you think? Write in the comments below and share your impressions. What do you all think about the look of this tent? And also, what do you think about its functions and dimensions? Personally, I like everything I see in this tent.
This tent is the complete opposite of the two-person version. Again, the double is more of a summer option, while this one is more for winter. The two-seater version is actually quite small. If you are 180 cm tall, you won't fit in that tent. And with that, as long as your height is less than 230 cm, you will be able to use it. Thank you to everyone who wrote and asked to inspect this tent. Please know that every product I review on this channel is chosen based on your feedback. So if you want me to test something, send me a message. If it's something very unusual, I might take a look, but maybe not. In general, if there is interest in something or if it seems interesting to me, I will
take it. That's all for today, friends. If you found this episode useful or interesting, please give it a like. I really appreciate it. Until next time, take care. Strength and honor. See you later
