Well, friends, we are visiting Fredericton in the fall with a toddler. So, in this video, we'll take you on a journey with us and show you all the places we'll visit. There will be entertainment for the children, and we are also planning to have a very tasty meal. So stay with us and we'll take you on a tour of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Fredericton, New Brunswick-it's one of those cities we return to year after year to visit family. And this time we explored it in the fall with our toddler. We enjoyed walks among the fallen leaves, visited a new museum for us, explored an art gallery,

returned to our favorite eateries, went to the library every day for games, and much more. In this video, we share everything we managed to do to give you ideas for your own family trip. This is Fredericton and autumn with kids. The Fredericton Public Library has become part of our daily routine. We came here with our daughter almost every day during our stay. This library is every child's dream: there are lots of play stations with toy dinosaurs, dolls, a dollhouse, a toy kitchen, coloring pages, cozy reading nooks, and a huge selection of books. Once we went to a string quartet performance for children, and on other days we came for a storytime.

This has become our favorite place in town. Being able to slow down a bit and play around between all the excursions made a big difference. Oho. Mango Castle. But that's enough for you. There's a new sheriff here. And this is really. Yes, this was our first family art. So that was pretty fun. This is the first time she's been able to come and practice with pencils. So, uh, that was great. We had fun. And here is autumn. So beautiful. Good job. This is yours. This is for you. Yes. Oho. Here. What is it? This is green. Oho. Oh, sorry.

It has disappeared. What is it? This is me. I like this color. This is cute. During our visit, we also took time to stroll through Located in the city center near the river, this is the area where British troops were stationed from the late 1700s until 1869. Several military buildings still survive, including soldiers' barracks, a guardhouse, and officers' quarters. Of course. Dr. Heath. Hit. Yes. So, I think we'll have coffee or something to eat. Yes. Let's have a little snack. Oh, she's pulling this. They are not about deliciousness.

Oh, that's delicious. So good. And Italian sparkling water. With clementine flavor. It's autumn now, but the weather here feels like late summer. Warm. Usually in the fall I have a warm drink, but today I want to cool down. But I still chose something warm-"London Fog." Aha. Yes. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is the provincial gallery of New Brunswick, opened in 1959 as a gift to the people of the province from Lord Beaverbrook. He was a businessman and newspaper publisher who grew up in New Brunswick. He wanted to bring

world-class art to the city, and the collection includes works by artists such as J.M.W. Turner, Emily Carr and members of the Group of Seven. We were genuinely impressed by the size of the collection and the variety of styles, including works from the Renaissance. Not at all what we expected to find here in the Maritime Provinces. And, of course, we had to stop at the most famous painting of all- Santiago Grande by Salvador Dali. A huge canvas over four meters high. Yes, we are going to the sculpture garden. Well, friends. We just visited the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, and to be honest, I was a little nervous because I was going with a toddler. I didn't know how it would go, whether it would be quiet or too active, because

these are peaceful places where people want to enjoy art in silence. that everything went very well. We specifically let her run in the park in front of the entrance. And when we entered, we just put her in a stroller, and she was fascinated as we walked from one room to another, looking at the sculptures, paintings, and bright colors. So, it was very fun and positive. We really liked it. This gallery has been completely renovated in recent years, and I have n't been here in two decades, it's incredible. So it was really nice to see the gallery and kind of rediscover it for myself. And yes, it's a really positive

experience, and it's totally doable to do with kids. Let's wave our hand. Giorgio waves his hand. So, now we are enjoying a family walk around Officers' Square. It's been a while since I was last here, and they've completely renovated the place. This is where the Changing of the Guard ceremony used to be held, which we attended many years ago. Unfortunately, it was not being held during our visit because some of the uniforms and weapons were apparently stored. , but you can still come here and, you know, enjoy the greenery. There is also a museum there, which we will visit soon. In addition, many city events are held here. There is a small stage for musical performances and such. So it's

really nice here. And, I mean like looking at flowers and everything. So this is a cool place. Officer's Square. Fossil-fossil. One, two, three. Fossil. Fossil-fossil. Say "fossil- fossil." By the way, you chose the nickname "fossil " yourself. We didn't call you that. During this visit, we finally found time to stop by the Fredericton Regional Museum. We have passed this place so many times over the years. This museum is located in the former officers' barracks, where Exhibits inside highlight the history of Fredericton and

central New Brunswick, including the heritage of Indigenous peoples, Acadians, and Loyalists. Dzelen - zelen, banana phone. Dzelen- dzelen- dzelen- dzelen, banana. This is really great. Then we ended up at an exhibition that we were n't expecting at all. It's called "Stanton Friedman-Not of This World" and tells the story of a nuclear physicist and renowned ufologist who made Fredericton his home in the early 1980s. It was very strange. This is incredible. This is amazing. Girls are like, "Where am I? Where did you take me? This video, I don't know where I am either.

I was…I'm not Sam. I am someone else. Okay, sorry. And then it was time for lunch. This was our first visit to Dos Stoos, a. We ordered various dishes. Quesadillas, tacos, and burritos with a side of green rice and refried beans. It was nice to try something new and the food was great. We ate every last crumb. Yes I like where I live. Yes. The best thing about visiting Fredericton in the fall is the opportunity to enjoy the fall foliage. In the West, we don't see such shades of red and orange, so we often went for walks with the whole family just to enjoy these colors. We mostly stuck to the city center and the Queen Square area, and our trip lasted from late September to early October, if you're also hunting for fall colors. A little wave, a little

wave, and up to the tree. Wow! Impressive. So, this morning we are walking along the river here in Fredericton. It's autumn now, but we still feel a slight breath of summer. We have great weather, fresh air, and it's probably one of the most scenic places to walk in the entire city. There's no better time for this than in the fall. And so, we just went out as a family. Again, we are with the little one. Grandpa and grandma are with us. So it's a family outing for several generations. The best part is that you can choose your own pace. There are many park benches here. So we make a lot of little stops along the way. And we'll show you some scenic

views as we go along. And if you're wondering, this is the Saint John River. She is beautiful. We had been here before kayaking about 10 years ago. So, this is the South Embankment, and it's a great walk. Again, this is one of our usual walks every time we visit Fredericton. This time we followed the trail all the way to the footbridge and then crossed the Saint John River. We were aiming to find food and drinks, and there is one proven place on the other side of the river. Look at the beautiful colors, Mom. Oh, there's also a chocolate truck there Pickaroons Brewery has been brewing beer in Fredericton since 1995. and its location in the former depot building has its own railway history. The

brick building, located near the north end of the Bill Thorpe Footbridge, dates back to 1885, when it was built as a railroad depot for locomotives. Today, it is a working brewery with communal tables and a view of the river. We chose the picnic tables on the lawn as it was a beautiful fall day. We've waved enough already. Guys, we waited a little longer. Oh, you guys are funny. We taste red ale. And he, he's wonderful on an autumn day, huh?

What do you say, Dad? Very easy to drink. Oh yes. And the food, the food will be here soon. Yes, the food is on its way. But first, we'll start with the drinks. Sam noticed it on the menu and I thought, "Oh, that sounds good." Cheers! For both of you, my dears. For you, mom. Cheers! Thank you for coming. For mom! I'll go. Um, oh, we have cutlery. Sorry. We, we are ready. So, Sam has already started eating. That's right. Burger, burger is nice and tasty. I replaced the side dish with sweet potato fries.

Mm. I'm that type of person. I really love sweet potato fries. Class. And I eat cheese fries with a bunch of sauces. I don't even know what green sauce is. I think it's some kind of aioli. It is delicious. There are onions and tomatoes. Very good. And there's a bowl of nachos on the other side. How are the nachos? Treat yourself. What is your favorite ingredient? Beer. Beer, to drink, is the most favorite. Very hot pepper. Yes. Oh, jalapeno peppers. Well, we had a great lunch at Pickaroons. It's always nice, especially when you can sit on the terrace.

It's just so much fun. It's quite an experience. Just go across the bridge. Sitting and enjoying the autumn weather and colors is the most peaceful atmosphere in the entire city. I think this is the best place to have a drink and a bite to eat. But yeah, it was great. And now we are walking across the pedestrian bridge. This is a place we have visited many, many times. It used to be a railway bridge, but now it's a pedestrian bridge. Yes. He really opened up the northern part of the city. I think people didn't often go to the north side before, but now you cross it-and there's Pickaroons right across the street. There

are also many other opportunities for hiking trails. So this is a gateway for cycling as well as walking along the river on the north side. So if you're visiting Fredericton, this is definitely worth seeing. Okay. Now he will go down the hill. Oho. Come on, Dad. You can do it. Ugh! So, as you can imagine, traveling with a young child, we spent a lot of time at various parks throughout the city here in Fredericton. This morning we are at Wilmont Park, where Sam used to go as a child when he visited his grandparents. My memories of this place are associated with summer visits and visiting the water park. Unfortunately, it's autumn and it's currently closed. Yes

, wonderful park. There are a lot of them in Fredericton, and it's just. We're heading to a place called the Sunshine Diner. So this is a logical stop on our journey today. Oh, you'll be a big girl behind the wheel. Beep-beep. She smiles. Beep-beep- beep-beep-beep. Good. What can you tell us? Oh, yes. We are here, near the water park, and it is nothing like what I remember. When I was a kid and came here, probably in the 90s, it was just a blue pool. It's a whole water park now, and they've done a great job. Of course, we can't show it now because it's autumn, but, uh, if you're here in the summer, you should definitely visit if you have kids. "Sunshine Diner". is something we like to do at least once

during every visit. The food here is a diner classic. Imagine a hot turkey sandwich with gravy, soup with a grilled cheese sandwich, or a breakfast of ham, eggs, toast, and home fries. Everything was so delicious and so filling. That's The child is ready. It pulls food. Oh my God. girl no.my phone. Oh, they scheduled it for today. I said. On our way back from breakfast, we passed by Government House. This restored 19th-century stone mansion serves as the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick. If you are visiting the city during the summer months, you can join one of the free tours. We are, however, a little late in the season for this. We would really like to see the interior one day.

Good. Oh, the vest flew off. Hooray! Let's get a vest and you can walk through the tunnel of trees. Yes. Well, friends, we are now in Odell Park. This place is huge. It really is like being in a wild forest. And yet we are in the heart of the city. So we love coming here every time we visit the city. We've been here in the spring, summer, winter, uh, on snowshoes. You can walk along the trails. But, honestly, autumn is my favorite season because of all these colors. This looks so beautiful. Autumn leaves are already starting to appear. Good morning. So yeah, we're just enjoying the colors. We are starting to see shades of yellow, orange and red, it is truly a magical time.

I don't even look at the camera. I look up at the trees. Uh, but yeah, we hope you enjoy this little visit. Oh, what a great time we had in Odell. Yes. That's four generations of memories I've had over the years. I first came here with my grandfather in the late 80s and early 90s. It was his favorite place in the city. We used to come and there were ducks in the pond, I know you can't do that now, but we would throw them bread crumbs and I've been coming back here ever since. I love this park, we only did a small loop today, but I walked the entire park and it's my favorite attraction in Fredericton. It's not easy to get here because there are no other

places of interest nearby. But if you have time and you like being outdoors, I highly recommend visiting. And this little one was also very good. She was She slept. She was so relaxed. She fell asleep, and then we woke her up and took her out into the sun. Yes. Are you having fun? She definitely had fun. So yes, it's a special place. And, uh, my parents really liked it too. So it was a really nice fall fun here in Fredericton. Take time to visit Odell Park. And what do we call this work of art? Return to the origins. He is returning to his roots.

Origins. Yes, that's it. Origins. We also found time to visit the Fredericton Farmers Market. It's a Saturday morning tradition where locals come to shop, have breakfast, and socialize with friends. Sam's parents had a tradition of having breakfast with friends at 7 a.m., which we often joined them for. So we've been coming here for many years too. I must say that this market has grown significantly in recent years, and it was quite crowded, especially when we were navigating with a stroller. It's probably best to come here as soon as they open. In the end, we got takeout pita and doners from Jimmy Sulaki.

Doner kebabs and pita souvlaki for lunch, friends. That's right. It doesn't get more "sea-like," right? Oh, she's such a cheerful person, isn't she? Indeed so. Are you ready? Ready. Forward. Wow, you handled this so well. Wow. Yes, it's much easier. Oh, look at that hair. This is how we enjoyed our trip to Fredericton with our toddler. I think we found a good balance between sightseeing and gastronomic adventures for the adults, and fun for the child in the city's many parks, the library, and other places. So, if you're

planning a trip to Fredericton with kids, now you know what to expect. See you later.
