Little Nightmares Features and What to Know

Hello everybody. My name is Markiplier and welcome back to Little Nightmares 2. We are approaching a big nightmare. Something that is probably horrible beyond imagination, but we're just going to pass it right by because it doesn't seem to bother us unless we bother it. Oh god, not another TV. How am I supposed to get near it if they're doing that? Also, is that what happens to me if I if uh the other kid doesn't doesn't stop me from being sucked into the TV? Yeah, probably weird. The lore of this game either has to be incredibly intense or incredibly confusing or both. Or maybe incredibly confused might be the better term. Help.

They're having such a peaceful time. Although, you know, the TV in the bathtub thing is fascinating to me. I guess I've done that. Or I have my laptop or something. I wouldn't risk my phone like that. I mean, I've I've literally dunked my iPad into an ice bath before, but that was for a particular video. If you didn't know, there was an era where I did these things called impossible let's plays. And uh that was a fascinating time. I was early on when I moved into LA and I started doing these random challenge videos, which, you know, I did those for a while and then I realized, hey, maybe taking her 13 habaneros and hopping in an ice bath, which was the natural conclusion of where I went to, uh, isn't the

greatest idea I've ever had. All right. [snorts] I'd like to believe Wait, that's loud. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Ow. Hold on. There's something going on there. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You can't slip that by me. I'm too smart or something. Oh, I don't know what happened there. Just other kids like, "Hey, where'd he go? Hey, what happened to him?" Huh? Must have been a chump if you couldn't make that jump.

Ow. Why? Get out of my way before something horrible happens. All right, so this time I'm going to be ready and I'm going to make a jump before I would die. Oh, wa. Did you see me flying? I was like floating. That was so weird. I'll be right with you. First, I got to probably find a glitchy child whose soul I will absorb. Uhhuh. Oh, I thought there was a little bit of abrasion on the top of that thing, which was signifying that I should probably jump across, but no. Okay, there better be a point to this. Wait, I thought I was on to something. I didn't know that this is just what I was supposed to do. I thought I was going to be a super I even hear a little glitchy glitch. Well, why couldn't H whatever.

That is silly. So, I need to find a key, right? Ah, okay. It's looking up. I'll be right with you, child. Even though you could probably slip through the bars. I mean, let's be real. It does not seem impossible. Okay. Awfully damp in here. Anything up here? No. Huh? I would have thought this was something. Uh, maybe there's a key in one of these drawers. Huh. Well, not that one. Unless it's in the upper one. Nope. Uh, what about this one? Ah, that's easy enough. Get that. Can I open the top drawer? No, don't even care about that. Well, at least that was At least my brain's working enough to get that done. My

brain's working a little overtime. I thought that was a puzzle over there. I thought there was more to it than that. Okay, I have to hit that just right. It is slightly confused. All right, help me with this. I don't know what this is going to do for us, but All right, let's do it. Uh, now do we go up even higher now? No. Okay. What did we Oh [__] Ah, damn it. Okay. Sorry. I just wanted to take a ride back down, I guess. Okay. So, we pulled this switch, but what does that do? Let's try it again.

Okay, you're stuck over here, but you don't want to get back in here. So, clearly that's not the answer. But we did this for a reason. Why did we do this? What did this accomplish? I don't see any wires connecting that to anywhere else. It's by the elevator, which makes me think it affects the elevator, but it didn't do anything. Okay. So, the only thing I can do is I can go back down to the right, but you don't want to leave this zone. You intentionally wait by the elevator. So, something must be up with the elevator, and you won't go in the elevator, but that switch reset somehow

with the elevator going back down. Okay. There's a wall there, but it's open on the right. Oh, I know. I know what needs to happen. I get it. Okay. I go back down. I jump. Oh, [__] That's too high. Or it's not enough at all. It's fine. I blame myself. I don't blame anything. I blame myself and only myself. Okay, get out of my way. I need to floaty jump. That was quite the floaty jump. Cuz what we need to do is I need to go up here. Go around. This is what I need to do anyway. But then I bet what I do is I send it back down. Although I don't know what that switch

does. Cuz what would that switch do? Summon it from up here? No, it doesn't do that because it's already up here. Well, maybe if it's down there, maybe that's what it does. It like summons it up, which could be what it does. Oh, I think I get it. I think I understand. There's another elevator above it. There must be. Right. So, in sending it down, which I can do, this would send or I don't know. I mean, this doesn't really do. I have a feeling that should send it down, but it doesn't. So, I'm going to try this again. Let me see if I can just leave here. Okay, let that go down. I don't need to jump around. Do the silly thing.

Okay. And then that goes up. Come on. Am I? Yes, I want to. Yes, I know. I'm trying to. Why is it not doing it? There we go. And then when it gets back up, we jump on the top of it. went right before it comes back up. And then we go up to the top here. Yep, that's it. Okay, I understand it now. Although, I don't know why the thing on the outside didn't send it down in the first place. I feel like it should have done that cuz there was a obviously there was the action before I sent down manually where she went over and she held her hands out to try to give me a boost. Ooh, big tower. Okay, I saw a drawing about that. It looked like some kind of broadcasting tower. So, that must be part of the TV signal that people are seeing. And it

must have done something much like the uh Citadel from HalfLife 2. It broke a dimensional something. Hey, don't look at that thing. Hey, don't stare at it. And it started messing everything up. Can I climb this? Oh, yeah. We can. Thought we're supposed to. Once again, I find the thing that we're supposed to do. acting like I found a secret. Oh well, it's fine. All right. Aha. Okay. Yeah. So, I'll boost you up and then you're going to if I can pull it back towards you.

Yep. Right there. And then I'll send you over. again. I keep thinking there's got to be a better way. Oh god, not this again. All right, here we go. [groaning] I could have made it to the ledge anyway. [snorts] Close one, though. I mean, I had it the entire time. Also, man, not also, just like completely unrelated. My nose will never stop running. It's not allergies. I got sick around my birthday and just I cannot stop sniffling ever. It will never end. I don't get why anything's

like that. I don't get how the lymphatic system works. The lymphatic system. Look, I took a lot of anatomy and biology courses being a biomedical engineer. I still don't understand the lymphatic system. That's a big mystery. It's all one big enigma in there. So like it's colorcoded as green in your body because you got the red and blue and then they went with green and maybe yellow in some circumstance. It just doesn't make any sense. I don't know what it does. It's weird. But I know that snot has something to do with it. Right. You got all your snot tubes running through your whole body and it's shooting up into your head for some reason. It's got to shoot all your green

goo up upwards and then you're just left with a nose full of snot. It's most efficient system possible, I guess. Whoa. Wait a minute. Okay, this is what I was seeing outside when we first got here. The buildings kind of moving. Not quite as if they're falling down, but if and not quite that they're alive. Never mind. It's just falling apart. Well, that's going to fall on my head. I know a trap when I Oh, should we be going fast?

Bad time to take a drink, huh? Yeah, I was like, "Hey, good. A pause. I can take a sip." Okie dokie. Well, we're supposed to be going quickly then. I guess. LET'S GO. No, then we get Okay, it made a point for us to spawn here, even though this is absolute certain doom. Why is there a yellow spot there? There's like a wheel mirror on the ground there. And then it's death. That's such a quick death, too. So, what's the deal? Wait, I'm so confused. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. Okay, there's nothing over here. Crush, smoosh, scrunch, and that's what I don't know if this is right.

Okay. Well, that was something. I look some sometimes I'm like I swear I did that. It wasn't like it was my first instinct or anything. It was just like but at some point we I remember us both pushing against that door and I'm pretty sure Hey, can you give me a boost here or something? I'm pretty sure. Is this the is See, I never know what's the secret path or what's the path it wants us to go first. Is that the hatman? Oh, I lost my flashlight. Oh no.

Anybody under here? Uhhuh. Well, there's something that I could pick up to throw if I needed that, which I don't know if I do. Oh, okay. That's not what I want. I want this. Oh god. I'll throw this at the TV. See, the thing is, these kids are even smaller than you would think they should be. And I don't know if that's just a distorted perspective thing, but picking up that block, like clearly that block is not for a kid this size. Okay, tuning. not sure why I must do this, but I must. All this has something to do with that tower. And whatever the signal it's broadcasting is important or something. Oh, so close. Get jump on the knob. Open the door. Push. Let go and push it open. And he's been popping up a lot these days, you know, just randomly appearing here and there and everywhere or at least, you know, the approximation of him. I'm sure tall, faceless guy wearing a suit isn't the most uncommon thing in the world. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not sure how that's going to help me. Uh yeah, again. Not Oh, I go back to the TV and I reappear in it. Oh, all right.

Fair enough. DON'T WORRY, OTHER KID. I'M COMING. ALSO, this is very specific to the CRT TVs. I don't imagine, for some reason, like I can buy this with CRT TVs. If it was like a modern OLED display, I'm like, there's no way this would ever work. It just wouldn't work. It doesn't have a gigantic magnetron in the back of that shooting beams out. No, no, no. Couldn't possibly work. Also, I recognize that from earlier in the game, that particular plank of wood, huh? Reusing assets, are we? Can't believe it. Yump. All right. Not sure where I'm going or how I know where I'm going. I'm going, but I'm

I'm sure there might have been some secrets there that I've skipped over now. No. Ain't that nice? [snorts] And this guy has mysteriously vouched. But they left a remote. Wow. How do I uh-huh. I'm sure this is uh definitely helping to rescue the other kid that I definitely didn't have anything to do with getting uh getting kidnapped by the horrible shadowman.

Oh, I see. Oh my god. Good thing I made it. Ah, okay. And then I go over here and I jump over the gap that I just created. I see. Let me see. OH, COME ON, MAN. WHY WOULDN'T YOU GRAB THEN? It's fine. I don't mind doing it again. It was fun. So, of course, I'd do it again. Okay, there we go. Apparently we make it that time. We going to slip and slide. Yeah, we are. Wee. Oh, bang. Hi. I needed to turn it back on so that she would be enamored by it again. I tried to do that, but uh I don't think I needed to turn and face it first. Oh, come on. Give me mechanical advantage, please. Yep. Okay. I'm going to turn it back on. And turn it back on. Oh, yeah. There it is. Oh, you like that? I don't know if there's a benefit to being up here. Maybe there is. Can I go out the window there?

She's going to probably bust through the window. Yeah. Huh. Weird. Okay. So, she's not going to bust through the window, HUH? OH, I CAN USE of course I can go through the TV. Come on. And just because screw you turning it off or not. Ah, what are you going to do? Oh, you're going to go back to the other TV. That's right. All right. Whatever.

I wonder what makes this kid special that they're able to do that. Also, why is the signal it's broadcasting still sound like TV, but clearly it's not? I need to turn that off. Turn that on. Need to turn that off so that you go over there. Oh. Ooh. Okay. Not really what I intended to do, but okay. I was expecting I would have to quickly go across the gap and uh, you know, ACTIVATE. WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. UP, UP, UP, UP, UPIES. That was unnecessarily dramatic. Why would that happen? Maybe to show it's an unpredictable science. to show that I don't exactly have everything perfectly understood and it's not exactly going to be safe all the

time to introduce the concept of failure. Probably yo see this is making progress across the city. I don't know why we kept going through the most dangerous spots but really enjoyed doing that sometimes apparently. Okay, so that guy is just looking at the tower up there which is fine. Oh, all of those guys. Not that guy. The Oh. Not sure why they uh they chose now is the moment to fall like that, but uh okay. Wee. I did it, too. Oh, I just did it slightly more predictably. All right. I don't know where this is going to send us off to. Can I actually go on this window sill first? Yes, I can.

All right. I don't know why I don't feel bad about that and not lighting the guy on fire, but you know, such is life. All right, so that's out of commission. That's a poopy garbage shoot, of course. And I'm almost positive if I go down in there, I'm going to immediately go to my death. But let's see. Let's see the death first. No. Really? You don't want to? You want to be the death? And this is clearly here for me to be able to jump and push that thing, I think. But at the same time, I know there's got to be something about that slot. I mean, the symbols being the same is just too much of a coincidence. Right. No, it's it's this is clearly supposed to go in there. Ah. Uh. Oh, I'm dumb.

Wait. Of course. I was supposed to pull this over here to the left first, then be able to get up high enough to be able to interact with the slot directly. Hold on. on that piece of paper. There is one of those little gnome things from the first game. Come on. So close now. You're so close now. You're right there. All right. Okay. [__] Please let me be able to get that again. There's a floor in between here that I needed to go to cuz I doubt that there's going to be anything down below. But that middle floor is where it needs. So somehow I need to be in that thing such that but I can't get back up there from here. It's going to come back down. So it needs to be on the way back up but with the door open and I can't call it from here. Then how do you do that? Okay. It's something about using the teleporter, but I can't call it from the top one because that one's broken. So, no matter what, I need to call it from the bottom

one, but I can't get into it because the TV's inside. So, if I were to say, for example, go up to the top from here. No, no, no, no, no. because I'm losing out on the ability to get out of it. And it's not like I could just drop down because that wouldn't help me anyway. Oh, wait. Maybe I don't need to go to the intermediary floor. Maybe what I need to do again is similar to the other trick is I need to turn on the elevator. Go through the TV in time to catch it right now. Oh, I missed it by that much. God damn it. I was so close. Ah. All right. And it doesn't ah I was that I that was the right answer. I just I misjudged the timing by a tiny bit. But

that is the right answer because there's that spot up top above the doors that you can sneak through. So that is it. So close. All right. 3 2 1 now. Yep. OH GOD. COME ON, [screaming] MAN. A. The reason I wouldn't just go right away, I hear you asking yourself, is because I would assume that I would fall to my doom or I would fall and break my little bones. My little bird bone ankles would shatter into a million pleces. You heard me, PLECES. THEY WOULD SHATTER INTO PLECES. AND THEY WOULD GO ALL OVER TO THE PLACES. The police justers would be places and I don't even know how to separate the police from the places. I

would never be able to find all my ankles. AND THEN WE RUN FAST AS WE CAN. AND then we drop. Am I dead? COME [screaming] ON. OH, I fall so hard I need to stumble and catch myself. And that delays me. So I need to wait. It is a timing thing. It's not as fast as you can. Son of a [__] That's annoying. That is annoying. Oh my god. Go, go, go, go, go. Okay. Yep. Get up. Yep. [__] god. Get up. Because you saw that for some reason I was pushing the way I was supposed to and then turned around. It was I don't understand. I don't get it. Okay, I'm going to try one thing. I'm going to slide into it. I guess slide. And maybe that'll get up. Okay, let's go. [screaming] Oh, wait. Hold on. I might be dumb. Okay, hold on. If I do it backwards, is it better? It'll be better if it's backwards.

Right. Of course. Okay. All right. Okay. I understand what you're all saying in the frustrations like, "Yeah, just try it another way." The problem is I get totally valid that I should have seen it as another alternative that would have been made it a little easier but the problem is I was close and it seemed like it should work. Therefore, if you get in any game if you are playing something and you get close to a solution that by all accounts should work you would not try it again. You would try it again. And if every time you do it, you get close, you start to think that it's just a timing thing. And only after the

[__] tenth time, would you be like, "Okay, maybe this actually is impossible." When you get the timing right, and it's like, by all accounts, I should be moving through this gap. It looks like it's enough. And yet, it doesn't let me do that. That's why it took me so many tries. It's game design's a tricky thing. I understand that. You need to account for some people getting locked into a loop that they think is correct without seeing the other answer. However, the application of truth was valid that I was attempting to do. It just it wasn't there valid. That's that's the difference. Okay. So, I see I need to pull this box.

Perfectly understandable. Well, I hear you. But hear me. Hear me and understand how if you had gotten to that point, you might Oh, that's just a TV. You might be of the mind. Hey, I just need to try a few more times to make this work. Can I don't know if I can make this jump. Let me make it before I try something here. NOPE. OH, I CAN. WHOOPS. I didn't think I can make that jump. Okay, hold on. All right. So, what I can do is I can cause this monster not person to become electrocuted. Almost got me there, ma'am. Too bad I was too quick for you. And good thing the electricity actually wasn't not there anymore. Oh, it's all broke.

Huh. All right. So, I need something to get that a stool. I see the stool. All right. It's totally fine. I'm not criticizing the game. I'm criticizing myself. I understand that I failed in that aspect and that was that's entirely on me and everybody should be, you know, but I'm just asking for a little bit of forgiveness because, you know, sometimes my brain is so big it gets lost in itself. That's the problem. My mind is too huge that it's cavernous. Not that it's empty. It's so full of things and stuff that sometimes I go, "Hey, wait a minute. Oh, this is going to be fun. What if I turn it off?" Click. Come on. Yeah. What's What's Are you watching something? Click. What are you watching? Click. What are you doing? Can I watch?

Can I see? Man, it must be really interesting. It's going to turn off, isn't it? No. All right. I thought I really thought it would turn off. What was that? Oh, thought it was eyeballs, but that's probably by design, too. H. Okay, so we got electrified water there, a TV over there, something around the corner here, a shopping cart. Not sure how that's going to help me, but if it's movable, I'll move it. Yep. You got it. You know what you're doing. You know what to do. Yeah. Uh oh. Ow. Okay. Yep. That makes perfect sense.

Yeah. I don't know. I don't know what I was expecting to happen. That made perfect sense. Yes. That's that absolutely um Yeah. I know the developers in there and just laugh every time someone dies like that. And that's welld deserved. I do deserve that one. Okay, now it really seems like eye floaties. I know I've been saying that a lot, but it's like it just the aesthetic is just really there. Oh. Oh, handy that. All right, cool. And I see the tray that's guiding me. Uh, okay.

Roll into position there. Okay, we got that. Okay, we made it. Can I ring this bell? Oh, come on. The bell doesn't ring there. There it is. All right. Uh, I think it's dry here. Is it dry over here? Kind of dry enough. Anyway, squeeze through there. Some kind of toy makers shop. I hope there isn't a big toy maker monster. Probably going to be a toy maker monster. Almost positive there's going to be a toy maker. That seems like something that would be in a nightmarish kids game. Although I don't know if you would call this a kids game, but you know.

Interesting. Okay, so is there like a timer on that? Why is it blinking? Oh [__] Uh well, good thing there's not a timer on that because I am not doing it right. Okay, so I crazy here. I would assume you would turn off the power because it goes somewhere over here. I don't have my flashlight anymore, so I can't see in the darkness. There must have been something else in the water that I needed to get. Just don't know what that is. Oh, obviously I pushed your shopping cart still.

It's still here. Come on. Or maybe not. Obviously, maybe this isn't what I do. No, it's got to be what I do, right? Okay. It's probably going to drift where it wants to go. I just need to make sure I can get to the TV. Yes. Okay. Okay, so I can get to the TV without touching the electricity, which means that now I go back, turn on the power, go into that TV, and I should be good to go. Where I'm going, I don't really know. But then again, I've never really known where I'm going this entire time, but I trust the big cavernous brain in my head to uh guide me to the correct answer. That's what I do every day of my life. I just whatever thoughts

are bouncing around this big not empty space, very full space. Oh, come on, man. Whatever's bouncing around this big giant head of mine, you know, this kind of like over stuffed. It's like a hoarder house in here, you know? You know what I mean? It's like, you know, almost impossible to get around, like stacked to the ceiling, you know, kind of densely packed, but huge, but large, you know, giant brain, actually. Humongous brain. At what point will you believe me? At what point when I keep rambling about the [__] that's going on inside my mind, will you actually believe me? Never. Honestly, good. You shouldn't be trick. NO. [screaming] WHY ARE YOU MOVING THAT? OH NO.

OH, I don't know if it's in the right spot. NO. [screaming] NO. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? WHY WOULD YOU SLIP OFF OF IT LIKE THAT? It is very hard to line up things depthwise in this game just because it is. God damn it. Really? Son of a Yeah. See, like that is Where am I? What the hell? It's just hard to line up the depth, right? Whatever. Maybe I'm not supposed to jump off this way or something. It kind of autoal aligned to where it needed to go before. Okay.
