So, we've just got called to a poor little fox cub that's fallen down into some water over in Twickenham. It's calling frantically for mom, as you can hear. So, we're going to dash over there now and rescue this poor little fellow and get him back to his mom, hopefully, or bring back to the center for some care. Oh, hello. It's Louis from Wildlife Aid. Nice to meet you. Here to help you with the fox. In this little section here? Oh, there we are. Oh, me crikey, he really has got himself in a situation here, hasn't he?
I can hear him. I've not eyes on him yet. But, after all the noise, it seemed like the cub had disappeared. Where did you go? It's really cold. You wouldn't be able to find him. Oh, this cub is down swimming in the river. Yeah, got eyes on him. Oh, I'm going to have to take the plunge, aren't I? Knees, you're going in. Oh, that's cold. Yeah, he's definitely coming in his socks. Oh, and so am I. I think we're going to have an incubator each, mate.
Oh, he's full of mud. Oh, mate. Yeah, little devil. Ooh, that's cold. You're going to have to come back. Oh. Oh, I'm getting up. It's cold. What's all this attached to you? Brilliant. You got a handle? Not done very dry, little one. But, let's get you dry, please. Good job. Come on. You stay with me. Just very cold, aren't you? You just used the last bit of your little energy to outrun me. It was just incredibly slow. It's life and death for you right now, so I think we just need to get you warm. I mean, she's just used the last What was I saying about 5 6 weeks? I'd say a couple of weeks ago she'd be fully brown. Come on. Keep warm. She's wrapped up tightly there with lots of heat source.
She's going to go on Dan's lap on the ride home, so he's going to keep her nice and warm until we get back to the center where the vets are on standby as well. So, we'll we'll do the very best we can for her in hopes that she'll have a happy little life moving forward. so much, guys. You've been amazing. Thank you, Sue. All the best. With the cub extremely hypothermic, it was touch and go whether she would survive. That's uh Time to move quickly. All right. Sorry. Help another cub. So we rescued this one from a stream. Yeah. It's been reported she was missing yesterday, so we could hear residents could hear her screaming from yesterday. Yeah. Calling for mom. So she's a lot more alert than she was
when we first found her out. But remarkably, back at the center, she was very active. And her temperature was just about readable. She had survived her encounter with the river.
