Hello Kentuckians, thank you for watching us on WHAS11 Plus. I'm meteorologist Matt Breland. The sun returns to us after lunch. It's also a little warmer today. We are most likely the southwest wind has returned. We will see that our days will become easier to get a little warmer. So, this is part of that Typically, the temperature at this time of year hovers around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. So we are a little warmer than usual for this time of October. During the day, the temperature will rise to 70-80 degrees. We still remain in calm conditions today, tomorrow and most of Saturday, but then showers will return late in the weekend. So, let's

get into the details of the weather forecast. Quiet and dry as we continue moving for the rest of our morning. Temperatures will range between 40-50 degrees during the morning hours. By 12:00 we start to warm up to the 70s. We will continue to warm up in the 70s until about sunset. This is likely when we briefly reach 80° and then start to cool back down to 50-60 degrees during the night hours. Friday will be a day of mixed weather. We will start the day with mostly calm and sunny conditions, with temperatures starting to climb into the 60s during Friday afternoon. Later Friday evening, temperatures will start to climb into the 70s, most likely. And then as we get closer to Friday night, closer to sunset, we'll see persistent cloud cover begin to

creep up on us into the early hours of Halloween morning. So, this will really add a spooky look to the sky during our Halloween morning. Cloudy conditions will continue to increase. We will remain in cloudy conditions throughout Saturday afternoon and throughout Saturday evening. This will be a persistent cloudy trend throughout Saturday. So, this will be a bleak scenario for us. The rains are still receding. I don't think the rain will put a damper on any of the fun, but the cloudy skies will definitely add to the spookiness. We will remain calm and dry throughout Saturday night and then later into

Sunday morning. That's when these showers will start coming to us. Here's a look at the humidity level. The situation remains largely under control, but humidity will briefly increase, which will cause these rains. So, here's what to expect on Sunday. We will be monitoring the approach of an unstable weather front that will arrive later Saturday night and Sunday morning. Isolated showers are likely to linger through most of Sunday afternoon and evening, with intermittent showers continuing into next week. Monday will still be cloudy with brief showers, and Tuesday will see less precipitation, mostly cloudy, but we expect thunderstorms on Wednesday morning and afternoon. So this will be our next weather system that we are keeping a close eye on. But after

many days without any significant precipitation, we really need this rainy weather. So you will notice that drought monitoring will continue to show abnormally dry conditions. We will get a new report on the drought and then we will give you the latest details. Here is the forecast for the next 7 days. Temperatures will remain slightly higher in the coming days, but note: weekend rain and clouds will bring temperatures closer to average values for this time of year by Sunday.

Temperatures will remain between 20-25 degrees throughout the next week, until unstable rains begin again on Wednesday. This was a detailed 7-day forecast. Remember, more weather information can be found at whas11.com/weather.
