Memo Mind One Smart Glasses Review AI-Powered Augmented Reality Without a Camera

The Memo Mind One smart glasses offer augmented reality features like a teleprompter, real-time translation, and voice-controlled AI, all in a discreet frame that resembles regular eyewear. Unlike other smart glasses, they lack a camera, reducing privacy concerns. The review highlights their functionality, design options, and practical uses for note-taking, navigation, and hands-free information access.

So, from here I have something called the Memo mind one, and this is another option in the realm of augmented reality, but without being overbearing. Like this is the kind that blends in, gives you the information you need without completely obstructing you from the world. And with that AI built in, you're going to interact via voice and also via speakers. But the main thing is it's all delivered in a package that is super streamlined and looks like regular glasses. Oh, and the other thing I should mention with Memo mind is they have multiple different frames to choose from. So, finally you can kind of select

your style. This one is called the archive. There's the Nomad, Gotham, Nomad custom, and archive custom. Bunch of different variations that you can do with this so it matches your style. Tap your phone here to get started with NFC. Braided USB-C cable, kind of a cool connector here for the glasses. The reason you have a design like this is so you can continue to use the glasses while they're charging. Cleaning cloth, some extra nose pieces. So, this is the case design, very brick-like, squared-off. And inside we have the glasses and a little mesh pocket. You can store your cable in there or added accessories. So, here's the glasses and you can see we

have this circular style frame. So, the displays are housed in the lenses themselves. They're kind of tough to spot, easier when they're turned on, but that's the idea. They just blend in, very bendable arm pieces depending on your head size. And then you can see your contact points here for your charger, which fits on there. And because of the way that the cable comes down back behind your ear, that's what's going to enable you to actually wear the things and charge them at the same time if you need to. Now, another consideration, at least compared to other smart glasses, the fact that these don't try to include a camera. They are not a recording threat. But it don't. Very science fiction. I

can see my green display now. So, here we have our home panel. We can see the charge on the glasses, as well as upcoming things. So, like food festival, June 12th, Michael's birthday June 14th. We have idea notes. Recorder is here. The audio input can be either the glasses or the phone. We have our translator from Cantonese to English, close captions, teleprompter, which is like magic, maps. So, I want to try out the teleprompter first. I'm going to hit the play button here, and immediately I have it in front of me. Blueberries are widely distributed in widespread group of perennial flowering plants with blue or purple berries. They are classified in the section Cyanococcus

Cyanococcous within the genus Vaccinium. That's kind of ridiculous how smooth it is. Also, I'm sure you indulge in wild Canadian lowbush blueberries. Delicious. Unbelievable. Like a totally different thing. My voice is triggering the movement, so I'm not having to have any kind of manual trigger. It's just happening in real time as I'm saying. That's why I can read so smoothly and and quickly, cuz it's doing the scroll as I'm reading. It's very cool and extremely useful. Okay, let's try the translator while we're here. We're going to do Cantonese to English.

Are you going to the US tomorrow? Yes, I am going to the US tomorrow. Actually, the road trip may start tonight, but I'll definitely not be crossing the border until it's tomorrow. Where to eat tomorrow? It's a good question. I don't know. I'm going to Cincinnati. I'm going to need some suggestions. I don't know what to get in Cincinnati. When am I coming back? On Monday, I guess, or Sunday night. Look it, we're doing it, man, in real time. So, now I'm going to be speaking in English, and then that's going to be getting translated into Cantonese. Look at that right there. So, that's another one where being in the glasses is kind of the best place to be. So, you don't lose your engagement with the individual on

the other end. Both of you don't have to be looking through the phone. Captions would work the same way. We've also got our recorder built in, so I can go ahead and make a recording with the glasses, click to pause, double click to mark, and I can trigger this at any point in time, in the middle of a meeting or something, in order to remember what we're talking about in a lecture, if I want to record, like I'm at school, I need to record a lecture or lesson. The other cool thing is I will get an AI summary for whatever it was that was talked about. So, if I do record that lecture meeting, then I'm going to have a summary in here of everything that was talked about. Of course, you can also use voice wake up, which is disabled by default, and you

trigger the glasses with hi memo. Hi What is the tallest point in the world? Mount Everest. Sweet. So, some options for you. You either go with the voice-based or you're even more covert just with the little tiny button. What is the capital of Myanmar? Oh, now I have to try to pronounce that. How do I pronounce the capital of Myanmar? Nay pyi daw. Any pronunciation closer to Naypyidaw? Oh, Naypyidaw. But really, this is the simplest input. Tapping the button will bring me through my different screens, and then the press and hold triggers the AI. And I just hold as long as I want to talk, I release when I'm done talking,

and then I get my answer. What is the best-selling beverage in the world? Water is the most consumed and best-selling beverage in the world. Essential for human survival and daily hydration. Among commercial beverages, Coca-Cola is the best-selling soft drink worldwide. And this, there's so much contrast on this thing, it doesn't matter what I'm looking at. The only thing I know is like, what if I want to trigger navigation? I have to go to the app for that? I'd like to record a voice note. Oh, we're straight in. Now we're recording the voice note. This is just good for ideas. Help me navigate to the

Rogers Centre. I mean this is would be a really long walk what I've set up here. And also I can toggle between like walking or cycling. And you can set up your favorites as well. You can set up your home company or other favorites. Because of the way they've designed the cord and the ability to keep them on your face, plug it into the phone, I get a prompt and now I know that I'm charging. And like this takes up almost no space in your bag. It could you could even just put it in your pocket. So a couple days later and a couple days of use and specifically with a focus on Memo Plus, which is this kind of passive computing. When you're wearing these glasses, they have the capability to kind of record moments,

dialogue, conversations, and without being triggered, turn that into a catalog or chapters of things that have happened. Like passive note taking without any kind of initiation from you. June 22nd, today's overview and highlights. Yesterday's threads, today's response, work and tech focus. You coordinated the unboxing shoot and clarified how hashtags and links should be placed across platforms with the team screen sharing and waiting in the brands reply. Today felt like a day firmly in motion. Wrapping up a checkout, coordinating a FedEx pickup. The focus is on prepping for a US trip.

Snippets from the FIFA World Cup, high energy rap versus emotional state, memorable moments. This can be really interesting when you're searching back through your memory for a particular marker. Like who was that person or who said what or what was it that they said exactly? I know for myself one of the biggest issues with keeping notes or keeping data. So there you have it, a different option for those looking to have some intelligence in the form of a wearable. These are some of the least obtrusive, most acceptable variants utilizing these simplified displays and really honing in on a couple of functions like recording things, translating things, and then of course the intelligence associated with

the AI. You bake in a little bit of navigation and you get a tiny little form factor with an equally tiny charge cable to go with it that can charge off of your phone. Plus with these ones, they have custom looks. So you have different frames to choose from. I know for me when I'm kind of looking at the marketplace and imagining what that futuristic wearable is, what are people willing to accept socially, this type of wearable feels a little bit closer to something that people would be willing to wear on a daily basis.
