Okay, I'm going to take you back. I'm going to get your clothes changed. Then you'll meet with Dr. Amron. He's going to mark your body. Okay. He's going to take photographs. Yes. Going to walk you into the operating room. Uh you're awake when you go in. Of course, no worries. You're great hand. Dr. Hamron does this all the time. He's excellent at what he does. It's like his forte. I was in Beverly Hills about to have a plastic surgery operation. For several weeks, I've been meeting the people of Southern California for whom looking
their best involves regular trips to the surgeon. Wow, look at that. It's amazing what you can do with removal of a little bit of skin. So, you generally never want to do the butt itself. I almost never do the butt. They claim that by changing our outer appearance, we can also change our innermost feelings. I'm happy. There not many guys with 50 who look that good. And now I would be finding out firsthand. Lisa, come on back, honey. How are you? My journey began at the offices of Dr. Stuart Linda, a boardcertified plastic surgeon whose life's work is creating perfect bodies for the women of America.
Pleasure to meet you. What brings you in today? What are you thinking about? I'm thinking about lipo suction and um boob implants. You got it. What do you think your breast size is currently? Probably a 36B. Um what size are you hoping to go to? Around a D. Okay. A D. Double D. A double D. That's quite big, isn't it? Well, she's she's a tall lady. What is it that's made you decide to do this?
Um, I've always thought of it and now I'm going to be 30 and I figure you only live once. Why not? Yeah. Let's go ahead and take a look at you if I may. Open it. Excellent. Please. Okay. Excellent. So, you I'm going to look away. You have a little bit of skin laxity here. How are you feeling? Good. She's excited. She's ready to rock and roll. Yeah. Tomorrow we're going to have fun. How are you feeling? I'm ready to roll. He's always ready to go.
Come on in. This is our consultant's office. These are just examples of some of the patients that I've operated on. Um Wow. The Are you operated on all the women in these pictures? Correct. And their models, many of them. Yes. How does it make you feel looking at these beautiful women that you've helped achieve augmented breasts? I am a perfectionist with breasts, just as Picasso or Michelangelo. I truly am a perfectionist. This is my whole life and I want absolute perfection. So I go underneath the nipple and it allows me to get the folds even the nipples in
the correct position and place the implants quickly and efficiently perfectly every time. So it's not all god-given beauty. Some of it's Linda given. Do the best I can. Dr. Linda brings a touch of Hollywood glamour to the everyday women who visit him. They come hoping that an improved figure will at the least boost their confidence and maybe change their lives. Look at the difference in the shape. Honey, you see the difference? Yeah. This is moderate. These are the outdated ones. First of all, the young lady has quite saggy breasts. She has what we call grade threetosis. Grade threetosis
can only be corrected with a total breast lift. We do over a thousand implants a year. Um, that is my forte. Okay. And you're Adriana. I'm Adriana. And what do you do here? I run his front office. I help him with the patients as you saw before. I come back and I help him with the dressings and all that. I understand you recently had a surgery on your tummy. Tummy tech. Yeah, I had the tummy tech and the redone of the breast at the same time. And what's the tummy look like now?
The tummy is now flatter. I am so happy. I'm 26 years old. I had a little bulge going on right just about here and I couldn't get rid of it with t with sit-ups or a personal trainer and wow he has magical hands and I how long ago did you get that tummy done? This is about 11 weeks out and what is that mark down there? This is the full scar. It goes from hip to hip but you know I'm okay with it. Sometimes you got to have to give something to get a little back and that will gradually go. It takes about a year. It takes about a year to heal the tummy. You see your tummy. So, does that mean he made you a new belly button?
He made a new belly button. I have a new belly button. It's virgin again. Where's the old belly button gone? Well, it came out with the skin. So, all he does is just re redo the hole. A little new brand new hole right here. It's so smooth, isn't it? Yes, it is. Touch. Okay. I can touch. Yes, you can touch. Go ahead. Wow. It's so smooth, Dr. Linda. Oh, wow. Thank you so much.
It's so smooth. I let him touch. So far so good. Happy. Well, you actually made a new belly button. Well, we what we do is we make a new hole and the same belly button goes through the new position through a new hole. Wow. That's considered standard in the United States. Lipo on the inner outer thighs, which you know, kind of Yeah. Is it a requirement of working here that you should have to have a perfect body? Absolutely not. No. But it helps. What can I tell you? The area around Dr. Linda's office is home to some of America's wealthiest and most adventurous plastic surgeons. If you're shopping for the perfect body, this is where you come.
My next stop was with a specialist from Russia, Dr. Nicholas Chug. Well, hello. Are you Dr. Chug? I am Dr. Chugay. How do you do? Nice to meet you. What is your name? Louie. It's a pleasure. Thank you. Should we come in? Please come in. This is my office. Yes. This is where I do my best work. Is it? Yes. Talking to my patients. So, what is it you do, Dr. Chug, if I may ask?
Well, I do uh a lot of body sculpting surgery. So, I'd say that's sort of my specialty. Yes. And it's whether it's spectral augmentation or glutius enlargement or calf enlargement. So for men that would be to give the impression of muscles here. The schwarzenegger look. Schwartzenegger look. I would be curious if I came to you and I said I'd like to improve my appearance. Um could you make any suggestions and you would look at me and what would you say and without fear of hurting my feelings in any way? Probably I might reduce the nose just a tiny bit. The projection of the nose even though you have a strong face. Uh still it's it's a pretty strong nose. So just a tiny bit reduce the projection on
the nose. You have a nice strong jawline. Uh your features are good features. And what is it about the work that you enjoy? You could not like your nose, have a big nose, and you can go and spend three years on a psychiatrist couch and you'd come out maybe liking your nose better. I can do that in one hour and you'll like your nose better. So that's that's that's the magic of plastic surgery. A regular patient of Dr. Chuggay named Steve Hehart had come in for a checkup. Tell me a little about Steve. Well, Steve and I have known each other for how many years still now?
Um, probably 15 years now. Yeah. And uh Steve has had quite a number of procedures done that I've done for him and uh we still see each other quite a bit. Yeah. Are you comfortable showing off your physique, Steve? Certain parts? Yeah, certain parts. Okay. Pectoral implants, bicep implants. Yeah. And has all the work been done by Dr. Chu Gain? Except for a couple of my very early surgeries back in 1987. May I ask your age, Steve?
I'm I never talk about my age, but I'm approaching a half a century old. Quite remarkable in a way. Is it fair to say that Steve is kind of a creation of yours, Dr. Chuk? That's right. It's a pig million complex. It's a collaboration. It is. And it truly is a collaboration. And looking at Steve, are you pleased with the results? Yes, I am. You're very proud. Yes. I think he's done well. You know, he's aged well. Do you Does the roundedness here, the slightly feminine cast of that bother you at all?
Well, they're not perfect, but they're there. Right. Why have you done it? Small things bother me in a bigger way than they do most people. Like if there were bags under my eyes, I really don't feel I could live with it. It would be difficult for me to live with it. So just remove them and get on My last appointment of the day was with Laura Noblin, an office equipment lease administrator. Laura had retained a $2,000 a day image consultant named Eve Michaels. On Eve's recommendation, she was about to transform herself through a series of
surgical procedures. She'll feel a lot more confident to wear it afterward, right? Yeah. Would you, Laura? Mhm. And would you like to wear it right now? I mean, yeah. I like this look and everything, but right now I would have a little too much hanging out of the bottom. Well, just looks pretty good. Not bad. Bit too tight like that. When all this comes in and this in here and this is smaller, it will drop down differently. Do you think you'll feel better after the surgery? Will I? Oh, yeah. I can't wait for that surgery. Why? I'm going to be able to wear all these clothes and they're going to look perfect the way they're supposed to.
They're not going to catch and that will make you feel better about yourself. Mhm. Do you think? How do you know that? Because I just know. It's one of the reasons I want the brow lift. Yeah. Because she looks a little stern. Have you noticed? A little quiet. A little energyy's down. And when we lift up the brow, what she'll start seeing is a person who's got more of a wow expression. What about the And then why the breasts then confidence. You see bigger breasts, more confidence. No, we don't want to focus on the size.
We're doing bigger so that she doesn't have to wear a bra all the time. Right now they're a bit saggy, so she really doesn't look good without a bra. But it's when she makes love, they're uneven. More than anything else, then you are making them, you are making them a little bigger. Well, since we're going to be there, why not? We're going to, you know, she's getting them lifted. I want to go a little fuller because she can now that she's paying, she can have her wish list. Oh, okay. Oh, all right. Let me instead of doing this, even with a push-up bra, may I?
Yeah. It's going to be more like this up. And her cleavage will come high. Back at her apartment, I was curious about something Eva had told me had happened the night before that seemed to throw some light on Laura's decision to go under the knife. Am I right in thinking you've just split up from your boyfriend, Laura? Um, yeah, I've been um, you know, with him about eight years off and on. we work together. So, it's uh it's been a challenging thing for me, but um yeah, I've just kind of, you know, had some conversations and I've just realized, you know what, it's been eight years. I'm ready to move on. And that just happened.
Mhm. So, I need to, you know, take care of myself and move on. You say you Why are you applauding that? Yay. I'm so proud of you. Yay. Thanks. That was a big thing for Laura. That was a big step for her. Don't you start. Okay. I was crying last night. I get too close. Huh? No. I love my clients. I want Laura to feel so fabulous with her that no guy is the cause or the affirmation or the whatever of her self-esteem that she is that she loves herself so much. She feels so good about herself that she will be the princess and you will have your prince. Right? And any guy who doesn't see that beauty in her. Next. Right. What's our four-letter word? Next.
Early the next day. And I had a full schedule of operations to attend. First up, leading breast surgeon, Dr. Linda. Is Dr. Linda around? Yes, he is. He's in his office. I'm back. Well, I need to get everything. So, first I'm going to get your breath. Legs apart, arms out. One. Arms away from your sides. Go ahead. Gown up. Ready. You're okay. Yeah. You look a little white. Do I? Yeah. Oh my word. I'm not going to faint or anything. We have smelling salt for this guy in case he falls over. And we are starting.
You can put the music up. And here we go. I'm injecting under the nipple. And then I'm going to inject some portions of the medial breast and underneath the inframameary fold here. Good. Excellente. Bravo. Implant going in. That's it. It's in. Marcane is in. Take that. We're filling it up to 600. First breast done. How about that? What will that take? Seriously, 15 minutes. Look at how beautiful this is. I mean, this is as this is playboy perfect. This is as natural but as voluupsuous as you can get. There's nothing better than this. Look at that.
Here's our second implant going in 550 filling it up to 600 cc's. And here's our Marcane, which is an anesthetic solution. New breasts. New Beverly Hills breasts. Thank you, doctor. For you, that was another day in the office. But what I saw was a patient who I don't know. I mean, it's a big thing, surgery. You know what I mean? It's a life and death thing. It can be. That's why you have to make sure the doctors are absolutely the best taking care of you. And how was that for you? That was what like water off a duck's back.
You take every surgery as totally serious. It's all real surgery. But again, surgeons who are well trained and who do the same surgeries year after year, thousands and thousands do these operations just as a brick layer lays bricks and plumber fixes plumbing and pipe fitters fix you know fit pipes. We do I do these surgeries. Do you think you might have just changed her life? Always. We always change lives. Upstairs, I wanted to speak to Dr. Linda's receptionist, Adriana, about a rumor I'd heard.
Is it true that you're thinking of having another procedure? Yes. I actually am actually in um actually in the bookings for this um coming Friday. I'm going in for some lipo on the flanks. Really? Yes. I don't think there's anything left. I don't think there's anything left on the flanks. There actually is. There's um a little bulge right here that you really can't do with exercise too much. And I'm going to have that smoothed it out. So where it's we're like this. And let me see the other side. Same side. See? So just those two little those two pudgies right there.
Love handles, if you will. Yes. I want them gone. Why? Because I don't like them there because they make me in they make me uh wonder about my you know I wear tight fitted clothes. You kind of see a little You can't see them, though. Well, I But I can't. And what matters is that I can see them. It's not so much that anybody else can see them as that I can see them. And that's that's enough. You know, they're there. Yes. Have you asked Bree's advice about her lipo suction? She I actually do think she needs it.
Just a little tiny bit on the side just to even it out from her tummy tuck. Yes. Dr. Bree's advice and Dr. Lner's advice would recommended that I really go and do as much as I could on my own to get better result. her nose done, too. Did she tell you that? Oh, yeah. You're not. I am. She's She's one of our plastic surgery addicts. Are you getting your nose done for real? I am. I'm going to go get the bulge fixed right here. The bulge. And the my nose kind of goes down. So, I'm going to go get that fixed. Just lift up a little bit. And what do you think about that, Bri? I'm not going to tell her no. It's her body. She's a perfectionist. She's looking to achieve or at least feel comfortable in her body. I mean, she doesn't need it. I don't think she needs
it, but she doesn't like the way that her nose um photos. So, it does give it gives you character. That's all I'm going to say. It does give you character. I just don't like how it photos. I feel that it's it's very noticeable, you know, and I can see it. Like I said, as long as I could see it, you know, I think that's that's what bothers, you know. Thank God for plastic surgeons. That's why they're here, you know, that's why they were invented. That's why they study and they go so, you know, they work so hard to be so great at what they do.
A little later, I checked in with Dr. Chug. His patient was a German-born food and beverage manager whose given name was Adolf Lice and was now going by Adrien Davidson. Are you Adrien? Yeah. I'm Louis. Hi. How do you do? Fine. Nice to meet you. So did you have you had all your plastic surgery done with Dr. Chugay? Yeah, he did this one and he did the liposuction. He did this one meaning he did this one chest augmentation on just one side.
No, both mean both. Yeah, he did. Can we see that? Yeah. See, see, but now it doesn't match the arms anymore. You see there's nothing left, right? And am I right in thinking you've had a tummy tuck there? Yeah, right here. How recently did you get that done? Uh about uh 3 months ago. Yeah. You see, it's still in a healing process. Yeah. Could I touch your muscle? I know that's a little odd, but you see it's it's quite hard. And if you flex it, you can flex him here. You see it's still So what's happening today then?
They're cutting under his knees here. Yeah. And go under your muscle. Yeah. And put an implant in there. Yeah. And so it basically will be bigger. Really? So you'll look like you got big muscles. A little bit bigger. Yeah. But at least you create more symmetry matching both together. Today we're going to make him look like uh Schwartzenegger. Okay. Now, flex your arm for me, Adrian. That's here. Dr. And so, is Adrien a good patient for you?
Oh, I think Adrien is a wonderful patient. He's very compliant. He's very conscientious. He takes good care of himself after surgery. So, he's really an ideal patient. And is he create and is he creating a look and a self, you know, physical self that's in that's his idea or that's your idea? Because I know you like to collaborate with your patients, don't you? I think it usually is a joint effort. You know, the patients wants a certain look and they'll say, "G, you know, what can you do to make me achieve that look?
You know, I'd like to look a little bit better built up, and I don't want to spend 5 hours a day working out. Well, whose turn to pray today? Lety. Lety, why don't you say a little prayer? God, we thank you for this day you give us. We ask you to bless us, bless our patients, take care of them, protect their lives. We ask you to just help us through this day and help us to be better persons. Amen. The next day and Laura was about to begin her program of self transformation. This time I was hoping to get in on the act and find out if I might be a candidate for something. We were starting with lipos suction specialist Dr. David Amron.
Hello. Hi Laura. Hi. How are you doing? Good. How you feeling? Hi Eve. Hi. How are you? Good to see you again. Nice to meet you. Thank you. I'm Louis. How do you do? Hi Louis. You must be Dr. Amron. Yes. Nice to meet you. How do you do? Anyway, uh how are you? Good. Yeah. Feel good. Ready to go? Okay. Go ahead and just remove the blue gown. Okay. Put this down. Pretty underwear.
Let's just lower this just a hair. What you're doing now, Dr. Emerron, is what exactly? Well, I'm marking out the areas that I'm doing the lipos section on. Everybody has their own fancy way of going about doing their markings. You know, I mark the area that I'm doing and I mark the high points and my access points, and that to me is the guide that I use. Go ahead and turn around and face the wall. Okay. Her legs are great. Her inner thighs are great. She's a little full in her upper outer thighs over here. This area called a saddle bag region. This is what's defining her widest point. By just bringing this in a little bit, it's
going to give her a better line so she's not so poochy in this area over here. Also, this hip and flank area needs to be brought down. Um, so you generally never want to do the butt itself. I almost never do the butt, but you do around the butt to give a better shape to the butt and make the butt actually look more round by bringing this area down here. Was that weird for you going through that? I just No, not really. I knew he was going to mark me, so drawn on. We didn't mean to objectify you. No, no, I like to hear what he's saying. So, I'm excited. Do you um operate on and do liposuction on guys as well?
Uh yeah, absolutely. I would say that about 25 maybe as much as 30% of people I do are men. And so you would in theory, I'm not saying, you know, it's appropriate now, but uh be able to size me up and tell me whether or not I might be an appropriate candidate for a procedure like in about 10 seconds. Yeah. Very quickly, I can look and tell. She's no good. Apparently, I'm just trying to turn and face the wall. Okay. See, here's this. This is very good. This is a very good thing to talk about. you're a pretty good candidate and I'm going to explain to you why you're a pretty good candidate.
You've got some fullness in your stomach and some fullness in your flanks. Okay. Now, some of this is fat between the skin and muscle and some of this is just being a little bit you maybe a little bit out of shape, maybe a couple pounds of weight that you can lose by losing some weight. If you lose some weight, it's going to all come down for sure. Yes. But you've got a layer of fat between your skin and muscle. It's about that thick. Also in your flank area as you turn around there is also some fullness here. You've got a great V over here and you've got this bulging that occurs in the what is this area called? Love handles as we call it in America. What do you call it in England?
Love handles. Okay. But what liposuction is going to do? It's going to reduce that layer and make it much. We are just loving this. We are loving this. Now do you understand how we feel? On the other have you ever had it done yourself? I haven't. No. Would I? I would, but I actually am about eight or 10 pounds overweight and could be in better shape, but when I'm close to my ideal body weight, I'm actually very proportionate. So, I just need to lose weight. It's actually a mistake to do it on me. Dr. Remron began by numbing the incision points through which Laura's fat would be extracted. So what I'm doing now is I'm putting that tumescent fluid in Laura. And then he used tumescent fluid to
anesthetize the target areas and dislodge the fat, making it easier to suck out. Later, Laura went in for her breast augmentation. You see, you have a little bit of uh droopiness. So, we're going to do a little bit of lift. It's just going to get up like that. So, the scar is just going to be around the areola. Yep. Going to see what makes them look the most even or a size. Is that quite a common size to want to be? Pull C, small D. And finally, she had her brow lift, stretching her forehead upwards to open up her eyes and eyebrows.
Will those bumps go down? Yes, they'll go down. As soon as we go inside and remove some of the fluid, they'll all go away. And I'm putting my finger in here just to feel what I call my release right there. And boom. By now, I'd spent a couple of weeks immersed in the world of plastic surgery. The idea of it no longer seemed far-fetched. Encouraged by my consultation with Dr. to Amron and reassured by everyone that it was a normal and relatively risk-free thing to do, I'd booked myself in for lipo. Good to see you. But first, I had an invitation from Dr. Linda to watch him operating on his receptionist, Adriana, who having had her lipo, now needed one of her breasts lifted.
Nice to see you. Look at you. Hi. You look different. I do. I am. I should look different. I hope so. But I look different. What's the Let me see. You had your nose done. Yes, I did. How about that? Let me see that from the side. My nose was broken from the top. Yeah. So, he smoothed the bottom. He smooth smoothed a little right here. And then he just slightly lifted the top, which is was really bugging me. If you remember, it had it kind of went down like a parrot a lot. So, I it smooth it down. It looks really good. Yeah. No, I know you want me to go with you.
I'm sorry. I love you. Say hello. Let's do this. Let's finally excited. I'm thrilled. It's a little surreal, is it? Like here I actually am and this actually really is happening. Yeah. But you'll be sleeping through it. Yeah, exactly. And then you know I'm in the best hands and Dr. Linder's the best and I would never go to anybody else but him. Rebecca, would you like to bring her back so I may mark and photograph the young lady? Thank you so much. Nothing. Let's get you marked. Here we go. And all right, her right breast is really perky. So, we're not touching this today. We'll just do this one.
Perk is what you want to be, is it? Yes. Yes, I do. Say I got the best doctor, best boss. Okay. And let me just take a quick look at that. Wow, look at that. This is amazing. They must be It's amazing what you can do with removal of a little bit of skin. Adriana's breasts must be like old friends by now. Well, okay. And then she wants me to open up her little tummy, belly button a little bit here. So, I figured I'd do this. What the heck? I'm under general, so I'll do a Vlasty.
You can put the music up. Feel free. See how that tightened her up? L. Look at that. See the difference? Small difference, but that's going to really tight. Now they're going to be perfect. I love that. Is there a point at which a patient or a person should really stop? you know, when enough is enough and they need to stop having procedures, you know, the so-called plastic surgery addict or junkie. Yeah, I we don't see too many of those. Thankfully, I don't have those in my practice. Too many of a vital straight out.
No, I'm only getting at that point because I mean Adriana has had I think she said five or six procedures. So that seems relatively high, but you obviously made a determination that this was But what? Well, her breasts aren't symmetric. They're different. I'm not making her breast bigger again today. I'm just trying to make them even. Yeah. Does that make sense? Yeah. I mean, one breast is sagging, the other one is tight. Doesn't look the same. She doesn't want to have different appearing breasts. When you first met Adriana, she would have had a different physical
appearance and the new her that you've helped create. Is it She's happy, man. This is a such a happy person. I got to tell you personally, every day at the office, this girl is happy as can be. Yeah. I mean, she's really, really sweet. She feels great. She's so happy about her image and her the way she feels about herself. Have you contributed to her happiness? Unquestionably, we have. Of course we have. She has a better self-image of her body.
Look at this stomach, man. This is a flat, beautiful stomach. Her stomach had like skin hanging like you have no idea. I mean, women care about how they look in the United States. I'm not sure how they care if they look how they in London. They may not care about their appearance, but the hell do in this city. So, anyway, HEADLIGHT OFF. YEAH. GO BRITS. All right. Here we are. Did nature get something wrong when nature made women? You know, you know what I mean? Well, in Los Angeles, obviously, women feel that uh nature did something wrong.
I'm not the judge of what is right or wrong. Only God is. I am just here to help in a system that we have at this stage, especially in Los Angeles, to make women feel good about themselves if this is what they want to do. In a way, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy that the more women whose breasts you augment, then the people with the flat breasts or the small breasts will feel maybe a little bit inadequate. I totally agree with you. You're right. So, you're part of the Could is it fair to say the cycle? And I totally agree with that.
How do you feel about that? I feel that's the way life is. Life goes on. It is what it is. So you're saying if no women had breast implants, they didn't exist, then women would just be happy with the way they are and life would go on as this and who would need this operation. People wouldn't be insecure. Welcome to Los Angeles. Welcome to Hollywood. Welcome to Beverly Hills. It's never going to change. And you're happy to be part of that? I'm very happy to help women feel better about themselves and improve their self-esteem every single day.
We just agreed that part of that was making other people not feel good about themselves who haven't had the implants. Go home. Good one. Get some sleep. You do it like this over here. No, I don't do that. No, I'm a normal American. I shake hands. Take care. Thank you, honey. Bye, honey. Bye, Adriana. The look of love is in your eyes. A look, your smile. It was my operation day. I was making my bid to join the legions of beautiful people for whom happiness comes from knowing that they look their absolute best.
I had my doubts about whether it would work for me, but I was willing to give it a chance. Hi. I'm Joanne. I'm going to be one of your nurses. Oh, hi. How you doing? Nice to meet you. Are you by yourself or you have anybody else with you? Yes, I've got these guys with me. Okay. But no family or anything. Okay. I'm going to take you back. We're going to get you all checked in and we'll go from there. Okay. Thank you.
Okay. Come on. Yep. Hi Louie. Hi. How are you doing? How are you? Good. Good to see you again. Good. Thank you. Good to see you. How are you feeling right now? Feeling pretty good. Well, but you know, I haven't been eating or drinking anything all day and perhaps a tiny bit tiny teeny tiny bit of trepidation perhaps about going under the knife. You'll do great. Don't worry about things. Thank you. Um, now, you know, we talked about taking some volume beforehand. Um, you know, if you want, you can have some you'll probably find you'll do fine without it.
Yes. I think it's probably better that Let's try it without it. Yeah. Yeah, I think you'll do fine without it. Put your arms straight out in front of you. Very good. And relax your stomach completely. Go ahead and do the same thing to the other side. All the way around. Very good. You're not allowed to touch anything blue. Okay. Okay. So, you're just going to follow me. Okay. So, I'm going have you step on the blue sheet and turn. Don't touch the bed. Okay.
Okay. Lou, go ahead and drop your gown. Okay. Ready? I'm ready. Cuz we know that you really like those undies. So, it's on you. How am I doing so far? So far, you get an A. You're doing great. Okay, Lou, we're going to start putting the numbing solution in. Just relax. You'll do great. Now, this part where you're going to feel a little pinching as a solution goes in. Okay. [snorts] So, this part's not the most exciting to really excitement is not actually the watch word. This is a what's called infiltration canula.
This is a it's a very thin little metal straw. It's got a blunt end to it. So, it's not sharp at all. And there's some little tiny holes there that allow the fluid to come out of it. Basically, sort of like, you know, I'll turn it on slightly. You can see it starts to spray out of there a little bit like that. So, it's kind of just slowly seeping into the fat. You'll see once we start the liposuction, it's it's completely easy. This is the uncomfortable part. And you're Yeah. And you're doing a great job. It's kind of weird that I feel occasional pinching, right? And then I feel almost it's it's more it's hard to describe, but it's like I can feel the sensation of the canula going in, right?
Almost like I can hear it. It's I can sense the vibrations of it, but I can't really feel it. So, I know something's happening. Right now, this area is a little more sensitive out here. Okay. Yeah. This upper stomach area is probably the most sensitive on the body. Do you definitely have to do that bit? I definitely would like to blend this whole area in. So, we're almost done with this. But this upper abdominal area has more fibrous tissue in it, more connective tissue. And so, it's sort of
harder for the fluid to work its way in. Okay. And uh and separate the tissue apart. So, you feel a little more stinging as it's going in. Yeah. Sorry, a little poke there. Great. We're done with the numbing. Okay. Okay, great. So, what's happening now? I'm going to start the liposuction. Okay, light a little better. Oh, that's nice. Perfect. So, it's now happening. Yep. It's now happening. You see this? This is it.
See that? Wow. That's the good stuff. See the color of that? That's the good stuff. You see how nice and pure this is? There's no bleeding in it. That's because of this way of doing it. Look at that. So that's the first pressing. Yeah. Extra virgin. That's right. So, how's it feel? Feels um it's not painful in the least. Uh it's weird knowing what you're doing and then knowing that you're doing it to me. You know, that's a strange thought, but as far as um it's it's like you're scrubbing me with a brush from the insides is what it feels like. Wow. Kind of strange feeling, huh?
It's It's quite weird. Yeah. How's it going so far? Fantastically. Is it you seeing more or less what you expected? Honestly, probably a little more fats coming out than I expected. Really? Yeah. You've got a decent layer of fat here. You're obviously a talented doctor and you could have chosen any branch of any specialism to go into and um some people would say, you know, that this is of the things you could be doing. It's a relatively um what would you say relatively superficial Yeah. thing to focus on. Uh yeah. And sometimes um sometimes I feel that sometimes I feel like it's it's you're not saving lives in this field. I mean ironically the other field of medicine I was
considering going into was emergency medicine really. So what are the satisfactions in this one if it's not saving lives? I think it's it's doing a great job at what I do. It's providing you know I'm providing a service. Do you consider yourself more of a uh of a scientist or more of an artist? Uh I both, but I guess more of an artist. So what I'm doing now, Louie, is I'm using my noisy spatula canula. I use this at the surface of the skin to make sure everything is smooth. You got to rasp evenly and use an instrument like this.
And you can probably sort of feel that. You can sort of feel that rasping feeling, right? Yeah. Guess what? We're done. That was pretty smooth. Thank you. You did a great job. Okay. Anyway, I'll leave you with Pat and Joanne. I'll see you in a few minutes in recovery room. Okay. Sounds good. Sometimes it squirts out like a little fountain, does it? Mhm. That's it. Swing your legs over to the side here.
It's weird like just being aware of him chiseling away, you know. Exactly. Knowing what is going on is probably the odd the idea of it because people's minds start to work. I know. And even though you don't feel something, it's just kind of weird. And he's taking a part of he's he took a part of me out of me. He did. Yikes. So, is it fat at the top or then at the bottom it's the red tinged too much of fluid? Fluid. But this also has fat in it. It's about, you remember I told you how much I thought we'd get about 300 cc's on you. That's about five or he is.
Yeah. That's about dressing or something. Yeah. Wow. That came out of me. Came out of you. Yeah. He says it's an odd idea that you took something out of him. Yeah. And it's a funny color, is it for a human being? It's more like chicken fat, isn't it? Goodbye. Yeah. Thank you so much. Call this evening. Great job. Okay. By the way, take care. You did a great job, too. You were very calm and relaxed. Thank you.
No, you really were. Back at my hotel and I was wearing a surgical corset padded with six panty liners to keep the tumescent fluid from leaking. I felt relieved it was all over and curious whether the results would make it worth it. After a few days convolesing, I went to visit Dr. Chug's patient Adrian to see his results. I'm feeling great. Nice to see you. How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. You can tell it's Look, there's not much. Yeah.
Limited movement. Can we Are you wearing a t-shirt? Yeah, I'm wearing a t-shirt. You see, if I take it off, you little see a little scar if you go in the light. You see? Whoa. That's it. It's not much. If it's all right with you, because you know it was about symmetricality, wasn't it? You Can we see the whole package? The whole package. Here we go. What do you think? I'm happy. There are many guys with 50 who look that good. What do you think? You know the only thing that is the little bit the gap there.
Yeah. He noticed it because what sometime would happen implants can be pushy and go to a certain direction and it can be corrected like you see when I push hold it in like that. Yeah. You see? And so that what he wants to do is he wants to close the pocket. When you do that, they're they're they're widening out, aren't they? You see, it's too wide. See this? That's good. Do it like that. Yeah. Then you could go around. You could go around like walking like this the whole time.
Yeah. Did you know I'd had some uh lipo suction? May I show you? You did. And are you happy? Yeah. May I show you? Yeah, that's cool. Are you still wearing your belt? Yeah. How long ago did you do yours? A week. Oh, did Dr. Chug do it? Well, you [snorts] mustn't tell Dr. Chug about this. Are you happy? It still hurts. Little bit. Little bit swollen. Yeah, I know it still looks a bit plump, but that's swelling, I think. Yeah, but you wait six weeks. The next thing you know I have to do is you still have to do some tightening.
You have to do some crunches. Situps and tighten it all up and then you will see it goes all the way. So, how long did you wait between the lipo and the tummy tuck? Six months. So, you did the lipo, waited six months, did the tummy tuck? Yeah. I wanted to heal everything and see how much skin really should be removed after all the swelling goes back, you know. Now, you've had quite a bit of work done. Yeah. Do you feel that now you finished? Basically, I'm finished. Yeah. Except that uh touch up here. I'm done. I don't want anymore. That's it. Because if you count everything together from the top of the
eye, the bottom of the eye, the cheek implant, the whole facial filler, the chest implant, the tummy tuck, the lipo suction, the biceps. Besides 50,000 bucks, it also cost a lot of pain. Some people would watch this and think, you know, that's um that's a lot of money to spend on something and it's just vanity really. And do you really look that much better? Is it worth it for me? Yes. If people don't see behind why I cannot given that knowledge or that feeling why he did it. They see only the plain fact what is presented on the TV. But if they would take the time and maybe read between the line, if you get for 10, 15 years told everybody you're an ugly bastard,
what happens? You start believing it. But who's been telling you for 10 or 15 years you're an ugly bastard? My stepfather when you were growing up. Yeah. It sounds like what you are trying to fix is something internal, something inside yourself and external. So, so maybe you know going the physical route, yeah, is avoiding the real issue. No, I went to therapy. I'm done with my morning period, whatever you want to call it, with the self-pity, with being different than other kids. That was then because I learned that I can turn this negative around to studying, to learning. I can be
better. And now having changed your exterior, does it make you feel different? Yeah, it's changed a lot for me. I mean, really. And that's because of how you feel about the way you look. Yeah. First, I drive the Volkswagen and now I drive a Mercedes. I'd also had a call from Eve to say that Laura's transformation was complete. I was invited to inspect the results and there was a suggestion that Laura's onoff boyfriend Brian might make an appearance. It's Louis in the BBC. Lou, hello. Nice to see you. Nice to see you, too. Mhm. Lipstick kiss. How's it going?
Great. So exciting moment. The grand unveiling. Yes. Do you know what to expect? No. Well, no, not really. I mean, I know what she's had. Where is Laura? She's in the other room. Should I go get her? Yeah. Okay. Everything okay? Here she is. Wow. Come on in. She's ready for a night on the town. Look at you. Ready? Want to turn around? Show them your beautiful body. Look how swelt she is. And she healed beautifully.
Like a different person. Yes. And very How do you feel, Laura? Oh, I feel amazing. I just It's like a lot to get used to. Yes. She stops traffic now. When we go out, guys turn around and look at her. Have you ever had that happen before? No. Let's just look at it in the mirror now. We'll just drink it all in. Okay. And then we see this. How do you feel? you know, looking at the new you, does it match the sense of how you feel on the inside?
You know what I mean? In other words, have you kind of got used to it? I'm I'm getting used to it. It's a lot to take in. Yes. So, I definitely I don't think it's all hit yet, but it's getting there. So, what does it mean? How do you feel when you see it then? Um I mean, look at yourself. What do you see? The main thing that [snorts] I see is now when I look in the mirror, I see like a beautiful sexy woman, whereas before I always saw like a cute little girl. So that's that's the main thing. So I'm like totally thrilled with it. Now, you could say that you now look like kind of like a lot of other attractive women that you might see anywhere in Beverly Hills. In a way, it's a more you could say it's a more conformist look like someone coming out
of a Shishi restaurant or someone in a magazine. Oh. I mean, do you feel like maybe you've lost your identity a little bit? No, not at all. You know, that you've kind of gone with I feel like I'm stepping into my true identity. I mean, there's there's going to be beautiful people anywhere, but now I'm one of them. Yay. Am I right in thinking Brian I mean cuz Brian's coming down here from what I understand. I mean, he lives upstairs, doesn't he?
Um, in another apartment, but he was I think he might am I right thinking he might be joining us? He I think he's coming down to see her. He hasn't seen her like this yet. We have a surprise for you. Hi. How are you? Hey, how you doing? Good. Nice to see you. Laura waiting. Yay. Hey. Wow. You look great. Want to see the back? Oh, yeah. Look beautiful. Thank you.
Do you I understand I know I mean I know this is a little personal. I know Laura and you were in a relationship on again off again a little bit for a number of years. Isn't that right? And you even engaged at one point? That's correct. And what about now? Um, we're both a lot more complete with ourselves now. And so I really see our relationship um developing as something a lot more than it's ever been. And this is a very different looking Laura to the one that you've known for many years. I mean, do you think it's an improved Laura? Oh, yeah. No. Yeah, absolutely. Why? Um I just think she looks beautiful and great and I like to see her um make you know making her you know bringing herself to her full potential.
Was that nice to hear that? Mhm. Why are you crying? Oh, I just makes me happy cuz I can see that he's really happy and I can just see it in his face. Thank you. You look great. I want to hear good. It seemed as though Laura's new look had won her man back, but I wondered whether it would really give her the inner changes she said she was looking for. My last stop was a checkup on my own progress with lipo specialist Dr. Amron. Louie, how are you doing? Yeah, good. I'm good. And yourself?
Yes. Very good. Yes. It's good. So, I'm wearing my corset. Um, as you can see, but I'm no longer wearing them any panty liners. Yeah. You're not draining, right? You know what I mean? Yeah. Come stand over here. Okay. Uh, put your arms up a little bit. And I'm going to tell you something. You used to have a good layer of fat on top of here, and there's no fat here anymore. And I'm going to prove this to you. Reach down with one arm, one hand. Just reach down Lily and just do a small pinch here.
Now again, a small pinch. You can't grab a big thing there. Can you get a sense? There's like no fat remaining there anymore. Better. Go ahead and turn around. Let's see your flanks. Keep your arms up. Yeah, it's looking better. A little more swollen over here. This all settle down. You look great. So, how was the holding overall? Was it I felt weird. I tell you, I had a weird moment when I looked at it two days later and I was kind of shocked how good it looked in a way. And um I felt almost a feeling of kind of guilt um at my
own vanity that I was kind of taking positive results from something to which I'd really given nothing. You know, I hadn't expended any sweat in exercise. I hadn't worked out. Um it was just like uh I'd paid a bunch of money to look like I'd been working out. Yeah, I can, you know, to some extent understand that. But, you know, if you go back to, you know, in these areas, these are always your stubborn areas, right? You can never really lose these things. You know what? I'm not con I'm not I mean, I know what you said and you've said that before. I think maybe if I had worked out really intensively, which I've almost never done actually in my life. If I spent like an hour or an hour and a half every
day in the gym working on my problem areas or I had a personal trainer or something, I'm pretty confident I could have made a significant improvement, maybe even to the point of getting rid of most of that. But yeah, I'd have to say I disagree with you that yeah, that you would see my whole thing is about proportion and balance. And if I feel somebody can achieve, this is an important point, can the results that I can achieve with diet and exercise, I don't do them. So, I really only do people that are disproportionate like yourself and even though you're a lean guy and you're quite, you know, quite in good shape, those areas were disproportionate in my eyes and to my touch. And I mean, yeah, it's true. In 45
minutes, it's gone. It's it's it's an easy thing. But, uh, you know, my role in this at my role in this was about 75%. You know, your role is the other 25% to stay lean and stay in good shape. I mean, I suppose you work in an industry that is all about appearances. And do you ever worry that what you do kind of promotes vanity a little bit to some extent? Yeah, I would say that I think that people should not pay too much attention to it, that it's it's it's part of uh being human. Um, and sometimes I wonder if I do things that make people think too much about it. And so, you know, I'd have to say yeah, with that, that was a very truthful answer that you gave it.
I mean, was that is that all you have to say about that? Yeah. You know, with all this stuff, I don't think people should pay, you know, too much attention to it. I think that probably we're a little bit too vain these days. We're paying too much attention to it. and uh you know there's a good balance with everything. I agreed with Dr. Amron in helping men and women to look their best. Plastic surgery has also taught us to feel inadequate when we don't measure up creating a world of beautiful halves and less beautiful have nots. As for my own decision, I had mixed feelings.
pleased with the results, but with a nagging fear that I'd caved into convention and lost a little part of me.
