Yes, thank you, Becky. It's a more of a trudge, got to say, for the runners up. Oh, there we are. Searching for the seagull we found. Yeah, must be hot in that mask. But yeah, they can be so proud of their efforts. A memorable run to this stage, beating the record winners Arsenal in the quarterfinals, a comeback victory in the semifinals. Dario Vidic who's had to deal with such emotional turmoil this season after the death of his father, not just a father, but a mentor, a colleague. It has affected the whole club and the beautiful to we saw ahead of kickoff

that was unfilled by the Brighton fans. that said, "Father, head coach." And it also said, "We hope we've done you proud." And I'm certain they have. Brighton have been incredible. The legacy of Vizich certainly they've performed well the last part of the season. They've got to an FA Cup final. I think the recruitment has been brilliant. And certainly the game plan in the opening part of this game was excellent. City just had that little bit of quality to get over that. But these fans, these Brighton fans have enjoyed their day out. And I'm sure there'll be reflections on what might have been. They started so well.

They just couldn't quite beat a really resolute City defense which included a brilliant performance from Ayaka Yamashita in goal. But that's gone now. And they'll also need to remember where they've come from. A first ever appearance at Wembley, a first ever shot at a major trophy. 59 years in their history. They'll have to wait at least another year. But they do have that 10,000 seater stadium on the horizon that's been announced. purpose built for the women's team right next to the AMX. A club that are committed to moving their women's team forward and this will do wonders for that. Still a little bit of a gap to the elite in the WSL for Brighton, but they're determined to bridge that gap, get themselves into the top four, top three.

I think that's the point, isn't it? It's going to be a process that might be a bit slow, might have a few bumps in the road. It doesn't happen overnight. There's not a seagull to be had down on the south coast. And so Manchester City get ready to make their way up the steps to the Royal Box. It's always a great occasion for members of the armed forces here to present The medals for the runners up, the match officials, the winners medals today will be handed out by squadron leader Lisa Cable, who's been with the Royal Air Force since 1999

and the FA Cup, by Staff Sergeant Amber Marsh, who has served in the British Army for almost 17 years as an aircraft technician. Has played football in many overseas tours during her long military career. Kirstston Casparay arm in- arm with Ayaka Yamashita. Casper herself has had an incredible season. Seven WSL assists more than anyone else. She has been let loose down that right hand side. I mean that's credit to Brighton the way that they probably kept her quiet today. Casper has been brilliant from that right back position.

But they've shown that they're winners. Alex Greenwood said it in a couple of weeks since celebrating the WSL. Had to get back into it. Brighton started off very, very well and actually quiet City down in that first half. Yeah, Brighton's walk up for steps was a trudge. This is a skip for most of them. Real spring in the old step despite the minutes. Casp out of breath. Shattered. Can't blame her, you got to say. These goalkeepers don't do much work there. Just walking doing a few stretches, but all smiles as you'd expect. The anticipation building that beautiful piece of silverware will in their arms

in just a few seconds time. And it has been a really impressive season for City. And they will not want to rest on this. They will want to keep going. Andre Jagglers, the head coach, leads his team up the steps towards the Royal Box. Manchester City. Just the second foreign head coach to win the double in his debut season after Sonia Bon Pastor managed it in the last campaign. Debbie Hwitt, chair of the FA, hands over the winners medals. It is Manchester City's 10th major trophy all since they turned professional back in 2014. Bit of a lull in the old trophy department, but they're now back experiencing that winning feeling once again.

No doubt about it. Alex Broom, their captain, is a winner. Club and country and the player of the match today. Leila will have a word for her final. match in a Manchester City shirt. She's out of contract. She'll be leaving. And Laura Kums, we should also really big her up. What a career. Yeah, I mean she visibly looked quite emotional. Liam was talking to her last game going out on a high certainly but her contribution to the women's game how it's changed since she when she first started to when she leaves it. Rabbi been a consistent performer 100 appearances for City four times an FA Cup winner. Laura Kum she signs off with KJ Shaw. We've got the opener today. Of course she did. And so Alex Green with the captain gets

ready. Well, it's going to take a few more years to match Chelsea's consistent success domestically. But are we witnessing the start of an era of dominance in English football? A season to remember for Manchester City. Two weeks after lifting the WSL trophy 25 miles away in Dagenham, they get to do it all again here at Wembley. A 10-year wait between WSL titles. Now the six-year wait for an FA Cup has been brought to an end. For the fourth time, it's Manchester City winners of the FA Cup. Just a massive congratulations to Manchester City lifting the NBA cap once again. They last won it in 2020. Has been, I'm sure, what feels a long sixyear wait for that Manchester City

side to have scenes like this once again. Ellen, incredible for the club and the players and it was great to see Laura Coons there lifting it as well. But yeah, it's been a long way and it was amazing to hear Robin saying that was their 10th trophy. They went professional in 2014 and that's a mean feat for that football club. So they need to keep evolving, keep progressing and that consistency. But yeah, credit to the players and obviously the manager for this season. Girls, is there a better feeling than being up there right now on that balcony with the trophy looking down all the fans? Andre Yanklet's there lofting that trophy high in his first season at City. But is there a better feeling, Paz?

I don't think I mean apart from lifting the Euros with which Elean was able to do. I don't think so. Domestically, I think when you win the league, you obviously do it on your own ground and you don't have the steps to walk. But I think as you say, this is the home of football. We're at Wembley. You get to walk the steps and as you lift that trophy and look over and you see all your fans out there, I don't think there's a better picture when you're lifting that trophy. Yeah, the Manchester City fans, they've been here a fair bit this season, the Wembley following City, but the flags are out. They're all still here. They look like they've just had a brilliant afternoon.

Yeah, I mean, just going off of what Bar just said there, it's every boy and little girl's dream to be at Wembley and to have these moments and you have to pinch yourself when you're up there and you have to really embrace it because you don't know how often it comes. You know, you mentioned there it's been what the last time they won it at Manchester 2020. So for that statue of the club, you know, you have to remember, you have to enjoy it and this team absolutely. It's been a phenomenal season for them and credit to the group and the manager has done unbelievable. Look at Vivid there coming down the stairs. She has had such an emotionally very difficult time and it was fabulous that she got on at the end

there and got a goal again. Yeah, it was really great to see her on the pitch um smiling, happy and her scoring a goal as well and some of the passes, her touches. She just looked like Viv Medar just enjoying herself on the pitch and she's been a great addition to this squad the last couple of seasons and that connection she's built with Bunny Shaw as well. Yeah, I'm sure she's over the moon to be here and even to make the bench. I just heard her speaking a few days ago. She was back in training but wasn't sure whether she'd make the bench. the fact she got on the pitch and actually she started her goal. She started it. She played it out wide and followed her run into the box and a fantastic header. But

she did she looked back to her normal self, happy self. She's gone through, you know, a lot in the past few weeks as it's well been documented. But yeah, it's good to see her back on the pitch. Obviously scoring hopefully that's for her mom and I'm sure she would have had that in her celebrations and yeah, fantastic for her. And to previous managers at Manchester City, it was maybe I don't know, maybe the narrative was they're a little one-dimensional, but that seems to have completely changed. Yeah, look, they've obviously been unbelievable at possession based football. They used to pass teams off the park, but 10 passes have all of a sudden it doesn't make a goal. This

manager's come in, he's made them more direct. And what I mean by that is pick teams right through the middle, take them right at the jugular, and they do that. They run more, they press more, and at times when they've been up against it, they just wait. And that's when that ruthless edge comes in and that mentality. I think she's right there. I think Kazzy's right there in terms of that. They're so used to dominating the ball. You think about their goal. It was 60% to Quiet in that period that they got their two goals. So they only had 40% possession and they was able to score. So it's very rare that you see a

Manchester City team in years that have passed that they don't have possession of the ball. And now we're starting to see a team that don't need to always be with the ball but actually have found a way to win games. Jo's really nice. The trophy has now gone to a lot of the back room staff. the guys that don't actually get to go up there because this is such a team effort is far more than just the 11 players that are out on the pitch. Absolutely. It's a culture that you feel um they do so much work that's unseen for the staff. They work hours and hours entire pilots if I can get the words out for this group and everyone's part of that team. You know, there's 25 30

members of staff behind there and they're all part of winning that trophy for these players to perform and the manager to perform as well. So, it's really lovely to see them all celebrating together and also the whole squad as well, not just the players that obviously were in the squad and a lot of emotions as well there. First trophies maybe as well. So, that's so beautiful to see collectively the group coming together and that's what you've seen this season that togetherness from this Man City. There's so many tears out there from the Manchester City staff. They are all so happy out there. It is thoroughly welldeserved.
