I'm getting really nervous now. Now it's almost approaching the raw kidney time. Karia is going to take us in and show us the whole process. Oh, and here we are. Yeah. This your land here, Karia? Yeah. This is home. Here we are. Here we are in the Masai. Yeah. Awesome. Welcome. Thanks so much for having us. Gary welcome. This your camp here? This our home. Say hi to my brothers. A walking stick, too. Really? Control the flock. Okay. Wow. Here we are. This is amazing, guys. We're going into the Masai village. Yeah. So, this is home. This is where we live. This is our home state. This is a mass cultural village. In this village, we have a number of 120 people. 120 people including children. Okay. And we have been here for 10 good years. As you know, Mai people, we were nomadic

people. Oh, nomadic. We keep cows, goats and sheep and we depend on them. Our main source of food it come from the animals. As you can see the village it is full of cowards. During night time all cows come and grace here. Okay. Daytime they again look for pasture grass and water. Then in the evening they come back. We only have three meals. Meat, milk and blood from the cow. Oh blood. Blood from the cow. Why would you drink the blood? Is it a delicacy or is it uh we believe that it is good for the stomach diseases. Okay. And also it is good for the young children and build the muscles. Good protein. Yeah. Good protein. I love these clothes. Why do you guys is the red like special color?

People we dress the red color with the oras of tires and beads. Here we are very close to the game res. We are very close to the Masara National Park. So most of the time wild animals used to cross around and you know also we are used to look after the cows and we believe that wild animals fear the red color. Oh they're afraid of the red. Yeah. So from here we can proceed to see one of the hat. Let's go. Before we go and start to slaughter the goat. Slaughter the goat. Yeah. I'm a bit nervous for that. So this is one of our houses. They made of cow ducks and wood. And this is the work of ladies to make the house. And when we were outside, it seemed to look quite small, but inside

I've divided a lot. I have many patterns. So, let's have a look. Let's take a look. Welcome. Amazing. Yeah. Very nice. The first room here for the firewoods. For the firewood. You can see the firewoods. Oh, yeah. And then we proceed ahead. The second room here, the kitchen area. Oh, the kitchen. This is the kitchen. You can see the small windows there. Oh, yeah. And then two rooms here again for parents and children. And it's cooling in here. Cool. From the cow down. Keeps it cool. Yeah. And then we have the guest room. So this is your room, my friend. Next time. Oh, good. Have a seat. Oh, it's nice. Yeah. Spacious.

Spacious. Yeah. So, you can see the color there for milk and blood. Yeah. This from the milk. Oh, fresh milk. Can I take a sip? Sure. Yeah. Sounds good. Oh, wow. Oh, it's sweet. It's delicious. Healthy. So this is how we Amazing. Yeah. Cool. Welcome. Thank you, Kia. That's delicious. Sweet. This is so cool to see. So there's lots of wildlife out here. Yeah. And you can witness the fresh elephant poop there. Elephant. No, they have just passed here yesterday. Really? It's a giant poo. So we just want to show you how we make fire. This is the two special woods we

used to light fire. The hard one and the soft one. Here we have dry grass back of the tree or sometime elephant poop. They're very easy to burn. Traditional way to make fire. Yeah. The ancient method. Very quick. Really? Less than 3 minutes. Wow. Already smoking. We are ready for the dance. Yes. That sounds great. And then I'll explain to you about the dance. Okay. Yeah. Wow. Should I dance? Should I do it? There we go. Wow. Amazing. Wow, that's amazing. Cool. There we go. Amazing. Yeah. Wow. Thank you guys. Stay tuned. Shortly we have the next jumping contest. Dumping hotel. It will come shortly after this one. Wow, that was

amazing. So stay tuned. That was amazing. Beautiful. When do you guys do that dance? During occasion ceremonies like wedding during mostly circumcision, marriage or moranism, we do this occasion ceremonies. Marriage. Yeah. Marriage, handing of a lion. You know M people, we used to hand lion long time ago. But nowadays we are stopped because of tourist and education. Yeah. But we do celebrate with that. You hear sound, they roam like lions. Yeah. Oh yeah. Sound like a lion. Yeah. So, let's do the jumping. Okay. Wow. Super high jumps. There's OE. Come on in. Oed. Come on in.

Oed. Yeah. Come on in. That's so cool. Yeah. So, why do you guys do the jumping? What's the meaning behind it? We compete to jump. Compete. This is a competition. And they say the higher you jump, more girlfriend you win. More girlfriend. Yeah. This valley, it's where we had the very first humankind ancestor. Oh, really? is from this valley as I say stretching from here to Ethiopia. The cradle of humanity. Their culture is untangible heritage for humanity. Ah cultural heritage.

Exactly. Wow. Yes. So they're going to show us how they make. Let's do it. Let's go. This is the moment guys. We're going to have the most traditional meal of the Masai Mara. Intangible cultural heritage like Oed was saying. So you can see the small one. We don't eat with the har. Oh, wow. So what's this? This is to drink the blood. Yeah. Oh, there's the Oh, yeah. It goes right into the milk. Yeah. This is a delicacy. Yeah. This is it. Wow. It's good. Healthy. Yeah. Very healthy. Good protein. Yeah. Wow. So you just Wow.

There it goes. Oh, raw blood. Oh my goodness. No problem. Right. You drink. I drink first. You take first. You take fast. You drink every day. Yes. Oh, just finished. Okay. I taste. M. Oh, it's nice. Very sweet. It's sweet. Yeah. A little irony. Yeah. The milk. Yeah. It's good. It's like a sweet. Now we go to the bush. Irony milk. Yeah. Irony milk. Now we go to the bush. Okay. Yeah. And we are just going outside of the village now away from the families, right? You do it in a secluded area. In the secluded area. In the bush. Yeah. Just come. Okay.

You see how we prepared? Yeah. Okay. Why are you collecting the blood? We use it. Oh, drinking. Yeah. Straight drinking. Is it good? Yeah. This is straight from the your hand to the blood. Oh, it's still warm. Really? Okay. I taste. M. It's warm. Oh. Taste. Irony. Wow. You saw before on the cow there is what we call blood letting. So whenever they see they want it, they will just shoot the cow like shoot with a spear and the cow would just give some of the blood not die necessary. Poke the vein.

It's like on a tapping on a cow. Yeah. So then they get what they need and the cow can continue. And sometimes the cows are very healthy. They have like obesity of the cows because they have a lot of grasses. So to reduce the blood or to put the cow the shape reduce a little bit of the blood and drink it. Ah yes. Oh here's the this is the blood. You and Jacine want to try? You were saying we're all going to try together, right? Yes. But sorry it's not my tradition. What about Jacine? Where's Jacqueline? Jacqueline, you going to try? Really? I'm going to try it. Really? Yeah. You going to try?

Are you sure? But like really small. Oh, how is it? Oh my god. It's not as bad. It's not too bad, right? Not too bad. It's warm, right? It looks gross, but it's not as bad. Think you going to try? Try it. Just go for it. Don't think about it. Oh my god. How is it? Think it's just warm. Not bad, actually. Yeah, not as bad. Yeah, it's good, right? Yeah, it's good. Yeah. The next one, guys, is even more extreme. It's getting intense. We just had the blood milkshake and the next one is apparently the gem. Oh, here we go.

This is the best part you have been waiting for. Really? That's the delicacy there. Oh, is it good? Yeah. Okay. It's your turn. Okay. This is what you have been waiting for. This is the best part. Yeah. The best part. Oh, it's jiggly. Take it. The whole thing. Yeah. Eat the whole thing. Oh my goodness. Eat. Okay. M. Yeah. Good. Oh, it's warm.

I don't know if I like that. It's a warm kidney. Yeah. It's just all in the mind. It doesn't taste gross. It's just like a warm organ. It's not bad, but Not good either. Oh, take the kidney. How is it? How's the kidney? Very nice. Oh, there's the liver. Yeah, there's the liver. Fresh. You want to test? Okay, why not? We did the blood. We did the kidney. What? What more is it? We need our hands to be blood. There's the blade. Just cut a piece. Oh, there's the liver.

Just take it down. Okay, I take Oh. Oh, it's sweet. Yeah. Oh, and bitter. Sweet and bitter. Oh, what's this? Is that the stomach? What's this here? More than five plants of tree. Traditional medicine. Yeah, this is water. They have boiled the roots, backs of the trees until they turn the color. See how the water kind of local spices. Oh, local spices. Okay, we're going to go take a look. I think there's some uh barbecue meat coming up here. Oh, look at this. Let's come. That's what I'm talking about. Barbecue goat legs. Yeah. Oh, between chama and boiled. The goat legs barbecue and the ribs. The

ribs. Yeah. And part of the goat and the boys. That's the good stuff. How many goats do you raise on your on the village? We have like 80 goats and sheep. 80 goats. We have like 300 goats. Wow. Look at this. So, we've got the lamb legs. We got the liver over here. Look at this. That's going to be barbecue liver over the campfire. And then a nice boiled tripe and boiled ribs. You've uh taken the life, right? So you have blood. Do you normally have to wash thoroughly before going back home to the village? But mostly what we use, you have the leaves. Oh yeah. Clean with the leaves. Yeah. Can Oh yeah. Is this mint? Yeah. What is that? It smells good. Yeah. So the meat almost ready now. Almost ready.

Almost ready now. Looks juicy. So we got the legs, we got the ribs, we have the liver. We have the ribs boiling here. Oh, and some part of the stomach. Stomach as well. The tripe. Come. The liver is ready. Oh, the liver is ready. The liver is ready. Some bite. Okay. The liver right there. Ready to go. Oh, wash hands. Wash hand. Okay. Thank you so much. Oh, thank you so much. Yeah. It's been split over it. Oh, really? So, it's a bit bitter. Oh, it's a bit bitter. You split the bladder over top of this bladder and remove this. Oh, these are your So, these are for hunting. Yes. And for hunting. And slicing meat. Sometimes used to cut the branches to go and fab the village. To cut the branches. Yes. Wow. Can I hold? Yes.

It's okay. Oh, yeah. There's a giraffe on there. A giraffe. And we have a bou and a buffalo. You use this for cutting the all types of meat, right? All types of meat. Yeah. They're very sharp. Oh, and the goat legs almost ready now. Look at that. Wow. I love your hat. What is this? It's a Columbus monkey. Columbus. Monkey. Oh, look at that meat. Super hot. Oh. Oh, there it is. Wow. Perfect leg piece right off the bat. Super hot. Oh, hot. Oh, yeah. No salt. Pure flavor. Oh, cut and then put onto the leaves.

Yes. This one is like a table. Yeah, like a table. Oh, yeah. You Oh, the meat's just put on. It'll cool down nicely. Why do you use these leaves as a table? Just because it's the ground. Better than the ground. And there it is. All the meat laid out. We got two or three eating stations here, right? They're eating over there too, right? Oh, this is another this another eating station here. Oh, this is the boil station. Oh, the stomach. Fresh boiled stomach. Fresh. Yeah. Look at the stomach. Okay, let's try it out. Oh. Oh, chewy.
