Let's go back to Arun Dantta. Arun, Prime Minister also underlined that diplomatic ties helped during the West Asia crisis and it helped to took to take important and crucial decision during the West Asia crisis. Take us to the details what transpired at that time. You will see everybody knows that how difficult that phase was for India. Not only in fact for India, but globally because we understand that war of course impacted uh Strait of Hormuz and due to which of course every country was somehow facing trouble. So that's why it was very important to have that balancing act which India of course showed. We have of course spoken to Iran. Also we were in touch with Israel and United States. And in fact the testimony of India's balancing act was Donald Trump's
statement. If you remember, he said that India did a fantastic job during this West Asia crisis. Especially Prime Minister Modi. He named Prime Minister Modi. And in fact he praised the way he maneuvered around these crises. So that's why you see that in every area was a challenge at that point in time for Modi government at the diplomatic front and also of course to manage the criticism of the opposition parties here in the country and also to ensure that the people of the country do not face the impact of the brunt of that West Asia crisis. So at different channels of course different strategy was deployed by Modi government and due to which of course we saw that we could successfully emerge out of that
situation. We already discussed about the prices of petrol and diesel you know was skyrocketed in other countries, but here in the country we saw of course there was initial burden which was born by the central government. We saw Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister speaking about it that how on daily basis government of India was facing huge losses because they have to pay that money to the OMC's. Later on of course we saw there was a first spike which came in the prices of petrol and diesel. Then there was another spike I think three or four times we saw those spike but it wasn't that big and therefore Prime Minister Modi highlighting rightly there that many were expecting that we you know would have prices of petrol of diesel going
beyond the limit and also of course the prices of gas cylinders but they've managed to really keep it in check and that's why of course we haven't seen the problem of West Asia crisis felt that much by people of this country. So we've been speaking about this that at different platforms you know government has to really play a huge role. They'll have to really channelize their energies not only at the diplomatic front but also as the nationwide what people have been saying what opposition parties have been saying. So we can say that this was of course a multi-fold strategy which has been deployed by the Modi government here due to which we are seeing that the country hasn't really witnessed that much impact
and we've seen that how opposition was going hammer and tongs against the Modi government. Even that point in time we saw that the data was also coming out from the BJP side talking about look at the conditions of the other global countries how they are under tremendous pressure of the prices what is happening in West Asia due to that but here in the country we are still you know managing those prices and therefore you saw Prime Minister Modi speaking on that in that rally in Rajasthan. Yes. Aman coming to you now how will the newly launched petrochemical facility in Rajasthan will help the country to secure the energy future because Prime Minister Modi just now said that energy will be the top most priority for Bharat.
This is a big factory. It's worth really rupees 70,000 crores. It's one of the biggest petrochemical units being set up in the country and this has been a project which has spanned many years. And so the Prime Minister there saying that his government laid the foundation stone of this project and also is inaugurating the project now after fast tracking it after the UPA government did not act in the way it should have with the same alacrity as it should have to bring up this project. But I think uh my the bigger headlines which are coming from the Prime Minister's address and I jotted them down just now. Uh the big headlines which are coming is if I say the five big headlines the Prime
Minister saying the LPG could have hit rupees 2,000 per cylinder given the situation and state of war moves, but his government kept it at rupees 950 to ensure that the Indian consumer does not suffer. The Prime Minister also saying that India beat 21st century's biggest energy crisis. A big statement by the Prime Minister. Mr. Modi is also saying that government uh absorbed a rupees 75,000 crore fuel shock. That is the amount of money which the oil marketing companies lost between April and June. But Mr. Modi is saying it's the government treasury which absorbed the loss. We did not pass on this whole loss to the Indian consumer. He's also attacking the opposition saying that the rumor mongers failed. India stood
united. There were a lot of skepticism, a lot of negativity spread by the opposition that everything is going to collapse including the likes of Rahul Gandhi, but the Prime Minister is saying that the rumor mongers failed. India stood united and the Prime Minister is giving the credit to India's diplomacy, India's policy, and the people's power. He's saying that the diplomacy, policy of his government, and people's power is what saved India from this big crisis.
