-Welcome back to the show. -Thank you. -I always love having you on. Congratulations on the album. The last time you came on, it just came out. And let me read you some stats right here. And you can plug your ears if it makes you embarrassed. You became the first artist to simultaneously have a number-one debut on five different album charts. -[Cheers and applause] -Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover, and World Albums. Wow. The album received eight Latin Grammy nominations this year. Eight. Massive. And you were named Billboard Latin Women and Music's Woman of the Year.

-Congratulations! -[Cheers and applause] That is how you do it! Come on! -Oh, I'm so happy for you. -Thank you. -When you hear those things, those stats, what goes through your mind? -Oh, my God. A lot of appreciation, gratefulness. -Gratitude. -Yes, gratitude. -A lot of gratitude. -Yeah. -And I still haven't even been able -to completely understand it. -No. Completely, like, you know, like to understand the situation. -Yeah. -Because I've been touring, touring, touring. And I haven't even stopped at home.

-And see what you've done. -For this year, during the whole year. -You're so, so good, and everyone loves you. -And this album is spectacular. -Thank you. -One of your biggest fans is U2, the band U2. They just revealed that they have a song on their upcoming album that is about you. -Bono. -.called "The Mirror Maker" "Rosalía" is the name of the song. -And Bono, yeah. -Bono. -Bono. -Yeah. -Yeah. -That's crazy.

-Now, do you know Bono? -Oh, I don't know Bono. -"I don't know Bono." -I don't know Bono, -but he texted me. -Wow! -And he told me that he had this project, new project, this new song, "The Mirror Maker," I think it's called. And then he was asking me if it made sense, certain words. He wanted to use one word, actually. It's coming to my mind. There was this word. -Marmolay. -Marmalade? -No. I think -- As far as I can remember, okay, I think it was marmolay. And I don't know. I was like, "I never heard this word.

I don't know what that means." And I searched it. I did some research, and didn't exist in Spanish, -standard Spanish. -No. -So I just told him, "You know, I don't know, but feel free to invent your own language." -Yeah, yeah. So he invented a word for you. -And I don't know. -He can do that, though. He's Bono. -He's a legend. -Yes. -He's allowed to do that. -He's a legend. -But isn't that cool? That's amazing.

-It's insane. It's mind-blowing. -Yeah. -Because when I was a kid, I used to hear his songs. -Yes. -♪ With or without you ♪ -Oh, my God. Yes. Of course. Everything. -It's amazing. -While you're here, you're doing "Saturday Night Live" this Saturday. -Congratulations on that. -Thank you. -What have you been doing in your free time? Now that you're in the city, you have free time. What are you doing? What does Rosalía do?

-Well. -You're not on tour. -I'm so happy because I finally get to do things I usually can't when I'm on tour. And, actually, this Sunday, I woke up and I decided I was going to church. -Wow. That's it. -Yeah. -You wanted to go to church. -Yeah, I was going to church, you know? And there's this church that I've heard about. It's called the Abyssinian Baptist Church. -It's a church in Harlem. -Mm-hmm. -And I heard they do this amazing Sunday service. So I was really excited. I'm like, "You know what?" On Sunday, I woke up and I'm like -- I got ready.

And when I got ready, I got rea-dy. -Wow! -Okay? -Really? -Yes. I showered. Yes. I did my makeup. I did my hair. I put on perfume, oils, all kinds of moisturizers. -Guapa para dios. -Yes. -"Hot for God." [Speaks Spanish] And I make this look. I put this -- I put on my church heel. Pequeno. My capri pants, my cardigan. A little modest one. And I'm giving, like, "I'm here to hear the word of the Lord." -Wow! -Like, I'm taking it seriously, you know?

-Good for you. -Yes. And then I go there. I get there early. And it's freezing outside. And I see this huge line, but I'm like, "I'm gonna do it. Yes. Of course." And then, at some point, I'm waiting, waiting, waiting. But, finally, the line starts moving, and I get all the way to the door. And then there's this tall, beautiful man right there. And I look at him, and he looks at me. And then he -- But he kind of gives me this look. He says -- He goes, "Ma'am, I'm sorry, but you cannot enter today." And I'm like, "Why?" You know? I'm wondering.

I ask him why, and he is giving me the energy of "You're not on the list." -Oh, yeah. -Kind of energy. And then he just says, "The church is full." -What?! -And so I couldn't get in. So, yeah, I got rejected by the church. -So you were -- -I didn't even know that's possible. -Wow! I never heard of this. So, you couldn't get in. -What did you end up doing? -What did I end. Um.I went and I bought some new shoes.

-That's what the Lord would have wanted. -[Cheers and applause] -I confess. I confess I did. -Isn't that unbelievable? You got all ready to go, and it was packed? -God said, "No," but my outfit said, "Yes." -That's right. You get credit. You showed up. -I showed up. -You showed up. -I tried. -You got ready. Yes. -But shout-out to Abyssinian Baptist Church, huh? One day, I really hope I can enter and get into. -Yes. I will go with you. I would love it.

-Let's go. -Yes. Yeah, we'll get tickets. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll go. Not only was the "Lux" album huge, I got to say congrats on the "Lux Tour". Sold-out arena around the world. -Thank you. -[Cheers and applause] -Thank you so much. -Sold-out arena. Rosalía, I can't even tell you. Again, here's some reviews. "Rosalía's Lux Tour is a spectacle only she could pull off," says "Rolling Stone". "Rosalía has the best live show of the summer." GQ.

-Ooh! -"Rosalía's astonishing 'Lux Tour' has something that AI will never be able to replicate." "The Independent". -Wow! -[Cheers and applause] -Thank you. -But it's a world tour all over. It's got to be exhausting, and what you put into that. -It was. Yes. -You put so much work. When you performed here last time, so much work went into that one performance. And I got to say, the clips I saw online were unbelievable. But there was a funny part that I laughed at. I think it was right before you did "La Perla." -Yes. -You did a confession.

-El Confesionario. -Yes. And people confess. And it's funny, but you have different celebrities came out and surprised you. -Chappell Roan. -Yeah. -I saw -- -Karol G. -Marcello Hernán-- -Yeah, Marcello. -Yes. -They come and do a confession. -Yes. -And then you start the song. -Yes. -How did you get everyone to do all these confessions, all these celebrities? -I mean, it seemed like everybody had something to confess.

-Yes, that's true. Yeah. They do. -But I was so excited, you know, to bring some friends, bring, you know, some fans even -- Like, so many people came throughout the whole tour, and it was really amazing to hear them. I just love listening to people's stories. And it seemed like people were excited to share their stories, you know? -It was great, but it was also, it was funny, as well. -Yes. -It was very, very good. -I thought it was important, you know, on the show to have different moments and balance the solemnidad, how solemn some songs felt on the album and balance it on the show with some lighter, more funny moments.

-Did you get any chance to confess anything that you wanted to confess? Because you have the platform here, if you'd like to. -[Laughs] -Yeah. -You want me to do a confession? -Yeah. I'd love to. -Do you have anything? -Oh, my goodness. -What would you confess? -Um.well. -Rosalía, what have you done wrong? -[Laughs] -I know something. -Ay! -Can I give you a hint? -Yes. -Your security team told us something.

-I mean. [Laughs] I mean, when you are on tour -- Just to give context, okay? -When you're on tour -- -You're blushing, by the way. -It's the blush from the makeup. -Yeah, right. Sure. -No. -I mean, basically, when you're on tour, you kind of, like, need to make it fun, you know, because, otherwise, it could be poco rutinario. You know, you're always with the same people and you're always, every night, doing the same show. The only thing that changes is the country -maybe that you are in. -Yeah.

-So, basically, I have a bodyguard, Victor. -Yeah. Shout-out to Victor. -Shout-out to Victor. -Victor is very nice. I've talked to -- -He's the best. -I've talked to Victor, yeah. -Oh, my God. Sometimes, I hide from Victor. -You can't do that. You can't. You pay him to protect you. You can't hide from Victor. That's very bad. That's the opposite of what he's supposed to do. I feel bad for Victor. It drives him nuts. -You can't hide anymore. -No. Pero es la chispa de la vida. You know? It's a little bit of that.

We need sometimes that, you know? Sometimes, you know, here and there, I will hide a little bit or I will go a little bit faster, and then he has to catch me, you know? -"Hide a little bit." Oh, my gosh, you're so funny. Well, we talked to Victor. That is exactly what I thought you were going to confess. -Oh, my gosh! -And he actually sent a video of this happening. You dashing off when you were at the airport. -Wait. What? -They gave it to us.

By the way, what is that thing? -I want that. -Okay. Okay, I'll get you one. -I'll get you one. -Next time? -Yes, next time, I'll bring you one, okay? -Yeah. Next time you're on the show, we'll have a race. -Yes. Okay. -We'll have a race around. -Yes, we'll race. My sister got it for me for Christmas. -Oh, my gosh. -And I really love it. -You're the best. We love you. Rosalía, everyone. Her album, "Lux," is out now. -We're about to play Charades, but first we're gonna need some players.

Congratulations! That was my fault. My thanks to Rosalía, Linda Cardellini, Tate McRae!
