isn't it such a coincidence that just when we get close to new iPhones or inboxes either flooding with pixel 9 things to consider or the rumors get hyped up about the next Galaxy phones listen we're still working on getting more information on that possible Galaxy fold slim before we make a video about it but what's not been shy of leaks is the Galaxy s25 series we're really not expecting this phone to be ready until early next year but regardless of the timing let's get to another Deep dive I'm he r with pocket now and let's talk about the Galaxy s25 series from
Samsung yes today was the day for Apple's glow time invites and we know what we're getting here so before that happens let's look into the most direct competitor and what that might look like if we're honest Samsung has only brought minor design changes to its Galaxy S Series over the past few Generations but there is a new sheriff in town with Huey Lee and we hear it's time to see things take a step further finally or at least we're hoping now one of the key updates with the Galaxy s24 Ultra was the introduction of titanium a premium material that added a touch of luxury to the device specifically the Galaxy s24 Ultra used grade 2 titanium which is pure titanium and known for being softer
more affordable and easier to work with compared to higher grades there's speculation that Samsung will continue using the material with the Galaxy s25 Ultra but it's unclear if we're still getting grade 2 or the upgrade to a stronger material like grade five which is what Apple uses on the iPhone 15 Pro Series grade 5 titanium is an alloy that includes aluminum and vadium making it tougher and more durable rumors have also surfaced about Samsung testing for different design prototypes of the Galaxy s25 Ultra while specific details are scarce these prototypes reportedly explore different approaches to the phone's frame and bezels some potential changes include thinner bezels a flatter
or more rounded frame a possibly thicker top and bottom edge with thinner sides I know that sounds weird but bear with me now despite these tweaks the overall front design of the Galaxy s25 Ultra is expected to remain similar to what we currently have at this point I'm just hoping the phone is not that sharp on the corners as the current Ultra just yells for a case notably well-known leaker ice Universe has suggested that the s25 ultra might adopt a more rounded design similar to the Galaxy Note 7 rip this would Mark a shift from a boxier design that we currently have according to the leaks the new design might feature a frame that's more rounded on the back while remaining straight on the display side this could
uh result in a thinner frame and reduce bezels on the sides giving the phone a sleeker look ice Universe also mentioned the Galaxy s25 Ultra could be 8.4 mm making it thinner than any of the previous Ultra models and which I'm not going to complain about another aspect of the design changes could be an increase in screen size rubbert suggested the Galaxy s25 Ultra panel could grow to around 6.9 in diagonal up from 6.8 on the display of the s24 ultra I think the last one we had with that size was the s20 ultra this change could make the device slightly larger but it could also mean that the screen has smaller bezels resulting in a different aspect ratio without significantly
increasing the old overall footprint of the phone additionally it is rumored that the base model of the Galaxy s25 could also see a screen size increase a potential growth by uh 0.16 in to 6.36 in if true this would uh be the second time in three generations the Samsung has increased the screen size of the base model but it's really just been less bezels and when it comes to the panel being used Samsung is reportedly working on Next Generation Ola displays that would allow for fingerprint scanning anywhere on the screen and the ability to scan multiple fingerprints simultaneously we've heard this rumor for years this technology might be ready in time for the Galaxy s25 series overall the Galaxy s25 series is shaping
up to be a significant update in terms of design with potential changes in material shape and size I'm seriously hoping that Lee brings some new approach to how phones are designed overall not sure if you remember the times of the Galaxy Nexus or the Nexus 2 well that was Nexus S where the phone was rounded off at the bottom for improved ergonomics anything to make the experience of using a phone more delightful would be welcomed at a time when phones are getting larger sharper and heavier making them seriously harder to use but yeah let's talk cameras as obviously this is a major selling point for any Galaxy one of the earliest leaks about the Galaxy s25 series focused on these camera improvements in particular
initially they was a lot of speculation and conflicting information with some rumors suggesting major changes such as a simple triple lens setup and a significant upgrade to the primary 200 megapixel lens however as more information became available throughout the year many of these uh early rumors were debunked or hey maybe there were just less prototypes to work with as testing continued it now appears that while the Galaxy s25 Ultra will see some camera improvements and won't undergo a complete overhaul on May 27th ice Universe shared detailed camera specifications for the Galaxy s25 Ultron webo according to him the s25 ultra will retain the 200 megapixel main camera and the 50 megapix 5x periscopic telephoto
zoom lens however there will be a change on the other lenses a new 50 megapixel 3x telephoto camera and the 50 megapixel ultrawide which represent the significant upgrade when compared to the 10 megapixel 3x lens that we have since the Galaxy S S21 Ultra I believe now as far as the base models of the s25 and s25 plus in June things started to flow in that direction Samsung announced several new sensors and the iso cell g&j stood out yes a letter instead of a number at the end this sensor is a comparable to the main camera sensor found on the s24 and s24 plus with a size of 1 over 1.57 in which is really not that much different than the current 1 over 1.57 6in sensor of the s24 series
what we do here is that the microns will be larger probably up to 1 Micron similar to what we see on the iPhone so we wonder if it'll retain the same 50 megapixel count if we're getting larger pixels on a similar footprint only one way to find out now as for the rest of the specs one of the most significant rumors surrounding the s25 series involves the processors after switching to an all Snapdragon lineup in 2023 Samsung brought back its practice of offering different processors based on market with the Galaxy s24 series as of now the strongest rumor suggest that all Galaxy s25 models might be powered by the Snapdragon H Gen4 chipset or at least we think that's what it's going to
be called this decision would likely stem from issues with the xn0 2500 chipsets in their manufacturing if Samsung does opt for an all Snapdragon lineup it could mean a significant speed boost on the s25 series regardless of the model with reports indicating that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 would reach a speed of 4 GHz a notable increase to 3.3 GHz on the current hn3 now regarding Battery Technology there's speculation that the company might use stack technology for these this Tech commonly used in electric vehicles would allow for higher energy capacity and smaller volume potentially leading to a 10% Improvement in energy density however a report from Galaxy Club suggests that
the standard Galaxy s25 might retain the 4,000 Mah power pack that we currently have at least in capacity this could mean that it's a Slimmer battery allowing for Slimmer chassis we don't know the s25 ultra on the other hand is rumored to retain the same 5,000 milliamp power battery with 45 wat fast charging according to digital chat station so yeah it could mean Slimmer devices same capacity more efficiencies from the chip now in terms of memory a bogus rumor mentions that the Bas Galaxy s25 will continue to offer 8 gigs of RAM and listen I seriously doubt it every phone is jumping to more RAM to take better ad advantage of generative AI capabilities the problem is that well the bogus leaker is ice universe so I
don't yeah fine it could not be bogus let's just see if it's that he's finally wrong for the first time or it could also be that the Snapdragon AG Gen4 could do better AI tasks with less Ram we'll see about that when it comes to the pricing of the s25 series Samsung has maintained relatively stable numbers over the past few years up until now that the foldables got more expensive and yes the same happened with the s24 ultra for the last 3 years the base models remain at $799 and the Plus at 9.99 as of now there's no concrete information indicating that the company will raise prices for its s25 series however there's also no guarantee that the prices will remain the same hard to
tell as the economy continues to fluctuate everywhere to conclude what can I say this might just be the year of new designs for the Galaxy S series with Slimmer batteries which uh could mean lighter Slimmer phones it could mean better cameras a crazy 4 GHz on those chips and probably better materials this whole idea of a rounder Ultra is definitely exciting me but uh I am hoping that the combination of everything gives us a more mature Flagship Samsung lineup this lineup has been in need of a breath of fresh updates for a bit so I'm all game for change but we'll see what we probably get around I know January 2025 let me know what you think in the comments down below about these possible changes and
