WUSA9 weather forecast supported by Morgan&Morgan. Hello, this is meteorologist Grace Thornton from WUSA9. Another cool morning awaits us on Tuesday. Although not as cold as Monday. The temperature will rise slightly when you leave the house on Tuesday. Washington is expected to be around 49 degrees. In Northern Virginia, the readings will be in the 40s and something degrees. And in some places on the map there are even 30 with something for Front Royal, Harrisonburg and all the way to Martinsburg. You're seeing 41, but it's possible that Tuesday morning temperatures will drop to 30 with something in the higher Shenandoah and Appalachian areas. So if you're closer to
Washington, be sure to dress warmly when you head out to the bus stop on Tuesday morning. The morning will be cool, but there will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day, which will help us warm up during the day. It will be windy at times on Tuesday, but you might not even notice it because the rest of the weather will be just great. North winds are expected at 10 to 20 mph. We'll look at wind speed throughout the day in a moment. High temperatures will reach at least 70 degrees, and possibly higher for much of the Washington area. So, Tuesday morning wind gusts will reach nearly 30 mph in areas like Gaithersburg, Manassas and La Plata to 29. So Tuesday morning could
be quite windy in places. This also applies to the entire Delmarva Peninsula. From Cambridge to Easton and all the way to Ocean City-it's going to be a pretty windy day for you on Tuesday. Let's look at the situation at 12:30, that is, around noon on Tuesday. We will still have windy conditions, but in the east, on the easternmost coast, the gusts will definitely continue. This will last until approximately 5-6 p.m. We are still seeing gusts up to 30, possibly 35 mph in Ocean City and Salisbury. So be sure to bring a windbreaker if you 're going to drive across the Bay Bridge tomorrow. So, the maximum temperatures for Tuesday. Very pleasant weather conditions. 71 degrees in Washington, maybe even 73, or even 74 or 75 in central Virginia. So
we're sticking to seasonal indicators all week. We're expecting wonderful weather on Tuesday, and the rest of the week will be autumnally warm during the day, if I may say so. You know, temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit-that's very pleasant for mid- to-late October. So you'll need a jacket in the morning as the mornings will be cool, and sunglasses will be needed during the day. Temperatures will remain quite comfortable through Thursday, but we'll be seeing colder temperatures again by the end of the week. It won't be too drastic, but you'll feel it through Saturday, especially Saturday morning when the low temperature will drop to the 40s. However, by the end of the work week, temperatures in the
Washington area will mostly range from 40 to 49 degrees. This applies to the suburbs, and we love cold nights because they accelerate the onset of peak autumn leaf color. You know, when it gets steadily colder at night, the leaves start to light up with those same bright orange and red colors. So we could see rich colors in the northern and western suburbs in the next few days, perhaps even earlier than expected. Well, the 7-day forecast looks pretty good for us. Again, the next 3 days, including Thursday, will be lovely in the afternoon and a bit brisk in the morning, with a cooling off from Friday into Saturday. Some of these cool mornings will continue into Sunday, with
temperatures rising back into the 70s as early as Monday of next week.
