Hey, so what's going on? I can tell something's bothering you. Isn't Sheila, is it? She didn't resurface. No, it's, um, it's about my dad. [gentle music] He asked me to step down as co-CEO. I'm sorry you're going through all this, babe. I can't believe stepping down was even a discussion. Couldn't have been easy for Ridge asking you to step away. No, but Brooke gave him all the talking points. Huh. I told him how I felt.
I didn't hold back. Good. Did you get through to him? We'll see. But I have to say it, Finn, this does feel like a real loss knowing that my father would even suggest having Brooke as his co-CEO. [gentle music] Now, that's a welcome home. I aim to please. The, uh, kids are at a sleepover, Grandma Lee's. -We have the night to ourselves. -Mm-hmm. And wine. Your favorite. -[glasses clink] -I could probably use something a little stronger after the day I had with Hope. Hope is still freaking out about her line being put on the back burner?
She thinks it's personal. There's nothing I can say to convince her otherwise. Maybe talk to Ridge. Let him try. Maybe he can explain. -He has. -Well then? Hope thinks this father-daughter co-CEO ganging up on her. It's ridiculous. I don't know. Sometimes I just. What? Well, there are days like today when I wonder if Hope and her line are even worth -the trouble. [gentle music] -You must have a million questions running -through that head of yours. -Do I ever.
I don't even know where to start. Well, number one, is Taylor in danger? Deacon did sound relieved. You know, whatever Sheila said to him, I, he believes their marriage is over. But do you think Sheila's really over it, or do you think she's plotting some kind of awful revenge? Yeah. -There's definitely some key questions. -Yeah. But then there's the one, uh, are Taylor and Deacon -going to pursue a real relationship? -I don't know. -[laughs] -I don't know, but I want my mom to be happy. I want my mom to be free of all the drama in the past, all the stuff with Dad. I want it to be over, and I want Mom to find someone, someone she truly deserves. But should it be with Deacon, really?
Look, I know my dad was put in a terrible position, having to choose between his wife and his daughter, but Brooke, she doesn't obviously see it that way. It's what she's always done, come between my dad and my family. You really think that's what's motivating Brooke? Uh, I'm sure it's that and a dose of Hope complaining. Hmm. -I mean, hasn't she won enough, really? -Yeah, I know. -Come on. -I'm sorry, babe. I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you. You know what? At the end of the day, however this shakes out, I get to come home to you and our family. [gentle music] That's what matters.
I really appreciate you being here for me, and it makes me feel like I'm the -luckiest woman alive. You do feel that? -Yeah. Of course, honey. - Thank you. -[laughs] I make kiss that good, huh? Well, that too, but arranging the sleepovers, it's nice having a night like this, night to ourselves. Yeah. Well, as much as I know you love the bedtime chaos around here, I just thought after, you know, the day that you had with the Logan fashion show.
Yeah, I just needed a night to decompress. Yeah. [gentle music] Something you can't even do when you're not on mom duty because you're worried about Sheila. Yeah, I, I admit the whole thing freaks me out, Finn. Knowing that Sheila was in our home, my mom could have been killed. God, I, I just don't. I don't wanna do that. I, I don't wanna think about Sheila right now. I wanna push her so far out of my mind, and I just wanna focus on you, okay?
I know. But look, honey, it's difficult. I get it. -You got a lot going on. -Yeah. Yeah, so much. Ah, the whole Katie and Bill thing with my grandfather and Logan, it's terrible. I wish I had confidence in Hope, -but some of the things she said earlier. -Like what? Well, she condones what Bill and Katie did. She told me that my grandfather signed a contract, and those designs were Bill and -Katie's. - Look, I, I don't really care about the legal technicalities, okay? It's about doing the right thing, doing the right and honorable thing for my granddad. But I guess that just doesn't -come naturally to a Logan. -[laughs] Well, I, look, honey, I get why
you're frustrated. I definitely see your perspective here. Though, when things are often tense between you and Hope, maybe that influences how you react -to her. -Mm-hmm. It's a little more than tense. -She's pretty upset with me right now. -Why? I had to do something for Forrester. It's a business decision, and I'm doing what's best for Forrester Creations, so. It's about Hope's line. I need to put Hope for the Future on hold a little bit longer so we can place all of our energy and resources into couture and into my grandfather's return.
I mean, I was born into this company. Legend has it I took my first steps -downstairs- -[laughs]. in the lobby. I know. It's, it's, it's part of you, honey. Yeah. Yeah, it really is my identity. I really don't know who I would be with- without this place. Well, and it's meaningful to you to be carrying the torch for your family and, and for our kids, and I mean, everyone's future. And I'm really grateful to have this place. Hmm. To be working with my father all of these years. Now that my grandfather's back and Thomas is working remotely, Electra's here, Zende's here, it feels like really wonderful, happy times at Forrester Creations.
[gentle music] Yeah. As much as I tried to get through to my mom, none of that would've mattered if Sheila snapped. Well, she, she couldn't hide her feelings, even in that kind of danger. That tells you something. It's who my mom is. She's honest. She was even honest with Sheila. She really is a remarkable woman. She's lucky to have such a caring daughter.
I hope she knows that. I really do. Like, everything I've done, all these ultimatums, these warnings, they -were just coming from a place of love. -Hmm. I'm not trying to stand in the way of her joy. I want her to be happy, but I want her to be safe, and I would love for her to be with someone that's not -complicated. -Hmm. I mean, she's had a really complicated life, and she gives so much. She gives to me and our family and her work, and she gets nothing in return.
Well, she has three amazing grandkids, and children who care about her, right? And the respect of colleagues around the -world. -I know. -Yeah. -No, and you're, and you're right. [gentle music] It's just everything that she's been through with my father and him leaving her for, for Brooke. Like, I just don't wanna. I don't want her to deal with that anymore, and she deserves someone to treat her like a queen. Do you think Deacon will be able to do that for her?
When I'm in your arms, I just feel so much peace. -I really do. -I know. -Mm-hmm. -You're a good fit 'cause I feel peace when I hold you, too. I love you. I love this. I, I love our life. I know how special this is. [gentle music]
