Two L's for Lane. And no one's crying about it. That's outside of Baton Rouge. No, nobody. It's wild to see that like that in real time. I feel like, and I maybe I'm totally wrong, and I'm sure our college football friends will tell me if I am, but I always thought LSU was kind of a program that people because Bama and Sabin were riding on such a high that people kind of pulled for them, right? Cuz you had coaches that were just nuts, whether it was Miles or Coach O. And that 19 team was such a wrecking ball. The people were like, "Hell yeah, those folks seem like a ton of fun." They are. But now with this and Lane and the whole bit, it's like you are on your own.

Mhm. And watching Will Stein and those big brave bulls go for two and get it, buddy. That game was nuts. And honestly, I thought Kentucky felt like better team. It would have felt really, really gross for them to lose because they missed a couple of field goals that were going to tie it. They were down there close with a lead in the second half and they decided to be aggressive and go for it. And you've heard me say it a time or two, Steve, everyone loves when you go for it, when you get it. But when they went for it on fourth and maybe three or four and I thought, let me make sure I have my notes right.

I thought Mitchie was going to run it when they had that short fourth and it was like four, maybe it was two, whatever it was, but he threw a pass, got deflected. Anyway, it's the kind of thing I make a note and I'm like, I don't love that. That's going to haunt you. And LSU has answers and they answered. Um, but Kentucky having the Stones to go for two and what they were doing with the tight end out there. I'm like, and I thought there was a false start before a timeout, but they got the timeout. LSU fans aren't thrilled with that. I don't blame you. I don't know when the timeout came. But regardless, I'm sitting there by myself and I'm like, quarterback draw is nude and he went right up the middle and it's like,

holy LSU's lost two games. I've tried that in a video game. It looks just like that and I never score on it. You don't if you don't go if you go shotgun quarterback blast, I think it's called, it's free every time. Yeah, but this was draw. No, don't go don't do draw. Do blast. Okay. I'm just giving you Get everybody wide. Fan protection. Get We win titles. You know what I did? I did the portal for my son. He's got a Kansas State rivalry. I did the portal. I got him like a top 20 class. He thinks I'm a magician. He's like, "Dad, how did you get me these players?" I'm like, "I got you." My other son's got an&m portal going, "Dad, can you do the portal?" I'm like, "I got you.

This I might not be good for much, but I can cook on the sticks in the portal." Yeah. Anyway. Anyway, this the real life Kentucky team today, man. They got some dubs now. I know. I don't know how what that&m win on the road's going to be worth, but beating LSU's counts for something significant. What are they What were they ranked going into this game? What were they? Uh 10. Kentucky wasn't anymore. No. Oh, they Oh, Kentucky was I thought they were I don't know what they were ranked, but they're five and one now. They got a better record in the SEC than LSU does. Um, I

thought the biggest play of the game was after the first missed field goal. LSU gets the ball and Levit just tries making a play in the middle of guys rushing them. Loses the ball and that's when Kentucky misses the chippy. Right. I was going to say, but it didn't cost them. I thought Kentucky was going to take the lead there and they didn't even tie it. But right there you All right. Hey, let's be smart with the football. We just got a break. We got a chance to end this. Let's get a couple first downs. You don't even get one. You ran one play. I think that was second down when he fumbles.

You're right. But then they had a fourth and one and you got a quarterback that can put his head down and get one and they get tricky and they try to run the deal where oh, it looks like it's going to be a direct snap and we maybe they'll jump and when then we call timeout. And again, I get it. Everyone loves when the coach goes for it when they get it. But you got one play to get a yard. you spent however many billion dollars on your O line, run a play and get a first down and it's it's lights out. They didn't. They punt it and ultimately you end up paying a price, man. Yeah, big one. A big one. Um I've said try and avoid getting that second loss as late as possible. Obviously, you don't want to lose.

It's October early, man. It's October. Look at that schedule. Believe me, they're not done losing games. I don't think I mean they got to get healthy too because it ain't healthy and it showed today because it's a four quarter game man you need coach we talked about at the beginning of the year how about everybody just wants more depth and you saw that I mean certain people don't have you know a salary cap of any kind but depth is a big issue I think I was blown away Steve Ryan Day was on with us this week I tried to convince him not to throw it to four. I threw it to four. Play the fight song first two times.

He's pretty good. But he said just sort of in passing, we have 51 new guys on our program. at Ohio State. I'd say that's like the norm. I get it. But any program that has any kind of institutional continuity feels like you'd be a miles ahead. But who has it? I don't know. When he said that, I couldn't I just it I didn't follow on it, but I just it was the kind of thing I was like, "Wow, that's a lot of new folks." because I asked him about culture and the idea of what do because he says and I'm off topic here but it's sort of it's all part of the same conversation isn't it when he said you can't lose

games at Ohio State and I said well like you got all these new people do they understand that and that's when he's like yeah I mean we got 51 new people you're like God bless man and obviously LSU's got you know a zillion new people so does Kentucky got a new coach too but Willstein for president man I and down in uh down in Lexington, they're looking forward to hoop season and that hasn't changed because that's always going to be king in that part of the world. But they got a ball coach and they got a team, a team that has an identity, man. Fun to watch. And now LSU, there's some woofing. There's some woofing before that two-point play, too.

Uh between Lane and Stein. And I thought what Stein was trying to do is what Golding did. try and get a false start. Get that ball a yard and a half closer. Right. That's why everybody's like, "Why is a tight end in the game?" Because they're trying to fool him, right? They have a timeout. They're gonna burn it. False start, man. He's just making sure. He's a wing back. He can move. Huh? I mean, he's a 60 whatever number, but he could I don't think the guy that moved was allowed to move the way he moved, but it's just cuz you haven't seen it.

Whatever. Right. I had Kentucky on the card. No big deal, Steve. I had two. I told you last night. You told me I'd have 11 on the card, and I did. And then I dropped Oklahoma and Syracuse off the card, which made them guaranteed locks. I said it on when I gave the picks on winners. I said, "Guaranteed locks. Oklahoma and Syracuse. Win-win." You know what? In my brain, I get credit. I'll do what Boomer used to do. I'll just be like, I SAID IT AND then I didn't, but I did. We'll be right back. Uh anyway, shout out to
