Steven's been leveling up. They've trained all the facets of his game. He's said it, I've said it, we've talked about it on the podcast. He's very well-rounded now. He proved it this weekend. He's proved it over the last 2 years at some of these shows. He's top five GOST. He won the Arnold this year. He topped six or seven this show last year and he improved on that. He just got podium at this show today. I'm a staff sergeant Steven Bradley. I'm a hotel. My position is I do remedial PT for my battalion slash brigade. I got started in strongman in 2017. Did my first competition, thought it was really cool, went out there, never trained for
it, took third place, and then fast forward a few years. 2022 I won my first nationals. 2024 I stood on the podium for World's Strongest Man in the 105 weight class. And then earlier this year I won the Arnold Middleweight World Championship. Strongman combines all sorts of different elements of strength facets. There's overhead pressing, deadlifts, there's squats, there's grip, loading and carrying. So many different modalities. And not only is it very heavy, which is why it's called strongman, there's also different ways to test this, like we saw here today with 10 events. Usually that's only 10 single implements that you're lifting like a log or a deadlift. But what PSL does is very unique. They have 17
implements today across 10 events. So you're testing multiple disciplines to find the most well-rounded athlete, not just the strongest athlete. The biggest thing that keeps me motivated to keep going is my son. He's 8 years old and I want to be able to keep up with him as he gets older. My girlfriend, Erin Murray, she's also here. Biggest inspiration in my life. She's just so amazing. Mentally and physically it takes a it takes more out of you to compete at this level than you can realize. Getting up and going to work, getting off at 1700, and then still having to train, it takes a lot of
discipline in order to be able to do those late night sessions to come out and try to be the best in the world. What this journey has taught me is that I can do more than I realized and I can push further than I ever thought possible. Getting started, if you're trying to do something cool like this, being able to push your boundaries and see how far you can go. As most military people, that's all we want to do.
