More than 800 unreported deaths occurred in this building. Two serial killers lived there. Two serial killers in one building within 10 years. Sometimes I literally throw my Bible out the window if there are any spirits in there and it shatters into pieces He was a war hero who died at sea. He just wanted his story to be told so he could move on. She didn't know she was staying at the Cecil Hotel. She thought she had booked a room on StayOnMain, but it was actually the Cecil. The basement is one of the most mystical places. Many say it's like a whirlwind or a portal to hell.
I know that many people have disappeared in the basement, and this is the Black Dahlia. You know, there was a bar there. And I actually have a video of these guys in hazmat suits going down into the basement. I'm just wondering what's going on there and if anyone knows anything that I don't. I need to go back. I need to go down to this basement. It seems to me that now something will start to rage again. It's like they need to tear this place down. I have a bad feeling about this, man. Just run quickly through the chamber. Fine. You know the right way. You turn on the cameras. Fine. And then there's the " bad feeling" button.
Oh no, that can't be. Works? Try. So funny. You said that spirits can interfere with the operation of technology, right? Sometimes. Yes. If I notice activity, sometimes the cameras show 0% or something like that It's horrible. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this? We don't want to awaken spirits, for example. And even if that happens, everything can still be fine, you know. In most cases.
Fine. I'm just genuinely curious because you've obviously read a lot about it, but talking to someone who's never heard of it is incredible. So, the Cecil Hotel was built in 1924, and this building is notorious for being, frankly, a terrible place. It was originally intended for travelers who would come here and do stock trading in Los Angeles and business meetings and all that stuff because it was right in the center of town, so it was perfect. But once the Great Depression hit, everything changed, and the hotel became a very scary place. I have a bad feeling about him, man. The first real case that happened was " Black Dahlia", and it was more of a rumor. She was found in a ditch far from the hotel, but she had been in the basement bar of the
Cecil earlier that week. That was the first moment when people noticed that there was something wrong with the Cecil in relation to the Great Depression and all that. Since then, over the past 90 years, there have been more than 800 unreported deaths. There are only 18 registered deaths, but more than 800 unreported deaths in this building. And finally, two serial killers, Richard Ramirez and Jack Unterweger, lived there. The fact that they were both there for 10 years is just crazy. Two serial killers in one building within 10 years. And they were big serial killers, and they would come and wash away the blood of their victims in the shower, which, by the way, was communal. This is just crazy. And that's why the situation
with Elisa Lam and the, because it's just as weird. Obviously you were one of the first to explore this, and there was a documentary on Netflix and such a surge of interest. Do you have an opinion on this matter? How do people use this to get attention? Yes, because I even saw comments from people who said that you genuinely cared about it. An original person and curiosity. This is why I don't get along with other paranormal creators. I was crossed out, yes. Is it true? Yeah, it's just that the way a lot of people do it seems disgusting or disrespectful or they don't care about the businesses that are part of it, you know? And
they blow it out of proportion, you know, like Stanley, and then they ruin it for everyone. And then I think: no, I'm not like that. This is not true, you understand? Right. What is your opinion on using the new transition period with the new owners? I don't agree with anything. I think people are actually moving out. It's only 10% occupied and that's supposed to help the poor, you know, the homeless, but it doesn't help and people are safer on the streets and the last time I was there I was held at gunpoint. So, in the middle of the hotel, it's just crazy. I just won't tolerate anything like that, and they haven't even installed more cameras. This is
madness. After the story with Elisa Lam, you would think that they would have, for example, another guard or a couple of cameras, but no. And the story with Eliza Lam, it seems to me, has dragged on. Do you think it's because there were videos inside the hotel ? What do you think of both the I can't believe this. There are hundreds of windows looking straight out there. It was very unusual to see anyone on a fire escape, and she didn't know she was staying at the Cecil Hotel. So, oh my god. I have a bad feeling about this, man. Elisa Lam was a student from Canada who came to Los Angeles either for an internship, a job, or a vacation.
I think it was a vacation and she was only supposed to be here for a couple of weeks, but after a week she disappeared. No, and she didn't know she was staying at the Cecil Hotel because at the time they were trying to rebrand to take attention away from the previous murders at the hotel by changing the name to "Stay on Main." She thought she booked a room through Stay on Main, but it was actually the Cecil. How long did this short period of name change or rebranding last? I know, it's crazy. Now, because the Cecil Hotel is a national landmark, they couldn't change the name and do all that, and they had guests living there because that's how they kept the
building afloat because they couldn't let anyone in. When a new company took over the building and tried to rebrand it, they couldn't change the name because of this. So they found a strange loophole where they could keep the name "Hotel Cecil" but use "Stay on Main " as a more temporary place for guests downtown. They thought it would completely help the rebranding, but it only led to more problems. Elisa Lam's story led to the documentary that probably brought the most attention to Cecil's case a few years ago. I have so many problems with this story and it only started after I moved and started researching it. Now, one of the reasons
why I don't completely believe the whole story is video footage in the elevator is very strange. You know, the timestamps are mixed up, there are edits, and no one can find each other. It's like it's unreal. This can't be true. that the police investigation lasted two weeks, they were trying to find her, and that day the team broke up because they gave up, but two people remained in the team, and that was the day she was found in the water tanks. When there were fewer people around, it felt weird. For example, this heavy lid, and how did she close it? You know, there's so much that's left unexplained, and that's why this story is so popular, because everyone thinks there has to be some kind of resolution. But, in particular, when I
lived across the street, I was very surprised that no one saw her go up the fire escape. Because her scent was allegedly tracked to the fifth floor and she went up there and then headed towards the water tanks. I can't believe it because there were hundreds of windows looking right out onto the street, you know? It's very unusual to see someone on a fire escape. Everyone knows it's a fire escape and if someone was there, it could create a problem. The fact that no one called the hotel, no one called the lobby of the building where I live.
The fact that it was only 10 years ago. The fact that no one caught her on camera from other buildings in downtown Los Angeles is simply incredible. You know, I just think there's more to this story, and the manager even called her mom first before she called the police when she was found when she went missing. Yes, she was featured in the Netflix documentary. So, I do n't know. I don't know. I believe everything, but nothing. Yeah, there was some footage of the shadow that someone edited in when she was running and added the letter A. Oh my god. And the shadow itself, and I saw a bunch of comments like, what do you think about this era of disinformation after the I mean, it's just
hard to know what's disinformation and what's not. I think it's different with Cecil because nothing makes sense there. I always thought it was a portal to hell, so of course there must be some really weird information in there that doesn't make sense. Um, but if there's a visual image of a woman who's, you know, kind of lurking in the shadows in a hallway at the Cecil Hotel, and someone happens to see it, I'm like, "Okay, I don't believe that." That's why I always found it interesting from my perspective, because we see it from the outside, and you can see it as a whole, and then even feel the negative vibrations, you know? So, I mean, I guess that's also a question, like the negative vibrations of all of this, like with Kelsey, when you worked with a medium
before? He's locked in there. I've worked with several mediums, but Kelsey was the first medium to come into the apartment and do a full-fledged awakening. Yes. And it's not even. I have to rephrase it, because it's not even an awakening. She was trying to rather end everything, because she was saying, "You're just letting these spirits go free," you know? Basically, there was an atmosphere of madness that evening, which I could believe because I thought, " I've already had three incidents in my apartment," but I can turn off the lights and access the spirit world most of the time, unless of course I'm But when she came, she said, "No, it's completely active. " Look." In essence, she was calling them now. Everything just kind of went crazy and
she ended up having to bring me dragon's blood sage, she brought me so many different things to cleanse because she was like, "You really need to take this seriously because you don't know how this shows up in you every day." And, you know, on some level I love Kelsey, but on some level I'm like, ' Okay, half of this is just annoying,' and that's why people hate, hate when I do this because it sounds so stupid, you know? But after what I saw, and after what I saw across the street, you know, all these years, I don't think I even know anymore. It's like everything has been turned upside down for me, which is cool, but at the same time I wish I didn't know. Yes.
Close that door because it will be closed. Yes. And what is your relationship with it now? Do you still use anything to cleanse yourself or your space? Well, sort of For example, I pray, and sometimes I literally throw my Bible out the window, thinking, "Are there any spirits here?" and then I slap the Bible on the window, thinking, "This is for good reasons." But that's all. Maybe I smoke sage once a year when I'm just remembering. But I don't know. I think it's all about the heart, not external factors, although I could be wrong. I just don't know. I also don't want to close that door completely because, you know, it helped me
make money. And also, something is always happening. I have always been very interested in paranormal phenomena. And I think I had some strange experiences related to this as a child. So to be able to have something so tangible across the street, which I certainly don't belong to yet, but still belong to, it just created a sense of safety and comfort in this genre. That's why I don't want to say goodbye, but I still want to. You call yourself a ghost hunter. Sounds strange. Um, I would say yes, probably, but I don't know. Because I'm not like other ghostbusters, you know. So, for example, Kelsey might come in and, like, turn on the REM module, and then the K2 meter, and,
like, the " ghost box," and, you know, I only learned what those terms meant a couple of years ago, you know, and here I am trying to tell someone else, "Yeah, turn on the K2." How? Oh, there's a button somewhere. I do n't know how to understand this, you know? But I know I will feel it. I'll know when something is near. So I will have that element, and I think that's what has always interested me. Do you experience physical sensations? I experience physical sensations. Sometimes I get goosebumps on the back of my neck. Sometimes I feel dizzy or out of sorts. Or, for example, a couple of times I almost felt that something was inside me, and I know that sounds very strange.
But I've heard about it too. So I just do n't know, and I think a real ghost hunter would know. Honestly. And since you've been in Halstead, you don't have any other ghost-hunting friends besides Kelsey? Or she's not really a hunter, she's a medium. She is a medium. Yes, she is a good guy. She's, you know, like, she's an ally of the spirits. Yes. And I have a few other people that I do this with, but there are definitely a few. For example, I collaborated with him a lot, his name is FrankoTV. This is his project, and it was he who helped me open up, because he said: "You can make money from this. So why don't you give it a try? And I thought, "Oh, he's right." But there are only a couple of them, and that has always been a problem, in my
opinion, with these YouTube bloggers who deal with paranormal phenomena. They are certainly the worst group of people, but honestly it's so hard to explain because everything in this community is so subtle. Speaking of that season, just curious about the Annabelle doll. Oh, yes. Have you heard about this? Wait, what exactly? Because there are a lot of things connected with it Owner of the Annabelle doll? Yes, he was the owner of the museum and the Annabelle doll. He was giving a tour. Yes. And then at one of the stops on the tour one of the guys died? Yes.
I think I just skimmed through the story and it gave me a Um, yeah, just what is it? What is your point of view on this, because there are a lot of assumptions here. I mean, I have no doubt that there could be something paranormal connected to this. I have interesting stories in my family that I swore never to tell, of people who almost died because they got too carried away with witchcraft. And so, um, I know it can be very serious, but I also know that we are stronger than anything in the world because we are alive. They-no. We are better than them. It's that simple. Don't let them manipulate you, you understand? So, part of me thinks, and again, I'm not a
ghost hunter, I do n't think so, but, you know, I think, maybe he wasn't strong enough, maybe it was a coincidence, maybe it was a combination of all these things, maybe he was, you know, trying to overcome something that he probably shouldn't have been , and that's basically it, you know? Yes. That's all I thought about. I think it might have something to do with that, but I also know a title is a title, so. Certainly. So you're saying that ghosts are gaslighters? Yes, that is true. It's like: go somewhere, don't hang around here unless you're going to do something. And when you were working with Kelsey, was there any response to your calls asking her not to
stay there? Yeah, um, just because she said it could be dangerous, and then you wouldn't know, um.Yeah, you just eat day after day, you might not notice, but there could be changes. You can become more negative. You can, you know, and I've seen this over the years in some people who are very into the paranormal. I mean, this is probably not entirely appropriate, but I have a friend who literally makes porn and I do n't even know how he does it. I don't know who he is. So I think it's like paranormal phenomena, you know, where people get really into it and then if they do it wrong, they lose themselves because of some of the, you know, symptoms.
You need to invite this friend here and talk about succubi. About what? This is fine? Yes. A demonic spirit that has sex with the living. Oh, right. I'm not kidding. Stop it. Wait, this is a really good idea for a video. Must remember. Have you heard of a spirit that. So, during your travels, was there a specific place? My brain just thinks of New Orleans as a place with a strong spiritual atmosphere. Were there any places that stood out to you so much that visiting Cecil became a defining experience in your travels? What did you feel? Is Cecil still the most important place for you given its proximity, or were there other experiences
that you found comparable? What's really interesting is that every experience is different. So I can't even compare. It's like apples and oranges in a sense. Um, I can compare the fear levels, you know, and of course, Cecil is more sinister. He's scary. You just feel it. It's noticeable. Um, but for example, a couple of years ago I was in the Bay Area for this show, and I was literally put on a ship, which was the USS Hornet. Um, I do n't know if you've heard of it, but it's basically an old warship that's been converted into a museum, and it's still in the water, but it's open Monday through Friday, you know, just for families and stuff. They rented a boat for the weekend and I was able to go through all the no-go areas
and I was completely alone on this boat all night. Um, and I almost didn't go because I thought it sounded terrible. Um, on a boat, you know. Um, the reason it was so unusual is because I was thinking about the atmosphere of the Cecil. Um, but I didn't think it was a warship. So if you want to try to find the logic in it, these were war heroes who went out to sea, who had families, who were just trying to protect their country. So it automatically became more positive, and I can't expect to talk to Richard Ramirez, you know, I should expect to talk to a hero who unfortunately died during the war. And this is what happened in the end. And I started noticing strange activity, I forgot in which part of the boat.
I think it was one of the cabins. There were some signs there that said " No Entry" because if guests had climbed those stairs before, they would have felt like they were being strangled. And this kept happening, and then they had to close the place down. So they said: " It's blocked because of this." It was mostly paranormal. And I thought, 'Oh my god, either they're crazy or it's true,' which is very weird. And because people don't talk about it, you know? And because people have bad feelings. So I climbed up that ladder, and you know, I don't trust my feelings in these matters, especially if someone just tells me, " I definitely feel like I'm suffocating." And I think: "Well, no, as he told me. Maybe it's just like that." But what was interesting was that
set up a " ghost box," which is a way of communicating with spirits through radio frequencies. It simply scans the frequencies and then allows the spirits, if they are able, to put it all together and transmit a message, and then people believe that it is a message about something that they are asking for. I put him on this ladder, and as I walked, you know, I did my thing, screamed, walked around the whole room. That was great. And I heard: "Turn left." And so I turn left, and there is the REM capsule. An REM capsule is a small toy that lights up when something is placed right next to it. There are different variations of this. But basically, if it really starts glowing wildly, it means the spirit is strong, or it's right in the
center, or it's in the right place. And if, you know, there are other forms, when you are on the outskirts, you can determine that. So you can interpret it that way. And with the REM capsule, it goes off when it says "turn left." Turn left and it works. And then she says again, " Come here." And I'm like, "This?" Like, " Absolutely not." And I really mean it. I say, "I won't go there. Sorry". And then she says, "I want to tell you something." And I say: "They're not trying to deceive me, you understand." So, I felt like I was having a real conversation. And then I thought, 'Okay, it must just be a coincidence or something.' And I.And so, I started asking him questions.
I say, "Okay, if you want me to come over, why?" And he replied, "I want to tell my story." It started, I mean, I'm getting goosebumps right now. But, thinking back, I really felt like I was having a full conversation. I ended up because by the end of this fake, maybe real conversation, I really felt like this was a war hero who died at sea and just wanted to get back to his wife and two kids. And he just wanted his story to be told so he could move on. And. I get goosebumps again, but it's just incredible because you don't know if it's real or not, but it's so hard to explain a lot of synchronicities and, you know, the feeling that I get when I'm in the presence of something like that. And I think sometimes I have a good ability to discern that,
you know? And it felt like it was really real, but it was the complete opposite of the Cecil Hotel, where I always thought I would die just by looking at it. So yeah, it's so interesting. And then I was physically scratched while I was lying in the morgue. Naturally. And.if there's anyone there, just give me a sign or something, I said something so banal. And then I felt it. And I came to my senses, but it was filmed on camera. So, it was on the internet. I looked up and there were three scratches going into the skin. I don't know how I could just lie in the morgue. As if there was something sharp there. Like it's just something, you know? Um, yeah, it's just different experiences.
It was something incredible. The physical manifestation of this. So, you were with people? Did you So, this was in Kentucky, Waverly Hills. Um, or is this Waverly Place? One is a Disney Channel show, and the other one, I think Waverly Place, is Disney. Okay, so this is Waverly Hills. Crap. And, uh, okay, yeah, it was kind of incredible because it was a mental hospital, and they were transporting bodies in wheelbarrows in a tunnel underneath the whole building because they did n't want the patients to know that so many people were dying of tuberculosis every day. And so I went down this shaft in the basement and walked through this tunnel to the door and, um, it was crazy and we were just locked together the whole time. There were
three of us, because we were all, frankly speaking, very afraid. And so, after a couple of hours, I thought: "Okay, nothing will work. You have to split up because that's basically the rule, depending on where you are." We split up and I said, "I'll take the first floor, you take the second, you take the third." We were minding our own business and that's when it happened. And another moment that I remember most of all is when all the equipment turned off. It was the same place. Is it open to the public?
Yes, but only for excursions, and we rented it for the night because we decided: "No, we need to shoot something real." Wow. Staying overnight? Yes. Wow. I lost the thread of the conversation because I'm panicking. How are you, David? I'm fine. So, put on your skeptic hat because you wanted to. Yes. Fine. I've seen people say, I think in connection with the "ghost box," that there were rumors or speculations going around that, frankly, seemed so far-fetched to me, as if someone or several people were on the radio harassing people. Um, are
you talking about " ghost boxes"? Yeah, I saw someone say, 'Oh, that's not real talk. " It's someone on the radio." This is another conspiracy. I wonder: who dedicated their time to this? Right. I want this job. Yes. Sounds funny. Do people turn to spirits? But I'm just curious, have you seen this happen and have people said it to your face? The only thing I get out of it is either something like: " Okay." Or someone simply asks, "Did you hear that?" You know, people need to stay calm on both sides. Yes.
Fine. Yes, that's fair. Do you need more spray? No, that's enough for me. I'm going to.Oh my god. Let me know if you need a break. Perhaps that's exactly what I'm asking. I have a bad feeling about this, man. Have LAPD or city officials commented on this? They've talked about it, but I think it's just one of those really weird legal things, or they're trying to cover it up because they're so deeply involved in it you know? I think, I mean really think it's so cliché, but I really think there's a
conspiracy here with "Cecil" because it just doesn't add up. I mean, when I see all these firefighters, police officers that come into the Cecil every day, I saw someone jump off the roof a couple of years ago. I saw someone commit suicide. And so, watching these people show up, react, you get the impression that either they don't care, because this is Los Angeles, you know. Or they're just used to it. Or they're just trying to move forward quickly because the news usually doesn't say anything. That's why I always mention the more than 800 victims who were never reported as deaths. So, I don't know.
I just feel like yeah, it's weird and I don't know. Did you have any connection with Kelsey, or with Richard Ramirez's victim, or did you have any connection with anyone connected to Richard Ramirez? Oh, I passed out. I don't remember. I don't really remember that. I remember being like a whirlwind. And of course I realized it when I was editing the video, but yeah, I think I kind of pushed it out of my mind. All I know, all I honestly remember from that video, is that the place is clean, you know? Well yeah, I think there was some guy there or something. I can, I can confuse him with another person who came. Yes, I do n't remember.
You are often approached as an authority, asked what is going on, what is your experience, what is it like to be an authority in this area? It's weird that people search for Hotel Cecil on my site. What's even stranger is that if you go into Google Maps and type in Pete Monzingo, the route goes to the Hotel Cecil. The internet thinks it's me too. That's how hard people are looking for me, you know? I don't know how it is now, but a couple of years ago it was like that, and it was honestly amazing because I felt so strong. I say, "Yes, I am the Cecil Hotel." But it's also, um, weird because they look at me like that even though I'm clearly portraying myself as just the girl next door. But I think that's why I feel so good, because I feel like I'm being really
genuine and authentic, and people notice that, rather than just being like, "Oh my God, you guys will never guess what just happened at the Cecil Hotel." You know, it's like, " Okay, we're tired of this nonsense." Um, we just want to know what's real. So I say, "And I like it. I'm happy to do this, and I feel like I have some kind of purpose in this, you know?" Um, and it also really validates the fact that I still live on Skid Row, you know, given that. I think, "Yeah, I can stay here for a couple more months, you know?"
Um, but it's also frustrating because yeah, there was always resistance from the owner, and we were always hoping for the best, you know? Like, 'Yeah, let's look at the big revival of the Cecil Hotel.' And they even put out a press release in 2021 about it, about how they were going to build a rooftop pool and a bar and cabanas and all that, which thought was a little over the top, especially given the history; but they tried, and everyone was rooting for it. And then I tell everyone the news: "They decided to save money, but they're hiding behind a partnership with Skid Row Housing Trust." Do you know how to explain this to
people? And why do I even care because now it's just annoying and I'm just angry and can I just figure something out? " So I think it's quite complicated here. Certainly. Yes. Have any other residents in your building ever contacted you or the management company? That's for sure. For example: "Don't fly drones out of the window." And I'm in the process: "No problem." And I think, " Here's the next one." "But, um, I mean management, of course, and that's not a lie. Um, a lot. And then I had neighbors who, um, no one ever showed any curiosity. Everyone was just jealous, come to think of it, because some neighbors reported me to management, and after
looking at their profiles, they turned out to be content creators. And then someone else DMed me saying they wanted me to run into the Cecil Hotel. So, basically, that was it. I would have loved to have a community, though. I was hoping it would bring people together to that one of your favorite moments? No, I love that one. Thank you. Lani is my favorite drink, for sure. Especially when you can't sleep the night before. When you look back on that first video, are there any moments that stand out, or how you've made your journey from the moment you first
opened the door to the Cecil Hotel to where you are now? Well, I'll tell you, I've never I thought I was n't going to make it. I'm going to sleep with a nightlight again. And that was the beginning of getting rid of my fears. So even though I haven't watched that video in a while, I'd be curious to watch it and go back to it because I'm sure I feel completely different now. And probably not afraid anymore, you know? I mean, I need to go back and watch it. Would you be interested in watching any of it right now? Oh, my god, of course. That guy. Is that relevant? I thought it meant something. Yeah. I live across the street from one of the most haunted hotels in the world. You know, the COVID mask. When was the last time you watched that? Long time ago. It's been
years since I saw that. You'll understand. And there's a lot of other stuff you can check on Wikipedia and online. Even Ghost Adventures talked about it By the way, the Cecil Hotel proved that I actually saw Ghost Adventures filming there. I really wanted to share some of my stories and things. I 've seen it living across the street. The whole time I've lived here, the hotel has been closed. People say, "It's open." "So what's really interesting is, at first, when I observe it, I get so excited. And now I just think, "Oh, yeah, this is so, you know, more normal." "Then it was more of a new thing, you know? And then I said something.
The street. The whole time I've lived here, it's never been open, and now it's open, and that makes a huge difference because I can't spy like I used to because people live there now, you know, and it's weird. So even if I see something going on, because sometimes I still see things across the street, like I say here, but now I can't just write it off as paranormal because I think it's probably someone who's just, you know, closed. People say, "It's open Book a hotel room "Online." And I say, "Guys, trust me. You can go to these websites and click 'yes, I want to book a room at the Cecil Hotel.' "When you do that, you get an error message or something like, 'I feel like.' Well, that's also the same, because what I'm saying is that you can still book a
room at the Cecil Hotel. They still haven't removed it. This means you can still book a room, but the reservation will simply never go through. And I think: "Oh my God, what a mess!" - because I'm literally here all the time watching. 99% of the time there's no one there except the film crew and that girl who looked like she was about to jump, but it turns out she was just the actress from Ghost Adventures Hey, look at me. Do you need help? She opened the window, but it was still not closed. And people on TikTok were writing, "Take a drone and fly it out the window." And I say, 'Damn right, that's brilliant!'""That's what happened. Every day and every night I look at that drone, it's still
broken into a million pieces on the sign along with a lot of other things hung there. I just look at this every time I'm in this place. Did the drone just stop working? Yes, I figured out the reason why it stopped working and it was because it cost $99. And when you're in a big city where there are a lot of radio frequencies, and especially cement, it blocks them. And so he got close to the building and then he lost control, which seemed kind of paranormal, but looking back I'm like, 'Oh, that's not a ghost.' "But the DJI drones I produced later were top-of-the-line, and I had to replace about six of them because there was no explanation for why they kept having problems.
So, if anything, it was more of an omen, which is strange to think about now. I thought, "Oh, wow, yeah." Here's my $100 looking at me and saying, "[__] you." " Oh my God, not names. I experienced strange phenomena, strange shadows. I still see many of the same phenomena, shadows. For example, I just saw a door closing, and I captured it. Not only do I have hundreds of videos of this on my phone over the years, but it's still happening and there's clearly no one on the other side. So it's still different doors and all that. And again, I can no longer
attribute these ghosts and shadows to anything other than real people. But it's weird looking back because I still feel the same way, I can look at it and understand what I felt and I still feel it, but it's weird that now everything is so clouded by the presence of the residents. To be honest, I'm just sad. Some lights just started turning on. The fan and several lamps turned on, but the next day they turned off. "All this happened." Doors and windows open. The next day they close. The curtains in different rooms change slightly from day to day, and no one enters or leaves the hotel. And that's another weird thing, because I'm talking about how no one was entering or leaving the hotel, and
all this was happening. It's so interesting now to see a lot of the same things, knowing there are people there. It's almost like a spiritual feeling, I guess, for me now, as if the hotel never closed, you know, in a spiritual sense. It's as if it were open now, and as if people lived there before. I don't know if it makes any sense at all, but it's almost eerily symbolic. Is it worth attaching this somewhere? No, no, no, no, I mean, that's good, but we don't need that to stay the same all the time, so back to the focus. Certainly. Yes, yes, yes.
I mean, it hurts because Well, well you feel like your views are being challenged at all? Because I think what I'm interested in is, if I were a skeptic, would you be so honest in saying, "Oh, that drone actually had nothing to do with it. It was a quality issue, not a paranormal issue." But this, let's say, this desire to meet certain standards-to me, as an outside observer, it sounds like, "Yes, you struggle with challenging your own assumptions." Right. I mean, yes. I mean, I'm always going to be a skeptic about everything, you know, and living in L.A. makes you so cynical that you get into that in every area of your life. But I also feel that this is what most people outside the system want
to hear. People who are interested and want to believe, you know, in the style of Mulder from The X-Files. I feel like that applies to most people to some extent, and I feel like I can. You know, do it, and that's how I feel. So, I don't know. I think it's just for real. Just being honest. I don't understand why other people should exaggerate this. Did you feel like that changed over time, or were you a little skeptical about it from the start? From the very beginning, I always wanted to feel like I wasn't a skeptic. But through this Cecil process, I realized I would be a skeptic. I'm a skeptic.
I always try to prove it. And I really should accept that. It's actually better for me and I'm glad I did it. Yes. I have reduced the level of skepticism. Yes. Sometimes I take it and say, "Well, you know, but when I was doing these live streams, I called them our haunted sleepovers every night and I would do live streams. Let me know if you see anything when you're." When I wake up and people say, "I saw the seventh window out of the top three on the left. There was definitely something like that there." And I come back, look and say: "Guys, this is literally a reflection." This way I prove to them that everyone saw everything. Yes. And I always say: "But I can't
tell you how many times it was the other way around. They say, "There was a fire in this window." I say, "There's a fire in the window," but I actually saw it. I was actually there. So I didn't find out about it until later. I actually saw smoke and I couldn't explain it and I called 911. Okay, let's go back because I didn't know if it was real. The hotel has been closed for many years. So if I called the police, they would say, " Nobody lives here. And you're on drugs." And then I came back to this.Nothing had changed. What I'm saying is that I'm not sure what's real and what's not. I did this because I don't know what else to do. Everything is the same. I just have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. If you think I could handle it in my apartment with a
water bottle like that. Oh, that's interesting because I'm talking about my first paranormal experience, which happened in my apartment after I started researching the Cecil Hotel thing. I'm talking about how I had a half- full bottle of water sitting on an old 80s flat-screen TV I had at the time. The windows were closed, the air conditioning was off, and suddenly at 12:30 p.m., in the middle of the day, water shot out from above the TV to the other end of the apartment. And that was the first time I thought, "Wow. I'm in something weird." "And I look at it, and I talk about it, and how scared I look. It's crazy because I'm not that scared right now. Of course, I still don't know how to protect myself, but I try to be strong, understand the
logic of what's happening and realize that I'm stronger than this. And it's just interesting, you know, to see how scared I am. It really makes me feel good to know that I've come a long way to feeling more comfortable in this situation. Okay , and I'll move on to the other part. Oh, here it is. Yes, they won't let me in, but there's a sign there: "Someone is there because they're waiting for a delivery." Another very interesting thing I see. At the end of this video, I walk down the street and ask people different questions about whether they will stay there, what they think about it and try to get more information. And I don't even recognize this
facade. There is no longer any attention paid to this building. This is just crazy. And they only did the most horrible cosmetic surgeries on him, which also scares me. It's like confirmation that we should hate them because there are no cameras, nothing else. But they, for example, removed the Stay on Main sign and painted a new Hotel Cecil sign on the building, but it's white on white. Technically, historical landmarks can't be changed, but they got away with it by putting a white-on- white sign on a far pole to hide it from drivers on those streets. They are deliberately trying to hide all this with their changes, which
I have seen since then. And now it looks even worse. Previously, people would lie unconscious on the street or sidewalk right in front of the building. And now people climb onto the roof of a nearby restaurant and sleep there without shirts. In general, it looks worse now than before. Then it happened, which, in my opinion, is completely ridiculous. I'm just so passionate about it. I'm like, "Come on, guys. What are you doing?" " You know? It kind of pissed me off, but it's just crazy. And the entrance isn't the same anymore. The entrance is the left door now, and they made this weird terrace on the side of one of the closed stores. And you still can't
go in there. It's so confusing. What's interesting about all these new renovations is that not only are they wrong, obviously, from a security standpoint, but they also feel like they're going underground more and more lately. Um, I don't know how to explain these little glass things on the cement floor? You know what I mean? Like cat's eyes. It looks like there's something underneath them, but people walk on them. Pedestrians all the time. What are you talking about? Yeah, they're called cat's eyes. That's it. That's what they're like in the front. From Cecil's. But when I was there, you know, when I was there, I saw them slowly they were pulling it out. And I know that according to legend, I've
never explored the basement, but I know the basement is one of the most A lot of people say that it's some kind of vortex or a portal to hell, you know, I don't know if I believe that; but I know there have been a lot of missing people in the basement , there was a bar and everything. And the fact that they're like dissecting, doing surgery on the front of this under the canopy. Part of my theory is that they moved the door to the very back. Firstly, to hide the entrance, so tourists wouldn't come in and stuff, and secondly, because now I see all these other things that are popping up, and they've been working on this for about two years. And I'm just wondering.
What's going on? Because nothing's happening in these stores yet and there are people working there every day, and I saw some men in hazmat suits. And I don't understand why this is even necessary now, before COVID has even happened, you know? I have video footage of these guys in hazmat suits going down into the basement, and it feels like there's something brewing there that's been dormant since people started living in public spaces. I still see people jumping off buildings, and there are ambulances there every day, and I think something's about to flare up again, and I don't know what it could be. But it scares me, and it makes me afraid for a lot of people, because everything's about to
close down again. It's like the place needs to be torn down. Do you think that's the solution? I think if they tear the place down, all the spirits will leave, and they'll move into my house. I think maybe I should just keep going like this. But I don't know. I feel like it's all part of the legend and the conspiracy theory, which I kind of believe in, like about the police, and L.A. , and the history and why all these terrible things happened, why two serial killers stayed there, and so many all the unexplained stuff, and it's still going on, you know? Um, yeah, sorry, my producer got scared, he just fell over. Are you okay? So yeah, I do
n't know. I think the future of the Cecil, I mean, I think we're about to hit some kind of new ground, and it's weird when you do n't hear anything about the Cecil for a couple of years. I think it just means something's about to happen. Something big is about to happen, you know? How long ago did you first post that video? It was in 2021. Right after the Netflix documentary came out, so I was trying to figure that out and start my YouTube channel. Um But that was right after the hype, just before tourists started coming all the time and exploring the place themselves. So that was the peak of what was going on before, the peak of the paranormal activity that I could see from across the street. And people were talking about the
basement before. Do you have any stories about the basement, about that were talked about? I haven't talked much about the basement, only because I couldn't see it from this building, and because when I explored the place, they wouldn't let me into the basement. I just paid the security guard cash, he didn't care, but he said, "Go anywhere but the basement." "And I think, I had a whole notebook of Cecil Hotel and research, things that I don't think anyone else knew, that only I could piece together, and that I've talked about before. But one of them is the basement, and I've never been able to touch it, and it's something I've always wanted to touch. I tried to get into the basement when they had the when they opened it
to the low-income community, and they kicked me out, bad luck. But I just think there's something there, and a lot of sources say it's the most haunted place in the whole building. And if you know that something so paranormal, it's often centered and rooted in the ground, you know? So it seems logical to me that everything is rooted below. I think we do a lot of mysteries of the upper parts, but no one has been able to get to the … The lower parts, and I think that might be our next step . I need to go back. I need to go down to that basement. I need to, while they're doing construction on the first floor, see if I can get in there.
Kind of close this chapter, you know? Yeah. I wonder if we can get a floor plan or if they need to figure something out? I have all the floor plans. I mean, I have the floor plans. There's no other way to get in except through the main entrance. That has to do with the security measures they've taken. They've locked everything else down. So I'm going to have to figure out a way, using the floor plans, to get into the basement and not get shot this time. Not be at gunpoint this time water tower still there?
Water towers the towers are still there and they actually just. they didn't replace them, but they replaced some of them last year and closed off the whole street, which I just found out about. It took a year to edit this video and post it. It's so fascinating, but it took them four or five hours to get those things up to the roof, and I noticed the guys weren't going up there. There were very few of them, and maybe I don't know anything about the construction world, but I think if I were them , I would have stayed on the ground floor on the street because I wouldn't go up to the roof, you know? It's just interesting to watch because I have binoculars, a telescope, drones, and I like to see people's reactions to certain things, and it helps me
understand what they're looking at when they react, and it kind of confirms what I'm writing in my notebook, you know? I want you to tell me how many deaths you've seen at the Cecil Hotel this year because I can't find any. And that's It's not true. , A) why it's hidden, B) maybe there's a spiritual component to it, the fact that it's still happening so often and it's not being talked about. I just think maybe you can find something that I have n't seen. And the reason I bring this up is because I still see ambulances, fire trucks, paramedics there all the time. Every day, sometimes three times a day. I mean, it's just crazy. And I just do n't see anything there, and I hear things from across the street, screams, and I'm getting private messages from people
who live there now and hear things in the closet and then record the banging. include that in there too. I'm just wondering what's going on there and if anyone knows anything that I don't know, because it's really hard to find. I have a bad feeling about this, man. Well, actually, I can talk to Kelsey about this because She's coming back and she's going to be on this podcast, Bad Vibies. We're going to relax a little bit after our last visit to the Cecil Hotel, talk about it, and see what's changed. Maybe we'll bring her back to that place, we'll see, but it'll be really interesting. I wonder if she'll still think I'm clean?
Everyone has bad energy. So what's wrong with you, man? Man, what's this guy's problem? You act like you don't even know. Just take a picture with your phone. Bye, have a good day.
