Ben Jacobs REVEALS ALL About Tottenham BEATING Man United to Matheus Fernandes signing! | Transcript:

Hello and welcome to the window. Ben Jacobs with you live from San Jose, home of the San Jose earthquakes. And the US men's national team are training behind me. But this is all about transfer news. Loads of breaking news for you. And the most headline worthy is probably Matteas Fernandez to Tottenham for 85 million. Interest revealed on Talk Sport and now it's a done deal between the clubs. It's a bit like buses between Tottenham and West Ham United. rarely doing business together. It was kudos of course last summer and now another bit of business between Tottenham and West Ham United.

Fernandez has picked Spurs. Although one of the frustrations for Manchester United in all of this is the player let the club negotiations play out instead of saying early he only wanted Tottenham or Manchester United. And because he was open to both, it created a verbal bidding war. And in the end, Tottenham meeting the 85 million asking price and Manchester United deciding in the end to walk away. Although they did have verbal conversations and also float some numbers with West Ham United, but not intent to pay the 85 million. So Tottenham have got that deal done. Now more on Manchester United and who they may turn to in just a second, but remember Tottenham also want Sandro Tali. So their intent is to sign two

midfielders rather than only one. And the tenali talks continue with Newcastle United. 180 million pound bid has already been rejected. Manchester City could enter that race as well. A reminder on their front after signing Elliot Anderson for 116 million. They are still interested in another midfielder too along with Tanali. Buaddi of Morocco is a player that they're looking at very closely. Manchester United like him. Chelsea and Arsenal have the player on their radar and Bayern Munich too. And this is a fascinating transfer story because Le are prepared to sell but they heavily favor a deal for 2027 and clubs and Man City have shown they are willing to at least discuss this that put forwards a loan back or a pre-aggreement so the

player can do one more season with Le are going to get a better asking price. It's 80 million at the moment but could come down for those that say to Leo loan back or pre-aggreement. It's a h 100red million for other clubs that want an immediate transfer. So that's going to be one to watch. Now as far as Manchester United are concerned, Alex Scott was always another leading target too. Arsenal are there. Tottenham if they don't get Sandro Tali. Chelsea ones to watch as well. And Alex Scott has just returned from training with England and will now start formal talks with Bournemouth over a potential new deal. At the end of the season, Bournemouth were very optimistic that Scott would

stay. And for their part, that stance hasn't changed. And some of the confidence that Scott might stay is down to the fact that Thiago Pinto is prepared to put at least one release clause into the contract of Alex Scott to keep him for that extra season. And it may be like Antoine Semena with a release clause offered in January and then it depreciates by about 5 million in the summer. And in that scenario, I'm told it would be 75 or so down to 70. But it may be that Bournemouth are more inclined to say to Scott, no mid-season release clause, stay until the end of the summer and then you can leave at market value. As of now, we've heard some suggestions that Bournemouth would sell at 60 million. My understanding is

that the number is 80 million and no decision on a potential sale or engagement will be made before Bournemouth sit down with Alex Scott and this is also why at the moment when Arsenal came calling Bournemouth said wait and that the player is not for sale. Let's move on to Chelsea because they're very active in the market. Pep Shivaria is a player of interest on the leftand side and the logic of Chelsea is Jerel hat is left back and Shvaria would come in if successful as a left wing back and then Valentin Barco who is going to join Chelsea as well and Marco Pstra can both each fulfill that fullback role on the left hand side if necessary even though Pstra is predominantly right sided but he can switch sides just as comfortably. So

that one's developing because Chelsea are now in direct talks with Rio Valicano and there is confidence that this deal can get done and the player has already indicated that he is open to a move. So Chelsea could well be about to add another left wing back still on the center back front. Talks are ongoing for Maxon Laqua and Jacobo Rammon is the other player that Chelsea really like and the commonality there is height and physicality. Chelsea basically want a really tall defender that can offer impact in both boxes rather than only a ball playing center back and they're working to try and facilitate that. And don't be surprised if we get another twist in the granite jaca story. So

let's be clear here, the Sunderland perspective is Jaca isn't for sale. Full stop. And when Chelsea bid 8 million, Sunderland rejected it out of hand. And sources have told me that the offer was viewed as derisory. And you would think therefore when you paint the facts out and we're fair to Sunderland's side that will be that not for sale at according to Sunderland sources any price. But I point you to the fact that when Granite Jacqua was at Leakusen, Leakusen said not for sale at any price. and Jaca really forced his move to Sunderland last summer and what a signing he has been for the Black Cats. So Chelsea will be encouraged that they've got this player buyin and we have to wait and see therefore whether

Sunderland's stance softens but Chelsea's first bid 8 million rejected. They're not going to go as high as 25 million despite reports, but it wouldn't at all surprise me if another Chelsea approach is forthcoming despite Sunderland's perspective. And if it isn't to be Granite Jhaka, Chelsea are still looking at other central midfield options. No formal talks yet between Real Madrid and Chelsea for Enzo Fernandez, but that could change and approach is still expected to sound out how firm Chelsea are on this 120 million pound asking price. but all quiet as it stands anyway on the Enzo Fernandez front. But he is a player that Jose Mourinho would really like. Elsewhere, Tyreek George and Everton is getting

really close at the time of recording. This even could be agreed within the next 24 or 48 hours. Everton had an option to buy when Tyreek George was on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and that was 25 million. Now having decided that they're not going to trigger it. Everton are trying to negotiate a lower fee with Chelsea, they are in advanced talks and the deal is not that far off. Callum Wilson and Brenford might be one to watch. He's available on a free transfer. Brenford are assessing several striker options, but 34year-old Wilson is inclined to stay in England and would welcome an opportunity to also remain in

London. So Brenford are optimistic if they want Wilson. He's prepared to sign as a free agent and talks are ongoing there. And just finally, a boost for Coventry. As we reported a few weeks ago, Frank Lampard has agreed a new three-year contract and that is now official. So that's the latest transfer news. Plenty of movement in the market. I sense that Tanali is going to be the one that develops in the coming days or weeks. A few other players, for example, Yande, who we've mentioned in previous videos, maybe takes a little bit longer because he's currently at the World Cup, although PSG are confident on that deal, even though Leipzig came out only two days ago and said on record that the

player is not going anywhere. But NASA Alh Khalifi has a great relationship with several members of the Leipig hierarchy and he is negotiating that one personally.
