coming up on this episode of road tripping kazakhstan sheep traveler fatigue i don't want to walk to this other thing just it's funny cookies more sheep and cows hey guys is what are their names a thousand shapes we invited to lot to join us for breakfast and with the sun shining the good company and a fresh cup of coffee we were definitely seeing our surrounding landscapes in such a different light than the night before
after a long morning drive down many unmarked roads we finally made it to the cole soy lakes a group of three turquoise lakes found not too far outside of almaty there is no key uh apparently there is nothing no key yeah to open the gate that's what i got so we have to go where are
i'm gonna be really realistic it's 2.5 hours there 2.5 hours back knowing us it's gonna be six hours instead of five by then it's 9 30. okay well let's first enjoy this it's now our time it's 5 3 30. when it's five we'll head back oh my god who just has to think he princess and the is did you walk to the other lake did you walk to the other side yes how long did it take you um two times okay yeah we're at coleslaw lake lakes there are three and uh kos wants to trek to the second we're currently at the first we're gonna camp out here hey class is being very uh oh what's the word princesses no when like you wanna do a lot better
no ambitious the word you were looking for lina was ambitious ah damn oh i don't know the word anyway class wants to check to the second lake it's like two and a half hours all up hill we'll do it in an hour and a half we can do it we're stronger than anybody else come on guys keep up i'm walking so much faster than you oh my gosh oh my god well you're so quick they weren't lying when they said it's all up to you he's not very happy with this he thinks we're lazy all right guys come on we have to make it to the other leg we're coming we're going you want a cookie of course i want a cookie haven't you had enough
cookies i don't want to walk to this other lake just it's funny cookies we can do that we'll just wait until we come back yeah okay we're coming cars give us a second because of this damn chocolate cookies yeah they say they're coming i know they're not coming they're just eating cookies that's all they want to do i love these cookies they're so good just wanna eat cookies and they don't even want to walk anymore like seriously we're taking twice as many much time should we pretend like we're walking well i'll just go there by myself at least oh wait i don't have water all right maybe i'll have a cookie then we've eaten like four bags we've seriously eaten four bags
i don't think there's any more cookies left for you what i walked back to get one cookie i just sat in a camera i don't even have water so i'll i'll just have a cookie in the end oh all right we didn't make it to our destination um yeah we are not going to make it to the lake because by the time we get there come back it'll just be dark on the walk back and we haven't even set up our tent and we have to make dinner and we didn't bring head torches did we no you didn't bring beer we can bring beer that's the most important one but um team at least we tried team failure no this isn't a failure because now we're sat on this rock taking in this
amazing river that feeds into the beautiful lake that we did see once it's no longer there in our sight but it's there we know it's there it's gonna be the second league we're just gonna pretend it's the second but in the end time worked against our favor and we weren't able to make it to the second lake but we wanted to make sure we didn't spend another stressful night trying to find a campsite in the dark so we just made the best of where we were every morning a new animal takes over our front garden
where they come from i want coffee tell americana for what for three over here that would be a princess we're headed back to almaty today civilization road trip's over but first before we head back to almaty we're going to head back to the coast coleslaw right no
it's another lake oh it's it i thought it was the third coastline lake no yeah i thought so too but it's not get your head out of your ass it's the kai inlay yeah and there's trees coming out of it before we head back to almighty we're gonna head for a swim in cain lake yes we are i am i have my swimsuit on yeah we do cass is not going for don't listen to him excuse me please
that's one way to clear a road cars did you do that to the rocks as well they're fighting over what to do because this road is horrible and tess doesn't think we'll make it in time and she also thinks the car is going to die on this road i just think i'm gonna make it are don't be rude to the car don't break like that's true class really loves this car do you want us to see the lady
go over rocks and we've been doing that this entire road mean we're not gonna go we're not gonna get to the lake in time but if we can get there maybe we can see it and once again the roads in kazakhstan proved to be an obstacle so we wanted to have a swimming morning because yesterday we couldn't swim in the lake it was too cold so we're really looking forward to swimming before heading back to almaty but we're calling it quit the road is just not really a road we have to get the car back by six today and we're about four hours from almaty we have to get the car clean before we give it back and then also it's you know we want the deposit back on the car and
um it's just spreads a little much for the car but that's part of the adventure sometimes it just doesn't work out where are you tess wasn't gonna let this ruin our last day on the road or get in the way of our planned morning swim so she took matters into her own hands we've decided we're going swimming right here because we put on our swimsuits and mama didn't raise a quitter so
why aren't you having fun you don't like cold water you guys ready to head back to our that's for the team before finishing the trip and making our way back to almaty to return the car we made one final stop at a roadside restaurant where we devoured some noodles and even managed to connect with some locals through the universal language of football
oh are they for sure do as we made our way into the city we couldn't help but wonder if we were gonna get our deposit back just kidding obviously we all reflected on what a great time we had here's a montage so so next time you meet two strangers who ask you to cross the border with them rent a car and go on a 10-day road trip say yes everything will go wrong you won't make it to half the places you
want to get to but it'll be an adventure you'll make friends for life and it'll be good i promise
