foreign thank you it is day two of Hong Kong and it is the first official day of this Hong Kong tour that I'll be going on kind of woke up in the middle of the night and stayed up for a couple hours that jet lag is still hitting hard but I'm not feeling
too bad so let's get to it all right so I've got to get to the Jordan station to meet with everyone else for the tour running like a couple minutes late but I think I should be fine so I skipped breakfast again and as I'm walking there's all these amazing smells of baked goods and stuff like that I'm gonna be hungry okay I forgot there were multiple station exits so now I'm playing catch up with the group but they're right in front of me and we're walking down Temple Street so I think a lot of the Walk we're doing today is going to be a repeat of some of the stuff we saw yesterday but we're also doing some stuff in the evening which would be cool to see today's a bit hotter because the sun is out there's no Breeze
feels like I'm in a sauna we are back at the temple that we visited yesterday it's kind of nice because the new people who are officially part of the tour can kind of see stuff and we can hang back and take it a little easier but man it is a beautiful building here just in the middle of all this city and apparently yipman would teach classes here occasionally it's really cool to imagine
so that man in the blue shirt is Giuseppe skemery who is a grand master in the European Wing Chun Association I've definitely seen lots of videos with him in it's pretty cool that he's here I'm really lucky that we have a guide for this trip because otherwise we would be stumbling around hoping to fall into something cool but instead we have a guide to show us all the cool stuff oh I'm just continually in awe at how amazing and aesthetic the city looks oh man look at these vents these Alleyways are so cool when I was looking stuff up about Hong Kong I thought a lot of it was just completely modern but I think that's all
on the other side of the harbor yeah this is all kept a lot of that old school character everything is just super cool about Bruce and his brother so this is the location of the primary school that Bruce Lee went to Tak Sun School they've got a mural of him on the wall here and a little plaque about him there it's raining a bit but uh I'm already completely soaked through with sweat so I'm not even gonna bother with my raincoat feels kind of nice anyway all right this is exactly what I need we're going to a food court in a shopping mall and uh unlike American malls the food is actually good
okay change of plan we're going to traditional Hong Kong Cafe outside the mall just across the street I think that is supposed to be much cheaper people are kind of splitting up and doing their own thing though foreign very traditional Hong Kong Cafe I know I've been coming here wait you oh okay yeah you're regular I was like you ordered like 10 seconds ago and this just came out oh I'm amazed how fast the service is here
so we've got some beef tender some beef tripe some Daikon radish looks really good let's see it tastes incredible sometimes foreign I like the moves here it's coordinate days thank you for showing us this place that's cool we are back at the meeting spot in front of the mall we're going to continue the tour for the afternoon and the rain has stopped which is nice man used to work in that YMCA and Bruce would come and watch his brother defense even when he was like a big movie Star Trek who knew Bruce Lee when he was a Wing Chun student back in the 1950s and when Tim Siegel was working there Bruce
Lee walked by and this is when Bruce Lee was very famous and Bruce saw Changi man he was like oh and they remembered each other right and then they started talking they talked for about an hour and he said it was like as if because it had been 12 or 13 years since they had seen each other and uh you know they were really catching up and at some point tensibu said uh Bruce you know they're a very famous guy you must be very busy I'm sure you have somewhere to go and he says yes I'm going to the Peninsula hotel to me Chuck Norris to come up with the choreography for his new movie way of the dragon and then chance Eva said well is Chuck Norris there waiting for you and Bruce said yeah but he can wait it's more important for him to catch up
with his old Wing Chun classmate which I always thought was a very cool story but he used to come here and Bruce used to work at the peninsula writing scripts because this was one of the few places where he could go into private rooms and not be mobbed in Hong Kong foreign this is also the Avenue of the Stars I think it was called basically like the Hollywood Walk of Fame for those who don't know Hong Kong is a Cinema Powerhouse that's where a lot of Chinese movies actually were from it's a Hong
Kong and all on these railings they have handprints of famous stars this is amazing it is one of the best to ever do it yeah this way you stay here long enough you'll inherit the power of Locale so he's the guy in a legend of the Drunken Master 2 right yes master two sir my apologies so we've got director Juan karwai here which the intro of this Vlog was based on and then we've got Michelle yo over here Tony Leung who is a big time Hong Kong actor but many of you may know him from changchi Anita Moy she was a Kanto
singer but was in the movie Drunken Master 2. oh Charlie unfet that's a good one yeah growing up I had an uncle who insisted that he looked like Chao young fat that's the guy who did a choreography for Matrix and Crouching Tiger stuff that's John Wu famous action director the last John Woo movie I watched was hard target with Jean-Claude Van Damme it's phenomenal and of course we got Jackie Chan I grew up watching Jackie Chan movies oh and Samo hung is right over here samahung is awesome do you know who that guy is um he's an actor uh he was in a movie called The Kid never heard of it uh yeah he returned he can't oh so he's he's American oh why is he here what it's weird a couple other
movies later on wasn't even born in Hong Kong and then Raymond Chao was the guy who founded Golden Harvest which did many awesome action movies most of the Jackie Chan movies from Hong Kong were Golden Harvest I believe movie style at the time his masculine approach was groundbreaking and far reaching so he's like the one responsible for all the blood splattering and like the Shaw Brothers films I guess that seems probably about right I'm loving this little walk by the harbor right now it's still hot but it is really beautiful and up ahead is the famous statue of Bruce Lee which is an important pilgrimage for all of us I think oh
we're about to do something we are going to go to Wing on Plaza if you have seen the movie police story with Jackie Chan the final fight scene is in a mall oh wow that is this mall here and you can see where Jackie jumped off the top and went down and go there and look at it yourself it's insane right here to Wing on Plaza yeah that easy feels very good it feels so yeah I cannot imagine jumping from that ledge to a pole sliding all the way down that would take incredible cojones yeah because it wasn't even right by the ledge he jumped onto a pole I think oh yeah wait so it was on this level yeah I
think it was this one that corner yeah Jackie Chan is uh is something else professional stuntman and he had a similar sort of jump where they had like hundreds of boxes and after he jumped the person who took note of continuity for the movie basically said oh wait the main actor had gloves on before he jumped he's like I'm not doing that again you have your hands I had my hands behind my back to pretend like I was anything so we are walking deep into this train station we're headed to a place where Bruce Lee did a fashion shoot in a uh car park
all right now we've entered a mall which is great because I love the air conditioning but we are still making our way over kind of a decent walk oh hey it's beautiful he shot photos walking over here you can take any photos here and have that building in the background and he shot hundreds of photos here on that one day in that suit you guys are now free to go take a break food drink whatever relax go back to your hotel take a third shower of the day whatever you want to do all right guys
all right back at the hotel for a much needed three hour break I'm probably just gonna shower do some editing and drink a lot of water I also need to do some laundry which there is a laundry machine here but I haven't used that much clothes yet so I might just wash it in the shower with me yeah when I travel this is usually how I wash my clothes took these into the shower with me soaked them up and the final drying process is using this towel break flew by we are now hustling to the station we'll probably get there just in the nick of time right I actually made it on time for once so the kfg has a uh meeting that he has to go to so we have a guest host today which is the son of Faye Logan someone who knows everything about Hong Kong
Cinema and has been involved in Hong Kong Cinema for a long time yeah I am your tour guide for it for now all right now we're catching the train going across the bay good news is it feels fairly comfortable tonight still humid but not too hot either that or I'm just used to it I don't know if I explained it earlier but every time you walk by one of these shops with open doors you get to enjoy
this sudden nice cold breeze from the air conditioning inside makes you really want to step inside this is a really cool wall everything you hear us tons of character we're on like a ramp escalator no stairs but it's gradually inclining don't feed feral pigeons excellent even these random walkways have so much character to them I know right escalator yeah it's just and there's a really long one like this is it's long but back home when we have these then normally it
means that I'm going to a supermarket and I'm pretty sure we're not doing that now God everything here is so cool this is like a Disney ride or something that barber shop has free beer what oh I'll find them so I can get that free beer I've never felt more like I am on a Star Wars Planet than when I've been in Hong Kong right now that's a good way of putting that actually that makes perfect sense yeah because it's got such interesting architecture or whatever
like Japan but it's much dirtier Japan is like Star Trek you know what it is it's actually giving me more Blade Runner Vibes oh yeah prison yeah Central Prison this whole thing it's like a museum space foreign yeah in addition to everything looking super cool the atmosphere at night definitely adds to it look at these tree roots just dangling down this wall as we're on the sidewalk there's like no shoulder on the road so all these buses and cars are zipping right by us really cool atmosphere
there's a Temple coming up on our left and ahead of us is a building with a moon gate and it's like the foundation for this building it's kind of cool seeing that blend of traditional and modern this is Bay Logan king of Hong Kong Cinema he says it's self-depth preparing me but he's not really that far off to be honest yeah this man used to train with Donny n back in the day like on a daily and Johnny Yen has killed him in three different movies he's fantastic guys I'm doing all right thank you all so Benny the jet is your godfather uh yes we've never met but yes that is true that's pretty dope
even this little stairway is like built of Old Stone so much character man good all right so we are back at the space and art museum that we were at earlier heading back to the Bay because apparently there is a pretty amazing light show to catch really cool seeing this at night foreign
this part of the trip reminds me a lot of when me and Robbie were leaving fujang and we went up to Shanghai wandering around at night and then we saw the uh city across the river definitely The Vibes that I'm getting it also reminds me of the first time I was in China we went to tianjing there was a big river there and beautiful cityscape at night say hi Andrew hello it's Andrew he's out ready he's very handsome oh look who's talking yeah I'm not bad I was just born this way you know what I mean class is really class right it's a sexy accent yeah
thank you foreign obviously all the lights in the different colors but also up in the hills beyond the skyscrapers you see some lights right on the tops of The Ridges such an incredible spectacle there are all these neon signs lights and lasers they are definitely synced up to the music it's actually a really interesting scene that all these different buildings are coordinated to this music probably people who are on the other side watching this one are also getting this
yeah it is very pretty it's really cool to see it is a bit crowded and a bit touristy here but uh if it weren't I would love to just sit and watch I think when I was in tianjing I took a boat ride in the water getting on one of those ferries would actually be really cool because you'd be away from the crowds and still see the lights but you'd also be able to see both sides of the harbor good night all right now it is time for some late night dim sum with the group it's actually not that late at night but uh dim sum
so we were worried there wouldn't be a place that could accommodate our group we've got eight people it's not too big now but they said give us two minutes and they will come apparently they just moved a group for us yeah amazing yeah you would never see that in the U.S yeah we better be nice we got one with extreme taste gorgeous why do they have your bowl ready have you been here too actually they called ahead so John have you had blood cake before I have not but I'm about to kind of like tofu all right we got some fried fish skin chicken feet some Choice some and when I'm in Hong Kong I am a soy boy oh yeah and some ice lemon tea Chinese soy milk is pretty different from American soy milk because it doesn't try to be
cow milk it's just its own thing it's got this subtle sweetness super good so good after this I'm probably going backwards I don't know if you can hear it but that fish skin is crackling when you put it in the hot soup entertain that was incredibly delicious I usually like to drink my broth but I'm tapping out it is extremely flavorful but a bit spicy right now it's getting to meet everybody man appreciate you yeah can we have a drink no I think you've had enough
that restaurant was great some of the servers spoke Mandarin so that was fun got to a little bit of that and now we're being pulled into having a drink seedy looking hallway though and they probably don't want me to film in here or something it's all soundproof what's going on here some sort of like sweet seaweed snack what is this some sort of sweet other kind of snack these are really good foreign this one's for you George Long Island Iced Tea back into the city hallway
thank you well that was a fun night but we are all exhausted I need to hydrate see you guys next time hey thank you so much for watching this Vlog please be sure to like And subscribe and check out some more Hong Kong Vlogs right here once again thank you so much
