In today's video, we are trying each other's lunchbox. Since we grew up in completely different cultures, our lunch actually look very different. Oh my god, I haven't had this for so long. This is not proper. This is snacking as well. I just put it there. You started judging me already. So, today we are recreating our lunch from kindergarten all the way to high school. From our all-time favorite childhood meals to absolute canteen nightmares. Your lunch is so unhealthy. Oh my god. WHY DO YOU GUYS DRINK SALTY THINGS?

Are we going to like each other's lunch boxs? Let's find out. Hey guys. Welcome back to our channel. This is Nick and this is Carrie. And today's video going to be really, really cute because we're going to be trying each other childhood lunchbox food for the first time. Yay. From all the way from kindergarten to high school. Are you ready to taste my lunch? You're going to love it. Of course, I'm ready. Are you ready to taste my lunch? Of course I am. Starting off with kindergarten. I AM NICK. And nice to meet you, Carrie. Nice to meet you. All right. Are you ready to try my lunch?

Yes, I am ready. Okay. My lunch is not the typical lunch you have ever tried in your life. I can already tell you that my lunch is typical a lot of kindergartens mom will prepare. I'm so nervous to show her my lunch. Ready? 3 2 1 ta. This is my lunch. This is roti. This is sugar. Yeah. This is gulab jamun. Yes. You eat this for kid again. So, I was a genie eater. I was a sugar eater when I was a kid. Like, I will legit wake up my grandma at 4:00 a.m. to make me a halva. And then every time my mom would pack something savory, I would tell her, "No,

I want roti and sugar." Because I used to eat so much sugar. This blow my mind. Mine is like sushi and like this koala biscuits. You know what this looks like? What we eat in our house. Now, you still eat this. I have stopped eating this. I don't eat this anymore. So, first thing first, my lunch. I'm going to exchange to Carrie. Exchanged. Yay. I'm so hungry. Oh my god, I want to eat them. Can I make a bite for you? I make a bite for you. So, what you do is you just open this roti and then you take this, right? And then you basically take the sugar like this. And then you just

You know what this tastes like? What tastes like? It tastes like a sweet bun. So, this is chicken. Chicken and cucumber. Ka. Yeah. I don't like this. Why? I don't want to eat cucumba. That's why I used to take that to the lunch. It's like they're so good. By the way, do you know the first time I tried sushi was in 2017. I never had sushi in my life. What? I never had sushi in my life. One of my friends took me to a sushi place and made me try sushi because I was a vegetarian. So, I used to stay away from all the places which sell meat and stuff.

This is such a nostalgia. Oh my god. I haven't had this for so long. We should stop back, isn't it? All right, let me try this. Try this. See it? You do learning as well. See this? It has like words and stuff. Bang. Bangs. K. Kerry. It's so good, isn't it? Okay. This is This reminds me of the biscuits we used to have it as well as a kids. This is a biscuit. Inside is chocolate filling. So, you're telling me that this is your dessert and this is your main food?

Yeah. Kindergarten. How much do you eat? So, for us, this is my main food. This is my desert. You bring gul jam to school. So, how do you eat kids? Do they eat with hands or something? Yeah, you just go like this and then you my egg are touching me. That's why I'm touching for you. And then what you used to do dip more and finger licking. Good. It's so sweet. This whole thing after you eat the kid would just run around. This is what we used to do. Look. Yes. How much would you rate my first lunch?

I will give this eight out of 10. This 10 out of 10, isn't it? 10 out of 10. Carrie, come on. 10. 10 out of 10. Yes. Next food is Wow, you got pasta. What is it? Sandwich. This is paneer sandwich. Oh, it smells so good. This was my favorite lunch item when I was Hindi. This is probably one of my favorite lunch items. So, I eat this in the morning. I still eat this. One thing is crazy, guys. Carrie still eat the same things what she used to eat. I eat what she used to eat when she was a kid. I have given up what I used to eat.

Well, start cooking. Otherwise, I don't know how to make your food. Then now you eat become half an Asian. It's not my fault. I cannot. You're still kind. Okay. Hey, just now I try yours first. Now you try mine first. This is how it looks. I only had like cheese macaroni. Soup macaroni is bit like macaroni and sabji. You know how we have like aluki sabji and stuff like that in patla soup basically but it's so smooth when we were a kid we were told that we should have healthy meals so that you grow up with a muscle we got told as well but we never listen oh this is good I think this meal is better than the last meal is

very plain I don't like that chicken sushi and the which kid doesn't like sushi which kid doesn't like chik okay let's try mine has cheese it has the paneer filling Wow, it's still hot. See? M. Oh my god, this is so good. I mean, like, it's so flavored. So much flavor. The only thing is if I'm like 5 years old and I'm eating this, this will go all over my uniform. My uniform will no longer be white. My mom used to be proud of me. It tastes good though. But it's spicy. Do you guys eat spicy since you were a child? Like if I But if I eat this when I'm a child, I will be Oh yeah. Fruity.

M. Oh, fruity. To be honest, this and this is a very good combination. This and this is a good combination because this Oh my god. This What did you think? This is absolutely amazing. It evens out the spiciness of the sandwich. But this have a health rating of 0.5. You are a kid. Like you are not supposed to see the rating and stuff. You're just supposed to put this pipe in your mouth. M. Let's rate it. This one I'll give it 10 out of 10. YEAH. THE TASTE, but I think for a young kid, maybe a nine or eight cuz it's too spicy and it's a health thing.

I think I'll give this I'm going to rate this. Don't forget I ate this as of now, too. No, I need to rate this because I'm a son-in-law of Hong Kong and this is their national food. Okay, I'll give this 10 out of 10. Our next meal is our parents lazy meal. And I used to love my parents' lazy meal. What? Huh? This is something a kindergarten eat. Bro, you said lazy meal. Mom had lazy meal. This was lazy. Yeah, lazy. This is also very lazy. Yeah. The mom will cook roti and I will just take namkin and then she will let me take it and then I'll take some juice.

I mean I understand this as a snack. I think it will taste good. But lunch. Okay, let's not waste time. This looks really good as well. Of course, it looks good. So, here's the thing. Every single time, let's just say if we gone out for dinner and or like they didn't cook in the night time, they would just go to a bakery and grab me a bun. What's inside in this bun? Oh, let me make a bite for you. Okay, I will make my own bite. So, you know what? Like I used to make sure that my roti is full of numpkin. If it's half full, it doesn't look good. And then a big bite like this.

I love my food. This is actually you have eaten. Okay, my turn. Ma, if I study the same school with you, I would never want to take lunch with you. I think I would like it better if it is not roti. If it's bread, do you guys do bread? I used to eat this a lot with bread. Like bread and samosa. This or roti. The best thing ever. Have the juice. But why yaku with this? As a kid, I drink so much yaku. Like so much.

Yeah. Not with this. This doesn't make sense. Yaku goes with everything. M yaku. Okay, let's rate. Okay, I'll give it six. Seven out of 10. Seven. Yeah, I like this, but I feel like I'm snacking. I want a proper lunch. Like this is fine. This is not proper. This is snacking as well. Whatever. I'm going to give this 9 out of 10. This actually really good. I like this. But I think if this is fresh, like coming straight off the bakery, I'll give 10 out of 10. Okay, guys. I think kindergarten meals are finished.

I want to ask you a simple thing. Yeah. What is your favorite kindergarten meal which I gave you? this sandwich. Yeah, I knew she going to choose that for sure. Like, hey, don't say that enough. No, YOU DON'T SAY ANYTHING NOW. ANYWAYS, what is your favorite out of all three lunches? Um, see, need to take so long to think, which means all of them are good. What if we had the second one? I forgot. I think macaroni.

Yeah, I think macaroni is good. I think so. Macaroni and Vasa Soa is a good combination. All right. Are you ready to go to mid school now? Yes. One, two, three. Hey, I'm Nick. Nice to meet you. Do you want to go for lunch? I have a really nice lunch my mom cooked today. I also have a really like really nice lunch that I prepared. Yes. This is my favorite lunch from my primary school. What? Oh, your lunch is like so plain.

I just put it in. You started judging me already. Hey, what para is this? This is potato para. You're going to have the best time. What did you get? Chicken wings. Chicken wings, chocolate milk, and a mango pa. Doesn't this look like still a kidney lunch? Where is your mains? This is neck. So, the potion wise is exactly the same. Maybe you have a bigger drink than me. That's it. Okay. Let's chop. Let's let's let's share. Okay. Swap. But to be honest, we are in Australia right now. That's why that mango lassi is in the bottle. If we would be in India, it will come in like a big cup.

Let's see. How should I start? So you take a bite and you dip it in the yogurt and you just eat. M. Oh my god. This is actually good. But not a fan of yogurt. I like it just plain. Oh, this is good. This is deep fried. Yeah. Can I have my para? Oh my god. Nice. Aluka par. You like it? This is so good. Yeah. This is 100 out of 100. Like I'm doing this every day. The paras are so good, guys. This is so good. No joke. But why Milo? This is such a king me.

See, this is the reason like all my life. Oh, this is actually so good. Yeah. This is the reason why like when you were a kid, you were like no. I'm like, you're body shaming me now. I'm not body. You're body shaming me now. You're not body. It's because the portion that we eat. So, you're picking on my food now. I'm not picking on your food. I like it. I love it. You are picking on my food. I'm You like this is Okay. No, this is good. But why this jelly? What is this jelly?

Oh, wow. B. All right, let's rate. How much would you rate my aloo piranha? I'm going to say a seven cuz I really don't think para is a good thing to bring. Seven. I love aloo para but I like it like fresh. I like I think that's fair enough. I feel her as well because when I was a kid, you used to eat paras in the morning when mom used to cook tavis niklava and then the same paratha used to come in the lunch box and we used to eat it. That paratha was from 10 to zero because it just become like very soggy. I think this one I think I'll give 7 out of 10 as well because it's the same thing. It's very soggy. It's the same exact same thing.

If this would be like you know straight out of the fryer, I would be like 10 out of 10. So we are level score. Next, this is the lunch from my school canteen. Your lunch is so unhealthy. We should throw you out of the video now. Carrie, you keep picking your lunch. What do you mean it's unhealthy? It's so good. This is Shah Rukhan. This is Tufan. Thumbs up. This is soft nahit tufan. By the way, this is not a brand sponsorship guys. So from our school canteen, we used to eat kurich chaval, latchma chaw, bread pakor and samosi. The best thing ever guys.

The best thing ever. We don't have a canteen. We have like a snack bar, snack corner where you get snacks. But then you don't really get lunch from there. If you want lunch, you need to order lunch. Such a like spoiled kid. Me. Mommy, give me 20 rupees. I want to have canteen food. I will cook for you. Okay, let's try exchange eating with hands. What if I use knife all the Indians watching you jump out of that screen right now and tell you we don't do this. We either eat with hands or either we just don't eat. Okay, let's eat this. This looks so dry. Wow, this is actually really good.

Is it? M but maybe not as good as the bread. If I eat this food, I will not be able to focus at all in studying which I did. You have so much energy when you're doing lunch and then after lunch. Yeah, because whole thing to go to school is to do lunch. I feel like this is good, but this is very like I don't know plain picky. Yeah. Here. You try this. Sometime taste different, isn't it? That's why it tastes I don't know what how to say it but oh I need a thumbs up. Oh my god so good.

We will kill each other to keep the respect for our foods. You guys let us know in the comment section what is your primary school best lunch combo. Maybe we'll try it next time. Is it not the same one we had in the ki? It is still a soy milk product, but it tastes different. Okay, now rate. This is 8 out of 10. I would say the back pora is 8 out of 10. Well, again, it is just tit for tad, isn't it? That's why we need a third person here to keep the scores because this girl won't let me win.

It's really dry. I would want this and then to eat with something like soupy. Okay. Eight out of 10. Okay, let's go next. Mine is like a street food version. Is this humai? Yes. I will like that. This is something like we go out for lunch and then we'll go eat. Then this is what we'll buy. Ah, this is puri and chenn like the little brother of cholelay badur. Is it Coca-Cola? No, this is jaljira. What is jaljira? Jaliraa is like it's a drink of like cumin seeds and like different herbs and it helps you to cool down your body.

Cumin seeds. Is that right guys? Let me know. Maybe I'm saying it wrong. This is by far the most favorite primary school lunch I used to have. This looks like chur. Yeah, it is like this is a little brother of mura puri. So mom used to make this. Every time mom is in a happy mood, she will wake up early and she'll make alukuri or kuri chenn or chole. And that day would be the most happiest day of the week. I don't want to share this, but you know what? I'll share it because I like the sumai. This is sumai. This is chan.

What is this? This is tofu pudding. Oh, okay. Let's try. Okay, this food I will be enjoying it. Okay, let me open this for you. How do you open? WAIT. AH. AH! NO! My teeth hurt. How did you do that? Your teeth will come out. It won't. Nothing will come out. Kids, you are not supposed to try that. Okay, that's just Do not do this. Do not try that at home. Your mom and dad will kill me if your teeth comes out. It looks like It smells like a salted Coca-Cola.

Okay, let's not get there. Carrie, dig in. Okay. Sumi sumai. Sumi. Oh, next favorite Hong Kong food is sumai. Mhm. I will eat suma no matter what. I think this is probably your best lunch so far. It's not healthy. Carrie little bit of protein though. After I eat it, I will be in a coma. I won't even know a single word what THE TEACHER SAY. BUT THIS GIVE ME HAPPINESS. THAT'S the Indian food is all about. That's why all the people in India so happy. This is made of ata. So it goes in your stomach, it's still like expand a little bit and just calm down. But bura when it goes in your stomach, it's rolled up

like this and your stomach become like there. No matter what. How good is that? There's nothing better than puri. Oh my god. I used to have so many puris when I was little. Oh. Oh my god, I'm in heaven. Is it? Okay, let's try the drink. I'm not very excited about this. You should be. It's okay. You can try. Hey, what is this? IT'S SALTY. YOU'RE SUPPOSEDING no this thing. Okay, this is this Jira is actually not good. I don't know where did you get this joljira from.

This Indian store is no good. The jaljira is not good guys. It's not like that's not what Jira tastes like. You know the fresh gel actually have bundi in it as well. Bundi as in like little the little Yeah, it's so good. Carrie, we drink salted yogurt. We drink salted lassi. We drink salted cumin seeds. We drink jaljira. We have a lot of things. Okay. Let's try. What is wrong? You know, it's so funny because you guys, you know, this is such a cultural shock for us guys. So, you know how she doesn't like salted yogurt, salted drinks and stuff. Same with this. This makes me feel like I'm eating a sweet paneer.

My money is so different than Yeah. No, but it makes it feel like sweet silky paneer. And then you guys eat like sweet yogurt all the time. I'm done. I think I'm done. This is one of the lunch I actually want to finish. Really? Is it that good? Yeah. How much would you score this? 200. Wow. Indian food. I think this one I will give like 10 out of 10. And this is finishing our primary school. You guys tell us which is your favorite food in your primary school or in your Kindi school. All right. We gonna now go to our high school.

Okay, let's go. We are in high school. Wow. Yay. Wow. You look hot. Thank you. Okay, we have made it to high school, guys. And you know what? High school is the best time of your school years. Like best ever time. The friends you're going to make here, the things you're going to do, you will do everything in life for the first time. So, first bro, what did you bring for lunch, bro? Your babe. I'm not your bro. Are you? You're my babe. My high school babe. And you know what? You're going to bring lunch for me and I'm going to bring lunch for you. Are we going to be those cringe couples in the high school?

You know, who just always into themselves and like never ever like this is the world. Like this is the way. This is the world. This is the way. You guys let us know in the comments. What do you think? How would we will be if we would have met in high school. Okay, let's do less chap and bring our first high school meal. My favorite high school meal. Presenting my favorite high school meal. Rajma and Chavo. It's What is this? It's gajilla carrots pudding.

Presenting one of my favorite high school meals. Curry udong. I think I can confidently say this that Rajma Chaval is probably one of the favorite meals of a lot of Indian kids. Okay. Exchange. You know why I bring curry udon? Why? So when I was in high school, that was finally that we have a canteen that sell hot food. When I was in primary school, the canteen doesn't It's not a canteen. It is like a snack bar. All right, let's dig in. Okay. It smells so good. M. The curry actually gives me Indian taste. This is Japanese curry. I couldn't find a one that is similar. But then for us, they do curry fish ball on top of so what?

And this, you guys have seen this in millions of our videos to be honest. I'm hooked to this tea. How come people Carrie and me is actually getting on the same line now? Like we are getting there first meal in the high school. We are liking each other meals. Do you think we would have taken if we meet each other in school? She didn't say anything. If that would have happened, we would be killed in the school. First high school meal from Kerry is This is cool. Awesome.

Okay. Now I want you to try the gajak kahala. Since I was a kid, I love two kind of halvas. One suji kahalva, one gajaka halva. And every time mom will make it, I will smash the whole karai in khai. Why is it so red? Is it like it's carrots? We make it either with ghee or either we make it with ka. You like it? I like this. Okay, first high school meal. Barry's milk. 10 out of 10. Your milk 10 out of 10. I want to finish this. And then we'll bring the next one. Sound like a plan. 3 2 1. Oo, the next meal is here. This is one of the meals which every Indian eats like every second, third day. And then

serving next to it, it's uh green mango juice. Okay. What did you get? Egg sandwich. This is lab. This is so boring. This is so alternative. I don't want to share my food. We put bam in it. What is spam? Spam. Like ham. Yuck. What do you know about Hong Kong food? Huh? I don't want to share my food with her. Like look at this. I have one, two, three, four, five items. Look at this one item. And that's also like such a sad food.

No, it's not sad. This is so good. We all like the danti. What's wrong with the danti? Okay, with a very heavy heart, let's share the food. Nani. Paneer bji is my favorite subji. I don't want to. This is like when you were like low on money, then you go get a sandwich. So your own money. So high school you was running on your own money. In high school, your mom don't give you a budget and then you Bro, I used to do my part-time job in high school to get some funds. My mom and dad never give me pocket money. But let's eat such a sad lunch.

Okay. It's yummy. And usually have spam in it. Okay. All right. You have a bite first. Mhm. And then you eat it. Okay. Let me try this. The paneer is good. I don't like the pickle. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of paneer. I don't like this sandwich has no flavor except bread and egg flavor. Not even salt inside. Well, this feet when I was in high school. Weight control. Why your teeth is becoming yellow? You don't have this food. This is just food.

No, no, no. Know what is it good? Bro, what are you doing? I CAN'T EVEN DRINK THAT NOW. WHY DO YOU GUYS ALL DRINK SALTY DRINKS? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? Why do you put salt in drinks? Oh yeah, I can't even drink that. You just poured into it. No, I'm not drinking that. I'm not drinking. I have my drink. Thank you. Drink. Oh, the drink is good. Can I take a new glass, please? Can I please take a new glass?

You bought it back. So good, bro. It's kacham. It's green mango. It's kamita. Okay, this was our second last meal, guys, for the high school. Rate it with not a pickle seven with the pickle six. This five out of 10. This is so sad, bro. This is not even lunch. This is like I will first of all my mom never used to cook under in the house. But then this healthy when we was in school there was nothing like health. It was all about yummy. All right. So now we have came to the last segment of the video guys. So my last meal which I have prepared for you Carrie is my all-time favorite.

Okay. And let's bring the next one. Okay, last meal. Are you ready, Gary? Ready. I'm so excited to show you this. Let's go. My meal is here. Welcome to boarding school lunch. Corn and chicken a lot and then a soup next to it. You look like somebody puked in the plate LIKE THIS. THE LAST MEAL OF a high school carry. I got you maki roti satsuga sag with jalabbe with pickles with jaggery. And did you say they put this in boarding school? Yeah. So your parents pay the boarding school to feed you this?

I'm looking at it and I'm sweating. I have it. Can we not exchange for this one, please? Can I just have my meal? Look at my food. This video is about changing our food. Changing our lunch. Now let's go. See how hot I'm getting? I'm so nervous right now eating that. Okay. Let's just get on with it. It's maki roti. You had this in Punjab. You know what this tastes like? This tastes like English muffin.

Yes. Very similar. And then you take this. Then you put it in sag. This is green sag. M. That's really good. What is this? Scary tastes What is this? Okay, it's not bad. Okay, the joke jokes on part. This is not bad. What is this, Carrie? Soup. What kind of soup is this? You go to Hong Kong cafe, they always come with the soup. Do I have to have it? It's a stick. You are so exaggerating. I am not exaggerating. I was just expecting to see a meal which will look like this.

Can you explain what is what else is jalabbe? I know. Jalabbe. You know this is pickle. This is reddish. This is chili. Green chili. You can have a little bite. No. You don't like this? What is this? Try it. I'm not a fan of Try it. Okay. Right. It's like kimchi. Yeah. It's basically like a pickle kimchi. Like pickled radish. What is this? This looks like a chicken. Okay. Have a little bite.

It's sweet. It's jaggery. This we eat jaggery to make it digestion. You basically telling me you guys eat a big chunk of sugar. Yeah. To digest food after jagy is not just sugar. Jagy actually scientifically have very proven results of helping into digestion. Let's score five. Huh? Six. This is deliberate now. Like the how I got to have to say that this combo is really weird because they don't match together. They don't mix well together.

Okay. I think I will give that four. It's it's really I don't know what to say. I never want to say bad things about food. No offense to Cantonese people. I love your food. I love you guys. I love my fiance as well. But I can't have that. That is not good. How do you say sick? Sick fana. But like basic what bas if it's not sick, then what? What do you say? Basic. I thought you said basic mo. Mosk Mo.

Okay, fine. This is mosk. Then you tell me what is the best puron and uh macaroni with cheese chicken bun. Okay, so you my top three. What's your favorite? My favorite top one is puri chenn. Yes. Second going to be paneer sandwich. Number three is mango lassi with the paranto. So Nick's score is this. Carry score is that. Okay. All right guys, that's it for today's video.
