Uh, on to something a little lighter. Prince William, well, he's been showing off his cheeky side on the Graham Norton Show. The future king appeared alongside Australian wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin to promote his Earth Shop prize. Take a look at this. For the purposes of uh chat show land, how do I refer to you? Your whatever seats. Okay, I'm going win. Yeah, that's good. Okay. The prince is silent. Okay. And I guess because of Earth Shot, you all know each other. You've all a lot.

Old friends. Got a group chat. Yeah. And you are so famous. But uh recently you were at an event and someone didn't know who you were. Yes. Um that happens quite regularly actually. Um No, it does. It does happen quite a lot. It does. Um, but I went to a uh a place uh in Somerset and was looking around some of the local communities there and one lovely gentleman looked up at me from his seat and said, "Um, when are you going to sing?" I had many requests over many years for all ranging parts of society. And uh I said, "I'm I'm sorry. What do you mean?" And he goes, "Um, well, when are you going to sing your performance?"

And uh the lady behind tapped his arm, went, "No, no, he's not that prince. Well, everyone was on their best behavior. It was all very serious, very respectable until Robert's rather revealing underwear modeling campaign came up. Take a look. This is Robert with some snakes. William on top form there if I don't say so myself. I mean honestly some people thought the joke was a little too risque but I think Williams found the right balance between being royal and relatable. Don't you Charlotte? Absolutely. And he obviously really watches the Graeme Norton show and always has done because he's got that perfect thing. So, with the Graham Norton show, what you have to do if you're a celebrity or if you're a prince

is you've got to come on with like three or four perfectly rehearsed anecdotes with a punchline and then one kind of rude interlude such as that python joke. And um you can always tell when a guest sort of hasn't really got that memo, but clearly William had and he was very relatable. I thought that whole moment when Graeme Norton says, you know, what should I call you? And he could have I almost felt like he was alluding to the fact that Megan and Harry um call themselves prince and princess and their children even on their birthday cakes are called like Princess Lily and they call themselves you know Megan calls herself the duchess and h was it I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I almost feel like

that was a sly dig and it was so nice that you could tell William genuinely was saying you know whatever suits he doesn't really care and it wasn't put on I don't think for effect and then um how anyone could confuse him with Prince the artist. I don't know. But again, it was that perfect anecdote. It would just been rehearsed or not rehearsed, but he'd obviously planned to do a good job on that, you know, on that couch. And he didn't. He went down a real treat. It was just a shame that Andy Burner was on the other channel stealing his thunder. Meanwhile, in the tabloids, of course, you know, and it's, listen, Harry Megan aren't to blame for this, but obviously Thomas, so it almost overshadowed his

appearance. But I'm I was quite pleased to know amongst my friendship group anyway, everyone was talking about it the next day. So it didn't go unnoticed that appearance for sure. I certainly wasn't watching Andy Bernam on Gogglebox. I was absolutely watching William. And I think they've always had success is the best form of revenge. You know, you're completely right about the way that he just sort of holds his head high and he shows people that he's a real royal, not a pound store royal like Harry and Megan try to be. But you're right. you know, the headlines were dominated by that horrible story. So, um there you go. Charlotte Griffiths, thank

you so much for your time. Always such a pleasure having you on the show.
