this is it the moment has arrived we are going out in the campervan this time maiden voyage i'm so excited oh my god i am so excited i've not been this excited for anything in what seven months all right let's go oh my god win chuck's away well let's start that is the question give it one dab of fuel scott just made a joke about my white windscreen wipers aren't gonna work he's like only joke and they work where is it going it's leaving first fix let's pull in love so we just stopped to the services plan is to take her on her maiden voyage
checking those windscreen wipers they're working i'm gonna head to western super mare because let's be quintessentially british and go to western super mare whilst the weather is absolutely horrific and then we're gonna make our way along the coast all the way to land's end fingers crossed he makes it and um yeah back up penzance and things like that and back home we've got four days so the further we get down south the better the weather becomes as you can see it is absolutely gorgeous to have the windows open because it's so hot in here oh um yeah we have heaters that blow but we can't turn them off
focus pass the rain you [__] is why i should have taken us to get from birmingham's western souvenir um we'll be closing in on three hours fix number two fixed number when we're almost just falling off in the wind but we made it to western super mario and i just saw this and it just takes me back to my childhood wakio oh my ancient beautiful ain't she a beauty she's a beauty aware of the ugly boogie monster yeah it comes out at night oh we're good then we're grand oh by the way we didn't go into um onto the pier because the queue i didn't know yet i must have to pay to get on or something because the queue is absolutely awful ah yes just here for the arcade games to be honest thanks dad we've already got him captain america
from our stint in brighton and scott cleared out is he going to do it again new bye western superman that was a fun couple of hours use the right lane to turn right onto carlton street a370 thank you so we're gonna head to minehead and uh find a little campsite so we just called one campsite which was like walking distance to town but you have to be a member and it's like 56 pounds a year um so i think we're gonna chill on the membership until we figure this whole camping thing out so we're just gonna wing it and head towards them mine head and figure it out from there so it's about an hour and 20 minutes by five hours in this not bad oh dear now the other windscreen wipers gone to sleep hello little one
third time's a charm chess now this one's going again from his like some is really downpouring at times so it's not like we can just leave it update we found a little farm we can camp up at and they've got power and everything and some shared facilities they said they have limited obviously because of everything going on um but they do have they should have their website says they do have toilets and shower facilities if we need them but we do have a toilet in the van so if we need so we can so what no darling just checked into the console so yeah we found like a little farm uh because we're gonna do some wild camping but we're so new to this it's quite scary like what if we don't find a place just pull
up sleep on side of the road i don't know it's scary but we'll try and do it we'll try and do but for now we're gonna stay um it's lovely little farms ten pounds each and five pounds of electricity so 25 pounds for the night with 240 hookup and they do have showers and toilets open which is great because i'd love a shower in the morning i would very much appreciate so um scott is absolutely gagging for a cold pint so uh i think that's what we're gonna go to so we've locked ourselves out the van it doesn't we shouldn't lock on its own but it must have been slammed so hard that the lock has fallen down and i thought oh thank god my partner is an auto locksmith and thank god for me leaving the window open
the whole time uh not a professional accurate use of what he does at work may i add but he doesn't have any picks with him to get it open and the keys are inside you shouldn't have locked what the [__] it looks can i get my arm in there you just need to me to pull up the thing yeah well i could try and do that i've got a thin arm oh god this terrible lighting doing on my phone because i'm going bloody did it got my arm down that was so funny i got my arm in and i popped it yes oh my god no way like i mean i shouldn't have left that window open but thank god i did just a crack and i could get my arm right down oh my god i'm freaking out of there because i came back from brushing my teeth and going to the toilet and scott
was still in there and i tried the side door which was meant which was open it locks itself like when you slam it locks it like drops the lock and yeah and i literally said to the skull when he came out of the toilet you locked the van we went together and he was like no and he just bolted oh my god right keep the keys on me at all times yes i was just around because i couldn't see them especially around me yeah i saved her asses so the window was open i didn't even check that out no i didn't even know the window was open and i just glanced upon the window just becoming
foreign hi good morning a brother good morning so we are in a place called poor lock and we're spa staying at um spark haze camping site um it's about five ten minutes out of mine head and it's great like waking up now we can actually see the farm uh we did have to call up we called the campsite around four um because they will shut up shop um so that was good we're on our way and we were like okay this looks like a good one it's ten pounds per person plus an extra five pounds if you want an electrical hookup the services are open they're very clean the showers and the toilets uh the guy was really nice but it's lucky we called because he waited for us and then after we were checked in and we parked up and he shut down shop
uh but it's a great little location there's like three pubs one of them is literally out of this farm uh so if you want a little night cap before you snuggle down but the wind and the weather has been awful but we're gonna head to it's at linton i think that's where we're heading to today i saw this crazy like the world's steepest water powered railway track steepest yep goes like up the side like the one in budapest and there's a gorge and the sea and yeah super excited so another day of adventuring what a beautiful day oh thank you very much spark campsite would be back we'll be back there's quite the hill trudging up in first come on baby you can do this we believe
hopefully the worst of it's gone did you turn this corner it's like straight up oh no i spoke too soon keep going it's clearly not down that dirt track way i don't like it so yeah if you're gonna take the road from um like mine's headway to linton just be warned that your vehicle might not like you for it beautiful gouges keep saying the words charlie they'll be true soon thank you sir you can overtake it we leave our haven adventure charlie it's so pretty though not like you can enjoy it oh wow this is bad this is insane my god would you look at the view stunning wait to see just about see it beautiful we made it oh what a cute little town well welcome great little parking spot chess can now breathe look how pretty this town is
really gorgeous really nice drive was scary though i know well done babe honestly that was crazy that storm i don't think you know how to hear me with the wind um but there's the world's steepest um water powered rail line i just found a little place for breakfast it's really cool inside they have all of these terrifying photos everywhere so this is where we just came for breakfast and absolutely delicious so i got three pound each to go on how does it work then it works for the past okay yeah so you've got a big tank at the top underneath there's the tank oh yeah 700 gallons on each car oh wow so i released the weight like the top heavier oh wow and now he's just a gravity he's heavy enough to pull me up all the way oh that's cool
that was really cool i hope i picked up him explaining how that worked what a view and the sun is coming out oh my little windswept how are you good so pretty it's so pretty and the sun is ish coming out and in oh what have you yeah we gotta get back down to the bottom there we're hoping it's this way back down to where it doesn't matter and i said if it's not we're making it our way back down because i ain't coming back up that hill a warning um so we took the train up and we're walking back down to the town towards the gorge don't do it the other way around get the
train up and walk back down because it's so steep coming down but there is a handrail that will help unless someone decides to push you just out of theory of if you started running down this hill do you think you'd be able to stop let's try ally trying to stop us off going down the hill all right linworth and linton lin town uh lynn mouse i don't know yes 10 out of 10 would recommend stopping by beautiful little town um plenty to do as well go and see the gorge go on the train um yeah ten out of ten we didn't
actually go into the gorge six pounds each um but we're gonna head off now uh land's end ain't gonna happen let's just be realistic we had no idea how precious she we should call her precious how precious she is um so when google map says three hours it's more like four and a half five and the conditions have been pretty terrible so um yeah that didn't work out for us we're not gonna get to lansing this time i think we're gonna aim to get to exeter uh for tomorrow morning gonna look at the map now and um figure it out but yeah 10 out of 10 would stop here and it's so pretty just wandering around all the little streets yeah lovely right
next so okay so we are heading through dartmoor national park right now and scott genius he is use the app park for night and it'll show you all the little places like lay-bys you can pull into and sleep but also pubs yeah so long as you like just buy a drink or a meal or something they're more than happy for you to stay in their car park and so we found one it's about half an hour away so an hour and we just slide the route through the national park very pretty right now
and the sun is shining it's a beautiful day we did give them a ring just to double check that the app wasn't out of date or anything and yeah they still do offer it they were like just going to the car park um through the gates and park wherever you can down there um and yeah we'll go for a couple of beers obviously wanna be rude um so yeah this is amazing we're doing everything jelly we're doing it all staying in the campsite staying night in the campsite stay in the pub i mean that just sounds brilliant to me i can do this every time just stay in a pub car park but you have to buy a drink okay shall oblige your destination oh it's cute turabian excellent spot choice hey dude i'm a bit of a slant like oh god we really are all right sorry dudes
oh my god hello oh are you trying to hurt me all right so it's morning time so i just thought i'd show you where we parked up this is the lower car park and there's the pub right there um and yeah they're really nice weren't they yeah so you just gotta buy a meal or a drink and they're happy for you to pack up for the night which is really cool so yeah had a great night's sleep let's get on the road we're heading to exeter and away we go big shout out to klekker's arms cheers so not open to the public on sunday
damn i don't mind cause i've seen it but i realized got to see it i'll put some photos up so you can see the inside so i came to external long ago so i did two talks down here in the um student accommodations oh they're open the book cycle is open i'm just gonna film on my phone quickly and so this bookshop only to come the last time oh look at the upstairs so basically you can pick three bucks that's the limit and you pay what you want like whatever you can contribute so cool look amazing oh look at all the cozy blankets in there wow so just come down to the key and look at these how did we get in there all right that was epic timing we literally got in the pan shut the doors and the heavens opened we
could not have time that any better head towards the cotswolds now just so tomorrow isn't just a massive streak so we've not got a ton of driving to do tomorrow so go halfway back to birmingham ish and we'll camp in the cotswolds we just pulled off other services off the m5 uh so like i said we're heading up to the cotswold so the drive back to birmingham isn't massive tomorrow but yes that bookstore how amazing i want to show you what i got so you basically you have a limit of three books any books even from the massive big non-fiction hardbacks anything you want three books and you pay what you can and um we went upstairs to have a look and it's so cute up there and when we came down we had no books
because i don't want to pick up a book that i wasn't going to read because someone else might like it and if i was going to walk with no books i was gonna make a donation anyway and the guy was like if you've got a few coins like please pick up three books you might as well i was going to say you can pay anything for them so i'll show you what i picked up so to go on my already read collection i picked up to kill a mockingbird which i have read before and it's really this actually the edition that i read as well and so that was nice pick that up uh this one was random it was the last one i picked up but um it's a story a little beautiful hardback of what don't look at my vlogging camera and i picked up this beautiful uh mark
twain collection it's got the adventures of tom sawyer the adventures of huckleberry finn the prince and the pauper and putin head wilson um so i've never read any of those and i do want to get into classics so i paid even though i could have chased us picked up these books probably except maybe the mark twain one for like 50p or less from my local charity shop i really wanted to support them so i gave them a tenner they want to do it from tree to book and back again so you decide the price you pay for our books trees and workshops and donations are used to send books to children in developing countries and plant trees across the uk absolutely amazing right hit the we're road into a ship hi captain we're
taking on water it's been a rapid rate get the bucket meow so just parked up outside beautiful little chapel a place called what's an underage it's always and uh we're gonna be living our best lives with some pot noodle oh fancy it's in the latson oh office demons so scott did it again um on that app same app we got another pub that we can go and park in it's called the dane weight in it's near siren sister um so yeah we're gonna head there now it's about 35 minutes but probably take my 45 an hour depending um to get there and yeah they normally just do four tenths but we told them we know we got a small vw van so they said we can park in the car park cows dead ahead i repeat cows dead ahead oh look at the baby hey dude
as you do hello oh look at the babies oh cuteness they're everywhere what the hell someone want to let the farmer know oh look at you precious the random village of cows just almost there well good morning it's monday morning hello pub it was a really good sleep actually really quiet and look at this blue sky so basically the deal is with dainway um is they have a little campsite and i'm pretty sure it's down here you can't take your car but they allow people to pitch up their tents that's why they asked us like we don't have anywhere for camp fans how big is she said she's pretty small so they're like yeah cool uh so if you want to use those showers and toilets which is just there apologies for the wind and then it's
ten pounds each a night and they're so lovely the landlady is wonderful and yeah it's like in this secluded little valley in the cotswolds really pretty um so yeah we had a great night's sleep we're getting used to this stuff but we're heading back to birmingham today so just taking a bit of a walk from the car park because the landlady said that there's um an old canal with an old tunnel that a certain time of year you can actually walk all the way through but um right now it's collapsed in the middle and full of water ah there it is so this was the canal oh wow look definitely wear your boots if you're gonna come this way very muddy it's beautiful look at those colors and we're back okay so if you do happen
to like come here or camp up here then it's where the landlady told us to go just down this little path here um and yes by five ten minutes and you'll get to the abandoned and used canal and up into that field just past it what a great stay and if we hadn't had that extra beer we wouldn't have got talking to the landlady who to give us all the advice always have another one it's always a good idea oh look at her oh she looks so cute on the road again so we're kind of in scott's territory now and um as the weather is holding out for us oh there are people here already so yes guys brought me to broadway tower oh there's the tower would you look at that because we didn't expect the weather to be this nice so
apparently we're gonna get some great views okay so we just had a little mooch uh broadway tower you can go up we just say six pounds each i think sorry if you wanted to go up and they were laying in one like group or family at a time uh but we didn't do that um but you can walk right up to the tower really see the clothes take some photos and you still get like a stunning view so we are heading back home oh there's a bunker a nuclear bunker there which you can go down into at certain times the yeah so that's what there you go yeah it's um
between like may or october or something so we missed it by like two days yeah plenty to do around there it was really beautiful thank god the sun came out finally this whole weekend we got some sun just as we're heading back to birmingham
