In this edition of ONE Weekly, we celebrate the greatness of Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and her journey to becoming the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai world champion. Welcome to ONE Weekly. On June 19th, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues squares off against Phetjeeja at the Inner Circle with the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai world title on the line. The prestigious belt she won following a historic debut victory against former three-sport queen Stamp. After an extended hiatus to become a mother, she returned to action in March 2023.
She battled American legend Janet Todd to determine the undisputed world title. In the Western world, Allycia Rodrigues and Janet Todd lead the women's Muay Thai movement. Tonight, one will emerge as the undisputed champion of the world. When I first had my fight at ONE Championship against Stamp, I didn't know what to expect. It was my first time being on the world stage like this, a big platform. But then, I got in the ring, kind of let go, and trusted myself. That's when I realized I am capable of more. But it's Janet Todd who is now a two-sport world champion.
An American Muay Thai world champion. I think this is a dream come true. My moment's here, so I'm excited. This is what I've been waiting for ever since she captured the title. And new ONE Atomweight Muay Thai world champion. I definitely want to remove the interim. I want to be the undisputed world champion. It means more to beat the champion. It means that I beat the best to become the best. Todd's precise counter attacks slowed down her opponent's signature aggression until Rodriguez found her boxing rhythm in round three.
The battle in round three in this world title fight, unification bout in the atomweight Muay Thai division on the women's side. The combination OPEN FROM TODD. TODD lands left through the guard of Rodriguez. And Todd's coming out in this third firing THROWING HAND COMBINATIONS. TODD AND HER CORNER was saying how her running into shots. You can utilize that forward momentum against her and run into her punches. Left body kick from the top trying to go and touch there. Stiff jab from Todd. And here we keep Rodriguez. She's winning in there.
NICE HEAD KICK BY RODRIGUEZ. LADIES Rodriguez turning it on. SHE'S CONNECTED. RODRIGUEZ ON A COUPLE OF NICE SHOTS IN THE OPENING minute of this third round. This is a very important round here for Rodriguez. I don't know, Rich, you think Todd's up 2-0? Another kick left to the side of the face of Todd. Possibly one of those rounds 10-10 though. Really important third round here for Rodriguez as Todd looks busted up on the right side of her face.
Blood coming down. Todd under siege now against the fence. The blood coming down the right SIDE OF HER OOH, THAT'S THOSE BOXING COMBINATIONS. The elbows coming in. This is exactly what she did in the stand-up in the first two rounds. She Her pace was just low. That's what I was talking about with JANET TODD IN THE FIRST TWO rounds and taking advantage of the slow pace that Rodriguez typically runs. But you can see Rodriguez picking it up here and she's entering that clinch range. Even if she's not clinching, it's those elbows, the same elbows that she threw with Stamp Fairtex and that is keeping Janet from being able to just
set her plant her feet and actually throw the punches and the combinations she likes to throw. Todd is damaged here IN THE THIRD WITH LESS than a minute to go. Todd. It's the rear elbows that gives Todd a little bit of benefit there not being her knee. Rodriguez starting to turn on here She can sense blood in the water here. Rodriguez can with less than 30 seconds. Todd comes back firing. Good guard by Rodriguez. Todd's got to keep that distance, create those angles, and get back to her kicking game. She does not want to be in this tight range with Rodriguez.
Closing seconds, round three. And that will do it. Good stuff. Nice round by Rodriguez there. Rodriguez continued to put her foot on the gas, landing more heavy shots against Todd. Heavy left again from Rodriguez. She's been so successful. Her overwhelming offense proved enough to become the undisputed champion. Your winner by unanimous decision, and now the undisputed one atomweight Muay Thai champion of the world, Allycia [screaming] Hellen Rodrigues!
[screaming] [groaning] In March 2024, Rodriguez faced her next title challenger in the form of ISKA atomweight world champion Kristina Morales. Morales exploded with her boxing combinations from the opening bell. This fast start is very important for Morales. It's a right hand to the body and overhand right there by Morales.
Rodriguez maintained her composure and punished the Spanish challenger inside the clinch. Rodriguez tying her up inside the clinch. The defending champ showcased her entire arsenal entering the championship rounds. What would you suggest if you're in the corner of Christina Morales? You got to see more from her. You got to see the activity that we saw in the first and second. She has to stay out of the clinch as well. She did a good job making the adjustments in that third end of the third round where she was
creating those angles. You got to see more of that. That's a nice body kick landed by the champion right there, though. Here comes Morales. Morales fighting more with a sense of urgency in this fourth round. And right Alicia Helen Rodriguez she is literally when she gets busy, she's like an avalanche. She picks up steam and it's very hard to stop her. Yeah, I think she's going to stick to the game plan that we saw in the third. Slowly starting to inch forward, utilize the hands, look for the close-range elbows. All right, and then just get into that clinch and throw those knees.
Nice combination there landed by the challenger. She backs up the champion. And a body kick there by Rodriguez. But this is the kind of fight where you have to bite down on your mouthpiece and realize that you have a very much action-filled champion in Alicia Helen Rodriguez. As Rodriguez keeps coming forward, stalking the challenger Morales. There's a counter right hand by the challenger. Body kicks there by Rodriguez. We're starting the midway point of the fourth round. More significant power shots LANDED BY THE CHAMPION, BUT THE challenger is fighting it here in this fourth. That body shot might have hurt her.
Yeah, she went backwards and she's retreating in a major way. Rodriguez sensing that she might have the challenger hurt in Cristina Morales. And knees two right there from that same spot. Trying to attack the abdomen and the solar plexus of Morales. Morales is starting to fade a bit as Rodriguez digging to the body with the jab. A left hook to the body. The champion looking for a finish against Cristina Morales, but answering BACK IS THE CHALLENGER. YEAH, Rodriguez has zeroed in on the body shots.
Trapping Morales is the corner. Back in the clinch, the knees are going to fire off soon. Yep, there's one. Right now with knee shield, too. It was hard for Morales to maintain a poker face because those body shots and that body attack HAVE TAKEN AN EFFECT UPON MORALES. Another body kick THERE BY RODRIGUEZ. VINCE ON THE INSIDE. The third round three minutes. Is really having a big fourth round here. Rodriguez's clinical performance extended into the final round as she cruised to a unanimous decision victory to retain the atomweight Muay Thai gold.

[screaming] Still to come, Alicia Helen Rodriguez takes her game to the next level. Brazilian superstar Alicia Helen Rodriguez reached the pinnacle of her career when she became a ONE World Champion in 2020. After monumental victories over Stamp and Janet Todd, Rodriguez next put her title on the line against British star, Marie McManamon. Rodriguez forced McManamon onto the back foot, attacking with her hands and push kicks.
There's a left hook that backed up McManamon. BIG RIGHT HAND THAT WOBBLED MCMANAMON. IN round three, McManamon tried to match the defending champ's aggression, but she was caught by Rodriguez's huge left hook. There's a KICK THAT WOBBLED MCMANAMON. ALL RIGHT HAND THERE AS RODRIGUEZ COMING FORWARD WITH HIGH VOLUME. ANOTHER RIGHT HAND BACKING UP THE CHALLENGER. BIG SHOTS BY RODRIGUEZ. RODRIGUEZ LOOKING TO POUR IT ON THE CHALLENGER. AND SHE PUTS DOWN MCMANAMON WITH A VICIOUS LEFT HOOK. Rodriguez stayed relentless in round four. Rodriguez literally her ammo. She gets stronger as the fight progresses to round number four. This one's scheduled for five. Rodriguez with the knockdown
of McManamon in the previous round. Yeah, it was a beautiful shot, too. McManamon's going to have to go here with those kicks going. Force Rodriguez onto the defensive cuz right now it's all offense coming from the Brazilian champion. It's almost to that mindset you might have to fight fire WITH FIRE. THERE'S THE champion looking to walk down McManamon. I like the added head neck kick by Alicia Helen Rodriguez. She used to like to chop legs, but it's now these head kicks are finding their mark as well. Nice little tool added to the game
for AHR. She puts out the jab. McManamon can't stand there on the ropes. She has to move. As Rodriguez comes forward, but there's an elbow by the challenger. Rodriguez with for AN OPENING. STIFF JAB AS MCMANAMAN GOES BACKWARDS. THERE'S A BODY KICK. They both exchange kicks. I'd like to see a jab by McManaman to at least try to keep Rodriguez AT BAY. COMBINATIONS COMING FROM MCMANAMAN. HERE'S WHERE she has to be careful. Good, strong clinch by the champion punishing the body.
Knees being delivered by the champion followed by a head kick. See Rodriguez in seek and destroy mode. A left hook to the body followed by a left hook upstairs. The nose bloodied of McManaman. A right hand for the champion. Rodriguez pouring it on. Big shots AND SHE HAS MCMANAMAN IN THE CORNER. Big power shots being thrown. A right hand. That's not backing down at all from McManaman. McManaman's got to move, Ray. She's getting pinned in that corner. It's not where she can utilize her best assets, which are those kicks in that range. She has to circle out.
Here's Ilisha Rodriguez. Beautiful hand combination to the body, to the knee. Looking for the up elbow as Rodriguez continues to push. Under 38 seconds to go in the fourth round. A massive right hand for the champion. That's a great kick. Rodriguez looks incredible. Left hook. That punch gets DESTINATION FOR RODRIGUEZ. As McManaman going backwards, SHE'S SO TOUGH SHOWCASING that warrior spirit, but Rodriguez is just a bit too much. As we get ready, there's a left hook. That missed, but Rodriguez is looking in this fight at any moment.
Especially after the bevy of strikes that she's It's at McManaman. Rodriguez dancing, looking for shots. Get to fight round on the way. Last round. A lot of damage visibly to McManaman, but this is the fifth and final round and they're going to call it. over. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues gets the stoppage victory over Marie McManaman. Rodriguez's overwhelming offense forced a doctor stoppage, which earned her first bonus in the promotion. She looked to repeat a decisive performance when she fought WBC Muay Thai world champion Yohana Persson in May 2025.
There's a reason WHY SHE IS THE PLANET'S TOP MUAY THAI ANIMAL. THIS IS ABSOLUTE MADNESS. THE ONE ATOMWEIGHT MUAY THAI CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. I'm not scared to walk in this fight because a fear is a liar. This is absolutely my biggest opportunity in life. I'm so excited for this one. I'm a world champion. To add this belt to my collection would mean everything. This is the biggest title in combat sports. I used to watch Alicia when I started and now it's an honor to share the ring with her. Alicia has really good technique, she has really good IQ, she's strong. I know this going to be my toughest fight ever, but when my
hand gets raised as the new world champion, I will feel like everything has been worth it. Rodriguez operated at a methodical pace as Persson struggled to create her offense. Good control in the clinch as she continues to pump out the jab, forcing Persson to run into shots. In round two, Rodriguez's elite clinch game came alive and put the Swedish challenger in further trouble. Rodriguez looking strong inside the clinch, able to get inside position. Rodriguez turned to her power and precision in the third round.
This is typically where we get to see Rodriguez really start to shift gears and go through the motions as Persson continues to come forward. NICE BODY KICK RIGHT there to the arm of Persson as Rodriguez creates a little bit of space. The eyes locked in and focused, ready for this third round of five if we need them. Rodriguez just a little bit more explosive, a little more pop on her strikes. Persson has the volume but Rodriguez really turns the striker over, REALLY TURNS HER OVER. BIG LEFT HAND. HOOK SNEAKING THROUGH THE GUARD AND CRUMPLING PHETJEEJA TO THE CANVAS. Phetjeeja's going to have to dig deep now.
Hook. She is tough and she is game, but she's got to watch out. It might be time to get on the bicycle and move a little bit. She looks wobbly, MITCH. I'M GOING BACK TO the body and the hook sits down Phetjeeja and that's it. BEAUTIFUL FINISH for Alecia Hellen Rodriguez, shifting gears, going through them all. Boom. Didn't even need four and five, Brian. Finishes her in the third round. Alecia Hellen Rodriguez is now a five-time ONE World Champion.
