And Karris the last player to get into the field. She was an alternate from her qualifier when Celine Boutier won last week on the LPGA tour. She was already exempt so that opened up a spot for Karris Davidson and she has taken full advantage here. This to avoid going back-to-back bogey. Paige has had a lot of fun at this distance. She's making very nice cuts throughout the day to even be in this position at just one over par. Japan's Ayaka Furue one of the best putters in the game. Uh-huh. To three under she goes. At the 15th, this is Yu. 21-year-old from KLPGA going along well and has set herself up for a birdie there.

Not too far away up on the 15th green. Saw that lovely approach from Yu. Yeah. Well, this is at the first. Jessica Lianna here for birdie. 20-year-old finished her junior year at Florida. At the fifth, Andrea Lee for birdie. Andrea is a local product. Big week for her. Yeah!

Oh, yeah. Began. Lottie Woad, 17th hole of the day, third shot eight. Coming off a victory in Cincinnati just a couple of weeks ago. She won her pro debut last summer. And here is Yu to tie the lead. Player with three wins on the Korean LPGA tour. Okay, so a bogey at the par-3 fourth, gets one back at the par-3 sixth, and two under par Sei Young Kim. Lost in a playoff at the Olympic Club in 2021. Almost the 54-hole leader in 2023. Fell away on the final day. Did they read it right? They did.

This is Sei Young Kim, her second at the seventh. Just a hole that it's about precision. Putting it in the correct position on the fairway, and putting in the correct position on this green. And that is textbook. That's the correct position. Able to get green-side with that second shot. See if she can get up and down. 13th US Women's Open appearance for Sei Young Kim. She won a major at Aronimink. Very nice. Really good, isn't it? Now, Yeun for the birdie. After a great shot and a great job by her caddy there with that second, this is a really short putt considering what she had. And that's a fantastic finish.

All right, so Sei Young Kim's going to have a hard time staying at four under. This for Inbee Park Yeun to shoot 3 under 68. And so, Inee in her second year on the LPGA tour. She had a huge lead there on Saturday. Led by as many as eight shots. Had the lead coming into Sunday. That's a nice way to finish. A par at the last for Sei Young Kim. And it is going to be the low round so far here. Always a four. Yeah, never looked like anything different.

Never a doubt. But it was so well read. She hopes she can match her low round in the championship. Still, it's a good opening day. I mean, a little disappointed with the bogeys coming home, but a great day. It's a bit of a bounce back for her. This to get to 2 under. She's a fun player to watch. She can really move it off the tee. Player of the year back in 2023 from Southern California. Played at UCLA. Lilia Vu. First hole of the day. To the 10th. Rose Zhang from Southern California. Played at Stanford. And this to start her championship off with a birdie.

All right, to the second. And Kupcho, you'd love 4-4 to start here, wouldn't you, Paige? Yes. And if you got a good one at 133 yards, you might end up with 4-3. How about that? Nearly 4-2. This is the 2015 champion, Inbee Park, for a birdie. Kupcho knows what it's like to be at the uh Think about her amateur career in the Augusta National Women's Amateur and major championship as well. And that's it. I mean quite something with the variety of holes that you have to start the golf course here. Oh, how about this? Aphrodite ding.

Is ding for a birdie. More conventional route here at 13. First hole of the day for Korea's Minjee Kang. A couple years on the LPGA tour. Got her card back through the Epson. And what they've been presented this week. I agree. Yeah, and she'll have a good chance for a birdie. Comes down to trust. Trust your line. No second guessing. Yeah. And it's just another birdie for Kupcho. She is Veronika Kedronova from Czechia, 21 years of age. And she'll be playing in the Palmer this year in Ireland for the international team. And only five players today have gone left. I'm actually surprised the number is that high.

It's birdie putt for Rose Zhang at 15. That's a good birdie today. Nice start for Lilia Vu at the championship. This uh eighth hole of the day, the 17th. And forcing it into that pocket where they have the flag cut today on the back left. So, good chance to get to three under for Lilia Ko. See if she can capitalize on that fact. Good starting line. Just needs a little bit of stop. Yes, so that's going to be a good chance for birdie for Michelle Wie West get it back to level par. Great to see. It's amazing she's only 36 years old. Playing very aggressively turning one towards the hole. This looks good.

Getting better. Minjee Lee will have that to get into red numbers. Yeah, they have learned something from watching Na In Thidikul play. Charley Hull for birdie at nine. Got a good read from Jin Young Ko in front of her who did make that great putt for par. Jodi Ewart Shadoff in. Minjee Lee went to the long putter early last year. Led to another major. Paula Reto at 16. Oh, she's going to love that one.

I normally don't talk too much about the wind but it's really funneling down. This green towards her. Oh, that is very tasty. So she is tied for the lead now. Third at the first having made the turn. Easy. Yep, beautiful. Is it going to go? Wasn't far away. And this will put her at four under par. So we have an amateur tied for the lead. A high schooler tied for the lead. Yet another good one from Jennifer Kupcho and one that gives her the lead outright. So we have a new leader.

Lydia Ko has started the championship with 10 straight pars. She would like to end the run here with a birdie at 11. And she does. This is Bianca Pagdanganan at the seventh for birdie. Nice to see her under par. She's got so much power in her game. Just needs to find some fairways, keep it in play. That's three birdies in a row for her and she is just a couple back off the lead. Yes. Nice. It's got a good amount of break to it here this putt. Oh, what a beautifully played hole. And a par putt here for Jea Shin.

Bogey-free today. And that continues. Scrambling seven of seven. So she's been really good. There's a lot of slopes on this green that you can use as well to bring the ball towards the middle of the green. This one's on a fade. She missed that right of her target. Where she was looking was a little bit underneath that. Well, in nine previous U.S. Women's Opens, Kupcho has never broken 70. She's missed the cut. Minjee Lee. That is a wonderful wedge game. That's a wonderful wedge game. Still not got much green to work with for her third.

It's wide open going with the high flop shot. On a golf course that isn't that easy. She made it look like it was very doable. Yeah, well done. She won the Chevron Championship in 2022. So, 20 starts since her last top 10 in a major. Oh, nice finish there from Aphrodite Dedang who let a few shots slip away. This to save par. And put together a four over par opening round and she does. That's a big finish. That could be important.

Now, Shibuno to finish with her par. And she does as well. Good four. For birdie at the par three.
